think SM entertainment havent release an acapella album for them cause they fear it does not hav enough body. cause if acapella, not lots of people lik slow moving songs and sales would be lower. chalotte_poon : agree with you here! all in SM's eye is MONEY and they wouldn't be doin something that 'might' not be as profitable...on the other hand....because TVXQ! is spreading their wings in Japan thus many of their songs lately are concentrating on ballads/slow genre and this has cause some of the fans to complain ...they preffer the more dance/pop-rock type...what they always have in Korea...eg: Rising Sun (i really don't know what are they complaining about??? these guys are really great in either dance songs or ballads or whatsoever!!!...alright *taking a deep breath...calming down*) so i suppose if they are really goin to release an acapella album, better feed the hunger of the fans for their dance/upbeat songs first!!! i seem to have a similar problem with getting my friends interested in 東方神起, but that may also just be the fact that i go on and on about them nonstop and they're just sick of hearing about them. XD but a bunch of my korean friends who know about them already, bash on them for looking "gay" and "too girly", which has nothing to do with whether they are good musicians or not. if they can convey a musical, emotional message without having really ever felt it before, personally, they must have some ridiculous amount of musicality. if they can touch a person so deeply and move them, they must have something good going for them, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the way they look. it makes me rather sad to see how narrow-minded people can be...

Oi! i have the same problem.... i try to spread the word about tvxq and all i get are crooked foreheads and raised eyebrows.... they said that tvxq is going to release a drama called "hip-hop" at the end of this year..... i just hope that one of our "ever-so-reliable" *sarcasm* tv channels get it...... Judging from their looks and talent, they'll have the whole country in a heartbeat? Right guys????!!!

Anyways yesterday FiNaY posted a short explaination of the different names of DBSK, I thought I'd give a slightly more in deapth version.

Ok the name of our boys is made up of four kanji/hangul characters, in each of Korean, Japanese and Chinese these characters mean exactly the same thing but are said differently here's a little explaination I tried to do it like a chart but it wouldnt let me.
English, Korean, Chinese, Japanese,
東 East, Dong, Tong, To,

方 Direction, Bang, Vfang, Ho,

神 God(s), Shin, Xien, Shin,

起 to rise, Ki/Gi, Qi, Ki,

The Ki/Gi difference in Korean is only because, in Korean when the letter that represents k/g is at the start of a word/syllable it is said k but at the end of a word/syllable it is said g. To stop confusion when teaching the alphabet to outsiders, the Korean education sector of the government decided that the only the letter g would be used when writing romanizations. In the instance of DBSK it is said Ki.
Their english name is used at TVXQ for no particular reason other than it was the mst known name outside Korea when they began to market... I think.

bout TVXQ! being said as 'Gayish' or 'Girlish'...this's juz one of their trait!!! i was thinkin that too then i was first introduced to them!!! we don't need to prove to others juz how manly our dear boys could be... your fren has to really listen to their songs, like it...see their dramas, like it...then only they can slowy break down the walls which is blocking their mind...what i suggest is to approch them with TVXQ! songs first... throw the CD to them and don't tell them anythin...juz say that "this is worth an hour of your life" and that's it! Following the lead of Micky YooChun, now ChangMin is going into acting!!!
Well..this news is saying that ChangMin is being casted (as male lead) for a new 20 episodes MBC drama called 'Snow Flower' which will be aired somewhere in Jan or Feb next year...
The female lead (who's going to be ChangMin lover in this drama..) which is also being casted together with ChangMin is Go Ara (the girl from TVXQ!'s HUG MV...and 2 years younger than ChangMin!!!)
Anyway...the fact is not confirm yet but SM said that ChangMin would most likely be doing it!!! (juz make sure he keep his words!!!)

When they say that tvxq are like gays... it's just like a defense mechanism for them bcoz they can't accept that they are really stunned by their looks!.. and wait till they hear their songs, watch their MVs and their dramas...One of my bestfriend is staying here at our house for this coming semester..actually she's here for the past 2 sem. I've been promoting DBSG here for a long time. I've been a fan simce January of 2005.

I've been spreading anything about them since then. I even made a thread in Candy Teentalk (a popular online forum for teens in the philippines). && now a lot of my friends & a lot of Filipinos know them. Some even became obsessed to. lmao. I'm even nominating them for Candy Magazine's cuties.

I know almost all Filipino DBSG fans started as F4 fans...haha I just know it all started there.

I'm pretty sure that if local networks show anything on them like a show or their banjun dramas, they'll be famous in a snap.

A magazine said that Dong Bang Shin Ki's no longer as active in Korea as they used to be and their activities in Japan are not doing as well as we thought it was.

While they are concentrating on their Japan activities, SS501 are gaining popularities in Korea. They are gaining more and more fans each and every day.

A poll has been put up. Two months ago, Dong Bang Shin Ki was leading the poll, but after the latest reserch, SS501's popularity was very much exceeding TVXQ.

Right now, we can say that they are equally popular / good. If this goes on, SS501 will most likely to 'beat' TVXQ.

First of all...what magazine and just what kind of pool is this that we are talking about?
you know what, we can actually have us be the 'so-called popular' one written in the article if that mag's editor is my father or uncle!!! this is all talking about how SM wants it... who to be popular in Korea at the moment...
with TVXQ! working so hard in the Jap market...SM might gets freaking out that the Korean market is left unattended and therefore, here comes the SS(whatever...sorry, i don't really know but heard bout them somewhere...) to substitute......
oh, and that poll thingy...does it do something like 'you-can-vote-however-many-times-you-want' type?? if yes then too bad....TVXQ!'s not as active on TV shows and stuffs in Korea nowdays and i bet this SS group is replacing there as well..so, fair enough if their fans are more hardworking and they are gaining more fanbase! but at the meantime, i guess what TVXQ! gains is...international recognitions! with it's first to be in Jap and then other asian countries and who knows the world?!
and what??? TVXQ!'s not doing well in Japan as expected? then someone please explain why the have to have additional concerts to be held during the Japan Live Tour and the ticket price is like 'sky-high'?
so...if it is said that both groups are on equal that might be it but i've always think that TVXQ! has more to presents than what they are doin now so...we are bound to see more excellent breakthrough from them!
and when they are finish with this Japan tour and back to Korea and start on their activities again...then we'll know if they are really falling from the rank! so...up till now i'll still think that TVXQ! is way better!!!

It's basically talking bout T-Money (a communication card provider in Korea..) is going to release a series of communication card (something like a cash charge or online charge card.. that can be used online or off, in convenient stores etc.) with our TVXQ! printed on it!!! and according to T-Money's spokeperson, they are using TVXQ! as the main attrations for the communication card because TVXQ! is Korea's Most Popular group...(that's the most important thing i'm trying to highlight..)
so...this somehow or rather...proves that TVXQ! is very much on the limelight and not as what said by the 'Magazine' which is posted up there!!!
