I don't think KTH & KRW went back to Korea together. In fact, I hadn't seen any pics of him leaving, only saw KTH's so far. Some of us have even wondered whether they sat together on the flight to Taiwan haha, I think they can probably enjoy conversing with each other. realised that it was at this scene (esp3 of 18) that KHW realised that he might be/is in love with Soo-In.
(before that, he just thought that soo-in is a very interesting girl that he seems to be always running into..)

Yea Kim Hyunwoo fell for her at first sight but he didn't realise it until after he followed her to Brad's house & see how she cared for Brad etc.... and he was so direct, he told her straight tht he thinks he's beginning to like her.

I wonder how it feels now to rewatch esp since we knw wat happened to them at the end hehe. So fun to watch their beginnings again haha. When they 1st met and had those funny encounters, never would they expect they would get married & become parents in future....

Thanks heaps and enjoy watching LSIH. The storyline was captivating and envigorating, the cast performance was brilliant and moving, needless to say, it was the Chemistry between Kim Rae Won, Kim Tae Hee and Lee Jeong Jin that made this series totally convincing.

I'm extremely pleased with the ending and how the characters have been portrayed throughout. As much as I love the fact that there was no betrayal between KRW and KTH, I can't help but feel sorry for LJJ, whose love was not reciprocated despite all the genuine sacrifices he made for KTH. He may have been overly ambitious when it came to his career, but he had always been true to KTH. This is what I call unconditional love...even if the person you love can't be with you for any reasons, you will not stop loving him/her nor try to sabotage his/her happiness. Good on LJJ's character - I thought at first Jina would change for the better and they would reconcile in the end. Somehow I'm still glad LJJ was able to confess his true feelings to KTH and even though she cannot accept him, she still acknowledged it so it was good enough for me.

Definitely a must-watch series to those who are contemplating, especially if you're a huge fan of KTH and KRW like me. Being introduced to the talented LJJ is a bonus!

RBR, thanks for sharing... yeah, saw him smoking in WSAYF too... I think most korean actors do smoke maybe because of the weather in korea... anyways, RBR is there any way for us to D/L those vidz?

yah. saw him smoking in WSAYF, thought that it is the character that need him to smoke...but it's only until i watched the BTS, that confirmed that RW is a smoker..
personally, i don't like to hang around people that smoke. 'cos i will become very sneezy, whenever i smell smoke. wonder how KTH felt. when she need to act/work with him. just right after his puff...(where the air and jacket still have the smoke smell )

I've watched the first two nights of LSIH ... and I so love it, I'm starting to miss Hyun woo and Soo In now...

its cool gma preferred not to dub those english speaking characters in the series, like Hyun Woo's dorm mates and Prof Keynes of course!

the only thing I hate about it is the tagalog theme they used, I really don't like it. I emailed them already, just hope they reconsider changing the tagalog theme they used.

Everyone seems to be criticizing the english speaking skill of the korean actors. good thing filipino dubbers are good at dubbing and giving proper diction and pronounciation.

To cherillyn, thanks for making a thread for Lee Jungjin, I love him Actually I fell for Jungmin first before I fell for Hyunwoo although before tht I already kinda liked Kim Raewon in My Love Patzzi and in actual fact hadn't seen LJJ prior to LSIH.... but JM won me over first back in Harvard even when he's arrogant haha, I started liking him frm tht scene at the library when HW came & approached him for the Keynes book & JM doesn't give in.... then after the book chase, he smiled.... a charming smile tht melted my heart.... so for the most part of my first viewing of LSIH, I actually was rooting for JM haha.... but HW did win my heart too when he got more mature & proved to me tht he could protect Soo In & shower her with all the love.... I'll try to drop by the LJJ thread when I can, but I ain't got any idea where to get his news too....

I do agree with you tht the cast were excellent! And there was chemistry b/w the 3 leads, I love all 3 of them I'm torn b/w the 2 guys.... more than Soo In is torn b/w them cause she only has 1 of them on her mind haha. Although I did wish for SI to give JM a chance, I'm quite glad tht she didn't do it & stayed true to her heart & tht there is only place for HW in her heart.... I also liked how JM didn't try and break them up.... he was the gentleman who tried and do everything for her although he knew she will not love him back.... when HW made it clear tht she was his girl & tht HW can take care of her probs, JM took it like a man.... he stepped back but never once did she leave his mind & heart.... I think to him, if he can't be the one to make SI happy, HW is the one guy he can entrust SI to. There was only one time when he kinda exploded & asked her, "Why issit always HW?" He badly wanted her love.... and he did tell HW how lucky he is to have SI.... JM truly deserves love frm us all.... and LJJ did JM's part really well.... B4 I watched, I thought he wasnt tht gd looking & tht I thought I'd dislike him cause he was kinda proud. But I realised he's in fact a very charming guy....

I know smoking's not cool. Believe me, as a former smoker, it is still my biggest weakness. But how come no one objects to the drinking? I mean it's not just drinking, they're doing SHOTS and getting hammered! Who wouldn't get hammered? I wonder what, if any, are the public drunkeness laws. Especially since in all of the K-dramas I've seen, there are those outdoor stands where they purchase those green bottles and get plastered when some one has a rough day. Plus, with the drinking comes the smoking...

Thanks for offering to help out with LJJ's thread. Likewise, I have never seen LJJ before but apparently he has been in the industry for some time now. I think he was in April love too but I'm not sure if I should watch it since I'm a sucker for romance but those with good endings preferably!

It would be terrific and perhaps the birth of the most flawless guy, if there was a crossbreed between KRW and LJJ hehe...it's bizarre how we think alike...I was mesmerised by LJJ's charms first and was rooting for KTH and LJJ although realistically I know KRW was more suitable for KTH.

There was this scene (Warning! Spoilers ahead) when KTH went to LJJ's law firm to ask him to help HW with the case and stop "acting out of character (unethically) just to win this case" as this was not the Jung Min she had known previously. I was hoping that when LJJ asked KTH "What would you do for me if I helped HW" LJJ would make KTH kiss him or something out of the spur of the moment...yes, I was totally fantasising and got carried away with it.

Also here are some questions which I would appreciate some clarification on:

1. In LJJ's practice, KTH said "I liked you before" - does that mean she fancied him first? I rewatched LSIH again and it did seem like they were dating briefly although not seriously committed.

2. After HW rejected KTH by insisting to go separate ways, KTH bumped into LJJ and got drunk and melancholy. When LJJ tucked her into bed, he mentioned that he realised he was always a step behind RW in terms of meeting KTH for the first time and defending her at the disciplinary committee, etc...KTH wasn't actually sleeping was she because she shed a tear after he left...so did he say those things out loud and that's why she cried after hearing them...or LJJ was thinking out loud and she was basically overwhelmed with HW hurtful words?

Yups, I think some fans had uploaded the version aired on Korean TV onto youtube but just take note tht the Korean TV version / official DVD version is slightly different frm the one aired in other countries, apparently, Korea got less scenes. But of course watching it in the original voices is the best! KTH's voice especially hehe.

Wow I think we really do think alike True, Hyunwoo + Jungmin = the perfect guy for Soo In All the characters in this drama have flaws which we could see but we still are able to love them cause it makes them all more real. I know I wouldn't have mind seeing Jungmin with Soo In as well, in fact I do love all their scenes together & I knw I would have loved to see more hehe. But of course one can't ignore the perfect chemistry b/w Kim Taehee & Kim Raewon, Soo In & Hyunwoo complement each other better than Jungmin probably did. And SI & HW complete each other

Haha Jungmin is such a gentleman to Soo In, it'd have been out of character if he had asked her for a kiss if he did for Soo In what she wanted him to. I really like that scene in the last episode when he cried in his office and there she was to comfort him, he really needed tht frm her.


For this, I thought that at first, she wasn't interested in a relationship with any of both guys since she had more on her mind than love, but I do believe she did kinda like Jungmin for a while at first, he gave her a better first impression than Hyunwoo did I believe. I've always felt tht she fell shortly for JM in the beginning (like I would too cause initially I thought HW is annoying), I like the silent mature kinda guy more in real life rather than the chatty ones haha. But then, as JM kept pressurising her and HW got to spend more time with her also (HW is more of an action person), eventually she felt deep for HW I can still remember her smiles to JM when he brought her out to a Spanish restaurant for dinner + how she looked at him when he played basketball as she studied. So, yes, I do believe she did fancy him first but it wasn't for long cause soon after HW took her breath away. Initially she didn't think much of HW but after witnessing him at his mock trial, tht's when I believe things took a turn for the better + HW did more to show tht he liked her. JM was spending time more on his studies and initially didn't really see a point in getting to know his partner better.


KTH wasn't asleep in this scene, she was thinking of HW and tht's probably what made her tear.... I guess after she realised she kinda "made a fool" of herself in front of JM talking abt HW, HW & HW, she couldn't face JM so she kinda pretended to still be asleep. LJJ didn't say those things out loud.... he was just thinking them out loud.... I felt for him so much here, I was like awwww it'd have been nice if she had heard it cause then she would actually know tht he was there too when she had to face the disciplinary committee. It wasn't only HW who was there for her, he too was there. Haha at tht pt, I was actually thinking, if he had said it out loud, maybe he'd stand a chance but then he didn't + even if he had said it out loud, I'm sure Soo In's heart will still stay loyal to HW.... after all, he's stayed in her heart even after they were apart for 3 long yrs.


RBR, you got which version DVD? The Malaysian produced one which has a green cover? I have tht one cause the Making clips have Eng subs too.... I also have the official DVD which is only 16 eps + Bonus clips don't have Eng subs. I've always wondered whether the Singapore produced Innoform DVDs have Eng subs for the BTS clips, so wondering which verison DVD you bought?

Btw I watched the Tagalog dubbed LSIH on Youtube, thx to LSIH fans and well, I dunno, I do feel tht Filipino song is growing on me.... kinda makes some scenes kinda emotional esp more so when they show those parts when KRW looks at KTH and it's in slow motion haha.... but in any case, I'm not Filipino so maybe we feel differently.

Hey there everyone………it’s been a long time and I miss chatting with you guys. I have been so occupied lately that I haven not been able to discuss more about this topic than expected….hope I didn’t miss anything exciting…..well, it’s good to be back and a promised, I would like to share some of my “Love Story in Harvard” favorite scenes/moments with everyone……note that I have seen the entire series, but I am lacking some missing scenes/parts from LSIH, but any way, here are my favorites………

1. Beach Scene – when Hyunwoo and Soo-In were at the beach, playing, running and even got wet from the water, that they ended up in bed together, and I love them holding hands under the sheet…..it was so cute!

2. Airport Scene – when Hyunwoo rushes to the airport to send Soo-In off, I believe he told her that he love her and that he will wait for her return. She nodded her head and left, but before she depart the gate, she had fallen down. (Hyunwoo does not know about this)….and so he left.

3. Bathroom Scene – OMG….the KISS….what a GREAT kiss that was? Everyone is talking about this kiss……what a superb teamwork for both Kim’s……..gotta love this kissing scene and they sure make it REAL and LIVE. Also, I love the bench kissing scene as well……it was HOT.

4. Hospital Scene – when Hyunwoo took on another case, he came to the hospital and saw Soo-In after 3 years, waiting outside….he was so furious and MAD that he slapped her face so hard, and went into the hospital (this must have been hurt).

5. Another Hospital Scene – When they were talking outside the hospital and Soo-In not contacting Hyunwoo for 3 years……how he had missed her, that he has been looking for her, and not knowing her whereabouts….that she could at least call him, so that he could hear her voice….then Hyunwoo also said that in his heart, he still love her and only her, and wanted to know if he was still in her heart…….OMG, this scene made me cry my eyes out…..just the way that Hyunwoo said it really touches me.

6. Hyunwoo’s Place – Soo-In arrived at his place, and he was jumping around with his coat on….Soo-In saw him and just stood there smiling….he finally saw her and took his coat to wrap her in and took her inside….they had dinner and were talking about how good of a cook he was, and Soo-In mentioned that he was also good at another thing….flashback of their bathroom kiss…….awwww, the BEST kissing scene should go to them!!!

7. Motel Scene – when Hyunwoo took Soo-In to the motel…..he was rushing Soo-In by taking his and her coat off, making her feeling uncomfortable, and she even closed her eyes just incase he wanted to kiss her. Instead he stopped and turned on the light and sat down, saying that he had a difficult case, and needed her help. Soo-In accepted by helping him. Later, Soo-In was working on the computer and Hyunwoo touched her face (the side where he had slapped her), and ask if it hurts…..she nodded and said Yes…..the pizza scene was cute too….Hyunwoo took a slice of pizza out and gave it to her, she just look at it without taking if from him, but he ate a small piece to start of, and handed it to her….she just stood there and smile and finally took it from him and ate it….love how Hyunwoo was so caring and gentle to her after this scene.

8. Football Field Scene – Soo-In didn’t know how to hold or throw the football and Hyunwoo showed her how to hold and play……..they were playing and running in the field……awwww…..it was really cute and I can’t get enough of them…….such a lovely couple. Also, I think both are starting to fall in love with each other without saying so……and the part when they came back to the house, when Hyunwoo grabbed the football and was running towards her, he gave her a KISS……right on the lips…..great shot there!

9. Harvard School Scene – when they were both in Hyunwoo’s room studying, Soo-In was so tired that she couldn’t keep her eyes open……he looked at her and just smiles, and that was very cute..…he even got her up to bed…..I think he is really HOT in a white dress shirt.

10. Bus Scene – when Hyunwoo was writing on the bus’s window about his “ANGEL”…..it was so sad that I felt like crying my eyes (I am a tearjerker)…also at the end when he touched her face on the bus window and even gave her a kiss……it was so sweet and beautiful. Also the music played in the background was just perfect for this scene.

11. Soo-In’s Apartment Scene – when Hyunwoo came from work and waited outside her apartment. He missed her so much that he took out the two rings from his pocket and looked at it……then he called her name silently and all of a sudden, he was hurting and shouted her name really loud, and his tears were coming out as well…….all this is due to her 3 years without any calls or contact whatsoever….it was so sad and I was crying with him all the way.

12. Another Harvard Scene – when Hyunwoo gave Soo-In a bike ride to her class, the good memories flash back, they hugged each other and I think Soo-In gave him a hand sign for “LOVE”, and finally both went their separate ways. If I am not mistaken, this scene was after their HOT bathroom kiss. If it is not, please excuse me for my mistake.

13. Another Hospital Scene – when Hyunwoo got hit by a car with Jason’s bad guy driving, he was admitted to the same hospital as Soo-In……they gave both Hyunwoo and Soo-In the same room……they were laughing and even pushes their beds together. Soo-In got out of bed to locked the door and turned off the light…….Hyunwoo was so happy that they were together in the same bed, and he was about to kiss her, but got interrupted by two of his employees……this scene is really cute and sweet for our lovely couple……gosh I love them so much…..such a superb teamwork and awesome chemistry for both.

Well, it’s late and I am really sleepy from typing this long list of favorites……..so far, these are my favorite scenes/moments from LSIH. I will continue to post more after resting this long list………more to come later……….

FYI:
I have the OST soundtrack and I must say that I really, really love it……I can never get tired or bored listening. I even listened to the OST while I am writing my favorites here……is that weird or what? It is so addicting that I can not get enough of it……it’s like day and night.

Hi cherillyn! Hoteggroll, here. Nice to meet you. I couldn't help replying to your questions and observations. I just LOVE this show, too!

At that part when Alex asks Soo-In "What will you do for me?" after he helps Hyun-woo, I thought it was a natural reaction for Alex, but by that point he was being a little pathetic. A shame for someone who in the beginning was confident and ambitious, but after he met Soo-In he just got more and more pathetic. I guess if I had to love Soo-In from a far, I'd be a mess too. I also thought that he would somehow steal a kiss, but I knew Soo-In would not go for that AT ALL, especially if she were there representing her sweetie. That'd be just wrong, and as a viewer, I'd lose respect for KTH for letting Soo-In behave like that . Of course, Soo-In's fictional and KTH is real - I keep forgetting to not take thing's so personally . It's hard for me sometimes to differentiate between Soo-In (a great character) and KTH (a great actress, who gave Soo-In a pulse, consequently making her very REAL). KTH really did a marvelous job creating the Soo-In we all know and love .

When she got drunk, I did feel sad and embarrassed for her. Beautiful writing and directing in this scene. Alex Hong's character came to full fruition when he placed his smaller football next to Hyun-woo's bigger one. FRIGGIN' BRILLIANT!!!!! I thought she was really sleeping when he put her to bed, but woke up later only to miss Hyun-woo in solitude. I believe Hyun-woo was outside in his car - just reaffirms their cosmic connection. Btw, Alex Hong is ultra sexy when he's laying her head down and he's wearing his engagement ring. And he was so crushed when he was giving her a piggy back ride.

I don't think Soo-In "liked" Alex Hong in that way at all. If so, she would have clarified certain hints that Alex gave off in many of their conversations. But then again, she might be comfortable knowing that he really likes her and she can't reciprocate. If that's the case, that's not really nice, Soo-In and KTH . If she did show any interest in him at all, it was when he was playing basketball that one time. I don't think she would have continued to see Alex in Korea (the night she got drunk, the awkward dinner, tea the night before she went to Hyun-woo's) if she was interested in him. In fact, on all of those occasions, it was clearly made known that Hyun-woo and Soo-In were still involved. Maybe she was hoping that Alex would get a clue?

Hoteggroll, I think she did kinda like Jungmin a little bit at first.... but not for long, probably just as a gd fren cause Hyunwoo the goofball got her falling deeply in love with him.... and after tht, nopes she was 100% into him already, she couldn't care less of any other guy, just Hyunwoo all day & night.... her 1st love, her 1st boyfriend & the only man she'd marry & wanna bear kids for.... I think she loves surprises & Hyunwoo gave her loads of it.... when she was at the football field & had no clue how to throw the ball & he suddenly appeared & showed her how to do it.... and then, the touchdown.... and then, the mock trial.... and then her disciplinary committee....

After she & HW got together, Jungmin was just a really good friend to her who happened to always catch her in her "bad" side, like when she's feeeling so down over her man & all tht. Jungmin told her he still couldn't forget her & was usually the one who took the initiative asking her out for meals & stuff.... she probably wouldn't have even contacted him if not for them meeting by chance a couple of times. She'd only look for Hyunwoo even if in secret just to see him, but if she does look for Jungmin at his office, it'd be something to do with Hyunwoo. In short, it's ALL HW on her mind.

Haha you can say, she's hopelessly devoted to Hyunwoo but tht's a good thing hehe. Ahh lucky Soo In, falling in love for the first time and it is forever for both of them!

Remember when she left for her OEP, she mentioned in her letter tht she's not the kind who dreams for a family, for marriage etc, but then later back in Korea, she told him she wanted them to bear a child together.... HW must have been surprised when she said tht, she's kinda hinting she's ready to be with him....

And tht goofball even asked her ALOUD at the foodstall, "So, when are we going to make our baby?"

the ost of LSIH is really the best, I so love it.. especially "So In Love" - it makes me feel bad that gma still think that ogie's song is still the best one for LSIH, no offense to ogie - it is a good song but I don't find it good with LSIH...

i've been watching LSIH on gma since it started airing last monday, it has so many cuts... maybe due to time constraint... I hope KRW and KTH visits us here too...

with regards to LJJ, he's really good looking, and I really like his character in LSIH - JungMin, always there for Soo In - his way of expressing his love for her ... btw, i've seen him in a movie with kwon sang woo, forgot the title, the one with han ka in or han ga in.

again, many thanks to all the vidz, lovely creations and pictures from LSIH ... i really love it. it always remind me how lovely Soo In and Hyun Woo was as a couple back then.. hoping for a new project!

Agree with Syah, that Soo In didn kinda like Jungmin a little at first/or at least her impression of JungMin was good....remenber she brought Jungmin to her father's korean BBQ store. and the father thinks that he is her boyfriend. Although, Jungmin was introduced to her dad as a spanish language tutor...I think she did like him a little then... (esp just watched him play basketball before that...with the very romantic spanish song..the sweet romantic side to Jungmin that she just got to know.. )

I think a girl won't be border to introduce guys to her parents/dad if she is not interested in them. or at least must be a very good friend that worth introducing...
Same goes with Hyun Woo, where she plans to introduce to her dad too... but the 1st meeting didn't turn out
well... Hyun Woo ended up ordering 2sets of BBQ beef...

I had a good laugh with how Soo In dad "examined" JungMin when they 1st met...
I thought JungMin done well infornt of Soo In's dad... at least he tell him the truth that he is interested in his daughter. very confident man.
But too bad...Soo In's dad prefer HyunWoo after meeting both guys.

i think soo in liked alex...but not in a romantic way...maybe an admiration to the "almost perfect" ALEX HONG character...smart, handsome, can shoot the ball 10 out of 10, etc. haha

on the other hand, HW at first seemd like a loser but hey, he can make her laugh, smile, and be her "wild self." the fact that she's riding and throwing herself to hyunwoo in the 1st two epis mean that shes showing interest on him already (i wudnt do that to a man if im not attracted to him. that will make me a fool right? what a waste of time.. hehhe! and what if HW said yes when she asked him to go out with her in the library..big trouble for SI if she didnt like him at all


even in the initial episodes she didint mind being "so close" to him...she'd been showing a NOT SO NORMAL reaction or an "im cool with that" (IF i may quote HW) attitude to him-

normal: sorry wrong room, wont waste anymore second and a girl will storm out of the room and NEVER look back
actual: sorry wrong room, a lil affected when she bumped w/ HW, walked out "gracefully", stopped by the window, winked at him, paused a little before she started marching out of sight... haha

she bumped with HW again...

actual: her expression (like the 1st time) was like as if she's quite affected with the CONTACT (+ the PAUSE) haha

this is the time when i felt that she realized that she missed HW and that she's beginning to like him already. remember before he approached her they're not talking to each other...

Agree, Firewind! I believe that she started falling for HW at the football field, because she even said that he has a talent of making people feel better. She definitely needed some consoling, especially since HW knew Brad. But as far as her introducing Alex to her daddy, I think it was just a matter of convenience. I wasn't convinced that she put him in that situation for the sole purpose of wanting him to be a boyfriend. I thought because her father's scrutiny and the very nature of a boy being around his daughter, her father made it into that kind of situation. It's only natural. Judging by SI's actions about being straight forward about her goals, it didn't seem a big deal to her. It was almost like she wrote Alex off in that way, because he came off a bit too cocky and demanding. She made it that far in life without other people telling her what to do, and because Alex was kinda pushy and somewhat abbrasive, it may have been a turn-off for her. HW was gentle and sincere in her time of need. He was also a total goofball who made her laugh. That's what sealed the deal!

Don't forget how "independent" SI was. Studying at Harvard was difficult enough. Being poor just made it more difficult. But she never complained and took other's generosity when she could get it. She knew what she wanted in life at first. She just didn't plan on falling in love.

But remember she put her arms around HW on the bike ride home before "Touchdown". She initiated what would be the "Bathroom Kiss". She was the first to admit her love to HW. She tried to get HW to sleep with her by telling him "Tell me. I'll let you if I can." Later that day, she told him that she wanted to "make love to him" (spoken like a true twenty-something year old in love). She left him at the beach to pursue an old dream. Point is: She was in more control of this love story than she got credit for. It was her decisions that dictated their love later on. That's why I like her. In most K-dramas and asian movies that I've seen, most women just go along with the male's character, like she was meant to follow him around. If a woman made decisions, she was perceived as the loose or greedy one and made out to be the villain. NOT SOO-IN!!! That's why I respect her.


The best part was the night she was to meet HW at his apartment, but had tea with Alex first. She looked at his ring and he said it was "a shackle of his ambition". She only looked at him and said that it wasn't fair to her or Jina and asked if he was prepared to be responsible for that. What a SMART GIRL!
