Rain is a faithful viewer of <1 Day 2 Nights>. According to a close friend of Rain, he disclosed that "Rain has sentiments for this program, while in Germany he does not miss a single episode. He's also cracked a joke saying that he'd certainly have to participate in the show after he returns to Korea later".

<1 Day 2 Nights> is one of the entertainment programs of KBS 2TV's <Happy Sunday>. The program that is participated by those such as Kang Ho-dong, Eun Ji-won, MC Mong, Lee Seung-gi and others are quite popular in South Korea. Such a popular series has also made Rain, who is continuing to film <Ninja Assassin> in Germany, a faithful fan of it.

Rain, who must complete his movie shoot by July, has no room to breathe with his packed schedule, and it is just enough for him to watch <1 Day 2 Nights> to alleviate his own stress. 08 Jun 23 [Sohu] Rain Hopes To Help Disaster Areas; Rallying Fans For Donation

Recently there has been a few countries in Asia that have suffered serious catastrophes from natural disasters. Rain, who has been continuously filming his movie in Germany, wants to give help to the disaster areas upon his return to Asia. With his Japan fan meeting a week away, Rain sent out a proposal to the fans for a donation to help these disaster areas.

According to the news, Rain is rallying his fans to help out those affected areas with however much they can, and on the day of the Japan and Korea fan meeting there will be donation boxes set up.

Rain expressed that no matter how much the amount of donations are, he hopes that they can help the disaster areas. Rain also indicated that the amount of donations received and where the funds will be allocated to will be posted on his homepage. Hope that the small help from Rain and the fans will be able to bring warm wishes to all those who have been affected.

08 Jun 23 Rain To Make Advancement in Korea As Music Producer

After South Korean young "Son of Heaven" Rain launches into the international film circle, he will return to the South Korean entertainment world in 2009; resurfacing once again as an independent music producer.

In the past year or so, Rain has received favor from big Hollywood directors, acting in two successive Hollywood movies <Speed Racer> and <Ninja Assassin>; marking a successful march into the international film circle. Recently Rain also announced that as 2009 is quickly approaching, he will return to South Korea's world of entertainment. Regarding his return this time, Rain is greatly anticipating his resurfacing with a status of a music producer; searching out and training new talents and having the primary mission of helping them promote new albums.

Last September upon leaving his contract from his 'master', Rain made an independent gateway and chose the top 10 female students among a large number of students with the most hidden talents. Rain plans to train these 10 female entertainers to partner them up with other distinct and various guys and after which promote them together. Currently the training for the guys is not at its peak yet, and it is still a long way before there can be an official debut.

Hey guys!

Just wanted to give you a brief update on Rain's arrival in LA. It's been a whirlwind morning and I'm having limited access to getting my pictures and videos off my camera to show you now, but I wanted to let you know how things went.

Rain's plane arrived a little earlier than scheduled, but it still took about an hour for him to appear. He looked wonderful: short hair, white and red striped T-shirt, black skinny jeans, flip flops and sunglasses. When he got to his car, he even put on a black jacket....he just looked dashing! (Monika also said that he smelled so good..hehe) There were between 30 or 40 of us there, and needless to say Rain seemed rather stunned by the reception that he received. There was the MBC crew there who documented his arrival, and some of the girls overhead him say to one of the MBC guys that he was surprised to see all of us there. We thought that he was rather tired from traveling too. Anyway, he was still very nice by saying thank you, shaking a hand or 2 and signing a bunch of autographs for the girls. He even waved and blew kisses from inside the car as it was pulling away leaving the garage. It was great!
I don't have much time to write anymore except to give you the facts for now. Will definitely share later about my 1st time experience. I'm anxious to share my pics and videos too because I think I got some really good snapshots and angles of him, but that's gonna have to wait, unfortunately. Comic Con is tomorrow, and there's going to be more Rain chasing to do!!

Rain (real name Jung Ji Hoon) finally gave his local fans a treat after one (long) year, being busy in the States and Berlin filming and promoting his Hollywood movies. The fan meeting was held on 27 July 2008, 3pm at the Seoul Olympic park - only days after Bi returned from Comic Con in San Diego.

It has been one whole year since Rain met with his fans in South Korea. The fan meeting dubbed "Summer Vacation with Rain" had 3,000 fans (half were over-seas fans) spending time with World Star Rain. Fans traveled from Japan, China and Hong Kong to see their favourite Korean star in person.

The meeting was hosted by Rain's good friend Kim Jae Dong.

Rain, who is currently working on a new album (but is yet to be released) sang his old songs...such as "Running Away from the Sun". At the meeting, Rain dropped news on his new album which will be released this October.

Bi was delighted to meet with his fans back home once again and he was greeted with screams of appreciation. "오빠 사랑해요" (Oppa, saranghaeyo - Oppa, I love you!) and chereographed cheers prepared by fans could be heard all though out the meeting. This is how much the fans love their idol.

One amazing fact about this particular world star is that he attracts fans from all ages. Teenagers as well as grannies love 우리 비.

I hope his new album will be awesome!!! I miss him so much! And I miss his short hair!!!! I want him to stay away from Hollywood and its stupid scandals and unneccessary publicity. Seriously, I'm so sick of Hollywood's unending stupid gossips and scandals. Rain will do fine in Asia, stay here Rain!!!

Speed Racer in theatres in China on August 10th, Rain wanted to come to Beijing to watch Liu Xiang

"Speed Racer" starring China actress, Yu Nan and popular Korean star, Rain, it will be in theatres in China on August 10th. Before the opening, Rain will come to China to attend promotion activities. Before this China trip, Rain recently accepted reporters' e-mail interview. He indicated this trip to Beijing is for the movie and the most excited thing is, it just catches up with the Olympic games. Rain said, "Last November, I met Liu Xiang in one of the event, after that time I became interested in his competition. If there is chance this time I wanted to go to the Olympic games to watch Liu Xiang's competition."

Played race driver role

"The feeling of sweating after exercise feels very good"

"Speed Racer" is directed by the Wachowski brothers. Rain played a race driver role who is very fond of driving. Although in living, Rain have not drive a race car but he expressed that he is crazy about driving, he likes the feeling of driving around because there are not many chance to drive in Korea so when he was shooting movies in America or Berlin, he droved outside by himself.

Since debut Rain had kept his very fit body shape, he expressed he is a "exercise superman", he likes almost all kinds of exercises. Other than driving he likes more riding bike. However compared to using gym equipments, he likes the most is running and working out at the gym, he said "the feeling of sweating after exercise feels very good".

Since Rain doesn't have race car driving experience, he expressed that there were some difficulties, even though most of the racing movements were done in front of the green screen, but to show face expressions in over speed thrilling moments were not easy. Rain said, "the racing scenes that the audience saw in the movie were actually produced through special computer effects, in order to act in the racing scenes I already done my best in front of the green screen." Rain expressed the most unforgettable thing was the high temperature of 40 degrees Celsius in the shooting place, he worn the thick racer costume, this made him dead-tired because he sweated nonstop. Rain said, "Lucky the director helped me a lot, one take I passed, finally they added more action scenes for me, I felt grateful for the director's trust on me."

Enters Hollywood

"Give up on difficulties then I will not arrive today"

From a Korean singer promoted as a Hollywood actor, this time Rain acted in "Speed Racer" was a big transformation. Although "Speed Racer" is a Hollywood movie and directed by famous director, Wachowski brothers, but the box office in North America have not received the anticipated result. Regarding this Rain replied, "if I give up on difficulties then I will not arrive today."

According to Rain's introduction, his second movie "Ninja Assassin" ended shooting at the end of June, this is another Hollywood movie. He played an orphan, adopted by secret ninja organization and transformed as assassin, afterward witnessed his friends killed by some organization then he changed to a warrior who wish to revenge. Rain said, "for this movie I controlled my body shape strictly, everyday I had to train with the martial arts group, finally I had my body trained into fighting level and satisfactory shape, this movie planned to be shown in the beginning of next year."

However it did not affect our mood. We were happy to get together on that day again. Fans were patiently line up for tickets and souvenir. Smile wore on all people's faces. It is touching!

I especially love the game section. One Korean young fan had been selected to play game with Rain. She kept crying till the end. In the beginning, I felt funny. But now, I understand such special love....This is not only a happy tears but also family tears. She was happy to be selected. She was happy to have chance stood near Rain. She was happy to see her "big brother" returned home country.

I guess Rain has been touched finally. At first, it was interesting. He said "stop crying" sounds like a real brother. However, she kept crying and could not stop. The tears touched Rain's heart. He could not hesitiate to hug her twice to comfort her. "That's ok, I am back" Maybe Rain said so...

<Speed Racer>, the first Hollywood movie for South Korean "Son of Heaven" Rain, had its premiere event the day before in Beijing. Yu Nan, who acts as Rain's older sister in the movie, spoke greatly about how she spent time touring Germany and going on dinners with her male counterpart.

Writer of the post script said she was getting ready to watch a movie, was waiting on a girlfriend at the "Coffee Bean" coffee shop.

MC: why got thinner these days?

Rain: because I have to shoot movie NA, trained for 7 months, during shooting, other people can't drink or smoke, but I can't eat so I felt very painful, I had to fight against myself.

Then MC asked about his diet method...

Rain: 3,3,4 method, 30% fat, 30% protein and 40% carb, for carb, eat rice with other snacks, eat 3-5 times a day plus exercise

Rain: In Berlin there were pop arts everywhere, many artistic work, artists, clubs and pretty girls, I'm a guy so if I have time I would like to go walk around

Rain: honestly, I don't know because I didn't go to the club

Now I had completed 50% and left with 50% of work to be done. I wanted to do it better so the rest of 50% was delayed. Around beginning of October this will be shown to everybody, I will have activities oversea as well. I'm also planning on having concerts.


MC: did you prepare some shocking things in this new album?

Rain: yes, I always have headache about one thing which is "what to do if I don't have good idea for my next performance".

Just received news from dayu (a fan), they are now standing near the stage which is outside the Samsung exhibition hall (in the Beijing Olympic Park)

08 Aug 27 [Korean Network] Rain To Develop Special Program With MBC For His New Album

Rain (26 years-old, Jung Ji-hoon), who is returning to the domestic world of music with his special Asian release in October, will work hand-in-hand with television station MBC to come out with a special program.

This month Rain will develop a special MBC program (Deb's Note: I'm won't try and translate the name since it'll be different from that of the actual Korean name) similar to that of Seo Tai Ji's--created in a similar form of program as an announcement of his return to the domestic music world.

The program will last more than an hour, and it includes concert and interview contents. Currently, the television station and Rain's management company J.Tune Entertainment are discussing more concrete details, and the program will be broadcasted in October.

Rain, who returned to Korea on the 25th after attending the closing ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games, also recently accepted a telephone interview and expressed his confidence in his new special album.

In regards to producing his own album, Rain indicated, "I've spent a very long time preparing, and as soon as I have time I'd record songs. As of right now the production of this album has entered its final stages. Among these there are songs that I composed myself. Singer-actor Rain will release an album in October and also take part in a comeback program with major broadcaster MBC.

Born Jeong Ji-hoon, the 26-year-old entertainer has returned to the Asian music scene after pursuing an acting career in the United States. He told Yonhap News that he is producing his new album himself.

"I have been working on the album for a long time and it's almost finished now. The album will carry songs that I wrote myself. Because it's an Asian special album, there will also be an English version", he said.

He will also appear in a comeback program on MBC, which did the same for pop music pioneer Seo Tai-ji this month.
