Suki Chui is a Dab Hand at Making Rice

Shirley Yeung attended two events yesterday and in the afternoon, she joined Suki Chui at the opening of the JP One restaurant in Shatin. They demonstrated their cookery skills at the event making Chinese and western style breakfasts. Shirley has worked with this company for two or three years now and her fee has risen steadily making her very happy.

Shirley admits that she likes to eat, so in the future, she hopes to open a dessert shop. Asked if she can cook, she says that she knows how to make sweet soup and fruit jellies, but she rarely cooks for her boyfriend because normally he cooks for her. Asked if she will collaborate with him for her business, she smiles that she would rather he cooked more for her instead. Suki's cookery is not good at all and only her parents have tried her cookery, not even her boyfriend. Asked what she can cook, she says that she tried to do desserts and Western meals, but she is not so good with Chinese dishes. As for her signature dish, it is making rice. She can also fry eggs.

Myolie Wu and Suki Chui at 3D-Gold Opening
Myolie Wu and Suki Chui were invited to the opening of the new branch in Tsimshatsui, both wearing red low cut dresses and were presented with a pair of Golden Pig lover figures. They also assisted the fortune god with some magic tricks and handed out calendars and lucky packets to the public, but this caused some chaos.

Myolie has attended many openings for 3D-Gold and when she received the pair of pigs yesterday, the MC joked that the other one was Bosco Wong. Afterwards, Myolie says that she was not embarrassed because she had expected it. As for whether she would mind being invited to do this job together with her rumoured boyfriend, she smiles: "I don't mind, it's just making money. I will let the company organise it." Talking of Myolie being born in the year of the goat, then she should wear a rabbit, dog or a horse charm to improve her luck. She hopes that she will make more money, with good relationships. As for her most expensive piece of jewellery, this is a diamond watch worth a six figure sum, but she felt it was too lavish after buying it and does not have much opportunity to wear it usually. She does hope to be like Gigi Lai and spend a million dollars on something to encourage herself. Although she did make a fair amount last year, she still feels that diamonds are still better coming from a man. Asked if she would like to meet a rich boyfriend, she says: "I will not look at the money, gifts are all about the thought, but I will accept both!"

This is Suki's first opening ceremony for 3D-Gold and she says her fee should be not bad, but she has not asked the company. She plans to put her golden pigs on display at home. She was only lent one piece of gold jewellery for yesterday's event, but Myolie was asked to model a set worth $680,000. Does she feel that she is being treated differently and inferior to Myolie? She says diplomatically: "She is my senior, so I won't mind. We both look good." Suki also likes diamonds, but she smiles she has no ability to buy them herself, but her boyfriend will buy them for her. Has he presented her with a token in the form of an engagement ring? She smiles: "I would like him to." Also there have been reports that she, Fala Chen and Sharon Luk have been dubbed as the 'busty stars of 2007' who will be promoted. She says she does not mind this title, but she does not want the focus to be placed on her figure and hopes that the viewers will see the hard work she has given.

Sunny Chan & Christine Ng in New Series; Sunny Will Be a Father in April 2007
Although Sunny Chan Kam Hung will not be a father until April 2007, he will refrain from kissing scenes during filming to prevent annoying his wife. At the costume fitting for TVB's new series, "Love Stems from a Chance" 《緣來自有機》, Sunny said he has refused kissing scenes with romantic co-stars, Christine Ng Wing Mei and Suki Chui Suk Man.

Sunny commented, "Pregnant women often have mood swings. I promise there will not be any kissing scenes, as I am afraid of negative rumors!" Is Mrs. Chan emotionally unstable? "No, but many women do not want to see their husband [kissing other women]. My best recourse is to request no kissing scenes, to calm her down."

Christine Ng takes an opposite approach in her marriage. "Contrary to Sunny, I request kissing scenes to make my husband jealous!"

Christine will be taking a long vacation to Europe after completing "Love Stems from a Chance." She noted, "Working and traveling as my motivations in life. I love traveling and living at different hotels, experiencing different service levels. Last time we were in Europe, we stayed at 5-6 hotels. This time, we will be staying at 8 hotels, switching hotels every 2 nights."

In the new series, Suki will play a character looking to find a rich man. Her character will have romantic tangles with Sunny and Chan San Chung.

However Suki insists that finding a rich man is not her goal in real life, as long as two people are happy together. It is unimportant whether her partner or herself has money. If her partner makes a large income, then she will try her best to increase her own net worth and reduce their financial disparity.

Matthew Ko and Tracy Ip Embarrassed at Playing Lovers
Tracy Ip, Stephen Wong (Cheung Hing), Suki Chui, Matthew Ko, Aimee Chan and Lo Chun Shun dressed up in traditional Chinese and Western-style wedding gowns for a Valentines Day promotion for TVB Pay Vision yesterday. To tie in with the loving atmosphere for the festival, the three couples were asked to pair up to share a little kiss. In a little trick played on Tracy and Matthew, they were unpaired with their original partners and forced to share a kiss. Despite there being a plastic sheet between them, Matthew was still very awkward and would only kiss against Tracy's cheek. Aimee would only let Lo Chun Shun kiss the back of her hand and in the end, not one couple were willing to do a mouth-to-mouth kiss. Afterwards, they then shared an arm-in-arm drink and Tracy and Matthew were joked with again, leaving Matthew very red faced and embarrassed.

Tracy has been reported to have split with her rumoured boyfriend Don Li and she will be working at TVB City for Valentines Day, but she does have a small gift in that Don will also be there filming for "Jade Solid Gold". Asked if she was worried about the awkwardness if she bumped into him, she smiles: "If I see him I will be even happier because I have not seen him for a long time. We are friends and the rumours have passed now, there should be some new topics now." She also indicates that she loves wearing wedding gowns because weddings are full of fantasy, so when she saw the reports of Cathy Tsui and Cecilia Cheung's weddings earlier, she felt very happy for them. She does not wish to marry into a rich family though and just hopes that she will have a romantic wedding in the future. For now, she will be concentrating on her career because the fortune teller has said that her destiny has not come yet. She will not date anyone from within the showbiz industry because there will be too much misunderstanding and gossip. Asked if this is to do with her failed relationship with Don, she says it is unrelated and she has never admitted to dating Don.

When Suki was 19, she was invited on a date by a man, who proposed to her with a gift that held a note 'Marry Me'. Of course, she quickly turned him down. As for this year, she will be working on Valentines Day and has not prepared a gift for her boyfriend yet, neither has she received anything yet. After work, she will be having a meal with her family and then returning home to sleep. Although Aimee has plenty of pursuits, she will not be going on any dates because she would rather go out with her family. She also has to work, but she will be sending flowers to her parents and godmother. Her pursuits have mainly sent her flowers, but as a design student, she likes people to give her gifts that are hand-made. Suki Chui Has a Happy and Restful New Year
Suki Chui has entered the showbiz industry after entering Miss Hong Kong last year and in her first Chinese New Year since her appearance, she was fortunate enough not to work and she joined her family to go visiting and receive lucky packets. Many young people nowadays don't like to go out with the elders, but she smiles: "I have been busy working over the last year and I have not seen my friends and family for a long time, so I will take this chance to go and see them. I feel it is quite good. (But you are now an artiste, are you not afraid of them staring at you?) No, I am used to people staring now and most of them are friendly, so there is nothing to worry about."

Last year, Suki has been filming in series and in ads and her progress has been quite good. Miss Hong Kong and Mr Hong Kong Recruitment Kicks Off
The Annual TVB events Miss Hong Kong Pageant and Mr Hong Kong Contest has started recruiting again and with the past history of the ladies competition recruiting from overseas, this year will be the first time that the men's contest will also be accepting applications from suitable men from overseas. The recruitment period begins today (23rd February) and will end on 10th March. To mark the occasion, TVB held a special Mr and Miss Hong Kong press event as past years winners including Aimee Chan, Janet Chow, Koni Lui, Suki Chui and Matthew Ko urged new applicants to take part.

Suki says she will be encouraging her elder sister to take part. Although her sister is two years her senior, she is still very pretty, but she also has an appendicitis scar like Suki which sticks out on her abdomen. Suki, who has a boyfriend, has been spotted on a 'date' at the flower market with language show host Wong Yi Hing, but she denies the rumours that she is two-timing. She explains: "Wong Yi Hing told me that last year, he went to the flower market and bought seven different types of flower and this brought him good luck, so when I heard this, I went along with him. Originally we were going to go with the other host Shum Cheuk Ying, but she was not in Hong Kong on that day. She insists that they just went to buy flowers and that was all, but asked why she did not go with her boyfriend, Suki did not want to respond. Was her boyfriend unhappy when he saw the reports? She says that she was more unhappy and adds that she was a little careless this time and next time she will just go home instead. Does she feel that Wong would like to date her? She says firmly: "He does not want to date me and we will not go out again together alone in the future."

Janet Chow says she will tell her cousins to take part in Mr Hong Kong. One of them has already taken part in the New Talent Singing Contest in Canada and is very active, so she thinks he will be interested. Asked if she will tell her boyfriend to take part, she immediately said: "No, when they are at different ages, then their ambitions are different. At my boyfriend's age, he should be concentrating on his career." Suki Chui has Good Income at New Year
This year is Suki Chui's first since entering showbiz and she feels it is particularly special and the rather lovable Suki reveals that in the past, her income from lucky packets has never surpassed $2000 and the largest she received was $100 from her father,but after entering showbiz, things have changed now: "This year I have increased my income from lucky packets and I have had more $100 packets than $20 ones. Up to now, I have received $5-6000, but I have spent a five figure sum on my family for them to give out lucky packets." Chiu Chow girl Suki says that when she was younger, she would go with her family back to Shanmei to visit family and set off firecrackers to welcome in the new year, but as she has to work recently, then she has barely had time to go and have dinner with her family.

Suki Chui Looking To Have Beauty Spot Removal
Suki Chui has been busy filming recently for new series "Love Stems from Chance" and yesterday she indicated that after finishing filming for this series, she plans to take some time out to have a beauty spot removed. She says: "The one on the left side is very obvious and people think it is a spot. I have had it removed before when I was younger, but it wasn't successful and one turned into six."

Suki will soon be finishing her second series, but she says that this time it was quite challenging. "This time, my role is someone who is very greedy and looking for a rich husband. Suki Chui and Fala Chen dressed up as Julia Roberts and Audrey Hepburn as they took part in a fancy dress competition in a shopping Mall. Taking four hours to prepare her costume, Fala overshadowed Suki in her rather simple costume.

Fala was dressed as Audrey Hepburn in "Breakfast at Tiffany's", whilst Suki imitated Julia Roberts's "Pretty Woman" look. Fala radiated with elegance in her black evening gown and she laughed that she made a good choice: "I really like Audrey Hepburn's elegance and class. She also led the way in fashion. When I was taking part in pageants in America, I have been likened to Hepburn and I think we share the same face shape, so I chose this part today. However, it took me four hours to get the look today and just my fringe took a long time to get right."

The youthful Suki only realised after putting together her costume that the character was a working girl and when this was pointed out by the reporters, she smiled: "The most lasting impression is the poster, where Julia Roberts is holding onto Richard Gere's tie. I know she went from a normal girl to being very beautiful, but I had forgotten what her occupation was."

Asked about the recent reports of her holding onto Joel Chan's hand, she explained that this was in the script, but she is still being labelled as a flirt. She says: "Yes, I don't know why, but I will be more careful in the future. (You and Fala are often being described as a flirt?) Yes, we are very similar."

Aimee Chan's Long Legs Steal Show at Miss HK Promotion
A group of Miss Hong Kong participants from over the years gathered in Tsimshatsui earlier to add a final push to the recruitment campaign. Among those present were Aimee Chan, Janet Chow, Koni Lui, Suki Chui, Sharon Luk, Carrie Lam, Shermon Tang, Kate Tsui, Rabee'a Yeung and Fanny Ip.

As the ladies walked down the catwalk, Aimee stole the show with her hot pants revealing her long legs as a crowd gathered to watch her. They they shared their experiences of taking part in the pageant. Although Suki co-hosted a show focusing on correct pronunciations of common words, she mispronounced one of her words during her speech and it was down to MC Miguel Choi to correct her, leaving her a little embarrassed.

Suki explained that she was the first to speak, so she made a mistake. She hopes that the producer will let her continue hosting teh show. Has she nominated any of her model friends to take part in the contest this year? She feels that as a model, then the standards will not be too bad, so they will not be too shy to enter. She feels that after she lost out last year, she was very lucky to have been signed by TVB and this year has helped her develop her stamina and emotional quotient.

Aimee was presented with some flowers from fans and this made her very happy. She indicates that she does usually email her fans. Talking of her stealing teh show, she says that everyone there is beautiful and some of the other ladies were wearing close-fitting outfits to show off their great figures. Sharon on the other hand seems to have put on some weight recently and she says that she will work hard to lose about ten pounds as she does realise that if you are plump in this business, then it puts you at a disadvantage. Carrie is working mainly with advertisers and will appear in front of the camera when she has time. She feels that her current work arrangements are more free.

Suki Chui Steals the Limelight from Shirley Yeung with Low Cut Dress
Shirley Yeung and Suki Chui took part in a promotion for personal care products in Causeway Bay yesterday and recognised as having a great figure, Shirley already wore a very sexy outfit, but even she lost some of the limelight to Suki who wore a short white strap dress. Suki's bust seems to have become bigger since she took part in Miss Hong Kong and she admits that she has a fuller figure now, but this is a healthy look. She denies stealing her senior Shirley's limelight, saying that she has great beauty as well as an outstanding figure.

As Mothers Day draws near, the two girls were given a one minute sweet of the venue to get as many products as possible to take home as a gift to their mothers. However, neither of them went for the expensive items and just picked up some cheap things such as shampoo, toilet roll and toothbrushes. The reporters branded them both as very thrifty, but they both explained that they chose items that would be useful in everyday use. Asked what gifts they would be buying their mothers, Suki says that she will take her parents out for a plentiful meal and give a months salary to her mother to buy something nice for herself. Shirley says: "I want to give my mother a surprise, so I will not say just yet."

Aside from this, Shirley was photographed earlier by a newspaper out on a date with her boyfriend, but when she was asked about this, she did not want to talk about this. She explains this is just normal behaviour and she wants to keep it low profile, but maybe because her series is being aired, so she is being followed around. As for the troubles that they both passed through earlier, has this made their relationship even stronger? She says she does not want to talk about it and denies that the company is putting pressure on her.

TVB to Promote 10 Newcomer Actresses

Facing competition from ATV and pay television, TVB's high executive Virginia Lok has decided to hire an image company to repackage up to 10 young female newcomer actresses, hoping to spark interest amongst viewers and to find a future fandan. It has been reported that the 10 newcomer actresses include Suki Chui, Leanne Li, Selina Li, Tracy Ip and Vivien Yeo. Suki Chui Keeps a Low Profile - Matthew Ko Works Hard at his Chinese
Suki Chui and Matthew Ko took part in a promotional event for an eyewear company and they were both presented with a pair of reactions sunglasses, but they both have excellent eyesight, with Suki having perfect vision and Matthew only having about 50 degrees short sight.

This is the first time that Suki has worn reactive lenses and she feels it is like magic. As the glasses can protect her eyes, will she also buy a pair for her boyfriend? Matthew is currently filming with Kenneth Ma in period drama "Background Master", but as his Chinese is limited, then he has to work hard every night after work, noting his script with phonetics and rehearsing with his sister. However, he still makes mistakes with his lines and in one scene where he had to act out three pages, he NG'ed eight times. Although the crew did not blame him, he bought everyone a drink to keep them appeased. To work on his Chinese, Matthew will be reading more newspapers. As he and Kenneth are both quite sweaty people, one evening when he was getting changed after filming, his hairpiece fell off because his sweat had melted the glue holding it in place.

Suki Chui Satisfied with Fee for Promoting Skin Care Brand

Suki Chui has been paid a six figure amount to become the image girl for the skin care brand, Ease For East and to star in the company's latest advertisements. The marketing manager of the company praised Suki by saying, "She gives off a feeling that is unique. Her image is also clean, vibrant and has the 'girl next door' feel. Suki is also very serious when working, the whole shoot was extremely successful."

Suki Chui took part in a fashion show for a fashion label yesterday and also modelled the new yoga range with a couple of yoga poses, sharing a feeling of nature. As this is her first yoga demonstration, Suki had three practice sessions and fortunately the moves were not too difficult, so she could handle it.

Suki has been doing a lot of exercise in her spare time and she likes going to play badminton with her friends the most because doing sport on your own is quite boring. Suki Chui Joins Celebrations with Acrobats
Suki Chui took part in a celebratory event yesterday where she was joined by some acrobats and attracted quite an audience. As well as learning some of the skills, Suki also performed a song in public for the first time and says that she woke up early to prepare her voice. Asked if she was confident about her singing, she smiled: "I will do my best."

Suki says that doing the acrobatics was not easy and she hopes to try flying through the air one day. She says: "I like the feeling of swinging and flying." Wearing a strappy dress at the event, Suki was wary of Yumiko Cheng's earlier accident and has taken safety precautions, covering herself with tape.

Suki also took part in an event in Taipo earlier and watched fireworks for the first time. She was very pleased that the public are starting to recognise her. She says: "The atmosphere was very good and this is the first time I have watched fireworks in person and smelt the gunpowder. The happiest thing was for people to call me by my character name in 'The Green Grass of Home' - Yoyo. I never imagined that the power of series was so great."

"War of In-Laws 2007" Blessing Ceremony
Liza Wang appeared in her Armani and YSL designer gear for the blessing ceremony of new series "War of In-Laws 2007" yesterday, showing off to younger cast members such as Bosco Wong, Myolie Wu, Joyce Tang and Suki Chui.

Liza says: "I bought the clothes during the clearance sales and spent about six figures. Although there are sponsors for the show, I wanted every scene to be different, so I added my own clothes into the mix as the series is about fashion. (Will you be buying more?) I have seen the most reporters than ever before, some even arriving at 7 or 8 in the morning to visit the locations. I will not be too bothered by it and just let it all run by." Myolie says: "It is just acting, I don't understand why they always crop away the other crew!" Myolie wore a dress sponsored by Valentino and she says: "I have over ten outfits sponsored by Valentino in the show, that is plenty for filming!"

As for the suggestions that Suki's boyfriend has met with financial difficulties leading to him having to sell his car and then Suki turning her affections to Wong Yi Hing, Suki replied with annoyance yesterday: "There was no such thing, I have no relationship with Wong Yi Hing and things are the same with my boyfriend, nothing has changed."

Meanwhile, Bosco has been spotted taking his newly-acquired vintage 1973 MGB convertible for a drive and there are reports that Bosco plans to suggest to the producer that his beloved car should make an appearance in the show. Photographed filling up at a petrol station, Bosco was very protective of his car and kept looking over whilst he was paying to make sure it was alright. Then before he re-entered, he carefully polished some dust off the bonnet. Bosco admits that he bought himself the car a few months ago and says: "I have been looking for a car like this for a long time and I finally found one. I will not say how much it cost, but it is something I love. (Will you be asking the producer to put your car on the screen?) I hope he will use it because in the show, I play a rich boy and it would match the car completely!" As for whether he will use the car to take Myolie out for a spin, he says: "I don't know yet, it depends on if we have time,but the first one I will take out should be my dad because he was so happy when I bought it that he was applauding!"

Hollywood Plaza held a press event yesterday for its event to promote sports, attended by guests Suki Chui and Nancy Wu, who both brought the message to the Hong Kong public to do more sports. Suki Chui Outshines 2007 MHK Winners

This year’s Miss Hong Kong, Kayi Cheung, Grace Wong, Loretta Chow, Lily Ho and previous MHK contestant, Suki Chui were in Mainland China doing charity visits. Suki Chui Avoids Overshadowing Charmaine Sheh

Charmaine Sheh and Suki Chui were at Macau’s Star World Hotel yesterday for the Christmas lighting ceremony. New series - Wives & Concubines, Wayne's first lead role

Last year the seniors Ha Yu, and Lei Sze Kei’s series HOG II was very popular amongst the audience. This year they have filmed a sequel hoping it can be as successful as the first one. After finishing preparing HOG II, in July there are plans to start filming a new series Wives & Concubines (妻 妾 成 群 temporary title translation). There will be a total of 25 episodes. The current cast is Sheren Tang, Kara Hui, Kiki Sheung, Tse Suet Sum & Elliott Ngok Wah. Wayne Lai will be the male lead for the first time.

Wives & Concubines will be directed by Mr Li (李 添 勝) and will be scripted by Mr Cheung(張華標) who wrote Heart of Greed. This series will be like the mainland production "大宅門". Elliot Ngok Wah will die early in the series so all his business’ will be run by his 4th wife Sharon Tang, and first wife Tse Suet Sum, Second wife Kiki Sheung and third wife Kara Hui will fight for the business.
Also, Ron Ng will play Kara Hui’s son and Suki Tsui will play a younger sister. Both will have a relationship with one another in a society which denies a relationship between a sister and brother.

Wayne Lai and Sheren Tang will film a TVB version of the mainland production "大宅門". This series was split in to two series, with a total of 72 episodes. This took the script writer Mr Kwok 40 years to develop with other directors with over 100 people in the cast.

大宅門 talks about how a family owns a pharmacy, and has been passed on from 3 generations. The first series is set in the Qing dynasty in the time of the Japanese war much. The second series talked about how the family fought against the Japanese and changed the whole family. (sorry if the translation isn’t very accurate).

In the new series Suki Tsui will have a relationship denied by society with Ron Ng.

The 2008 Luxury Swiss Watch Expo was held two night ago. TVB artists, Stephen Huynh Wong Cheung Hing, Mandy Cho Man Lei, Suki Chui Suk Man, Tracy Ip Chui Chui, Sharon Chan Man Chi, Matthew Ko, Leanne Li, Janet Chow, Jack Wu and Stephen's younger brother, Francois Huynh were guests at the event.

Due to their rumored romantic link, Stephen Huynh and Mandy Cho attracted the most media attention. Wearing a black dress from her private collection, Mandy revealed ample cleavage. Stephen praised Mandy, "She is always this beautiful!"

Suki Tsui planning to release a Recipe book

To prove that she is not just an celebrity with good looks and a good figure. Suki Tsui will soon be releasing her own book. One of her main hobbies is making desserts therefore she will be releasing a Dessert recipe book called " 和味濃情 ". But due to having a busy work schedule over the past 6 months, it had delayed her plans. She states that she is very good at making cheese cakes.

In (紅粉商人), Ron plays a Rice factory manager but has to cut his hair short for this production. In August and September Ron will start filming so he has spent these two weeks earning as much money as he can. Sharon Chan and Suki Chui selling books at Hong Kong Book Fair

TVB artistes Sharon Chan and Suki Chui held autograph sessions yesterday to promote their new books respectively. During the event,TVB's general manager,Stephen Chan together with artistes Kenneth Ma,Nancy Wu and Christine Ng appeared at Sharon's stall to show support. Stephen Chan even personally wrote a preface on Sharon Chan's book during his visit. Suki Chui's stall however has only her elder sister present to support her. Suki's stall was not as boisterous compared to Sharon's.

Sharon thanked Stephen Chan for writting a preface on her book and gave him a pair of figurines as a gift of return. She revealed that she needs to film while writing her book. Because of being busy in the day,Sharon has always need to write her book in the night.

Her new book is about love relationships,the details of the books were relationship experiences of herself and her friends. Only 2000 copies of her books has been approved for publish. Asked if Sharon had worried about the sales,she said "I won't know about the results,but i hope that more people will support this book!"

Ron Ng is not Suki Tsui's cup of tea

Suki Tsui and Ron Ng have been working together in TVB's new series "Wives & Concubines" and they hardly had any rumors. They have also been reported having no communication. Suki explained yesterday that they would normally just say Hi, Say Bye. She also said Happy Birthday to Ron a few days ago. She joked by saying that recenty she likes to drink water. The meaning hinted that Ron Ng was not her cup of tea.
