ANNOUNCEMENT! mod moment and all ...
DBSK part 2 (the thread you're all currently reading) has been in business for about four months. Back when the thread first started and was !EXPLODING! the mod crew took a careful examination of our 1000+ posts rule and decided to revise it.
The NEW RULE is that a thread must reach 2000+ posts AND been active and open for at least two months. Well, this thread is pretty much over 2000 posts and has definitely been open for two months. So anyone who has checked out the old thred -- or was there when it closed -- knows the drill.
We need a new DBSK topicstart (aka: first post). It should be similar to the first post in this one (I actually spent a lot of time making the first post here with the pictures and the thumbnails and such). But, of course, I won't be making it unless it is completely necessary! It's an honor to create the topicstart and should involve the input of all the members who wish to help out. Mod crews generally suggests that people post up things that they'd like to see -- or feel should go -- in the new topicstart and sometimes topic members also nominate a person to create the new topicstart (but don't feel pressured to nominate a person). Once it's all ready to go... you can PM me (or any other mod of your choice) the topicstart, I'll review it... and if it's a go: you can put it up! Or I'll just put up a new topicstart...

TVXQ (Tong Vfang Xien Qi) is a Korean boyband. This group is composed of five male members specializing in the areas of dance, A cappellab [singing], various drama acting, and pop with an R&B vibe. The group has gained popularity in Japan, Taiwan, China, and other East-Asian countries. Today, it has become one of Asia's most influential pop groups, and is one of the top groups of the Korean Wave. TVXQ-- their international and official name-- is written in Korean Hanja, Japanese Kanji, and Chinese characters as 東方神起, and is also referred to by various other names. Its Korean title is Dong Bang Shin Gi/Ki 동방신기, which is abbreviated to DBSG (sometimes seen as DBSK). The Japanese equivalent is Tōhōshinki, which is abbreviated to THSK. The group debuted in South Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China throughout 2004.

During one of the lowest points in Korean music history, five young faces emerged on the day of a Britney and BoA* concert in December of 2003. No one knew of them, but they left a definitely lasting impression to the enthusiasts of Korean Pop and were immediately brought out into the limelight, which would make them bigger than anyone could have ever imagined.
The first member to join the group was a timid boy named Kim JunSu 김준수 who was brought into the company through a television show looking for new talents in order to form a band. At the tender age of 12, JunSu began training, and would continue to train for six more years before debuting to the world under the name Xiah JunSu.
Jung YunHo 정윤호 came second earning his spot in the company by winning first place during an audition dance competition. His move to Seoul was not done in vain. YunHo was first introduced to the entertainment world as a back dancer, and rapper for a senior singer of SM Entertainment, Dana. The company eventually decided YunHo's skills were wasted, and replaced him within a prodigy group. He would be known as U-Know YunHo.
Not long after YunHo came a shy boy with a big dream. Kim JaeJoong 김재중 left his small hometown in order to achieve a dream. Upon arriving in Seoul, JaeJoong auditioned during one of SM Entertainment’s weekly audition, and surprisingly, passed with flying colors, taking home first place. He would train for approximately four years, and debut under a name a fortune teller had already foreshadowed a few years earlier, YoungWoong JaeJoong.
Like the three older boys ahead of him, Shim ChangMin 심창민 would audition as well, and like everyone else, take home first place for the singing category. Although young he would show a strength in his voice the judges saw much potential in. Even with a disadvantage in training time, ChangMin would show a determination and respect his fellow members would never fail to positively comment on. Everything ChangMin would do, he would put his all into. His name ChoiKang ChangMin would not fail him.
Last, but certainly not least, a wild card to the group, Park YooChun 박유천 would be added barely six months before the official debut. Having a natural ability to be on stage, YooChun would easily learn all the secrets of the trade, and join the group with much ease. Living half way around the world from his parents, YooChun would have the least amount of family contact, but would be the brightest member. He would carry the spirits of the team on his back, and his fans would carry him. He was known as the American heartthrob. Micky YooChun, how could anyone refuse?
So on the cold night of December 26, 2003, the world was introduced to a group called DongBangShinKi 동방신기 (TongVfangXienQi 東方神起). They referred to themselves as an acapella pop group. The entertainment world accepted them with open arms. Within weeks TVfXQ brought out their first single titled "HUG", which boomed leaving barely any Koreans that didn’t know the upbeat melody. Approximately six months later, their second single was released, shocking fans, which had increased to approximately 600,000, with a completely new style that would bring out a slightly edgier side of the five innocent boys that the world had first set eyes upon. This popular group continued doing various activities from performing with a song from the annual SM Town Summer album, as well as continuing with a second song from the second single.
The Korean music world was ready for something more than a four song album. In late August TVfXQ announced they would be taking a break, which would barely last a month. In September TVfXQ’s first full album, "TRI-ANGLE", would be released for the 800,000 fans that had joined their unofficial fan club, and the rest of the world. Everyone in the entertainment world would agree TVfXQ was the hottest arrival of 2004.
They would announce their plans to enter the Asian music market...
And fans would wait patiently for their return.

In 2001, at a song festival, he won the daesang and started to spread his name around. Last Year in a Youth music festival, he recieved a special award and because of that, he caught one of SM's recruiting teams attention.
Yoo Chun's piano skills and song writing skills are great. He has written over 100 songs now. He has good taekwondo skills too. In elementary school he represented the state's taekwondo team and performed with them on 'Children's day".
Micky Yoochun who has lots of talents, recently announced that he gave up his U.S citizenship. It was to concentrate on his singing career. In order to keep up with the U.S citizenship he has to go to the states 2 or 3 times in a year. So it would be hard to peform in Korea all the time. Yoochun has announced that when he becomes an adult, he is going to join the army with DBSG members.

YoungWoong also appeared in the movie 'Taeguki wa Hweenalli myuh' (waving the korean flag) as an extra. But its really difficult to find him in the movie. He appeared as one of the chinese soliders.

The youngest of our group Choikang Changmin is a crybaby. When his singing goes wrong he cries. But he has a brave side to him too. Starting from elementary school in 6th grade, he delivered newspapers as a part-time job.
Changmin is the youngest in the family and group but noone can complete against his singing. His high note is so outstanding that he doesn't know what octave it goes up to. He says that hes worries that if he knows it might interrupt his singing.

His hobby is to choreograph. Has experience as a rapper from Dana's 1st album song--Diamond. He likes to play basketball, and is talented in martial arts (hap ki do) for he placed 3rd in a contest. Yunho is the oldest in the group. As he particpated in the church choir he has the position of the base(the lowest note in male group) in the group. Yunho had a hard time becoming a singer. His father opposed of it. But now his father is the biggest supporter. Yunho is going to study hard and major in music in college.
Just by looking at his face, it seems he grew up without any hardship right? Not, before he became a singer, 3 years ago, he left his home at GwangGoo and went to Seoul because he wanted to become a singer. From this time, he prepared to become a singer with YoungWoong Jaejoong. Since both of their circumstances weren't good they did part-time jobs at law schools and saunas and practiced hard.
