Actually I thought DH is probably the one out of the whole cast that was most remembered for her role, apparently she popularised a number of her catchphrases in there like "Bbasya" and the one I mentioned before and I read recently that she was chosen as an ambassador to promote korean and chinese culture between korea and china.
So I don't really think she's not highly sought-after, in fact MG catapulted her to stardom from what I've seen in related MG clips which focus largely on her and her character that she plays. And she was among the most popular star list for last year's SBS awards. But well it's not like I've had the time to exactly follow her news closely, though I'm sure she's going to get another good opportunity to work in another well-made production, it's just maybe she has yet to find scripts that she really like I guess....
But anyway better stop here since it might be off-topic here.

True YR coins catch-phrases for viewers! Like Basshya........it's equivalent should be 'ganbatte' in Japanese meaning work hard or try harder! I even tell myself 'basshya' whenever I face uphill tasks in my studies cos' I remember YR's!

I think LDH already has a reputation to support her in MY GIRL cos' of Green Rose and another earlier MBC drama where she got an award She walks away with a no. of awards already, and for SBS' last year, she was in the top 10 actresses for 2006!

Rumours say that she is supposed to be acting in SPEED but it never really takes off cos' of a financial hiccup. I heard lately that she may be acting in another drama called 'Pride'. This one sounds more definite for her. Someone says that when a poll was taken for a drama in the likes of the American movie called 'Something about Mary', she garners the most votes! Ehmmmm........let's wait and see!

Ya.........waiting for the right script that suits your preference is impt for any actor and actress, I bet!

Her chinese actually sounds pretty decent there considering how that's not one of her main languages. I got the feeling that you can throw her any language and she can still master it even if it might not be perfect.

But I'm really doubtful of them acting together again! It's not the norm as evident in a few popular k-dramas in the past. That's the plus point for k-dramas in fact; you hardly see the old coupling but always new and fresh ones cos' the pool of actors and actresses available is really big in k-entertainment industry.

Are you sure it's really LDH speaking mandarin in the midst of the Chinese businessmen? I am quite doubtful eventhough it can be possible judging the fact that she was in China recently on an official visit cum work. That scene was funny too esp. when her appetite was really 'awakened' knowing her strong knack for food! How she mistaken the french loaf for a pen! She is really good! After that scene, I thought SGC would be kind enough to let her spend a night....... a night only at his luxurious villa since she has no proper place to go. But the story plot must go on where she ends up picking oranges at his orchard and selling them to earn money for her father's ticket.....They meet again and this time, falling in love is in the pipeline! Wow!

I love this drama sooo much! I cried so much when Lee Da Hae cried. She's just so talented. Her relationships with Dong Wook and Jun Ki are just so funny. I remember how she made a huge scene about how Dong Wook is leaving her and her baby lol. It was done so well that I had to keep watching that part over and over. I also love the part when she called Jun Ki sister and everyone thought he was a woman lol. The way he covered his head with a towel makes him look even more like a girl LOL.

I still harbour the hope though even for a movie or anything since yes it's quite rare for k-couples to reunite but if a well-received couple like Jeon Ji Hyun and Cha Tae Hyun could work at least a couple of times together or so, then I'm willing to wait for that day to arrive. Even if I can be quite an impatient girl but I'm sure I can rewatch MG or anything related to tide me over in the meanwhile.

And yes, it's Da Hae for sure speaking in chinese at least in the original because I could recognise her voice and the chinese version that I actually watched first did dubbed over her voice in cantonese strangely when she spoke in chinese.

kittyrules - I remember laughing really hard at the start of the drama even though it was kind of over-dramatic there, but Da Hae's spot-on comic timing made it work there as well as the scene at the spa, the way she calls LJK sister in that assertive tone of voice just killed me.

Remember YR's reaction when the money or cheque was sort of 'flung' on her face. She is definitely one lady who cannot stand being ill-treated.

She is really naughty when she pulls the legs of Jun Ki in that scene but she is all natural. No doubt she is good at her art! In fact at that point I feel Jun Ki would be gud for YR cos' of the tandem between them!

MY GIRL is absolutely beautiful!!!! The whole cast are absolutely amazing....especially the main leads (Lee Dong Wook, Lee Da Hae, Lee Jun Ki, Park Si Yeon)..it has a great storyline and is full of comedy and serious moments ..and its so SWEET...the story doesnt drag too..its all GOOD!!!
would recommend everyone to watch it! its well worth the 16 hrs spent watching it...

Without a doubt the best drama i've ever watched. I have never laughed so much, the chemistry between LDW & LDH is just so perfect. I love the scene when LDH was drunk and kicking the neon advertisement signs on the street.

SGC also pays the price in the ploy by being denied of seeing YR who left without telling him even at the airport when she is going for good.

Remember she cries and cries her heart out cos' she cannot bear the pain of not seeing Gong Chan. For how long? She was still not sure!

Ya.......abt. the tennis star, Park Shi Yeon (her real name). She is real life Eric's from Shinwa girlfriend!

She left Seol Gong Chan to pursue her first love, Tennis! Esp. at a time when SGC needs her the most ie. his parents went on hols. but were killed. And his grandfather's hotel business went a bit shaky because of the trouble. These are not shown but I used my imagination to picture the situation through the words spoken by SGC to YR when they went to the temple to paid a visit to his aunt who was killed in Japan.

Can you remember this scene? How YR apologises to the dead abt. her lying and disguising! She sounds repentant here! So I believe her for once!

I lovelovelove My Girl... One of the few dramas I'm definitely getting on DVD so I can watch and rewatch etc a thousand times. Lee Da-hae and Lee Dong-wook are just *perfect* together and I think Lee Jun-ki's character is one of the greatest "third wheel" characters in any dramas. He was just awesome! I usually hate the third parties in dramas and just want the couple to be together but in this I actually liked the character of Jung-woo, he was so sweet to Yoo-rin (though obviously I still liked Gong-chan better!).

It's so hilarious and entertaining, a top drama overall. ^^; I also loved the secondary pairings - the auntie and the guy who worked for Gong-chan's grandfather had such hilarious scenes and Yoo-rin's cousin and Gong-chan's secretary were just TOO cute! <33

hi everybody, I also like My Girl. It's funny at the beginning but near the end, it's really sad. Esp. the scene when YR cried her heart out at the airport knowing she could not see her love one anymore and when GC falled to his knees knowing he has lost the woman he loves. It's really, really sad. And the way they got parted, in my opinion, is really cruel. YG is the one who drove YR to airport without knowing he's driving YR away for good. hiks...., I really cried when I watch this scene, it's really heart-breaking, hwuaaa....... And also when YR lied again for the second time b'cos of his grandfather's forcing, Da Hae really act max in those scenes. I can really see how miserable a woman whose heart is smashed to pieces is. While watching, I keep reminding myself that it's almost over and I must be strong to watch it all (I can't stand teary sad love story). But really it's a good series. Two tumbs up!!!

The funny part that I like is when GC thought his grandfather has passed away in hospital. He cried so hard on the bed side. YR then interrupt and say, isn't it when a patient dies, the heart detector machine will make loud sound of thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttt and the heart line in the monitor will be flatten. When GH realized that his grandfather's not dead but just fallen asleep, his embarrassed face is so funny, I laughed very hard on this scene. It's one of the tiny things that sometimes we missed but yet so hilarious
and so natural.

i'm shock that this movie is related with chun hyang... wow!! it was a very funny movie... the idea of this movie is very unique (the way of female actresses make fun of the male actor)

I just finished this series last weekend and I love it. It's the few kdrama i have watched but I loveeee it. Jun-ki is cute and so pretty. He was really feminine in the beginning but overtime I was like he's great.

What really bother me was the ending. The main girl (LDH?) left for 2 yrs which is the same as his ex gf. So that means he could of loved her much but gave up on her overtime too. (Usually series dont let both gf leave the guy)
Also Jun ki was a player. He obviously lost his style afterwards liking LDH. I mean I understand when you really fall for someone, nothing has to matter. But he picked someone totally out of his range and never really dated anyone afterwards. And he too loved her 2 yrs later. I thought he gave up? And since I loved him so much I was so sad that they never got to at least date for a bit. (but I guess when that does happpen it wont be pretty)

hahah this drama was sooooo funny, lee dong wok is sooo good looking, the more i watch the more i thought he was soo attractive. At first I wasn't going to start to watch this series, but after the first ep I got addicted! She had some really nice outfits in the show, and I love that snow globe that he got for her.

I have just watched finished 'My Girl' today and felt that I enjoyed this drama a lots, there were happy and sad moments. And definately all the casts in the drama like Lee Dong Wook, Lee Da Hae, Lee Junki and Park Si Yeon has done a great job. I've seen Lee Dong Wook on 'Loving You' but during that time, he was not the main actor and he really changes a lots that I couldn't recognise him when I happened to heard that there's this show called 'My Girl' and saw Lee Dong Wook in this show. In Loving You, I have not really know what's his name till I watched My Girl. It's really a nice show and I liked the ending too. Even Jae Hee and Han Chae Young from 'Sassy Girl Chun Hyung' came to act too, I got a shocked. I recommend this show to everyone. A very nice Korean drama. =)

I don't usually like korean drama but My Girl is definitely an exception. Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hae both look good but the most important thing is of course their amazing acting skills. Moreover, they have great chemistry. I think the writer definitely has done a great job. I have lots of favourite scenes in this show. One of them that sticks into my mind is the scene where Gong Chan and Yoo Rin were baking cakes. They are so cute and loving.

I heard that Lee Da Hae added a lot of her own adlibs to the show. That makes me admire her even more.

I think this show has one of the best kissing scene. There is so much feeling in it.

I wish the ending could have been longer and focus more on Gong Chan and Yoo Rin though. Besides, I haven't watched Chun Hyang when I watched My Girl so the joke didn't really hit me. But I like the joke they put in when Yoo Rin's friends were talking about the common plots in korean drama.

Gong Chan and Yoo Rin are such nice characters, if only there are such persons exist in this world.

Ya....LDW has really changed in looks from the days of Loving You which was made in 2002 and My Girl in 2005. And his acting skills improve in MG. He looks very young in LU.

I've learnt that the director in both dramas, MG and SG is the same one. But I prefer MG somehow even though I must say that some scenes in SG crack me up and they are original ideas! For me, the chmistry between LDW and LDH was present and strong in MG but for SG, I didn't quite like Mong Roung from the start as a spoilt brat but got to like him only much later towards the end. Gomenasai for the off-topic.

I really like that scene too.......Someone makes a picture of that scene and titled it 'subtle surreneder' which I think it's really apt! See how GC just cannot control his feelings when he holds YR's hands to draw the hearts on the icing cake. And YR is really a glutton!

True......the kissing scenes have colour except the one GC has with PSY at the party where GC 'plants' his lips on hers only. Between SGC and YR, they beat most k-dramas where kissing is shown. I bet by their gestures on-screen, they have already developed true feelings for each other off-screen.

I thought i would never watch series, which i couldnt understand. But some of my friends recommened me to watch it so i did. After watching tons of tvb series, i can say this one is one of the best serie i have ever watched. Yu Yoo Rin can act so good and is sooo cute <3

Why is it the abs-cbn still didnt replay My Girl? Its like 6 months already since we last saw it! Hope they air My Girl again cant wait to see oppa wookie & mukgu together again!

What's the chinese title of this series called? I want to rent it... hopefully TVB shops have that video.
