syah.....i beg to disagree, there was no hint at all from soo-in that she also liked jungmin, first of all she probably thought he was creepy 'because the 2nd time she ever saw him, he was following her around in the hospital so she tried to brush him off by going to the restroom but jungmin insisted that he's got something to tell her...so in the next scene he asks her already what she thinks of him and he's interested with her, hello!!!! he didn't even really know who she is which probably freaked her out. but i do give him credit since he's also one of the main reasons why hyunwoo and soo-in got together, he helped her in getting her a place to stay after she moved out of her apartment which gave the two a chance to get to know each other better, and he tried to help her w/ her case and always willing to help her even in korea. it's just that, from the very beginning, her love was just meant for hyun-woo, it shows right away when they first met...the look she gave hyunwoo when she was dancing around waiting for her dad outside the motel and when hyunwoo comforted her in the football field...it was the 1st time for them to really "hang-out"' and firewind's explanation really said it all.

Thanks for responding to the questions I had earlier on. I strongly believe that KTH had initially developed some feelings for LJJ but I reckon later on it became clear to her that those feelings were nothing more than gratitude and short of indebtedness. She returns LJJ's kindness by agreeing to attend his mock trial and provide testimony as a medical student but she reciprocates RW's love by complete devotion and I guess from here we could all see that RW is KTH's sole love interest.

In my opinion there were many reasons as to why KTH & RW would actually fall head over heels in love with one another. Put simply in a nutshell, they do complement each other like butter and bread, but I have observed the following:

1. The very first time when they met by accident at the motel, it had probably struck KTH that RW was cute. In return, RW was infatuated with her beauty, sensuality and mischief.

2. Even though there was a mistaken identity for who KTH really was, RW has developed an insatiable interest and curiosity about her. Initially I would presume he was attracted to her physically and intellectually, but I think he also admired her spirits in confronting all hardships (also the reason why LJJ fell for KTH). Despite all the unfortunate events, she still found a reason to care for the sick and this was the turning point for RW when he realised he wasn't infatuated but rather in love with KTH. I reckon this factor hit a home run for RW because his personality is one who likes to defend his country, defend justice and the rights of the minority and knowing that KTH was just as devoted to saving the lives of the unfortunate, he was deeply touched.

3. Likewise for KTH, initially she thought RW joined the Aids Organisation was for the sole purpose of courting her but then she realised he was just as shattered over Brad's passing. To her from the beginning, he came across as an impulsive, immature and indignant guy because of the way he reacts to a situation but at the football field, she certainly saw him in a different light as someone who is able to apprehend her pain and offer comfort. Her turning point was at the mock trial when she saw the reason behind his success was inspired by his desire to pursue justice and to give Susan Williams a fair trial....this was a common trait they both have. I always believe that if your partner mutually shares and supports your dreams, views and beliefs, their relationship can go very far.

4. KTH felt more secured with RW because he is very caring although a little possessive at times. He defended her at her disciplinary committee hearing and also when Jina insulted KTH over dinner. LJJ does that too, but I guess his character allowed him to control his emotions too well. As for KTH, she would stick by her man through good and bad times, even if it means giving up on the relationship if that was the only way RW's father would volunteer to provide RW with financial assistance.

5. I reckon LJJ could never win KTH's affection because he has always used aggression and threats although his intentions were real and genuine. Also, it may have appeared to KTH that LJJ may be overall a decent guy but he always seemed to have motives in achieving something. I strongly agree with Hoteggroll that LJJ became more pathetic as his love for KTH grows but he's definitely not the most pathetic - I actually emphatised more with Jina because she doesn't know how to love LJJ. She tried to keep him as a prized possession but sadly that's not the right way of love.

As Syah4brit pointed out, these characters are not without flaws and that's what makes them so surreal. I can totally relate to the storyline and see them happening in ordinary daily lives so I don't think the script was feeble.

At the beginning, I think Soo In kinda have some interested in both guys.. (can't call it love yet, just good friend )..especially both guys express to her that they are interested/like her.

JungMin, tell her straight that he is interested in going out with her. and as her to be his girlfriend (in the car scene).
Hyun-Woo, (after the 1st meeting with brad), in the small alley, told Soo-In that he might be/is in love with Soo-In.
Hyun-Woo : express it in a more romantic way.... 1 for Hyun-Woo

the night where brad pass away....
Jungmin saw her sitting at the bench alone.. he went over and put his hand round her shoulder...didn't say anything....(just the way she need it at that time...a quiet moment and a shoulder to cry)
HyunWoo, on the other hand...got "play out" in the dinner date before. Wasn’t quiet happy already.. coming back seeing Soo-In allowing Jungmin to put his arm around her…that made him blow his top…(although, not really his fault that he is so angry but….) that’s not what Soo-In need at the moment.
JungMin : Sensitive to Soo-In feeling and situation.... 1 for JungMin

The mock Trial:
JungMin get Soo-in to be his witness. Can see HyunWoo’s look on his face when he 1st realized that JungMin’s witness was actually Soo-In. (if you guys get to see the scene again) HyunWoo was totally shock, and felt betray. But Hyun Woo managed turn the table around…HyunWoo was so hot when he won the trial. The confident look..that I believe Soo-In saw it for the 1st time.  and just like cherillyn had mentioned it’s the personality of Hyun Woo (defend justice and the rights of the minority) that attracts Soo-In.
Hyun-Woo : can be smart and confident too.... 1 for Hyun-Woo

the walk back to hostel after the celebration:
HW and SI had a walk after they’d left the bar.
S: I am a poor medical school student.
H: I am a foreign law school student who can't speak English.
S: But I still have confidence.
H: Me too!
S: And I am thankful.
H: ... for all the happiness in my life
S: I can pay my tuition by working at a bar as well as the dormitory.

Whoever lost in the match will have to give up Soo-In. In the beginning, Hyun Woo is definitely not winning..(no sign of winning). Can see the worrying face on Soo-In. But at the same time, SooIn saw HyunWoo fighting spirit too. I think Soo-In will still fall for Hyun Woo even he lost this match…
Hyun-Woo : fight for what he believes in even it is difficult (esp. he had lost the last match).... 1 for Hyun-Woo

and it was the next morning that Soo-In decided that Hyun-Woo is the man that she really love, when she initiate the kiss, that leads to our favorite bathroom kiss..


so even Soo In had some feelings for Jungmin in the beginning. very soon it's Hyun Woo that occupied her heart ompletely.

cherillyn, you speak of Jina. There were some parts where I knew I should have felt sorry for her, but I didn't. She must epitomize what some people view a successful business woman in America is like. She sure was arrogant. But like Alex, that's what later bit her on the butt.

I did feel very embarassed when she did that "sexy dance" at the nightclub . I watched that with one eye open and clenched teeth. That came across to me as kinda skanky . I could come up with better ways to seduce Alex . But HEY! He didn't seem to mind (typical guy) . I would have at least picked a "nastier" song.

Jina may have been confident, but she followed Alex way too much (even if they were engaged). She knew it was Soo-In that he kept hoping to see, and she was totally helpless. I love the expression on Soo-In's face when she was stopped by Jina at the elevator. I just wish that Jina would try to slap her, because Jina... would be DEAD! Soo-In definitely gave her that "Eat sh*t and Die!" glare, which is ironically very cute . I love it!

haha all HW needed was a lil encouragement/'charm at work" and soo-in will finish the story for them and as iv always said THIS WAS THE ONLY SERIES W/ KRW as leading man where you'll see HIS LEADING LADY commanding EQUAL INTEREST from the audience... usually HE's always a STANDOUT character...but for the 1st time, in a type of series dominated by men, KTH as Soo in put up a great show matching KRW's "adrenaline"



haha! she's doing the NORMAL thing with alex but quite frankly, she looked like a teenager having crush on a campus figure like alex when she was watching him playing basketball for the 1st time...though i think it was the "START and END" of it all...she cant possibly feel more than that








conclusion: there is nothing to dislike actually with alex..its just that THERES A LOT OF THINGS YOU'LL LOVE about HYUNWOOS charcter...

Dear ladies/Harvarders, I must really thank cherillyn first of all for the questions cause it made us all start analysing the drama again and I am so enjoying it, we are active again like as if Love Story In Harvard is still airing or just finished airing in Korea for the first time To think that it's already nearly 2 years since LSIH aired.... such an old drama but the mark that it leaves in your heart just can't be removed that easily....

I love reading each and every of your views cause everyone has their own ways to express their thoughts and how they feel about certain things in the drama. With regards to Soo In bringing the guys to her father's stall, actually for me, I don't think she ever had the intention of asking them there to introduce them to her father. To her, it's just nothing, it's just for a meal and I guess for her, she enjoys the food there more than those expensive restaurants (eg Spanish restaurant that JM brought her to, talking abt tht scene, there's a longer version which you don't see in the 16 ep version, and SI's smile to JM there was just , but when she said to him having dinner dates with him will take up her sleeping time, it's quite an indication tht she is not looking for a relationship). Like hoteggroll, I like Soo In's father, he has got good judgement and he knows which guy is best for his daughter. I like the "tests" he puts Hyunwoo through when he got to know HW is his daughter's boyfriend.

For Hyunwoo, he fell in love with her at first sight.... but for Soo In, I believe that wasn't the case, but she did find him interesting, I suspect he's the first Korean guy around her age whom she met since she started schooling at Harvard, and probably as she said, the dumbest law student she has ever met it was fun playing along with him, she probably hasn't had any close contact with a guy until HW came along and he was quite a busybody who asked her too many questions haha, but as a girl, if a guy starts doing tht a lot to you, you'd feel like he is interested in you.... but still I believe the turning point came at the football field, tht is when she realises she is falling in love with him, she never expects a sorry frm him for tht night he barges into her room scolding her for standing him up.... she looked somewhat relieved and pleased to see him when he shouted out "Tht's not how you do it" when he arrived at the football field, it's like she needs someone to comfort her then.... and just then, her prayers were answered & someone came along.... tht's a sign. But still, we can see tht she didn't wanna commit to anything. But on tht same day, her relationship with JM took a turn for the worse when JM threw the basketball at her. The next day, she flared up at him at the stairs. She wasn't happy why both JM & HW are giving her pressure etc.... and I like the part when she went down the stairs, took his ball and threw it back at him

JM first expressed his interest in her in the car, but later on, she saw Jina holding JM's hands as they went down the stairs at her office.... SI's look was of the kind tht says JM wasn't serious abt wat he said to her earlier. And then later on also HW told her he's starting to like her.... but she saw him playing on the bed with Seulgi.... SI had tht look again which says HW wasn't serious abt wat he said too. And when HW came out to look at her in the kitchen, it's hilarious when she started chopping the onion louder.... she wasn't too impressed with what she had seen definitely.


Fully agreed! Most pple only give credit to Hyunwoo with regards to their love but for me, Soo In played a huge part in how their love story went. Frm the 1st episode, I already thought SI was one really cool and admirable lady and I could see she was different frm the weak female characters who needs a man beside her to go on.... Soo In wasn't like tht. True, she needed love and protection frm him.... but he needed the same love frm her too hehe and in most cases, we can see who's the more emotional one in the relationship.... HW uses his heart alot, tht explains how he can get carried away sometimes, slapping her, getting into fights etc.... but beside the emotional, temperamental HW, there's the calm, cool SI who uses her mind more and is more rational in a way, and maybe sometimes, she seems to have a colder heart, but we knw tht's not the case, she has lotsa feelings too inside, but outside she's one tough lady.


I like how you used their real names, KTH & KRW instead of SI & HW cause it keeps my dream more alive!!!!!!
In real life I am still holding on to the believe tht one day KTH & RW would fall head over heals with one another cause in real life, I believe like SI & HW, they too complement each other like bread & butter Ok, don't mind me, I'm a crazy dreamer...... JM said he liked her but he didn't show it enough and he expected her to be with him tht way....
as for HW, he said it + he showed it. Tht's the diff b/w both guys and tht was how HW got her devotion.

does anyone of you think that HyunWo's classmate, Rudy, had a crush on him???
there was a few scene that makes me think that...
-she spend the most time with him alone when preparing the mock trial (like going to visit Mrs William)
-she was the one that found out Mrs williams' address. and Hyun Woo gave her a kiss on the cheek. (i think that's when she starts to act funny towards HW & SI ??!! )
-she got angry with Soo-In, when Soo-In overslept the next morning after the mock Trial, where Hyun Woo helped to prepare the breakfast. Jealous that Hyun Woo is doing it for her...?? (here no scene of her getting upset when JungMin prepare breakfast with Soo-In.)
-Trying to be difficult to Soo-In by throwing her bedsheet at Soo-In. shouting the she can't stand dirty bedsheet. infront of HW and SI's dad (that was after Soo-In start dating Hyun Woo)
-there was a scene where she put her head on Hyun Woo's shoulder, while HW was reading his book...and i think she was on the phone or something... (if i remenber it corretly, this scene comes after Soo-In had left Harvard..) was she trying to charm HW??

I'm truly glad that all of you could openly embrace my views and opinions and it's a great pleasure to be able to contribute to these discussions as LSIH was indeed a brilliant drama.

Hoteggroll - I am totally with you when you mentioned how Jina's character should not be pitied on. She appeared as someone who was extremely arrogant and given her prestigious status & background, she reckons she could have any men she wanted or ditch them if she was through with them. But LJJ soon changed her because she probably had never met a more determine man than LJJ when it comes to love and career. She was taken aback when LJJ rejected her in spite of her shameless attempts of seducing him because I think in the past men were just to easy to get, but she prefers the cat and mouse game. It was probably lust at first but in the end she fell hard for LJJ but sadly that was destined to be a one-sided love affair from the start. You could see how she would do anything (and I mean everything) just to keep LJJ, including proposing to him and threathening KTH to leave LJJ alone. If a woman could go as low as that, it makes her look desperate and I think that was a huge turn off for LJJ, given that he likes strong personalities like KTH. If only Jina started out by playing hard to get as I would have in her shoes (because I think that is more attractive than throwing yourself at a man/stranger) and if she hadn't been so clingy, maybe their ending would be different.

Then again, even if she was independent of LJJ's shadow, I believe LJJ still wouldn't be drawn to her because no matter how calculative LJJ gets, he's still not as sly, cunning and conniving as Jina and his colleagues because he despises lawyers who use dirty tricks to win a case as this was what drove his father to suicide. If you remember well, there was a scene (I think it was some time after RW and KTH's wedding and when LJJ and RW were friends) where LJJ told KRW that he would like to play it fair. Not that LJJ is the most noble person but if it wasn't for Jason's threat and KTh's illness, he wouldn't have acted so unscrupulously. It's tragic love for both Jina and LJJ as they have been pining for someone whom they can't have. I remember when Jina met LJJ for the last time over drinks and she said to him that she had always been the star in whatever she did, but she had been put on the sidelines since she met him and she asked LJJ if he knows how that made her feel. I think I shed a tear when LJJ said he knows that all too well because he's also only a spectator in RW and KTH's relationship. I really do love the way he cared for KTH, always looking out for her.

I adore KTH and her character as Su Inn. I marvel at her strong will and determination and I agree she played the more dominant role in both her relationships with RW and LJJ. As much as it pains me knowing that her silent departure to South Africa would devastate RW, I also understand how she could not just give up her dreams. The only thing I couldn't agree with Su In in this incident is, she could have made it less painful by telling RW her intentions and if he truly loved her like he acclaims, he would wait for her. Nevertheless, I fully support her decision to leave RW when she fell ill because she needed to go through her chemotheraphy and she didn't want RW to see her in so much pain when he already has so much on his plate to deal with.

Su In's father was awesome...reminded me of how much agony I put my dad through when I brought my dates home to meet him and it was really funny how Su In's dad scrutinises LJJ and how LJJ reacted towards Su In dad's cynicism. I also love the part when KTH was at the farm with her dad and she told him that she had broken off with RW - you could just tell how fatherly he was because at first he had to agree with KTH that RW was immature and his family was condescending just because he wanted to give KTH the moral support for her decision to break up but then he soon pointed out that she could have made a huge mistake because it's rare to find a guy who could accept an imperfect girl like KTH. I mean it takes a lot for a parent to put his own child down to make her see right from wrong if you get what I mean. I also love the bit when he expressed concern to how RW was going to live on if KTH didn't survive because he himself had a hard time dealing with his wife's passing. This proves how much he loves RW as a son-in-law to be.

My personal favourite would be the beach scene when RW spoke of wanting live under the impression that they are constantly in rain under an umbrealla with her holding on to him for shelter and how he teased her about being a cheap skate and buying a small bed without turning on the heater. That was offensive but romantic!

My personal tragic scene would be when RW and KTH were cooking in the kitchen after they got married and he asked how many more times would KTH cook stew kimchi and boil soy bean soup for him. That got me weeping uncontrollably.

I feel I have learnt a lot from each character in this drama but the most important lesson is to appreciate the people whom you love and those who care about you and count your blessings.

I have enjoyed contributing to this forum so much mainly because of you all and I hope going forward we are able to cross paths again in other forums if we watched the same series.

my personal favorite:

epi-10 the motel scene...AN "ITS ALL COMING BACK" episode after that painful separation...when he pushed her against the wall (i was like WHOA, hyunwoo what are u trying to do?), when she closed her eyes (oh my Su-in...dont do that..ok do that haha), he withdrew and told her HELP ME (i felt HWs sweet surrender). and again that OK sign...

He asked her if the slap hurt, she paused for a while and said "u did my heart" and a tear flows from her face (i can feel the same pain as that of HW, i cried first before su-in hahaha)...and theres the "DOMINO pizza Effect"... LOL Finally, i saw them both smiling while looking at each other...i felt their happiness...its like as if i saw LIGHT after going through that long dark tunnel...i was rewarded...

then oh my, that simple "TIE" really made me smile bigger...i find it sweet. and HWs "feeling husband" attitude before he went to work that day cracked me up...CANT DESCRIBE HOW HAPPY I AM watching the "motel scene"...bittersweet but a rewarding experience...

but i DONT discount the effect of th following scenes- THE TOUCHDOWNS, THE INVISIBLE UMBRELLA, THE KIMCHI SOUP CONVERSATION, THE "YOU'LL BECOME A SUCCESFUL DOCTOR/LAWYER" EXCHANGE, AND ALL HOSPITAL SCENES are the best IV SEEN in a number of love stories i HEARD AND WATCHED...

aside from the small football next to hyunwoo's scene, i just realized that the scene after HW stood up for himself against prof. keynes and went to the bar where soo-in works trying to go out w/ her after he promised to give her a 'bonus' after she tutored him only to find out that jungmin beat him and have a date w/ soo-in.....when they held on to soo-in's arm, jungmin first let go of soo-in while hw is still holding on, soo-in's the one who took his hand off...to me, that just defined their love story, jungmin letting go first can be interpreted as giving up his chance unlike hw trying to hang on to his love for soo-in and they did prove that they really belong together for the rest of their lives

Haha my brother had felt tht way before and he asked me the same, but I don't think so....
tht woman is just very PMS-sy. She flared up tht morning HW prepared breakfast cause SI woke up really late.... SI as at fault here haha, she had a late night and when she awoke, the name HW can be seen scribbled all over her paper If any case, i'd just think at that time, she is deprived of a love life.... so tht kinda affected her somehow hehe.... great to see somehow later she & John Ford are together... remember they were making out when HW & the rest were studying together at the bench.


I supported her here too although I felt HW's pain.... it was like a double blow for him after firstly, he kinda is in trouble, facing accusations of bribing a witness, then she rejects him. Here, SI thought he won the case, so she didn't want to add any obstacle to his life.... but I believe she thought of it as a temporary measure only.... I think she did say when she's better, she'll be back.... I think she just is afraid of what if tht doesn't happen, cause if she dies, she doesn't want HW to go thru tht pain & also see her in pain.... so she rather have a break-up with him. When she found out frm JM tht HW is in trouble, immediately she went all the way to try & help HW in whatever way she cans, even if in secret. But I'm so glad fate brought them together on the same street later on. And HW convinced her tht the only way they can get thru all the challenges in their life is by doing it together.

I think it's amusing how LSIH was originally intended for a Korean audience. When they showed college life in America, did you notice how many times there were people making out on campus? I was even surprised that they showed her roommate and boyfriend in bed (we Americans are such horny toads!). Poor Soo-In! That sucks when you can't go into your home after a long day. If Thomas was her roommate's fiance and was going to move in, as a doctor, couldn't he afford to get his own place?

Good morning... I have a message for you at KIM RAE WON thread.
I have read all your views and I agree with you 100%. I already bought DVD and I'm already
in Episode 13. Actually it is being aired at GMA7 Phils. since Aug.14,2006. Since the time slot
is the same, I slightly watched it because of MY GIRL which is in another TV station. I watched it
only during commercial break of MY GIRL. Nevertheless, I started to like the story so I decided to
buy DVD which currently I am already in Episode 13.

Oh my God, what a story. I can truly affirmed that this is one of the BEST KOREAN series that
I have seen. I can feel the emotions of both SOO IN and HYUN WO. I can't hold my tears.

I remember when I watched STAIRWAY to HEAVEN. I cried a lot and I don't have any consolation
in this story because it's a sad ending.

Can you give me feed back if what is the rating of this series in KOREA.

alo jilmie! i think ur a kapamilya! LOL i gather the timeslot of LSIH wasnt the same as MY GIRL but A LOVe TO KILL! it airs very late in the evening (10:20 or 10:30 in the evening)...so u can catch it if u want to...haha


i think the ratings just fair in Korea though not as big as JITP or MNIKSS...

Actually, when I saw this scene, my thought was that JungMin is more "GENTLEMAN", as in he didn't want to put SooIn in a difficult situation, (Imagine 2 guys doing a tag-of-war with you as the rope!!) and this is in the pub, where SooIn works!!!
Also, I think HyunWoo was inconsiderate here. Hey!! people already said they had an appointment!! and the appointment was made much earlier... then let go Lah!!!

But it's definitely interesting to see your analysis / conclusion on their love for each other. And I love it.

here's what i think of the smaller football ....
HW football was bigger = HW's love for SI was so much more and deeper, as compare to JungMin.
HW football was bigger = HW had done so much for/with SooIn. and they had so many memories with eachother as compare to JungMin.
HW football was the real thing not a prop or toy = HW's love for SI was real.

when JungMin saw his football next to HW's, he must know much he's worth in SooIn's heart.
(really pity JungMin here..... )

the TUG OF WAR SCENE...find it interesting too..


its the FIRST TIME HYUNWOO expressed how he intends to LOVE SOO-IN, IMO...made me think that even from THE BEGINNING HE "never let go of HER hand..." wel..unless Soo-in will force him to do so...

Its not proper for HW to do that but I find it sweet rather than inconsiderate. haha! its like saying COME WITH ME INSTEAD because I CAN GIVE U MORE LOVE THAN what this Alex guy can offer...

There were also 2 scenes where I noticed Soo In gave 2 rather unhappy looks & stares at both guys.

For Hyunwoo, it's when he pinched her butt, she looked so shocked & unhappy (obviously cause she got molested here) and I'm glad she fought him back with words. Wow, a upcoming lawyer lost to a medical student when they used "words" to fight.

For Jungmin, it's when in the car after he brought her out to dinner and sent her back.... just before she got out of the car, he held her hand.... she had tht shocked look again but she didn't remove her hand immediately though.

But in any case, with HW she is more herself..... with JM, she seems to restrain & doesn't go all the way.... so to cut it short, HW makes her feel more comfy and at ease.

Btw here are the ratings in Korea. Actually Hoteggroll, though this is a Korean drama, it was made to target overseas viewers esp Japan etc.... in Korea, pple label such dramas as "trendy dramas" with eye candy cast.... most of these kinda dramas targetting overseas more than domestic don't seem to do very well domestically.... it doesn't help tht the majority of TV watchers in Korea are the older auntie crowd, youngsters in Korea (around KRW's-KTH's age) don't seem to watch local channels much in Korea, they turn more to the internet or cable channels.

firewind, hahaha I’m glad the ratings are really high, I see to it that I always watch LSIH every night, I’m always happy when I see our Hyun Woo and Soo In…. and I also like the motel scene, where he suddenly asked Soo In if her face hurts (due to the slap) ... gosh!
And if I may add, I also like the scenes where they keep telling each other that they are both willing to do anything for each other, 1 scene was when Hyun Woo looked for Soo In at the hosp to confront her why she had to meet his father, and how long will Soo In test his love for her, then Soo In told him that if for him, she’s willing to do anything. Oh my, I’m so addicted to LSIH, I miss them during the weekends, good thing we got our copies… hope GMA can invite them over here

I cried when Hyun Woo introduced Soo In to his father at their house, Soo In went down on her knees and asked for his permission, beg for forgiveness as well cause Hyun Woo’s dad took her word that she won’t meet Hyun Woo anymore, but true love will really conquer all. Soo In said “leaving Hyun Woo is more painful than death”

I really miss them, so much... I'd love to see them together again, can't wait till tonight

Hi.. I already voted for her. She is the highest. She is already one of my favorite acctress after I watching LSIH. Don't you know that I hated her in STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN. But changed when I watched her in Forbidden Love. Since I don't like anymore a sad ending story even if I admire JO HYEON JAE I stop watching it. She made me cry a lot in LSIH. I have finished watching my DVD. I have to wait again this evening to watch LSIH in GMA7.

It's my pleasure. They are my favorite onscreen couple (together with Cyon couple Kim Taehee & Won Bin), so I'd try and share all tht I can.... I'm sure there's more to share haha just tht I haven't done my housekeeping of files.

Anyway, I like it right after SI & HW met again in the middle of the street and they hugged and HW said tht he may have to go to jail soon & tht she may die soon but let's go through it together (or something, can't remember), and then he asked her to marry him and she agreed.... after all that, her attitude towards her sickness changed also! She wanted so much to live on and was more positive abt it in front of him.... she even told HW's father when she knelt down tht she will live on to repay his kindness or something (?).... very sorry I can't remember the exact stuff she said.... I'll really have to watch this again....

Found something quite interested when I was re-watching Ep6 & 7 over the weekend.

patient walking on the pavement??
I found one man walking on the pavement, that looks like the man that SooIn had treated in the pub!! (if anyone can watch it on a big screen, will like to know if that is really the patient!! HAHAHa….)

Ep6: the scene where HW send SI to the hospital just before their date to have dinner with SI’s dad. Where HW asked what should he get for her dad. After the conversation, HW went away skipping and jumping…there comes the big fat man that looks like the patient. (The man is wearing a dark maroon shirt with a white jacket)

Ep7: And the same man appear waking in the across the screen, wearing the same clothing but this time with sunglasses on, on the scene where SooIn’s dad went to hospital to look for her.. just to realized that she had been suspended from Med school.

Ep : There was this scene where SooIn was packing up her books, before the meeting with the discipline committee. Among the books she was packing away. There was this interesting “the year’s best science fictions!! (the cover page have some spaceship thingy too.) didn't know that SI like science fictions.

hahaha, i can't help but reply on this syah...i actually saw that the very first time i saw this drama, i even mention it to hotegroll, i know that book very well since i read that and 'what to expect the first year'. that is a free book they give pregnant women in US when they go for their early check-ups, maybe HW knows that in the end him and soo-in will have triplets so he studied way early...but he definitely didn't need that in law school.

Yeah, Soo-In. I didn't think that it would help the situation by making a deal with his dad. How many times do you have to break his heart?

Let's see:

1. She said she was going to the OEP at the beach.
2. She left him at the beach after they took their relationship further. I think later he took it well, because if some guy left me stranded in a foreign country WITHOUT a ride, he'd get more than just a slap.
3. The fight after the awkward dinner where she says that she doesn't love him.
4. Leaving to go to Somalia.
5. Being hospitalized after their goodbye's at the airport.
6. Making a deal with his dad to help him financially.
7. Not answering his proposal at the hospital and returning the necklace and ring.

Ahh tht rich girl, Kim Min, immigrated to USA and studied over there since young in real life so it makes sense why her english is fluent compared to the rest who studied in Korea only

Btw I agree with some of you that this drama gets better with each round of viewing!

There's always something new tht you discover when you watch it again. It always seems fresh when I watch it, like I'm watching it for the first time each time.

At first, I didn't expect to get addicted to this. I downloaded eps of this drama and as I watch each ep, I deleted it off my comp. But as I get to the later parts, I kinda regret deleting the front parts.... thts when I knw I'm loving this drama so much. Besides, I was getting more & more interested in KTH as I watch this.... and so even though I sort of found her interesting & special since STH (the loveable brat ), I didn't like say out or thought tht I'm becoming such a fan.... but while watching Forbidden Love & LSIH, it dawned upon me tht I am addicted to her and also LSIH.

Hi RBR, I checked it out for you. I didn't see him walking on the pavement when Soo-In was sitting outside of the hospital. That was a woman with a white dress coat. Hopefully we're talking about the same scene. That's when HW was looking all over for SI and her found her sitting on a bench in front of the hospital entrance.

The other scene was when HW was skipping on the sidewalk... Man! I couldn't tell. That guy was wearing a maroon shirt and a lab coat. It sure LOOKED like him, but it was only for a nano-second. When I'd pause it the screen would get pixel-ly. It was hard to make out.

was trying to find the scene you mentioned...but...after the first beach scene...theres no scenes of HW sleeping or waking up??
you meant the one HW got drunk when drinking with SooIn's dad??

Nope. It's the scene where HW is in the hospital, because he wanted to speak to the patient and/or his family. He falls asleep outside of the patient's room. When he wakes up, the patient walks out... maybe it was before the beach scene? But then why would the patient "walk" out then? He had not woken (or waked)... remember the first beach scene? HW said that he (the patient) must have known how desperate she was, because he woke up (that may be gramatically incorrect... sorry). That's why I think it's after the (first) beach scene.

hoteggroll, i think tht after HW saw tht patient walk out, HW followed him to the rooftop where he tried to kill himself but HW stopped him. But this rooftop part was only shown in the previews in the 16 ep version but they didn't show it..... in 18 ep version instead, it was SI who talked to the patient
