Calling ALL fans of this great drama! Which part do u guys prefer?

For me, I prefer part 1! the reason being is I love the casts of part 1 more, especially Matsumoto Jun! And I felt the stories in part 1 were more touching than part 2! And I quite dislike the new 3-D class...I want the old class back!

So what about u other Gokusen fans out there? Which part do u prefer? And please state why u prefer that part; is it because of the storyline? or the casts?

i haven't finished watching gokusen2 but i must admit i love them both.

Uhhh Gokusen 1...2 was basically 1 again and hotter guys ain't going to make me forget the 1st one...so yea i'm going w/the first one..

I like part 1 more, mainly because of the casts

I like both of them. They all played very well in Gokusen. So it's very difficult to choose which one is the best.

I love gokusen 1..the cast are excellent, the actors play there characters very good..mostly I love Sawada Shin!. thats the character i would never forget in Gokusen 1...Sawada Shin..the hot jun matsumoto is what makes me love gokusen 1. I didn't watch Gokusen 2 fully i only watch couple of scenes when the teacher enter the 3-D classroom then i stopped cuz it didn't persuade me to watch further so i end up never watch it dont plan too either...the main reason i didn't watch Gokusen 2 because no Jun Matsumoto and I dont like Jin either...

I'd go for 1 as well. For me, Gokusen just isn't Gokusen without Sawada Shin and Yankumi and all the other manga characters (not to mention, Shinkumi!! <3). Besides that, I'm also attracted to the casts in the first one more than the second.

Gokusen 2 ofcourse~

I couldnt stand MatsuJun eventhough I tried tso hard. So I couldnt get any emotion from the series.

Kame made me shed a tear in ep.9 and this is the series where I started to like Jin. I really think he's a prat on the 1st couple of episodes. It was really kame who made me watch the series partly bcoz Im effin' curious about his character(he doesnt talk much) plus he looks a bit like the Dir en Grey drummer Shinya at 1st glance(bcoz of his hair I think)

I totally agree with u! Gokusen is just not the same without Sawada Shin (matsumoto jun)! sure the new 3D class in part 2 were good-looking and all and their stories were "touching", but so where the stories of the old 3D class...and the new 3D class really did not attracted me...whenever I see Hayato and Ryu, I can't help but picture Shin in my head! he is like Hayato and Ryu put together! it's hard for me to get the original 3D class out of my head! I really love all of them! Especially Shin and Kuma! to me, the casts of part 1 are irreplaceable!

As for ShinKumi, I was disappointed too! In the manga and anime, Yankumi and Shin were a couple but that did not happen in the drama version I wish the scriptwriters would just stick to the original storyline!

lol finally! It seems like there's this never-ending debate about whether Gokusen 1 is better or is it the other way round. ^^ I vote for Gokusen one!

Alright, maybe its because I'm not so much of a Akame fan, but still, at least Gokusen 1 was closer to the Manga! Plus, I do find Gokusen 2's plot rather repetitive and can't help but to compare the 2 side-by-side...

I've rewatched Gokusen 1 more than 6 times the past few months but had never touched Gokusen 2 again after the first time. So, Its Gokusen 1 for me!

Anyway, I agree with u, even though ShinKumi didn't really become a 'real' couple, they were attracted to each other at least and they do actually like each other...just not in the sense that we were hoping for It's just frustrating for me cuz I'm currently watching the anime, I much prefer the original storyline!

Gosh! judging by the votes at the moment, it seems like more prefer part 1! kinda surprising cuz part 2 had much higher ratings than part 1 had...but then again, ratings is not important, it doesn't mean much anyway.

That is very true indeed. Anyone can tell off the bat that part 2 was popular because of the characters, and not so much the plot itself. My friend even admitted to me once that she watched it because of the casts was more attracting... I'm not saying that this is the case for the majority, but for those who never watched part 1 and wants to watch one of the two Gokusens will probably choose part 2 over the first one once they find out that Gokusen 1 and 2 are not inter-related.

Who can deny the fact that Jin and Kame, and KAT-TUN are one of the few hottest topics for fangirls worldwide? (and I did not imply that I liked them... this is just a FACT that I've been noticing)

oh! Its the charcter ofcourse but you couldnt also deny the fact that some Gokusen 1 fans only watch that bcoz of the Arashi guy and some other characters they're interested to watch.

Ratings are not accurate, they don't determine the popularity of the drama...the ratings only determines roughly how many people are interested in the drama at that time, it does NOT determine the popularity overall...

I can understand why more people were interested in part 2 than part 1...firstly, the casts are more "good-looking", so they certainly would attract more people, then adding the audience who watched part 1, it's understandable part 2 had more people watching...but that still does NOT mean it's more popular than part 1, it only means that more people were watching part 2 when it was airing...besides, there are also people out there who are only just starting to watch part 1 at the moment, and the ratings were only estimated in japan at the time of broadcast (which is like back in 2002?), who knows how many people have watched part 1 since then! there are many people in other countries who have watched this drama too, and some have only just started...I know alot of people who actually watched part 2 BEFORE part 1, many of them said that although they watched part 2 first, they prefer part 1! so who knows how many people around the world prefer either parts? understand what I mean? we don't know for sure which part is more popular.

And it's true that there are audiences who do watch this mainly because of the casts, but usually, as they watch more, they gradually learn to appreciate and love the storyline as well

partly because it had Akame in it (realli love Jin in it!!)
but i also thought there was quite some emotional moments

but i dont think im gunna like Gokusen 1 if i watched it because i dont like Jun very much soooo...

I find it very unfair of u to vote when u have only watched part 2...even though u don't like Jun, and think that u are not gonna like it, but how would u know if u don't watch it? u never know, maybe u will turn out to like part 1? I was the same, before I watched part 1, I never really liked Jun either, but after I watched it, my views on him changed completely! His portrayal of his character and his acting skills really amazed me! He was really good as 'Sawada Shin'! It wasn't long before I became a fan of his! u never know, maybe u will turn out to like him too! If u don't watch part 1, then how would u know? I really think u should watch part 1! Blind assumptions are pointless!

Who really think that Gokusen 2 has 'more goodlooking cast' when they started watching the series? I dont find Kame goodlooking and Jin the very first time I watch it. And the other 3 guys? I mean the other 2 were short.

Some who watched 2 got curious whats w/ Gokusen 1 so its only fair to say that both series benefitted each other.

And lastly statistics showed result whether its accurate or not you couldnt change it.

Lastly~You called for Gokusen fans. Either its 1 or 2 it doesnt matter, since loads here 's like trying to put down Gokusen 2.

Well everyone has different opinions, most people feel that the casts of part 2 were more good looking, so it was only fair I took that into consideration...also, I DID call for all Gokusen fans, however it seems at the moment there are more fans here who actually prefer part 1 than part 2...we are all merely just voicing our own opinions here, and if there are more supporters of part 1 here, then it's only natural there would be some negative talks of part 2. I don't think all this negativity about part 2 was intentional; I guess some of us might've gotten carried away...I do apologize if there are any G2 fans who were offended by the negative comments, but we are all just voicing our own opinions here. We can only be accounted for our own opinions, so I'm merely just voicing my own, I'm not responsible for the opinions of others.

As for the ratings, everyone has different intakes on it...I personally believe the ratings are not important and they don't prove much at all about the popularity or the quality of the dramas themselves...I know some dramas had very low ratings when they were being broadcasted, but up till now, they still managed to win the hearts of many and become very popular, and vise versa...let's take 2 dramas for example; Mars and White Robe of Love; both are taiwan dramas, when 'Mars' was broadcasted in taiwan, it only had a rating of at least 0.25 (which is very low in taiwan), while WROL had a much higher rating, but up till now, 'Mars' has always been the more popular drama of the 2, despite the ratings; WROL was quite popular, but only in taiwan, while 'Mars' is VERY popular all around asia, it was even aired on american tv, and has been re-broadcasted several times in asia! this just proves that the ratings do NOT determine the popularity...it's really quite irrelevant to consider the ratings when u are looking for drama recommendations...high ratings does NOT guarantee a good quality drama, sometimes more people watch it because they simply just like the casts.

Just to clear things up, I was merely just trying to explain how irrelevant and distrustable ratings are...we were both trying to explain different things here; u were providing basic explanations about ratings and statistics, while I was just trying to voice my own opinions on the issue. Besides, this has NOTHING to do with Gokusen, so plz let's just concentrate on the topic here, and stop with all the talk about ratings and statistics, it's un-related.

No it's NOT related to Gokusen, because what we "discussed" was NOT a comparison between the ratings of both parts, we were "discussing" about ratings in general; and that is NOT related to Gokusen.

There are people out there who love one part, but not the other...either u prefer part 1 or 2, as long as u love it and continue to support it, then that is what matters

My sentiments exactly. I watched Gokusen 2 before Gokusen 1 and still I totally prefer 1 to 2. Its not so much about Matsumoto Jun and Oguri Shun (although they're good eye-candies) but more of the chemistry between "Shin" and "Yankumi" and the storyline. Well, I have to admit that while Teppei is quite kakkoi...I don't feel anything towards Akame...but that's not why I prefer 1 over 2!!! It more to do with the storyline. Gokusen 2 would be a good dorama, in my opinion, if there wasn't a Gokusen 1 with which it has very little link to. I guess that's what made me little disappointed with Gokusen 2.

And I watched them just this year.

yeah this is a good series and the anime is good also, i liked the first one better thought.

i like the story of gokusen 1 and their group but i like all the guys in gokusen 2.

i liked Gokusen 1 because of Shin, Shinkumi!!~ And the crazy antics of the Shirokin 3-D! So cute! (>w<) This is the very first jdorama i watched and it got me really addicted to jdoramas and it opened the door to my fangirling. (Before, i never fangirl-ed) And it introduced me not only to the Jap Entertainment world, but also to the Jpop scene! So...i love it!

Well, in Gokusen 2, I also love it. Even though i haven't finished it yet...But i liked Gokusen 2 because of the fact that it stuck to the manga's storyline. (^w^) yup...(but it didn't have Shin though)...and i also liked the way Yukie acted here...it was somewhat different from G1...it got better, i guess. () and i also liked Kame...bec. of his introverted nature...much like Shin's.

ehh....so, I love both!! ~<3

I liked Part 1 better. Part 2 seemed like a desperate attempt to find people similar to the characters in Part 1.

The chemistry in Part 1 seemed more genuine and it had its good places for laughs, especially Shin. Yankumi is so adorable, but I think it stretched her too thin into the second part. Gotta go with the first.

both gokusen 1 and 2 are really well-done. both had interesting cast. people keep talking about the hot guys (not that they aren't part of the interest--quite the contrary), but i think yukie nakama's great acting really pulled both dramas together. <3~

I hope to have gokusen 3.... where Matsumoto Jun and other cast will be reunited....

I too hope there will be a part 3, but ONLY if they bring back Sawada Shin and the rest of the gang (Uchi, Kuma, Noda & Minami)! Otherwise part 3 just isn't worth watching

This was the first on-screen thing I've seen of Jin and Kame. After watching this, I found out about KAT-TUN. Man, I'm so addicted to Jin now!!! Even though he's on haitus, I'll still support him and wait for his return.

Anyway.. speaking about Gokusen, I just started re-watching this serie yesterday.. part 2 that is !!

For me : Gokusen 1 . When I watch gokusen 2 , it's a litle bit boring !! That's why I prefer the 1st, more funny, I really like Jun Matsumoto in it ^^

I love both of the Gokusens,because i seen the anime to the first one and because Jun Matsumoto is in the drama,and Gokusen2 made me cry one because Kame got beat up by those bad people.>.<But i just love Jun and Kame.lol

I loved both parts~!!! I prefer Part 2 though because it was funny and I laughed a lot while watching it. And it has Jun and Teppai (or something like that). I loved the insert song by Jun!!!! He's a good singer... ur both Jun (KAT-TUN) and Teppai (WaT) are good singers.

eh.. haven't watched Gokusen 2 yet so i can't pass judgement at the moment. But in terms of cast, i would choose Gokusen 1. ><

i liked gokusen 1 better.. probably since i thought it was sweeter and oguri shun was in it! i kinda forgot who was in the second season though X: i think i gave up on it cuz the cast was different, but i do remember watching it. though both were cute..

I heard season 3 is confirmed and will be released later this yr or sometime next yr...but sadly, there'll be NO Sawada Shin!
season 2 was already disappointing enough for me...I really can't imagine how season 3 will turn out for me! >.< I'm still reluctant to watch it...normally I could care less about it cuz I hate the idea of a sequel without Shin! But I just can't help but be curious of who they'll cast in the 3rd installment.

It was really funny to see Jin act all cute, especially with all the "Nya!" and the little peace-finger thing.

But Gokusen 1 is the original and I liked it too and at first I was scared to watch 2 because it wouldn't be the same without Shin-Uchi-Noda but I found myself liking 2.

Cus I REEALLY love Kame-chan! (: His birthday is the 23rd of Feb, which is tomorrow (where I am).

I prefer the very first Gokusen. aside having Jun Matsumoto there, the story has more impact on me than the second one. the pull on the 2nd one is rather weak because you're not suprise with the plot anymore and everything seems to be really predictable. in other words, their selling a not so fresh product anymore.

story wise - i love gokusen 1 coz right after watching it ~ gokusen2 is predictable ~
but what i love about Gokusen2 were the character AKAME!!!
i also love matsujun!!!!
