Bobby Au-Yeung as Chai Foon Cheung



In this series, Bobby plays an overweight (hence the big belly!!) bad-luck gambling addict and is only interested in sleeping, eating and gambling. He was not always this way.. he actually has a natural gift for gambling but because his neglect leads to his brother's disappearance, he suffered from depression and guilt. As a result of his gambling debts, he is forced to take refuge in the Philippines where he finds a job at a casin0 managed by Michael Miu. He meets Jessica, another gambling addict, and wagers with Michael to see if they can cure Jessica's gambling addiction.


Bobby's character has a romance with Jessica and is reunited with his brother, Bosco.. As a result, he will pull his life together and becomes a changed (and skinnier!) man..


This sort of role is right up Bobby's alley.. comedy and drama mixed together. Bobby has a natural flair for these types of roles and I can't wait to see him in action. Bobby-Jessica as lovers, Bobby-Bosco as brothers and Bobby-Michael as enemies..

bobby is cool int his serie, he wasn't funny in his last serie. he should make more series like this

after watching episode 1,he is awesome once again

he is just so great at acting these pikey, funny, slobby roles
just watching the first episode i can tell it is going to be great

Bobby is always a great actor.. I think he'll do a great job in this series. He's really a pig in this series though.. seems like he eats soo much and his mouth was so oily... his stomach is really big too!
I wonder why he got beat up in the first episode during the flashback, when he went back to look for Bosco.

his role is so funny... n him in like t-shirt n shorts the appearence is pretty new.. since lately he is always in suits n stuff.. even tho he still wear suits in this movie.. but he is jsut very funny in this movie...

Bobby is funny again, I really like, because this time the humor is different from the other series (sometimes it is still the same, but not here!).
I don't really like his big fat tummy, but I think with that belly he looks like someone who is addicted to gambling.

Never seen Bobby so shabby & poor before in modern series! He had been beaten up so badly several times & it's a miracle that he can still survive! A real model of 'Bad Luck' !
He looked so sad & serious in the first 4 episodes and we can hardly see him smile! This role is so different from what he had in the past! I think the appearance of Jessica will bring some sparkles to his life....!
He is such a good actor......! I never feel disappointed in any of his series!

Once again Bobby has done a great job! At the end of eps 3, I could not believe that he could cry like that. It was heart-breaking to watch and i was crying with him and then hacken's song came on and it was the perfect song to listen to at the moment.

Yeah Bobby is a really great actor!! It was amazing how he could switch back and forth from a super funny character to a sad one so naturally. Thumbs up!

Yes, definitely, Bobby's acting is superb and throw in gambling too into this series is sure to be a smash hit as most chinese love gambling one way or another. The excitement and exhiliration that Jessica gets into when she's gambling is really too good to be true - does people get like this when they gamble at the casino?

His role is funny but kind of awkward. He always "sinks someone's boat" by putting one chip and he/she loses their streak. Some bad luck that is.

i could not believe how round his stomach was. Did he gain a lot for this movie?
The beginning was sad, seeing how bobby got beaten up and was obsessed with gambling. But in some parts later on he gets a bit funnier. I'll watch this series no matter what since bobby, jessica, and bosco is in it.

I think he gained 10 lbs for this role but in the series he also wears a fake belly.

As much as I like the humourous Bobby.. I'm also really excited to see the smooth, confident Bobby..

Now that he's found his long-lost brother, slimmed down, and regained his confidence.. I anticipate that his good luck on the gambling table will have returned..

In the previews for next week, we see Bobby wearing a smart black suit.. looks like he's been hired by the casino..

Wut i really wanna see is a gambling match between bosco + bobby(serious 1, no cheats!). And that is definitely a fake belly, there is no way he can gain that over a couple of weeks just for this series. But i loved the first episode when he was in the phillipines gambling on the streets. That was hilarious, he's like HOL UP HOL UP, Gib me Gib Me! That was great. Still gotta watch ep10 and hope bosco doesnt end up obsessed over tavia too early =/.

well as usual bobby's act is the best .. haha.. he always did well in his role... no comments about him ... but he is become fatter and fatter.. cant really stand with his BIG TUMMY.... if he lose some weight... no big tummy.... wah... then when he act in this TVB willl he very handsome when he wear TUXEDO.... wuahaha

if you watch on, they will reveal that when they were younger about 20 years before, they had a competition and Bobby's younger character saw Michael younger character's gf and left his lil brother alone to go after that girl. I got very bad vibes about this, i got a feeling that girl did it on purpose, its all just an act to distract Bobby. as he is a threat to Michael.

Stunning acting by Bobby. I knew he was versatile but man was his crying really impressive! I'm disappointed that this was aired after the anniversary as he would of been a top contender for Best Male. There was just so much emotions he had to portray through this role. I hope this series does really well so it might be in contention for next years anniversary (I believe its still eligible?) and Bobby gets the recognition he deserves!!!

On a side note I really liked how he stood up to clap for Tavia's introduction through the beauty pageant despite knowing her for only a glimpse.

i think that his character is really cool because he is a gambler that makes people lose which i think is a cool character.

Bobby never disappoints me in his acting skills but i have always thought he does only comedy kind of roles but i was really surprised with all his teary or crying out loud scenes. And as always Bobby acted them out very very well. Bobby truly is a good actor.

everyone is praising bobby's crying skills but he can also release emotion without any tears involved. i really felt his dilemma in chap 18 when he ponders what to do about michael's cheating. he is able to change his voice and his expression is so sullen. i think that scene was just as impressive.

I totally agree. When he was over Michaels house after finding out what michaels' done, wow. When Michael was begging Bobby to hand it over, just wow!. Bobby did a really good job on that scene, and the scene later in the office. He really portrayed it well.

Ditto for me!! I think Michael's doing a good job in this series too.. but he's just missing that little bit of something that makes Bobby such an awesome actor. It's funny that Bobby used to be an extra in Michael's series back in the 80s and now Bobby has surpassed Michael in acting ability..

It's just driving me crazy that Bobby STILL hasn't told Bosco that they are brothers!!

lol i felt that way earlier but now, timing is important. Unless Bobby clear up the robbery incident, it would only make him look bad towards bosco(mayb even think bobby sold his brother to make money?) Cause all bosco remembers is vague glimpses of him being with someone related to him. For all he knows, mayb bobby does have a thing^^ for him lol, especially due to the way he interacts with benz all the time, Oh baby!

What can I say, I'm really impressed by his acting. I love all his emotional and comedic scenes. And I totally feel his love and care for Bosco here, haha what a terrific actor

Boby is 1 of my favourite TVB actor. i believe, in this series he is just as good. he started this drama as a no use kind of gambler type. but soon changes to become a real gentlemen, who everybody likes.except bosco, who in the 1st thought Boby was a gay
he was so funny and always making ppl laugh throughout the entire series, until where he was betray by Miu Kiu Wai. that is when he become who he really was, in this drama- the best showhand king......

so far until episode 20+, he's still a bit of a loser..i just cannot wait to see him actually fight back for his brother..who is really really annoyingly dumb...

His brother was really annoying, selfish & bias in his behaviour to Bobby BUT Bobby always forgave him no matter how bad he felt ....Thought he must feel very disappointed & hurt everytime he was rejected by Bosco...still he loved him as a brother regardless of how he treated him! Whoever had a brother like Bobby would be really Lucky & Grateful!!!

His character is great, but however extremely unlucky, but it seems that after he loses his brother he loses all his luck. HE is a great actor, his crying scenes look so realistc, he is not only good in funny scenes, but also in the sad scenes.

his character was great. i personnally think that he was the main main character. he's a funny guy, but unlucky. i was dieing to see him meet bosco as his brother( lol it took him bout 10 epis to see that) and see him gamble like a pro.

Yeah, he was the nicest guy in the series.......a good caring brother to Bosco, a dear & true friend to Benz & Michael, a loving, forgiving & honest partner to Jessica, a hardworking & reliable staff in the casino.......! Bobby was a Model of Super-good Man which was so rare now in real life!

Even though everything you said is true.. I don't find Bobby's character too perfect or unrealistic.

For example.. Gallen's character in Golden Faith.. now that was a model of a super-good man. TOO perfect..


Perhaps it's Bobby's physical appearance that makes him more believable?

Thought you misunderstood my point again...I didn't say Bobby was too perfect or Unrealistic. Just that he was a Model of Super-good man THAT WAS REALLY HARD TO FIND IN REAL LIFE!

Forget to say that Gallen in Golden Faith was another exampe of Model of Super-good man. He was even MORE PERFERT than Bobby in DB! ( I doubted whether this sort of man will really exist in real life....???!!! Just like an extinct specis on earth! lol! Really Lucky if you can really meet one in REAL LIFE !)

You can't really say that Bobby "surpassed" Michael. They are both really good actors but I seriously don't think Bobby is better than Michael. And you have to consider that Michael just came back to acting like 2 years ago and Bobby has been acting for like all his life.

No no.. I didn't misunderstand.. I just meant to point out that Bobby's character is better than Gallen's because his character is more realistic and not too perfect..

I've always like bobby's acting and he is one of the reasons i liked this series. not only can he bring humor into a series, but he can also act serious too

Bobby did an awesome job in this series. one of his best yet. I don't even recall his last series.

I always love bobby's acting, always great and funny. In this series he was fantastic as usual, but he has a massive belly!!!!!!

He's Reallll goood!!! his funny but at the same time he's good in the sad scenes. thumbs up!!

I really loved Bobby's performance in Dicey Business but i wish that he would play some other kind of role. He is always playing the innocent and right guy. Would love to see him play as a villian hahaha.

OMGG HES MY FAVORITE!!! so funny and i loved him.. although his acting while trying to be bosco's brother was a little bland, i thought he was the funniest and best actor

Bobby always played the funny type of character in most of his series. In this one he's no exception where he's quite funny at the start with jessica. Very professional in terms of his acting skills. Can be funny and serious at times. He played the character well where he shows great emotions when he found out that bosco was his brother. IT's very touching at the moment partly due to bobby's acting. The character itself is very complex where he doesn't reveal much of his emotion until he sees his brother througout the series both at the start and the end.
