Han Ji Hye (한지혜) and Shin Dong Wook (신동욱) will lead the Monday-Tuesday drama
“Cloud Stairway (구름계단)”, aka “East of Eden”, scheduled to be aired by KBS2 on 9/18
following the final episode of “That Man of Vineyard”.
This traditional melodrama contains element of mystery
based on the original Japanese novel “Paradise Lost (실낙원, 失樂園)” written by Watanabe Junichi (와타나베 준이치).

HJH plays the role Han Jung Won (한정원) who is the only child of the owner of a hospital.
SDW plays the role Choi Jong Soo (최종수) who dreams to become a doctor but fails due to an accident.
To satisfy his ambition, Jong Soo pretends to be a doctor.
Actress Im Jung Eun (임정은) plays the role Oh Yoon Hee (오윤희)
who is very gentle and is willing to do anything for her first love.
Three of them form triangle love relationship.
HJH’s previous drama was “Secret Lovers”.
SDW’s recent project is the sitcom “Soul Mate”.

Yes! so happy! I realised that i can watch this on kbs world...
It's airing tonight... on kbs world... (those with scv.. channel 100.. it is free channel..i think)

don't read if you don't want to be spoilt or if u haven't seen up till ep 9

to me this series is just ok. it's not that good.. but still it has its captivating elements. i was interested because the plot seemed interesting and different. but then in the end it turned out to be really boring at times.. especially when it came to the romance/relationhips part. half the time i couldn't even feel the love btween the leading guy SDW and HJH. since the series was bout a guy pretending to become a doctor without a cert, i was hoping that the series could focus on him trying to avoid being caught.. and blah blah blah. but i was disappointed as the flow of the story kept focusing on the romance which i couldn't feel froml the leads. and the guy, SDW who i had expected to see something from, didn't really excel in playing his role. sometimes i just didn't get what he tried to express.. but Han Ji Hye's good as usual.. never really doubted her ability.

and it gave me the STH feeling.. sort of..but not up to par as STH. at least STH had the potential to make ppl depressed or sad. this one tries to an extent, but till now i haven't really felt any sadness despite it being a tragic drama...

yeah in Singapore we have it on KBS World channel 100.
But the time slot sort of clashes with another show i want to watch...

So far, have not watched any episode yet.. Sobz. only catch glimpse of a few parts..
I think Han Jin Hye looks quite pretty here, more matured already.

I only watched 1 episode of this series and I got hooked into it. Gosh OPPA Shin Dong Wook is so good looking. I like HJY also she had a different character with this one. A more fine lady.

hahaha... no shin don wook is not related to lee dong wook, they only have the same 1st name.
remember they say their last name 1st then their name. so really, it's dong wook SHIN, and for lee dong wook, it's dong wook LEE. hahaha... it's ok though.

This drama is okay. The big problem for me is the supposed "love" between the two main leads. It just isn't very convincing. I guess it's supposed to be love at first sight or something, but I thought the kiss was way outta left field.

HJH ex-fiance slapped her!! Maybe I haven't watched enough korean dramas, but is that normal? Or culturally acceptable? I've seen it in Love Story at Harvard too. I really wanted to kick that guy. Bastard.

i mean..assuming that they were in a relationship for 7 years..she just goes to this island..and meets this guy.. and he suddenly tells her not to do this..and kisses her?? and they both likes each other? haha.. too sudden...but this kind of romance kinda new...

SLEEPYSA, how are you. Don't feel sad, I guess SNOW QUEEN starring Hyun Bin will be shown after Stairway.... I just want to aire my feelings towards Stairway of Clouds ending. Its a happy ending but the ending did not show that SDW become a licensed doctor. Everybody is amazed after hearing that Dr. Byeon who is popular and most awarded medicine professor is the mentor of SDW. Although, I am confused when the dad of Jungwon asked his grandson "do you want to be a surgeon just like your dad and grandpa?" So, I guessed the Ministry of Health acknowledge him as a doctor with the help of Dr. Byeon. In the end, I like this series also. Its a different love story plus it relates what's really happening in our society when it comes to rich and poor. Thanks to all.

SLEEPY SA, one more thing I hate the mother of Jungwon because she never kiss, hug or greet her grandson just like any other grandmother do the first time they saw their grandsiblings. OK. that's all. I wish to hear also your messages in SNOW QUEEN.

i think the main actor is so cute... does anyone think he looks so much like that taiwanese actor that was in "devil beside you" ..Mike he or xiaoque.. he'ss so hot...

my gosh Korean series are running out of stories to write.. they are repeating themselves.. this series is just like "Dr. khang" with Han ga in........except they change it alil bit... i'm getting bore...

This is an ok drama. Nothing spectacular about the characters or the storyline. The soundtrack has a few good tracks. Han Ji Hye is quite good though. First saw her in Summer Scent and she looks fantastic her as well. Probably rate this drama about 6/10.

just finished watching the show. It was great. I find it really touching and sweet. But there are some parts that is not really clear, don't quite understand. For example, the last ep whereby cjs can cont to practice medicine, why? Then what did kdh gave to the director? is it the evidence that cjs gave him or sth else? Then did the dad do sth to the lighten cjs's verdict?

Overall, SDW is so cute!! I like this smile and eyes!! HJH is beautiful and sweet!! =) Nice show...

I found SDW very adorable in Soulmate, so I decided to give this a try. I just watched the first episode...and it seems so far so good. The surgery that he performed on the guard reminded me of the surgery that Kim Tae Hee performed on a man at the bar/restaurant in "Love Story in Harvard." I read someone commented earlier that it looks gross, but it wasn't that bad. Just blood spilled on the face.

I will definitely continue to watch this serie because I adored both SDW and HJH. I found it funny since both of them have the same hairstyle in the drama....

Great series. Especially loved the role of HJH, she's so pretty in here...love the outfits and the hair. SDW is cute as well, they both make a good couple. Also, the songs played were nice....overall <3 the series <3 HJH.

this is one awesome series...i agree with some of u above that its some what unconvincing n unbelievable. i sorta could get the love between JW n JS but still how JS can b a doctor with out a liscense...usually if u sign the contract u have to hand in ur liscense n stuff...anyway another thing i dont like about this series is Shin dong wook, he is hot n a good actor n i luv him in soulmate but i thought his face look to young to b a convincing doctor. n his look didnt really suit this series or the main female lead. i dont know to me i feel like jang dong gun would suit better in this role. (well when he was younger anyway) JDG have a doctor face i guess. i saw him in tat series about the two brothers who are doctors? anyhow i thought the guy playing Do Hung look too old. on the other hand i like the girl who play Jeong WOn she looks rite for her character.
