this is written on 27dec 2005.

this is the first time i had seen a singer in my life, and they are Dong Bang Shin Ki.

Some tall guys walked into the restaurant, it felt weird, it turn out to be DBSK.
Most of the time i heard my sister talking about them , i had seen them on TV but i never thought
that i could see them in person.

All of them ordered ramen.
Mostly teenagers of their age are very noisy but they are not very noisy at all.
the nunas there ask me to get a piece of paper and go ask for their autograph.
I said:" Sorry for disturbing, can i have your autographs?"
All of them stared at me, i was shivering.

The manager kept staring at me.
Is getting autographs from the same gender weird?
Maybe i gave the manager a bad impression.

UKNOW YUNHO:
He is the first to sign. This guy, he don't chew his food, he just swallow it.(LOL! X:)
The first impression he gave me was that he looks goodlooking in person.
When i saw him on TV, his eyes, nose and mouth seems to be close together, but i was wrong.
He looks very manly, u can never use the word 'cute' on him.
He got that type of body structure that looks good in any clothes. Also, he is very polite.
He looks very serious. ( sorry . i don not what english word can describe the word.)
His face is really small , also a little long.
He is the fattest of them all?
Maybe because the others are skinny thats why he looks more chubby.
He got a sharp chin, his skin is normal.
Men will like his looks and thinks he got charisma.

XIAH JUNSU:
He is the second to sign.
He doesn't smile at all, no facial expression.
He doesn't look polite at all, looks better on TV.
He looks weak. Although face is small, but head is big (=.=)

CHOIKANG CHANGMIN:
He is the best looking one of them all, and also the cute type.
On TV he looks like a comedian, but very goodlooking.
He looks innocent, when he smiles he looks like a kind soul.
Totally like a face of a little boy. Eyes are very big.
Double eyelids are not natural at all.
His nose looks big, when he laughs he looks like a Santa Claus...hahaha
Neck is long, so is his height. His lips doesn't looks nice at all, skin colour is also dark but is very goodlooking.
On TV he maybe not be very attractive but he is really very perfect.(looks)
Overall he looks the best out of them.

MICKY YUCHEON
He is also one of the member that only looks good on TV.
He looks very cute, when he laugh he looks like MC Yoo (wuhahaha...the host for xman?)
Face condition is bad. But he got the looks that girls will go crazy over.
He is not very goodlooking but very cute. Very skinny.
Likes to laugh a lot. Keeps laughing, clapping, talking to himself.
By the way, he is a left-hander (same as me^^)

YOONGWOONG JAEJOONG
Lastly is Jaejoong.
He really looks a lot like a girl, a very beautiful one.
His face expression is very cold. Skin is even better and whiter than girls.
Eyes are very big, he looks the same on TV.
His face is of a normal size, not too big not too small.
Although he is the shortest in the group, his character is the best.

When DBSK was signing autographs for me, the manager keep staring at me as if
i m going to eat them up. At first i want to take a photo together but the manager looks too scary.
What a rude manager they have.

I was playing it in the background of my computer (it was streaming from PPStream) and I was doing my usual surfing the net/studying thing... when all of the sudden I hear Wang Renfu announce, "Okay, and now a news segment on TVXQ...!" And I went NUTS, and immediately clicked to my PPstream and watched it. IT was SOOO COOL. I was like "OMGOSH. Even on days where I'm not intentionally watching TVXQ stuff... I'm still watching TVXQ stuff...!" It was a brief clip during their... Midhuyo days (JaeJoong had his shoulder-length brown wavy brown hair) and they visited this ..."community" for mentally retarded and disabled children and spent the day "playing" with them... it was cute.




NOT COMPLAINING! OMGOSH that picture is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cute...! Xiah attaching JaeJoong...! OMGOSH, I died of laughter. It's sooo cute...! KAWAII DESU...! It just looks like one of the random scenes in their Balloons video (Yunho's dancing is part of the video).

Umm... let me think. The clip of Changmin complimenting Ariel can be found if you just run a youtube search for "DBSK and Ariel Lin" and/or all it's variations. If you're persistent, something should show up. As for the OTHER clip about Yunho saying, "Taiwan's movies are really good," that one I found was hidden in a WQYL news segment clip for... 25.November.2006, I think... so that one is harder to find (plus, I think it's in pt. 2 of the WQYL video, so you'll have to 'go through it' to get to the clip).

Plastic surgery, Tape... etc. A multitude of things. Although I think Changmin DOES have a double eyelid (you can kinda see it in his school pictures), but has has an 'inner' double eyelid. How to explain it in English... umm... Some idols have double eyelids, but they don't have a noticeable crease OVER their eyelids, but rather you can only tell when they close their eyes and open them back up again. JaeJoong has more in an 'inner' fold instead of an outer fold as well (but the corners of his eyes show that his eyes are definitely double-lidded) And then by the looks of it, Changmin's double eyelid became more pronounced since he debuted as part of DBSK. Maybe it's fatigue? I've noticed that Changmin's eyes look different depending on what his hair is like and what he's doing that day. Unlike the rest of DBSK, I feel that his personal appearance fluctuates the most (some people tend to look more tired, more sad, more emotional, etc depending on certain days and such).




Hmm... good point about the 2005 thing. I didn't consider that. If I remember correctly, Xiah had a less-flattering hairstyle in 2005. It was that long-ish blonde stuff (with the low bangs and stuff). He looks much better now with his shorter fohawk (fake-mohawk) and darker hair color. I guess a less-flattering hairstyle would translate into a more unappealing Xiah. This was around the same time I saw a news clip of Xiah attending a school exam and he seriously looked like he was going to hit someone because of all the fans and paparazzi that was surrounding him. Yunho, on the other hand, was polite and courteous to the paparazzi and the fans (although he couldn't stop to sign autographs because he was taking a test).

What sort of irritates me is their reaction to the whole thing. But most celebrities are like this as well, so I don't necessarily blame DBSK. But, most celebs are like, "Yeah, I have to call before hand if I want to go shopping so they can close the store and I can't go anywhere without being photographed and blah blah blah." And they act like it's something they don't expect. Like after they have won major awards and are doing major commercials and are on covers of popular magazines and everyone knows every tiny detail about them, they expect to be able to carry on their own regular lives... wow... um... no. If you're going to go out in public and eat ramen (or ramyun)... and expect to be ignored and treated like 'normal people' even though you're popular idols... sheesh.

But I think this shows their background a LOT as well. Yunho, JaeJoong, Micky, and Changmin both worked and fought VERY HARD to get to where they are today. JaeJoong and Yunho basically running away -- they didn't really, but they definitely went against their family's wishes for awhile -- from home to pursue idol-hood in Seoul. Micky had to 'escape' America to get to where he's at today (and had a horrible family life to boot), and Changmin had to work extremely hard (at least that's what I heard) in convincing his parents (teachers and strict supporters of education) to let him go to auditions, and subsequently join DBSK... From what I've heard, Xiah had it relatively easy (I think, but I could be majorly wrong). Xiah's mother was already Miss Korea in the past so she knew the celeb lifestyle and was willing to let her son pursue it, especially since that was what he loved most.... that's why he was able to join SM at such a young age. He was the 'first member' of DBSK in SM, and the others didn't arrive until at least two years later (which is why Xiah is so much more 'polished' than the rest; he's the best *overall* in the entire group. He's a good singer and a good good GOOD dancer. The others' strengths and weaknesses are more prevalent than Xiah's). [/spoiler]

Although, I agree with love*knots; after all, this guy was meeting them for about 2-3 minutes tops, and under fairly unflattering circumstances. I'm sure they're much different after you get to know them. I mean, Xiah may be different in real life (I heard that he's actually quite mean -- and semi-abusive -- and sarcastic in that funny manner that certain people are fond of -- myself included), but if that was so... then how come he seems to have so many good and close friends (I mean, despite all, why would Micky and Eunhyk(?I think it's him?) put up with it.. not to mention the rest of DBSK as well) in the "industry."

Tcchh...Someone told me about this story, so I ahd to run over quickly to see what the fuss was all about. Okay, I may NOT know them personally, but we've seen them plenty enough to distinguish them from thier tv personalities. I doubt they're all fake on tv, I mean, how could someone just be so appealing on tv ALL THE TIME?

So I'm gonna go on and defend Junsu anyway cuz from what I read about his description of everyone else, he's basically a d**che himself. Okay, I'm sorry sir if Xiah did not smile for you for two whole minutes! DEAR ME! If it was like an hour meeting or something, and he didn't smile or act politely at all, I would come out and say, "Xiah blah, blah, blah..." But it was for two or even less friggin minutes. Let's see how good of a mood you would be in if you came home late from a stressful job, and multiply it by 100x with the celebrity life. Xiah's mom was Miss Korea, so I'm pretty sure she of all people would've taught him some manners. Way to contradict youself lame-o, by judging them as if you know them already, now we get to judge your sorry soul! And Xiah not good-looking?? Okay, maybe back then, was it the purple-bang era? Or the yellow-orange, frilly hair already? Okay, maybe back then his face wasn't flattered to its potential like it is now, but hmmm...let's see a picture of YOU, if you're so damn gorgeous. Ugghh...Seriously people these days, was he expecting a big warm welcome hug and handshakes from them? They see a bajillion fans a day, it's all routine, so maybe they just wanted to be a lone for a while.

Sorry for my long rant, yes I know. Who do I think I am defending them as if I know them myself. Well, one thing's for sure, I know a heck a lot about them and their hectic lives than that inconsiderate jerk guy does.

nanshi: I agree and disagree with you here. even tho celebs are public figures, there should be LIMITS as to how close fans get to them. sure it's fine to ask them for autographs when you randomly see them at restaurants and malls, but some of their fans go as far as to stalk them, which is not right whether you're a celeb or not. And you said that Junsu was pissed cos he was doing exams and everyone was following. I thnk common sense should have told fans to back off here...

yes i too have heard of Junsu's difference in personality between on screen and off screen, and personally, i think he is a bit more sarcastic and mean (in the funny way) off screen and i too persoanlly relaly like this sort of personality... XD but he does like to be cute too, as Hero did state in that phone interview with Sukira recently...

but i don't think he had it easier than others. In terms of family support, maybe, but in terms of their training and stuff, no... they all had to work VERY hard to be where they were.

Hate to seem mean and contradictory, but if I was in Korea and I heard that Xiah Junsu would be randomly showing up some place and it would be convenient for me to be there... I'd probably show up too. Despite his wishes. It would just be one of my !fangirl! moments. But if it wasn't convenient for me to show up, I wouldn't like traipse from down south in Korea all the way up to Seoul just to wish Xiah luck on his exam. That's kind of silly. Common sense should have told fans to back off here, but fans will be fans, right? As for the stalker-types... I think most of them are just enthusiastic. [We get a small benefit by living quite a few countries away from there, so it's easy for us to say that we wouldn't go 'visit' them during their public appearances... but what if we really were in Seoul? Right in the middle of all the DBSK-craze? haha. I'd probably actually HATE DBSK... ]

I've also heard that Xiah is extremely guillible in real life as well (JaeJoong loves pranking him and telling him all sorts of crazy lies; and he generally tends to believe them). But yepyep, that's what I heard.

--> And like I said, I could be majorly wrong about Xiah's relative ease in entering the show business, but I am not implying that he didn't work equally as hard in terms of training as the rest of DBSK; he just didn't have the extra (and sometimes the most difficult) pressure and judgements coming from his family and personally, I think that is the hardest obstacle to overcome -- especially when you're only 12-13 years old and no one really takes you seriously. I'm sure Xiah worked just as hard as the rest of the boys when he entered SM and began his training... but he did have major support from his family (his Mnet interview talked about him going home and crying to his mom because his voice was breaking and he couldn't sing anymore).... as far as I know it, the rest of the DBSK didn't get that kind of support until they debuted and became famous. Then, when they were finally successful, their (respective) families were willing to turn around and say, "All right. Good job."
