I think QE reads the comments too, or at least she skims through them, cuz got once a fan triple posted or more times a same message and QE replied to it, asking her in future to not do it. If she doesn't read the comments, she would never have noticed that.
And in her guestbook, she got reply to fans messages before too.

I left Taiwan precisely ONE WEEK before Ying Ye was airing.. which is a pity! The easiest way for me to support Qiao En + Ying Ye was to tell my relatives there to watch it or at least swtich on the television.

Even if you do go to Taiwan, it's still a slim chance. The rating method isn't quite fair, especially if you live in one of those seven storied apartments. When they rate those, they only do a few of the apartments, not the full building.

You still think QE looks the same? I feel that I used the wrong word. Instead of "older," I should have said more mature. It just gives a different feeling.

My favorite feature of Qiao En is her eyes. They're naturally so large and gives her a look like she's not "mei you jing shen."

Oh... And I thought they count from all the tvs. My relatives live in those kind of apartments...

And I don't meant that QE look the same. She's definitely gotten prettier. She's getting prettier and prettier over the days even lor! But overall, she still looks as young as she was in Ai Shang Qian Jin Mei Mei and all those older dramas. There's just this slightly more mature aura around her I guess.

The first show i watched her in was MVP valentine. She was only 23 i think. She got a small role in it but i was so attracted to her character rather than the female lead who was Angela Zhang. Was rewatching it yesterday and her acting was already so good. She had awesome chemistry with Gao Tianxing although he is about 5 years younger than her. I realised that she knew Xu Mengze then. lol. She can just express Barbie's emotions out very well. QE was so pretty then. Dont mean that she is not pretty now. Just felt that something has changed about her. Acting skills and perhaps maturity ba. May be because i know more about her now and i realises that she is not as bubbly and happy as she seems. I can feel her inner emotions more and i guess that is the thing which i felt changed about her.

Yea, i love her eyes. so expressive and emotional. The best thing is she can cry so easily and it touches your heart. Those who havent watch MVP valentine should go and watch. She only really started appearing in disc 16 though, think is episode 14 or 15.

in her earlier roles yes she was younger and attractive but now it's like she's older, wiser and so much more beautiful. I personally thought she was the "plain jane" type of girl in her younger days. Nowadays, its like she's in her "beautiful swan" mode. One thing still remains the same though, she never changes herself for anyone and sticks to what she believes in. I admire that.

by and by, did you all see last weekend's treasure hunter? I just found it funny how the girls on Cheng Cheng's team were too girlie to handle a couple of slimmy mud tadpoles or whatever they were and on the other side QE was just grabbing them like they weren't anything. I guess being a host for shows such as the one earlier in her career helped her with all that. hahaha she was even hunting for them getting her hands dirty and the other girls were just plain disgusted...I love that about her.

QE could definitely handle more than some girls. I didn't see it, but the way you made it sound made QE seem like some sort of hero, and was really brave. I also admire QE.. she makes wise decisions. She does seem to stick with something once she's got it.

Dont think this show is broadcast in Singapore but shall go hunt on tudou. That is so cool. Once she is committed to do something, she will really do it. Read an article on how she was punished i think to do bungee jumping and she sort of got quite scared. but the producer told her that she doesnt jump, they will find it hard to explain to the audience and she immediately jumped. Bravo QE! I applaud you for that. That is why i think she is a good host.

I think QE's really professional.
She adapts to the demands of the crew and the producers if they're reasonable. She gets mad and unable to work with crew not because of pitiful reasons such as oh, they have too high demands and she's unwilling to do the stuff they want her to. But rather value and moral issues such as punctuality which is just basic courtesy and respect everyone should place to their work.
I think she devotes herself to her work and presents the best to everyone so that even if she loses in MXQB, we have to applaud her for her effort.
Even if she's really scared, she will push herself.

MXQB really brought out the best of QE in many ways and gave QE a lot of new experiences.

And MXQB is definitely not shown in Singapore. I keep wishing it was though. But it seems like both channel 56 and channel u have no interest in importing it.

Oh, I agree. I have to say, though, that she's gotten more professional over the past year or so, though, than she ever has been before... I'm not referring to punctuality, but in terms of facing the things she fears because she knows it's her job. It's something I really admire... especially watching all of the "flying" (well, sort of) stunts she had to perform in YY3+1 when she's terrified of heights... MXQB must have trained her.

Another thing I noticed about her, though, is that she has more control of her temper now. I'm not saying that she's like other girls or anything, but I recently watched the S. Korea arc of MXQB (with Xia YuQiao-- btw, every time QiaoQiao gets typed, I think of the one from Sweety, haha), and QE got into a fight with Cheng Cheng ge; however, HE was the one who lost it, not she (granted, at least when I first became aware of Cheng Cheng ge in the early 1990's, he had quite a temper himself)... and I thought it was interesting because I felt he was definitely in the wrong. I mean, maybe it's because they're close friends now, but I just sort of think the QE of before might have said something she would regret (even to a friend)... this one just kept trying to soothe him and patch things up.

Well, Tang Jia Hao has a small role in YY3+1, as OX's young junior I think? So we might see more of Tang Jia Hao and since he works for OX, maybe XT and TJH will have interaction.
I wouldn't mind seeing TJH in MXQB or something again but hopefully, it's not in a new drama that I see their next interaction. Cuz that would hint another SETTV drama which will probably end up with acting with the same few ppl.

Haha, can't believe that QE actually like going to the cemetery alone when she skips school and do stuff there. She's seriously fearless of ghosts I think. I can't stand the silence in the cemetery and she actually goes there to read and even count the different surname in the graves. It's so creepy.

She mentioned doing something like that in an interview a while back, can't remember if it was during PTF days or RPS days but yeah she likes to do a lot of that saying it gives her some thinking time and some time to herself. She liked to imagine what the people in the cemetaries lives were like before they passed away and even cry for them. In the interview she also mentioned that she liked to go there because she was lonely and when she was there she wouldn't feel so lonely...I remember someone translating it.

As for me, I can't even make myself look at a cemetary whenever driving pass it. I just close my eyes tight and hope to drive in a hurry. hahaha...but our QE is ever brave after all.

QE tends to get along with others well, so I feel she could handle a new co-star.

Yeah, it really is time for her to step out of J-Stars. Think the audiences will also get sick of her pairing up with the same actors all the time. Hope her next drama is a period drama. And that her next role will be an challenging character, one that allows her to break out of idol drama mode and progress as an actress.

QE has always been like an uncut and unpolished diamond. Looks rough on the outside, but look closer, and you will see the gem lying deep within. I believe that one day, she will be able to establish herself as a great actress.

I've always wanted to see QE with any FRH guys. They aren't popular for nothing lor. Looks can only bring them a short way(and I don't even think all 4 are super handsome).

QE said she was type of kid who lived in her world. She likes to go to cemetery because she likes the peace and quiet there. So probably sometimes she's bored, she will do stuff like counting the surnames.

I think QE has a quiet side. One of posters on SET forum is a taiwanese fan. She recalls how during the filming of QZBQW, she always go to the filming location to watch. She said QE in real life is very different from Ye Tian Yu. QE is very quiet on set, others will sometimes fool around and interact with the crowd, but QE always sits quietly in one corner reading her script etc. Only when someone calls her then she will look up and smile and then continue to read her script.

Yeah, watched the show already. hahaz. she is so funny. count the surnames because she is bored and she even said that the most no. of surnames there are surname with Zhengs. hahaz. i dont know how to describe her, aloof? hmmm, she is like so lively, cannot imagine her being like that during her schooldays. I go to the SETTV forum once in a while. The people who bashes QE are antis. They'll grab any excuse to bash her, regardless of the roles or how well she performs. Some even go to her blog and then deliberately misinterpret the words QE says to attack her. It makes me mad too.

I really don't understand this kind of people. If I don't like a star, I just ignore his or her news. The words of these people are really mean and vicious. There are a few times I wanted to post and scold them back, but it's useless to reason with people like them. I'll rather divert my energies to more constructive activities.

I think the script QE saw was different from how it is ending up to be now. I doubt she expected herself to act a high school student.
I could still remember her post about the drama at first and she said something like luckily it is a university scenerio, she can't expect herself at her age to act student.

I do think the majority of MD's fans like QE. But there is a group of antis who hates her. They have been attacking her for two years now, but recently those attacks intensified because of YYSJY. Like Minivicki I also hope that YYSJY will be the last collaboration between QE and MD. I like their pairings, but I do not want QE to be targeted by those people again.

The thing that irritate me the most is, with the ratings the way they are, all the more we should support our idols. They need support and encouragement right now. No, there are not so many QE haters. I go to the taiwanese bbs sometimes, and the impression I get is that QE is generally liked by the taiwanese audience. There are even many who hates J-Stars but still likes QE. QE may not be as popular as say Raine, but she does have a devoted following.
