I know a LOT of people complain about the ending of many, if not, all TVB series. I admit, some of them are pretty much crap because it seems like the series was just cut off instead of "ending". For example, for those who watched Maiden's Vow. The series just simply ends with Joe waiting for Charmaine at the church and Charmaine turning around after looking at the balcony at the resturant. I think the series would have ended better if it showed them at the church marrying or something. What about you guys? How do you think some of the series should have ended.
Sorry if this has been posted before.xD

I like happy endings but sometimes open or sad endings are also good, because it touch me more so I can think about it the whole day. HAHA

I liek a happy ending the most but like to be surprised now and then. I think this counts for most of the people.
People will always complain about an ending because its the end of their beloved series and then they cant watch it anymore.
We hunger to the end but can't bear it has ended.

it would depend on the nature of the viewer. some of us like tragic endings like academy, etc. others want bittersweet ones, while i'm sure the majority of us wants good endings. of course, what is considered to "good" to you may be distasteful to others. there are also endings that allow the viewer to interpret for themselves, such as my sassy girl or love contract. it's all relative.

It doesn't really matter as long as it was a reasonable ending for that particular serie and fits their theme. If it was comedy, of course it would be better if it's a happy ending. If it's a drama, hopefully there would be a good ending, but sad endings are good too. But it's hard to say, it just depends on how they portray it.
Like To Catch the Uncatchable, I liked both versions. Both were good endings. The sad one didn't really fit the whole series since it was comical all the way, but I thought it was more more memorable and bittersweet. And the happy one was just as great for the main couple since they got to hook up.
But I especially like the ones that are tragic and more open ending, and stay that way (meaning no sequel). Those are more memorable in my opinion. I dislike the ones that make it look like there is potential sequel coming up like Armed Reaction 4.

i like happy endings and good ones too. I found some of them to be rushed and very stupid but if it's happy it's cool.

if it is a sad ending, i want it to be a good one not rush onces because tvb has a lot of that. If it's a good ending then don't rush it. So good and sad is good for me

i dont like open-ended ending where we have to guess what's gonna/can happen...i dont mind if the ending is sad as long as it makes sense and memorable. Happy ending of course is a plus and would be better if it's not a rush one.

personally, i enjoy happy endings coz who doesn't? Everyone likes happy endings. but sometimes, it's good to see if tvb would include some sort of twist to their ending. sometimes having the evil prevails. anything unexpected with a twist is always good sometimes just so that tvb series aren't repetitive (which i think they are pretty much all the same).

TVB series nowadays like to leave an impression for the audience to guess what it means by the ending rather than having it all shown. I'd prefer a satisfying ending which provide answers rather than guessing or rise questions. A good twist is welcoming too as well.

Endings that aren't rushed and ones that actually makes sense. Happy endings are always nice, but in reality that's not always the case, so a non-happy ending is fine, but it has to make sense and doesn't leave the audience hanging.

I prefer series with happy endings. All in all, I would rather a series have an ending, either happy or sad, instead of having no ending at all. I hate series where you have to make up your own ending.

Well I usually go for the happy endings, but sometimes I wouldn't mind watching a sad one as long as I'm satisfied with it.

i preferred "open" endings, so for those who watch the series they will have something to talk about. The worse ending is "Devil's Desciples", i mean the who series was good until the end. what kind of mess up pots was that writer smoking, and the director actually go with it?

its okay for me if someone dies in the series, IF he/she has a lover and can say her/his last words (unlike DD where Sharon dies immediately .. so yeah

')
and second, everyone whos not evil in the series should end up with at least someone ..
but i dont mind if someone dies because of a heavy disease, because it would be too much of a happy series if it can survive such a , they must keep it real .

Anything is fine just as long as it fits with the rest of the series, makes sense and doesn't seem too rushed. However, I do love happy endings especially. I don't really like endings that leave unanswered questions and let the viewer make up their own mind about what happens in the end. To me, a good series is completely ruined if the ending is unsatisfying.

I always like happy endings, which makes all the series a lot better. I don't like it when main characters die in the end. It just spoils everything.

I love sweet and happy endings, they totally make my day. But sometimes, it seems to get unrealistic because not everyone gets a happily ever after ending. but hey, then again, it's just a show, it doesn't have to be TOO realistic (especially the ending). lol.
Shows with horrible endings:
To Catch The Uncatchable
Riches And Stitches
Dragon love (not exactly horrible, but still...)
Armed Reaction IV

I always like happy ending too...
I watch the show because of the main actor/actress...
And then suddenly they die at the ending...So whats the point of watch it at first?
And the worst ending that i watched is Devil Disciple...
Sharon died...
Bosco married with Shirley (He still in love with Bernice...Why cant he choose Bernice?!)
And TBOL...Ron died >.<

I don't mind sad endings or anything like that as long as it is a good ending........which btw, TVB nearly always doesn't do because even though TVB is like a monopoly in HK, it doesn't usually make big cost productions.

It depends on the series. Obviously it would make sense to have happy endings for a romance or comedy series but its also suprising when the ending takes a nasty turn and shock you like in To catch the Uncatchable!
In Last One Standing the ending was a joke! Showing you Roger in his prison cell full of hate and wanting revenge, hes in a wheelchair so what can he possibly do? Seriously weirdest ending ever!

I hate the anding of to catch the uncatchable is the main guy died or not OMG >>>so annoying
and i hate it if the one i want to end up with wont end up the way i want too LOL
you know in the chamber of bliss arrrrr the main guy shouldn't died and the main girl and the main guy should live together and his wife should died or something happen too her LOL

TVB is actually notorious for making sucky endings to their series. In the past, it wasn't as bad....in recent years though, with the "sequel craze" it was to make room for a potential sequel (depending on audience reaction)....this is why the endings to most series nowadays are open-ended...if the series gets good ratings and reaction from the audience, then they will make a sequel (of course TVB would never give up the chance to make extra money)...if it's not good, then they will just leave it as is...
This is one of the reasons why TVB's series have deteriorated in recent years. Instead of focusing on making sure the script is good and the characters are well written, TVB is already thinking about "sequel" even before the series has finished filming....it's almost like the entire series is written around a possible sequel...
I can't tell you how many series I've seen where I was disappointed with the ending -- I would say almost 8 out of 10 series that I watch....
IMO, I don't mind if an ending is sad, as long as it fits the series...
