Dear child:
I still recall the first time when I wrote you a letter was when you just entered the entertainment industry. At that time, I was worried that you will become lost in the applauses of the masses; at the same time I was hoping that you will use your idol influence, to influence many young people, and help them. life us unpredictable.....you may be here right now but just in a snap you might be gone....you might be up....in a moment you might be down.....that is why it is important to live life according to the way we wanted to live it but never forget to follow or live life according to what is right and is for the greater good....
as an artist one has power to influence people may it be in a bigger scale or smaller scale...that is why they should act as to the way masses/people would learn something from....
so true....fame and power fade in time.....but lessons learned....what people benefitted from you......the goodness of one's heart will always be remembered....don't be too caught up with the superficial things....by the glitz and glamour his job entails...but rather concentrate on the responsibilities his job have to the people.....
so hopefully Joe would ponder upon this words of wisdom his teacher is trying to impart to him.....
people should work towards something that would truly make them happy....people should do things what their heart truly desires and what their heart is telling them......it is only when one is satisfied with life and is truly happy that one could truly say i am accomplished and have achieved something good in this lifetime.....

I: What type of girl suits you best and can become the princess of your heart?
J: I think the most important thing is that she must be cheerful (optimistic). I am most afraid of girls who throw tantrums and are so willful that they threaten death if they don’t get their way. I dislike girls who are pessimists. The second quality is filial piety. Appearance must be clean and neat and hair does not need to be long and flowing. As for dressing, she should have her own style. I admire girls who are individuals in their behaviour and thinking. I do not fall in love at first sight; I must know a girl for some time before I develop feelings for her. If I meet someone I like, I will initiate and express liking for her. If the attraction is mutual and we have other chances to meet & interact, the relationship may change to become that of boyfriend and girlfriend.
I: How would you express your interest?
J: I will ask for her phone number, ask her for a date or do more surprising things like secretly finding out things about her; her height, weight and preferences.
I: Which method have you used?
J: I’ve tried all and they were successful.

I: How rebellious were you?
J: I went to nightclubs to have fun. I will always remember when I was 18; it was Father’s Day 8th August in Taiwan. Once I got my adult identity card, I went with 2 friends who had also just turned 18 to a nightclub. When paying for entry, I happily took out my identity card because it had my birth date on it. But since it was our first time there, we did not know what to do and so we stood there like fools. We did not dare to dance and we did not know how to buy drinks. Finally we became bored and left. I feel that for most teenagers, they rebel out of curiosity. They don’t want to be controlled and want freedom.
I: During the days of your teenage rebellion, did you experience your first love?
J: Yes, it was during high school. My father did not forbid me to have a girlfriend but he did say that I should concentrate on my studies. He also said that I could be as ‘crazy’ as I wanted once I am adult and working in society. He would not seek to control me any longer.
I: After your period of rebellion, did you say goodbye to your first love?
J: Yes. After the period of rebellion, my thinking aged very quickly and I came to Taipei to work.
I: You left your girlfriend behind?
J: I didn’t abandon her. We separated amicably because I had to leave home to find work in Taipei. I had a new perspective on life. My youth was over and I had begun a new stage in my life so I had to start being more responsible in life. I was no longer taking handouts from home and in Taipei I had to be independent and find work to support myself. I had begun a new stage of my life.
I: However, I feel that for a man to be truly responsible, he should not separate from his girlfriend just because of work. But instead should work to support his girlfriend.
J: But at that time, I was still young and immature. If I had been 30 years of age, I would have brought my girlfriend along. At that time, I was in a hurry to break free from my father’s control and find a way to be independent.

When Joe was resting in the nursing station, the students were outside the door, knocking on the glass, and they nearly broke it, which got Joe frightened.
Joe Cheng appeared in the campus, the fans surrounded him closely wherever he goes, sometimes Joe asks people not to follow him anymore, the students were just smiling, not moving an inch. He said:" I'm going to the men's washroom, are you going with me?" That finally got the people dispersed, waiting outside the men's washroom. If I said there isn’t any pressure, it would be deceiving, as the things that I’ve carry on my shoulder becoming more and more, there would be one day that I will also need to change, I resign myself to destiny, I know that right now I’m a idol at this phase, even need to avail myself of being young to work harder. I become a person who is very afraid of lonesome; don’t think that Gemini will definitely be happy always, I did not participate in any acting or competition before when I’m young, it would be ‘composition competition’ and ‘healthy baby’ during every school term. Although I’ve participate in the Kang Fu society in high school, but being a chief-of staff, all I need to do was just administration and it would never need me to took part in any activity.

i have always felt that JOE's more partial to the director....he treats the WINNIE not just that as a director but i think JOE treats him more now as family or like a father or someone that he could look up to for guidance and love....
i felt sad for JOE.....but in bitter things in life...greater things are to be learned and gained.....so hopefully JOE would have that...or already has that.... ....sometimes divorce or you know most of the times divorce or anything for that matter could somehow leave a traumatic effect on a child...that is why i also believe that JOE would not take matter like RELATIONSHIP so LIGHTLY....much more MARRIED LIFE...and much more the TOPIC of MARRIAGE...
thus i hope JOE would continually make the experience he had on his childhood as something he could look back upon or ponder upon from time to time when things go bleak on his future or day to day life.....that you know he could use that experience as something for him to know what to do with his future....as not to end up like his parents....

But do you remember the scene that XQ was standing in front of Zhi Shu's house and thinking about what'll happen when the doors is opened? The guy who played as the gay together with Zhi Shu was the director. They must have a secret relationship.
