Hi everyone! I'm a newbie on here and I am so glad to finally be on here. I've been lurking for a while enjoying all the wonderful posts and pictures of HB.

My admiration for the man began last week when I became curious about the Korean craze that's been sweeping all of Asia. So I decided to go on a movie site online and clicked on Korean movies. There were quite a bit of movies to watch, so I randomly chose A MILLIONAIRE'S FIRST LOVE. That's when I discovered HB. Needless to say, I cried a river watching the movie and also, I gained a new found respect of Korean movies and also, for Hyun Bin. Instinctively, I "googled" him and discovered more info. Particularly, the popularity and success of his TV Show MNIKSS.

I'm not one to sit through watching episodes of TV shows (I live in Canada btw) because I find them so uninteresting. However, I was pleasantly surprised at how interesting and enjoyable MNIKSS is/was. I watched it 8 hours straight (a first for me) and had to finally stop because I had to go to work in two hours. I've now finished the show and much like most of you, I admire HB very, very much, as well as Kim Sun Ah. I think that they have one of the best onscreen and offscreen chemistry of any actor/actress in the movie industry, inclusive Hollywood. I love their pairing and hope that one day, they'll work 2gether again.

Sorry for my long first post, but I just wanted to share the beginning of my journey into the wonderful world of HB.

I'm not Korean btw, but I can appreciate all that he is and all that he aspires to be. I'm hoping to support him any way I can for a very, very long time. I am happy to be part of this fantastic forum with all of you.

Yes, I've seen bits of Snow Queen on Youtube. Unfortunately, there were certain parts not uploaded properly making it a bit hard to follow. I'll probably give it another try sometime soon. But I gotta admit, I miss everything about MNIKSS. I should've watched SQ first, then MNIKSS. *sigh*..nothing seems to compare to MNIKSS now. But it's all good. I'm going to make every effort to finish SQ someday..lol.

BTW urika..thanks a lot for all the updates. I love this forum for all the latest HB news and updates. I can't wait for The World They Live In...although I don't know how I'll be able to watch it as I'm living in Canada. I'm hoping the episodes will be posted on YouTube.

Thank you so much for sharing this. I totally love this interview. As I learn more about HB, I grow fonder of him. He's not your typical, good-looking, self-absorbed celebrity. He appears to be a very down to earth, close to family type of guy who has a good sense of who he is. As well, I love the sincerity in which he answered the questions. He's definitely not shallow, but rather shows depth as a person and as an actor. Good on you, HB!!

I just wanted to say, thank you so much for sharing this detailed encounter that you had with HB. I was starting to hyperventilate from the excitement of knowing that you were "that" close to him. I'm so envious, but I'm glad for you, you truly deserved it! Good for you. Now if only he'd come to Canada. What are the chances right? But one can dream.

I also wanted to comment on how gracious and kind he is. I really do admire him for the time and generosity that he affords his fans. I realize that it's good publicity for him, but I can't help but feel how sincere and how greatful he is to his fans/supporters. His emotional side is also very endearing and it's nice that he can openly express it.

Know what...I've been listening to HB singing Wonderful Tonight for the past half hour (playing it over and over again) and honestly, he moved me to tears. He's grown so much as an artist/actor/person and I admire him so much for fulfilling his dreams. It's like there's nothing that he can't do. His english has improved quite a bit and the way he sings the song is filled with so much emotion and sincerity. I'm still tearing up. I can't help it...*sniff* *sigh*

Blockbuster 'Friend' to Be Reproduced as TV Series

Will a TV drama version of the blockbuster "Friend" be as thrilling as the original movie?

Avid fans certainly hope so. The mega-hit, which garnered a record-high 8.2 million ticket sales in 2001, will be remade as a 16-episode TV series titled "Friend: the Untold Story," said to be aired in the first half of 2009.

"I have decided to direct the drama with untold episodes added to the original movie. The scenario is in the process of being written," said Kwak Kyung-taek, who catapulted into stardom as the film director and scenario writer.

"All the episodes will be shot in Busan, just like the original film," Kwak said, refusing to reveal which TV broadcaster will show it.

Kim Min-jun, 32, who starred in Kwak's 2007 film "Love," will replace Yu Oh-sung as the gangster Jun-sok, and Hyun Bin, 26, will replace Jang Dong-geun as Jun-sok's friend Dong-su. Oh and Hyun Bin will play the two leading characters among the four friends in the movie, according to the 42-year-old director. Hyun Bin starred in TV soap operas "Queen of Snow(2006)" and "My Name is Kim Sam-sun(2005)."

The original movie depicted the director's experience with his friends, a semi-autobiography set in his hometown of Busan. The actors use a strong regional dialect. Many movie-goers, especially male adults, were attracted because it reminded them of their high school days.
