It seems like Bowie has slow down a bit in his acting career. probably its due to his mom death. I enjoy watching his series and all the roles that he played.

I'm a newbie. I'm a Japanese fan of Bowie. Sorry my English is poor.
I have watched only "war and beauty" now, I'll watch another series.
I've already ordered "Healing Hands", I'm looking forward to watch it. But it has only Chinese subtitle, I'm a bit worrying that I can understand the story or not.
I'm interested in "The Dance of Passion" too, because many casts of "War and Beauty" are in it, story looks so exciting.

Anyone knows if Bowie has retired? He is totally mia in the TVB series. Anyone knows why?

I don't think he retired but he sure is mia, didn't even appear at the 40th Anniversary show which is strange. Couldn't find any news on him either. Wonder what's happening with him???

Even new series like 'Cordial Heroes' which had him in the brochure had him replaced. Well, in fact alot of the cast changed.

TVB series [Glittering Days] by Charmaine Sheh and Liza Wang is currently airing on Mainland China HunanTV station. The series received good ratings and became the 1st spot in ratings among its competitors in the same time slot. Yesterday, Charmaine along with Bowie Lam, Joe Ma, Myolie Wu, Sharon Chan and Selena Li went to Changsha to celebrate the good ratings and to promote upcoming series such as [Dance of Passion].

Charmaine carry a suave image by wearing clack cap, leather jacket and boots at the event. Though the image is androgynous she still look feminine. Due to the reason that Charmaine and Bowie came to Changsha to promote [War & Beauty] before and Joe also gained immense popularity after taking part in TVB-HunanTV's "Strictly Come Dancing" competition, they are well received by mainland audiences. Therefore when the trio appeared yesterday, there was a huge crowd and the atmosphere is very exciting. Among them, Charmaine is most popular as chants of "Charmaine, We Love You!" kept repeating in the crowd. Though the other team consisting of Myolie, Sharon and Selena are not that familiar with the mainland audiences, they still impressed the fans with their appearances. Especially Myolie who appeared in a black and white ensemble after regaining her slim figure. Her fans are pleasantly surprised with her svelte figure. In addition, Myolie took the opportunity to advertise for her slimming company by saying that if any of her fans went for slimming, she will ask the staff there to give them discounts.

In regard of [DOP] that will be airing soon, Charmaine shared her arduous experience while filming the series. She have to film plenty of scenes in desert under the basking sun and when she returned to Hong Kong she had to film raining scene instead, therefore quite a pitiful state. She also teased Bowie by 'complaining': "Bowie is too comfortable, because his role is a wealthy man, rarely goes out to desert and doesn't have to endure filth."

Supporting Olympics

The TVB group of stars expressed their anticipation of the upcoming Beijing Olympics 2008. They hope to attend the competitions to support the national team. Joe said that he likes gymnastics, he really wants to get entrance tickets to watch world champion Liu Xuan competing in gymnastics event. Chamaine who have learned ballet before preferred swimming instead and believes that the China team will achieve great results in this category.

I agree with you. 'War & Beauty' is so wonderful. It will be my most favorite drama even if I watched all Bowie's dramas.
I started to watch 'Healing Hands'. It's nice! I love medical dramas like that.

Bowie Lam was at the charity book sales yesterday. It was a fund raising event for the Sichuen Earthquake Appeal. He donated some of his books and when a reporter asked if he had his dream come true for buying his dream car he replied " it's too expensive, I can't afford it. I will buy a second hand car for my father first." Bowie has been busy planning a fund raiser to rebuild the school in Sichuen. Bowie disclosed "They don't need to use my name to name the school, but I need to supervise the whole project if time permits."

Yesterday Bowie was guest of honor at Bridgestone Roll & Play 碌車胎比賽. He was very impressed with the opening ceremony. It was ashamed he could not watch it in Beijing. Bowie reckoned England would have difficulties to match China in the next Olympic Game in 2012

Bowie stayed at home to watch the whole of the opening ceremony. He knew Zhang Yimou was the director in charge of the whole show. He had no doubt that it would be very spectacular. When he heard the drumming, he called out "great". As he continued to watch, he clapped his hands as well. He didn't even want to go to toilet in case he missed something. At the end of the opening ceremony, Bowie was so happy that he was in tears. Chinses are awesome. He is so proud being a Chinese. The only regret he has was he couldn't witness that personally.

Bowie is having a rest at the moment. He will be filming The Hudsucker Proxy (金錢帝國》) soon. He will be working with Eason Chan, Tony Leung Kai Fai and Anthony Wong (黃秋生). His will play the role of working for ICAC. After that, he will do some promotion for The Gem of Life (珠光寶氣) which follows " Moonlight Resonance". Bowie is hoping his new series would get the same popularity as "Moonlight Resonance"

Yesterday Charmaine Sheh and Bowie Lam attended Top Gear car magazine event. On stage, she revealed that she dislike being tailed by reporters the most. Asked if she will speed off to get rid of them, she indicate that safety is most important: "If they want to follow you, you can't get rid of them anyway." When she was asked regarding the allegation of her being caught in Kevin Cheng's car during scale 8 tropical storm, Charmaine indicate that she has already responded to this and therefore will not discuss this matter anymore. However, when reporters told her that Kevin showed embarrassment and 'black face' when responding to this rumor, Charmaine smiled and said: "Could it because I look fair, while he's tanned from the sun (referring to them calling him black)? (Will you give Kevin a ride to work?) He doesn't need me to drive him. (But his car broke down!) I'm not jesting with you anymore!" Charmaine turned and left afterward.

On the other hand, Bowie's series [The Gem of Life] is going to be aired as TVB anniversary series next month. When asked if he is worried of the ratings, he replied: "No, the most important thing is that the audiences enjoyed watching the series."

Bowie Lam: Tai Lau's version of "War and Beauty" is out

Speaking about people describing the "Tai Lau" saga as "War and Beauty", Bowie laughed " Yeh, the "Tai Lau' version is out, but the original drama was four years ago. If people want to see a good drama now, they should watch "The Gem of Life". Wong Hee also added "It is other people's business."

Maggie Shiu met Yvonne Lui in a function a while ago. Maggie described Yvonne as a "nice" lady who gave her a very good impression. Gambi has a daughter by "Tai Lau" but it has got nothing to do with her. She won't make any remarks. Bowie Lam visited people on Mountains, Not afraid of Danger

Bowie said that the scene where he was bashed in the head, the heels were not made from hardware, but during filming because Maggie used her real strength to hit me, so I really felt some pain. Bowie also reveals that earlier he and Yoyo Mung arrived in Mainland's mountain villages to vist. Although the roads were dangerous, but being able to help the sick, he feels its quite meaningful, if its more dangerous he'll be able to take it.

Also, Moses at first expressed that because he gets drunk easily, so he usually does not drink much, but afterwards he said that he doesn't get drink easily and start a 'short show'. Because of his inconsistent responses, he was asked by reporters about it. Moses said that at the time of the event he was already drunk.

The actors and actresses of TVB's anniversary series, "The Gem of Life", headed out to sea in hopes for the ratings to increase. Last week, the average ratings for the series did not surpass 30 points. Yesterday, the main leads, Bowie Lam, Moses and Ada Choi boarded a yacht in hopes of increasing the ratings. Bowie Lam Refuses To Kiss Kenny Wong

Bowie Lam isn't disappointed in the ratings yet. So far, he knows knows his character is well loved by the audience. With regards to Kenny Wong's character having a crush on him in the series, he said: In the series, my character doesn't know of this. Kenny never gets the chance to express his feelings. In the end, I won't know. Will they kiss in order to boost the ratings? He replied: Are we still doing these things? 2009 is almost here! Moses expressed that it's difficult to compare "The Gem of Life" to "Moonlight Resonance". "The Gem of Life" focuses on the courses of life, while the characters in "Moonlight Resonance" are more simple. I have confidence that ratings will increase, but it's not something that comes right away.
