Woo! Choosey Lover music video is finally out! I have been waiting for it for a long time!!! I got to say this music video is very sexy but funny at the same time especially Changmin. I think the scenes featuring Changmin are supposed to be sexy but to me I find it funny more than sexy. The part when Changmin was wearing the sunglasses just makes me laugh, you know he has always been innocent and suddenly he changed his image to a bit "man" and cool just makes me hard to accept it. but I really love the dance of this song...thumbs up for it!!! Jaejeong is cool and I can see that his body is flexible when he is going some bends in the dance!

Group Dong Bang Shin Ki held a live concert prior to Valentine's day in front of 1,000 fans.

Japan's Sankei Sports reported, "Dong Bang Shin Ki held a live concert at Club Citta on the 10th to celebrate Valentine's Day."

500 couples were invited under the theme of 'Cheering on Lovers and Married Couples.' Dong Bang Shin Ki sang their recent single 'Step by Step,' which has been doing well on the Orion Chart, along with 5 other songs.

Sankei Sports continued, "The concert atmosphere was rather different as the attendees were couples. The Dong Bang Shin Ki members who are used to performing in front of female fans seemed very nervous."

The team's leader U-Know Yunho commented, "Because we never performed in front of so many men even in Korea, it was the most nervous concert since our debut."

At first , according to the previews & the name 'Choosey lover' , I thought at the end of the MV , a sexy girl would appear or maybe there would be many sexy girls around them , touched them . But ... you know , nothing happened . Also , CM was really funny in this MV like u said , & his expression when he bit the rim ... . But do u think that JJ's expression was also funny in his solo dancing ? ( especially his mouth , it's like the X-man feat DBSK in 2006 )

And though I love this MV a lot but I think I like their MVs in Korea more than in Japan because the Korean MVs relate to the content of the songs

I think am in the few group that is extremely dissapointed with song and mv, is this how they will have their breakthrough in the japanese market. No offence to anbody its just my oppinion. The clubbing and party idea is repeated their first the way you are is way much better than this; their voices, lyrics, dance, clothes, hair all was better.I just don't get the idea of the song. Jaejoong has the best voice and you barely hear him here, and max really need to get a hair cut, the hot and sexy images they try to portray him here is exagerrated, he only loo like a girl and not in hot or feminine way as Hero. and what's with yunho and hats, hero and boots ahhh their costumes used to be hot....anyways just my 2 cents...

oh and the english part doesn't mae any sense am surprised a popular group like them have to settle for this, someone should've pointed this out...this is really below bar compared to their korean or japanese songs

You get to see a lot of things that you haven't seen before, as well as a lot of things you have probably seen online. The quailty looks really good on TV. If you're not sure if your dvd player works, try this website

mind&soul - I liked the music video because I really think they look hot.... but i agree that the mv lacks depth.... It makes no sense.... I am not really sure what the song is about but I think they could have made a better mv. The song is catchy and makes you wanna dance but the mv is average. If they came up with a story or had some connections with the girls at the club or something. I was thinking it would be about a girl but it just ended up being about them meeting up at the club and dancing..lol..

Despite this drawback, I find them super sexy.... more sexy than their funky outfits and hairdo's in the O. Even though O was an interesting mv and a great song..... they didn't seem as sexy to me.... I guess I just have a thing for men in suits and hip thrusting.

To MaxiPad05 & mind&soul : that is the reason why I said that I liked their Korean MVs more than their Japanese ones . U can see that the MVs such as : Stay Wit Me 2night , Sb to love , O-Sei Han Go , and Choosey Lover didn't concern with the lyrics & DBSK just showed their charm & danced .

About Choosey lover , I think it's quite catchy & easy to attract people's ears . Though I don't know the content of this song, I think they are supposed to show their sexy image but I just think it's hot and not sexy at all ( On the other hand , the clothes in Korean MV The Way U Are were very sexy ) . Honestly , there are JJ, YH & YC really sexy but their clothes in this MV weren't sexy . Anyway YC had a cool scene when he flung the coin into the glass . About CM , I think he failed to do it because he's still innocent & his cold expression was funny . JS is the same . Though his dance steps were really sexy but his face is like a child ( ah a child isn't allowed to go to the night club , just kidding ... ). But he also had a cool scene with his cellphone .

Also , the song didn't show their great voices *_* . I actually hope in the future they will have a song such as Tonight or Hey Girl in Japan

I agree with you vaguely. I, for one, have never enjoyed DBSK's Japanese tracks as much as I have their Korean ones. Perhaps it is a degree of sympathy I have for them knowing that Japanese is not their native tongue and therefore I tend to feel a little more cynical when I listen to their Japanese songs... I still persist because I can understand a little Japanese and I know I'm losing a lot in translation... so I try. Still, I never liked their Japanese songs as much. But that's also because I'm not a fan of Japanese pop music in general (it always sounds too happy and pop'ish for my tastes, at least most males and boybands). And I think that's what DBSK is trying to go after. I mean, for goodness sake, "Choosey Lover" was nothing but pure fanservice. Seriously. Fanservice, nothing more... not really, anyways. Plus, I didn't like the lyrics. I couldn't understand what they were saying because there were too many "shi's" in the first verse. That was annoying, let me tell you.

Although, for "Choosey Lover's" credit... I will say one thing. For the first time in my ENTIRE DBSK fandom-period (probably a good six months now... Maybe more)... have I finally finally FINALLY seen what Micky-lovers see in Micky. He was hot and pretty sexy in Choosey Lover. End of story. And, amusingly enough, he was the only one who (I felt) really suited that 'clubbing and sexy man' image. I think it was the hair and the super-cool all-black outfit. JaeJoong had the expression, but his bright shiny vinyl outfit really kinda put it off. I liked Yunho's hat though. It was a little too 'pimped out' for my tastes... but I just found it amusing that Yunho was wearing a pimp hat. Poor Xiah and Changmin just looked vaguely out of place (but that could be because of the personal image I have of them).

Plus, they don't really have to "break into" the Japanese market... they are already there. Honestly though, I just think their management has pretty bad taste when it comes to releasing singles. I heard that DBSK has a 'say' when they're releasing singles, but I highly doubt it. Usually record companies do it and then tell them. They pick the tracks that will appeal to the most demographic; which is probably why they don't do manny ballads. After all, THSK is promoted in Japan as more of an 'idol' group rather than a serious group...? Then again, they're all young and hot, so it's hard not to fall back on that kind of default. It kind of reminds me what I saw on YDH's Love Letter when they were asked about singing and dancing... or something like that. Anyways, Yunho said that they get kind of hurt when people or fans think of them as a primarily dancing group because they all really like singing and that's where they want their fanbase to come from. Generally, they want to be taken seriously as artists and not just a typical idol group (which is pretty much popular for being hot). So whatever... I'm looking for their album (I prefer their ballads above most of their more 'dancey' tracks anyways) to release... and I won't make any judgements based on their singles (I've only liked Miss You so far; I can't stand Step by Step or Choosey Lover).

Not to say that the gentlemen aren't hot in Choosey Lover...

nanshi, MaxiPad05, and ciarain: I think we share more or less the same opinion here. The 1st thing I heard for them was their heart,mind and soul concert that I found on you tube subbed, & I was really amazed the lyrics were awesome and the music, the dance everything. they don't need to do happy and pop kind of muisc in Japan, they already have their own image, and they said that their japanese audience is older and more mature in terms of music taste. I liked songs such as my destiny and aisenai aisheati (wish their was a mv for this), and heart mind & soul, because everyonr got to sing a decent part that showed their distinctive color. My destiny mv was cool, sexy and hot. I really can't make anything of this new song, step by step I thought was ok, proud is goog, but this one. do they think (the managment) that their fans don't know english or something I don't know.

another thing changmin is the youngest he doesnt really have to be the new sexy image of the group, he should act his age, a hot younger hair like in rising sun...I also think the only thing that was ok here is Micky....anyways DBSK fighting

i agree... like ciarain said, their Jap MVs don't really relate to the content of the songs; so i do believe that it is just a (to quote you) "fanservice". i think the person in charge was thinking to promote the guys, they need a sexy image to appeal to the young teens out there.

what was annoying wasn't really the "shi's", but that line in English. considering Micky staying in the States for a while, you'd think he'll book the grammar mistake. and i know i posted up there the English line, but i try not to think too much about it; it gets annoying afterwards when you think about it and know that it doesn't make sense. that's why i tend to not look for their song's translations because sometimes it irritates me. yes, i'm weird, but i find it annoying when i see people write with grammar mistakes

but it's true, Micky looked pretty good there. maybe it's the hair that helped him to pull off that look LOL i still find Changmin funny in the vid cuz the image he's portraying is such a contrast to his previous images of an innocent boy

(My destiny, aisenai, eternal) even my brother who hates boybands was pretty amazed watching clips of their concert.....(He likes BEGIN).... Their japanese pop songs aren't as good as their korean dance songs but i dunno if they can be compared because they are different types of music all together.... Japanese pop is really popular in Japan....Like that fruity stuff.... I also find it funny the way they dance to some of their japanese songs.... it's like they really don't need to dance but it seems like they are forced to... Like when they dance in step by step.... it's really fruity..lol....

Even though it's changmin that I favor.....I agree that he shouldn't force himself to act so old and sexy.... Everyone knows by now that he is really mature for his age but I think maybe its his stylist and other people that call the shots and force him to look a certain way. I think everyone knows that he looked his best during rising sun days....WHen i watch the "all about dbsk" dvd.... I keep thinking " He looks soo hot!"... about their japanese albums or songs in particular. i like their korean music pretty. the beats and their tonations are much more calm and i don't know how to say this but consistent. even though some of their japanese music are still very good i still prefer their korean more.

Hi a newbie here, I've been reading in this forum for a while and finally decided to join. I've been into tvxq for 6 months, and even as a fan I can clearly see that this group is one of the most talented singing/dancing group in Asia!

Joining in on the discussion about their new PV Choosey Lover, I absolutely loved it, it's probably the first fast paced Japanese song that I liked of theirs. The main reason is because of the 80s style electronic accompaniment the song used, and me being an 80's kid... oops gave away too much in the first post heh. It's so funky!

Also the rarely used head voice they began each verse with shows off the group's singing skills even further, the dance steps are also of a different style to any they have had before, and the repeated use of hand clapping is very infectious. The members have revealed that the song was EXTREMELY difficult to sing and to dance, and a lot of more advanced Japanese words were put in the lyrics, though I don't know about the specifics since I can't speak Japanese heheh.

This could be their breakthrough song in Japan! Tvxq is getting big, but definitely not well-known enough in Japan, I've still got a lot of Japanese friends who don't even know their existence. The main reason is no doubt the dominance and almost monopoly of Johnny & Associates' boy bands, E.g. SMAP, Kinki kids, Arashi, Kat-tun etc.

For almost 2 years tvxq were unofficially barred from going on more main stream TV shows, and instead were going on shows that aired at either 7am or 11pm. But because of their own abilities as singers and dancers, and the popularity of their singles, tvxq is getting more and more recognition from the Japanese media. This can be demonstrated by them going on "Hey Hey Hey" recently, one of the most popular music shows on television, now if only they can get to go on Music Station as well, THEN tvxq can be said to have arrived in the Japanese music scene!

One thing I will have to admit about the Choosey Lover single though: It sure is repetitive haha.
