Top star Se7en changes into a rocker

747 Concert Poster

Se7en, who will be having a solo concert on April 7 at the Seoul Olympic Gymnasium, will change into rocker in the said event. His songs will be arranged from soft rock to rock versions.

He in also planned to have guitar and keyboard sessions in the concert, which will be Se7en's last stage in Korea for this year. During his concert last year, the Korean R&B singer showed off his skills in playing the drums.

Se7en did not rest for at least a day after the filming of “Palace S” and immediately rushed into practice and is already busy with the new versions of his songs.

He is currently arranging his songs into different genres like hip hop and trance and it is also planned that he will be performing dance remix versions of “Nan Arayo” and “La La La”.

“The things Se7en has not shown in the past will be showcased in this new concert. He also did not sleep just to practice playing the instruments and singing. A lot of work is really put into this concert since the choreography and arrangements of songs are new,” according to a YG personnel.

Se7en shared that after this concert, he will be busy with his activities in Japan and US.

BIG BANG is Se7en’s guest in the concert and planned to perform the song "La La La".

Last April 7, Se7en held his "SEVEN FOR 2007" Concert, which was his last activity before the singer heads for his US activities.

Yang Hyun Suk, who was also there, showed great confidence in Se7en's US debut.

"The US is the dream market everyone wishes to pursue. The competition is really fierce that is why half of the people believe that he can succeed in the US and half doubt it. Mark Shimmel, Usher's producer, is in charge of Se7en's debut in the US. The best people in America are there to help like Rich Harrison, producer of Beyonce's "Crazy in Love" and even rapper Fabolous featured in Se7en's single.

"Se7en's capability in singing live is not to be belittled too. To tell you the truth, American singers who can sing live are not too many. 4 years of Se7en's experience is not something you can throw away."



Se7en also plans to capture the US market through localization.

"There will probably be a change in Se7en's image. He will be gaining around 10 kgs.", Yang revealed.

Se7en, who will be capturing the US with his live singing and new image, leaves for the US on the 9th.

Se7en is a lucky guy and in a word, the lucky guy's concert was pleasant.

Last night, at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Stadium, Se7en held his "747" Concert, almost a year after his last concert.

12,000 fans filled the Stadium and 1,000 of them were from Japan.

During the concert, Se7en rode a lift from here and there and wore his trademark heelys and went all over the place. He even changed his shoes right there on stage.

In this concert, Se7en's singing ability has improved, danced and simultaneously sang without missing a note. Fans were all at awe as he sang his high notes while singing a ballad song.

Including his encore stage, Se7en sang 23 songs and performed with his fellow YG artist, BIG BANG. He started the night with "La La La" then "Can You Feel Me" and "Girlfriend". He also had an opening speech where he said that the concert was named "747" because it represented him and the date when he met his fans. He also said that like the Boeing 747, Se7en will keep on spreading to the world.

Se7en also sang his Japanese song "Hikari" and "STYLE" while up in the air, making him closer to his fans. He also did a keyboard performance of "Wishy Washy" and Brian McKnight's "One Last Cry".

Se7en and Song Baekkyung, who played "Bulbam" in MBC "Palace S", even had an ad lib battle, joking about the said drama. He also called out for Heo Lee Ja and Park Shin Hye who were also there to watch him perform.

YG Entertainment's Yang Hyun Suk was also there and LEXY also held her 3rd album showcase during Se7en's concert.

Se7en performed rock versions of "Passion" and "Nan Arayo".

"After the concert, I will be doing Japanese activities then on with my US debut. I hope I can be 'Se7en' who can reach their expectations", Se7en said.

Se7en ended the event with an encore performance of "Promise", "All Night" and a remix version of "La La La".

This June, the singer will be releasing a new single Japanese album and will hold a 5-city tour, including Tokyo, Osaka and Nagoya in Japan.

speaking of his new song 'this is my year' i did get a chance to hear it while it was on myspace and i'm hoping it was released before it was completely finished. when i heard it, it sounded like background music to me, like the main vocals hadn't been added. if not, then i think that for a song on HIS cd, he was mostly just singing backup- his voice was a bit too muted. i like it though it's like JT's sexyback, takes a while to get used to but it grows on you and becomes catchy.

uhm...i think 'This is my year' is pretty good but am not sure if its right for US market...i mean, for me as a fan i totally love it...it grows on u the more u listen to it...but yea, its more along the lines of Justin's music...heard he'll be making his debut in oct ?!...good, atleast dat'll give him sometime to prepare...so nway, since this track has been leaked and stuff, are they still goin to release it as a single?...or did i get the whole thing wrong?
