There is a thread in ABS CBN Asianovela forum - Phils) regarding comparing MY GIRL and Love Story in Harvard. I supposed a lot of member is loyal to ABS CBN but I' ve been recommending to everyone to watch this series although this is being aired in the other TV station which is GMA7. There is also a thread MY GIRL which I also recommend LSIH after it ends. I'm happy that a certain Julian_Jasmine confirm that he also like LSIH.

hi jilmine! i admit i'm an avid abs-cbn follower but in terms of korean series, i don't care which station it will be in as long as i know it'll be good! besides, each station don't really own the series, they only bought the rights so that it will be aired here in the philippines...so it has no difference...

Ohh yea tht slap was painful.... he used all his might I'm sure cause he was so into Hyunwoo mode + KTH didn't feel the pain when she did tht scene cause she was so into Soo In mode and she understood why HW slapped her. But after they did tht scene, there was an interview with KTH where she mentioned tht during the filming, she didn't feel the pain but during the interview, she's starting to feel it haha. I think they did a few takes for tht scene and she got slapped at least 3 times as seen in the Behind The Scenes clip. The story can only get better + their chemistry got better and their love went up another level later

I don't know whether you've watched the motel scene but when HW touched her face where he had slapped and asked her whether it hurts, tht scene was really sad

Btw RBR, tht scene isn't in 16 ep version too, it was just shown as preview. I think they filmed tht scene b/w HW & patient but then before it aired in the next week, they changed the story and decided not to have tht in. Tht's how Korean dramas work.... they film as they are showing so some things you see in the preview, you may never see it in the drama as they can change any time sometimes based on the viewers' feedbacks in the official forums. One gd thing tht came out of it is the change of ending to LSIH. When it was leaked out tht LSIH will end on a bad note, fans protested and they had the ending changed to a good one

I can't remember what's the diff b/w 16 ep & 18 ep version but just tht 18 ep version is much better in the sense tht it flows better. Some pple had wondered how come the patient's family dropped charges against Harvard Medical School, but in 18 ep version, we can see tht it must be cause of SI's conversation with the patient which did help. And some who saw the official Korean version were asking what happened to Seulgi, how did she just disappear frm HW's life?... At least in 18 ep version, we got a scene which showed HW telling her tht he has always seen her just as a sister and tht he loves SI. In 16 ep version there's also a preview which showed SI wearing a different bridal gown and different hairstyle frm the actual wedding we saw. Don't knw how come they didn't go ahead with tht one and changed to the one we saw in both versions. Those scenes tht they have in 16ep version but missing in 18 ep version are considered minor to me as compared to the scenes we have in 18 ep version but missing in 16 ep version. But.... if you wanna check out 16 ep version, there's always youtube hehe.... some kind pple uploaded the drama there as aired in SBS channel Korea.

But there's one cute lingerie shop scene in 16 ep version tht's not in 18 ep version. It's after HW brought SI to try her wedding dress. HW brought her to the shop to get some sexy lingerie hahaha and he held one pair of bra but I think she said she doesn't need one cause she's sexy enough or something.... then after tht, it's the donut shop scene when he wiped her mouth and vice versa.

Though we didn't get tht scene in 18 ep version, we got another scene outside a lingerie shop when HW brought her out of hospital.... tht scene is short but funny HW's so goofy!

And oh ya, in 18 eps version, bench kissing scene is also longer than in 16 ep version!

Oh yes i love the motel scene...(actually it was my favourite scene,love it more then the bus scene) it was the turning point of the whole love relationship....before that...we see that they both love each other...but just don't want to give in and tell each other how much they wanted to be together...

finially HW, can't take it anymore...he drag SooIn down from the bus and drive her all the way to the motel...my heart was bitting fast when I saw where HW brought SooIn to....in his heart he wanted so much to be with her, to hold her in his arms again. just like the night before SooIn left him....he must be thinking of that the whole way when he was driving...haha....that's way he ended up driving to a motel!!!

in the motel room,..after taking off a few layers of his and SooIn's jackets...he suddenly come to sence that that's not what he should be doing to someone he love so much.. and decided to change the topic...and ended up asking her to help him with his case.
(I think that might be the reason why HW when to look for SooIn in the 1st place, to ask her for help...but after seeing her..his emotion take over..instead of asking her to help..he drag her down the bus and to a motel.
Aww... the emotional HyunWoo...)

While discussing/studying the case, can see that HyunWoo's mind is thinking SooIn...(reminded me of the time they have in Harvard when HyunWoo hired SooIn to be his tutor)...when SooIn was trying to explain the medical parts to HyunWoo, he just can't take his eyes of her....wonder if he is listening or not!!

yeah, well i'm sure even though there are only a few of us who looks at things that way, it's still good because we know that each series have different stories to follow on!

lol, yeah, LSIH is also my medicine since MG has already finished. anyway, i've been watching LSIH in advanced but i still watch the tagalog version on GMA-7 because tagalog is more beautiful than the subtitles!...lol!...

You have explained the whole scene all well + it's the same as how I see it. I love alot of scenes, there's just no favorite scenes for me hehehe. At tht time I'm sure SI would love to tell HW she wants to be with him again so much but because she's one strong and disciplined lady, she knows she's gonna have to leave again soon, she held back.... but of course this gave Hyunwoo the chance to take the initiative and chase after tht bus, drag her down the bus and later stopped the car and held her hand as she wanted to get out while he said, "I'm going crazy because of you!"

Btw yes, in the relationship, I have to say Hyunwoo is the more emotional one She can keep cool better. So, it's good in a sense that when he's on fire over something (hot tempered), she can cool him down

Love the ending, I wish we could have gotten more hahaha, a sorta extension of the drama's ending But I love the narration by Soo In, many may say Hyunwoo's the main character but I felt SI played a huge role in his life and thus, the ending narration by her says it all for me.... they both share major credits in the drama

teenah, I really love the brushing teeth scene, she looks super adorable with her twinkling eyes as she brushes with tht huge smile of hers.... LSIH is a recommendable korean drama, i watched it for two days on dvd and my eyes keeps on crying... you will not stop it when you start watching it... the tagalog soundtrack by the way is sung by regine velasquez and ogie alcasid. i think its on the new cd of ogie. i had already the korean ost for this drama. i got it from this site: http://forum.webgaul.com/archive/topic/5782-1.html. Also kim tae hee is so beautiful in this series and kim rae won is a good here too. so better catch this drama real soon!

as for regine and ogie's song, yeah i admit it's good because of course, ogie made the song, but i agree, it doesn't really fit the series at all, and i noticed that GMA has very bad dubbing...lol, i'm not complaining, i just noticed it...hehehe...

I am like your mother.... I love Soo In and Hyunwoo together but individually I love Alex Hong Jungmin!!!! And of course KTH's Soo In. Btw I just read an old interview of KTH and she mentioned tht KRW really doesn't like Soo In's character! KTH says KRW seems to like obedient and submissive women. Well, SI is definitely more strong minded than tht and tht doesn't impress KRW too much



Hahaha when I watched the Behind The Scenes for this scene, I was like feeling the pain for KTH, she was abt to get up then he comes to flung her again hahaha but tht girl doesn't seem to be in pain at all She can even laugh with KRW while watching themselves acting tht scene on the monitor!!

Then I remember I just read an old article abt KTH which mentioned tht as a child, KTH never teared/cried. So she's probably really a strong girl indeed but she brought out Soo In's emotions so well I felt.

Yups... Soo In said to Hyunwoo tht he has this talent to make pple feel better but she herself can brighten up his life always.... of course, her smiles light up his life.... can see tht when she left him, at nights, he was suffering by himself & in the day, he keeps himself busy. Her presence definitely brought all his goofy self back into his life....

Haha ya I think KTH really put herself deep into the Lee Soo In role.... same goes for KRW, LJJ and the rest too! Tht's why KTH & KRW can be so at ease together.... cause during the few mths they filmed together, they both were in SI & HW lovers mode


Erm, I dunno.... my guess is if they did have some interest in each other back then, it's the timing which was a factor She was attached. And 7 mths later when they met again, she just broke up & still nursing a broken heart. So, timing plays a part I feel. And they both are also very focused on work.... no time for relationships I guess. Now KRW is busy filming his movie, once he finishes, KTH will be preparing herself for her movie promos. And once she's done, he'll be busy with his drama, and then once he's done, she'll probably be busy and then soon he'll be off to army for 2 yrs!

But I guess like wat u said, I think their personalities clash, something I thought of months ago when I took time to analyse & observe them hahaha. KTH likes humorous and loving guys + guys who can make her feel safe & I believe she said she likes guys like Hyunwoo. And it was reported somewhere during their Taiwan trip tht KTH jokingly said if KRW's like HW, she'd consider haha. But maybe he's not cause HW likes SI but KRW doesn't seem to like SI's character. And SI is KTH's favorite role thus far. She enjoyed playing SI.

They can start off as goood friends at least but they don't look like it although KRW said tht they are good frens. They can't even look at each other for long during their Taiwan trip Maybe part of it is cause if they look at each other, they might fall in love really deep & tht's not their priority right now since they're busy people I'm such a DREAMER............... Haha kinda a pity tht won't happen though esp after alot of criticisms on their English. If I recall right, the original plan was to not come back to Korea and have the whole drama in america.... but cause they underestimated the budget + the actors are having a hard time with alot of the English terms, in the end, they had to continue the drama in Korea only.... probably bad planning I guess. So then many viewers complain why it's called LSIH since it's not all in Usa. But it was supposed to be 3 mths of filming over there....

well hyun woo's dubber is good but i don't like the dubber of soo in (allison). i mean it doesn't fir her well and it's so obvious that it's being dubbed...seem like she's dubbed from another place!...

as for the kapamilya series, i only watched MG and a few of LIP...so i cant make a gud observation...not because im kapuso but because i find their IMPORTED KOREAN SERIES more interesting to watch like JITP (this is where i started to like korean series) and now LSIH. sorry but the kapamilya/kapuso thingy sucks! haha! i refuse to limit myself into that cheap thinking...plus find ABC 5 shows interesting too..


nway, GUD TO SEE THAT PINOYs know what to watch and not...thought period series like JITP wudnt make it but i was proven wrong. maybe DUBBING/SONGS is not really the formula to get viewers and make ME watch it... but...

I think for Love Story In Harvard, 6 and a half episodes out of 16 eps in Korea is kinda good already if you compare to Lovers In Paris or Lovers In Prague. I think after at most 4 eps overseas, they are back in Korea.

But yups, I believe LSIH is still a suitable name cause tht's when they first met and had so much memories of it where there will be references to it in the later episodes in Korea. LJJ & KRW will have a conversation in the car where they mentioned what Keynes had taught them. Then there's 1 scene when KTH tells KRW to say to her what he said to her back then in Harvard when she was feeling down over her disciplinary committee thingy. And the ending narration by KTH etc etc.


I don't like the dubber for Soo In too. The way she laughs all the time is erm kinda irritating in a sense, makes KTH sounds flirty And well, I am addicted to KTH's deeper voice, so maybe tht's why....

As for Hyunwoo's, hmm, the dubber is kinda OK, definitely can dub better than the female dubber for SI but just a problem, he sounds like a child or a female sometimes haha as opposed to the manly voice of KRW + the manly dubber for Jungmin. The best of cos are the dubbing for JM & Jinah. The dubbers sound exactly like the real voices!

But then it's good to also watch on GMA7 channel cause some of the scenes they may have are not in the official DVD or TV version of LSIH aired in Korea. GMA7 got the export version of LSIH aired on TV in other countries except Korea, this version is 18 episodes instead of 16 episodes

i actually like all the voices in the tagalog version, i specially like when hyunwoo laughs, it actually resembles rae won's and soo-in's dubber is soft spoken too so it's not bad. even jina i thought sounds like the real jina and i just started to like jungmin because of his english that sounds way better and more believable for a law student, hehe.

what i don't get is the people who would pass up a good story/show just because it's showing on the other channel that they don't like.. why not enjoy every show that you can watch on tv regardless of where it is showing, at least you don't have to spend money in buying these series, think about the people abroad who are paying just to go see this shows since they cannot just turn on the tv and watch it, i don't understand this kapuso/kapamilya deal...if i were there, i would end up cross eyed trying to watch all the shows that i can watch.

....if only more people will think like you firewind, the entertainment industry will be a little more successful since there will be more people supporting the artist's work regardless of where it is shown.

actually i don't even know where the network war came from that even kapamilya/kapuso fans are fighting for who's good, who's bad...as if the other one CAN'T DO ANYHING RIGHT and the network of their preference CAN DO NO WRONG...yeah, ur right! just enjoy it while it last..nway its US, the viewers whos gaining from the competition... OK I ADMIT, im a "kapuso"....

haha!...yeah, well i have nothing against GMA, really it's just merely an observation because the dubbing for soo in sounds so much like a dubbing, like it was recorded differently from the other characters' dubbings!...haha!...

18X60mins version of LSIH is available in the market, as 18X60mins HongKong version DVD or 18X60mins Malaysian version DVD+Making with choice of Eng subs. There's also 24X45mins Taiwan version DVD but this one only comes with Chinese subs. But won't be easy to find in stores unless you get frm Yesasia or live in HK, TW, Malaysia or Singapore.


Yup I noticed tht some scenes were cut frm the GMA TV version, so it's always good to watch every version you can get I'm watching this version also cause it puts a sentimental South East Asian touch to it....

i just started watching this series today and i'm going on ep6 tomorrow~ i'm actually trying to finish it as quickly as i can and i'm doing a 6-7 hour marathon for this series.. anyways, i really like the story so far, it's not ur typical comedy series because it talks about so many deeper things and i like that.. i might get it listed in my top 3..

Yups it definitely doesn't fall in the romantic comedy type of drama and I agree with you that they touch deeper issues in here which makes it feel kinda real to your life sometimes which I really like too.

Hoteggroll once mentioned tht later when they quarrel, sometimes you'd feel kinda ashamed cause it feels as though you're intruding into the quarrel of a couple in real life. Most things they quarrel abt make sense. But all in all, this is a love story at heart.... and I love watching the love b/w the couple.

I hope you won't be disappointed with the progress of the drama and come to enjoy each episode more as it comes, that happened for me.
