I am watching it, but what's Myolie saying with Ray when they were hugging? I really want to know!

I love episode 10, Myolie did a wonderful job in both scenes with Raymond and the one with Selena. I felt sorry for a young girl like Ji Kwai, cant blame the girl, she must be miserable now she knew everything about her sad past . Rayolie's scenes are so sweet and touching.

Myolie's acting was so good esp. through her eyes, I can feel her pain, her sadness, poor girl.

Episode 10:

Yes! We get to see them hug twice in this episode. In the first scene, Myo was hugging Ray pretty tightly and crying on his shoulder. Good crying skills, by the way. In the other scene, I like how it was just the two of them standing by the river, with the music playing in the background. The part where Myo says, “No matter what happens, I know you will always be by my side protecting me” was very sweet. She feels so safe with him. But, it’s just too bad she hasn’t developed any romantic feelings for him yet.

That was soooo cute, wooow they really have many hugging scenes too! let me see... they have few kissing scene, a bed scene, a lot of crying scene I think and hugging scenes...

I see Rayolie interactions! Actually there was this photo that evodrift posted in Selena's thread that shows Ray stealing a glance at Myolie even though there were one person in between them..aww Ray misses Myolie!

Yes that is Melissa, I guess cause Myolie has another function to go, she left half way during the promotion to go to another function though.

Bleh the promo was not what I had in mind....Rayolie didn't even take one decent picture together ALONE! And yet they are suppose to be a couple in the series. I personally felt that the whole promo was about tai chi, I know I know, the series is about tai chi so of course right? Still beside tai chi, the pairings play a big part in the series too!

Man, I'm sitting here, just feeling the amount of activities cause by this TVB story, even from us fans of Raymond and Myolie, Melissa, and Selena. I could just imagine the amount of energy surrounding the people involved. If the stars and starlets could stirs so much emotion, either from us or by the stars and starlets themselves, imagine how much energy around the story itself? It could probably last months after this story ended. We would still be talking about it for a long time to come. I wonder why?

I can't get enough of this couple while watching Tai Chi! I love all their scenes together! They are good at their chemistry, and I can feel that Raymond's character is starting to fall for Myolie's. Can't wait for another function of these two.

I'm finding Rayolie the best recent couples of Ray's (within the past 2 years) so yeah, really good. I hope Myolie chooses Ray and not the other dude in Tai Chi. Something is wrong with Myolie's character- why not choose the Prince Charming and go for that idiot? Tsk Tsk.

Rayolie has a very special sibling chemistry from Golden Faith.

Yeah, I think all Rayolie fans wished Ji Kwai would choose Hiu Sing instead of that crazy horse... but it's not gonna happen -.-" It's just the way her character is written.

Golden Faith is a great series, and the chemistry between Gallen, Raymond and Myolie was really special. I wonder if Rayolie will ever play siblings again?

Yeah, agree that Tai Chi is really good , from all the clips, videos.

I was trying to rent the DVD from the TVB designated outlets but was told that all the sets ( 9 in total) have been rented out and Tai Chi is very popular ( at least in Singapore) and many customers have been asking for it....

From the storyline to casts all round, I think it is a fairly good series, hence surprise that it continue to fair such poor ratings of 28 points. Being a great fan of Myolie and having never to miss any of her series, I think she performs the BEST in Tai Chi, playing a different role altogether. However, the ratings definitely does not reflect satisfactory results. Tai Chi so far has the worst of ratings comparatively to all Myolie's series, which does well so far. Hence, am having trouble reconciling the above....probably my taste is unique , i guess.

Her last series that I watch was of course WOIL 2 which I must admit was a disappointment to me. If not for Myolie, I probably have given up at the 1st episode. However, as a fan, I am very happy for her that it has explosive ratings of over average 34 points and peaking at even 42 points during the finale. Gathered Hong Kong viewers have very different taste! This is the only explanation I can find at this moment....LOL

^ yycd - Don't worry too much about the ratings It's something which we can't control, and good ratings doesn't not necessarily mean good series (it just means better chance in getting an award at the end of the year).

But as long as you enjoy the series yourself, then hey, who cares about the ratings?

Hmmm. I don't think they were expecting Tai Chi to do well in HK anyway. Apparently martial arts dramas aren't that big in HK?

For me Rayolie is truly a couple who have great chemistry on and off screen. I mean, I don't think they are dating (though I wish they would ahaha), but they are always complimenting each other, and they are so sweet. On screen, they just bring out the best acting in each other. Both in light-hearted scenes, but most importantly in more angsty scenes, which are generally harder to do. This is probably the main reason why I love them.

In Tommy Leung's series Myolie and Ray always act together like in GF, SL, TC, TDOL...and in their series together they always win any award... Myo won Most Improve Actress Award in GF, GF also won best serie in 2002, Ray won Most Improve Actor Award in SL, TDOL won Best Promotional Clip... and let's see would Tai Chi win any awards? I dun think so :S

^ Seems unlikely. TVB gives awards based on ratings, and unless Tai Chi's ratings increase tremendously, I don't think it'll get any awards.

Tommy Leung is like the matchmaker for Rayolie.

They also collaborated in Eternal Happiness, and that series didn’t win any awards. But, I don’t think that was one of Tommy Leung’s productions.

^Yep. Doubt it'll win awards. But what does it matter? Thanks to Tai Chi I now have many new (and incredibly memorable) Rayolie scenes to watch.

Also, I don't hold high hopes for the ratings either. But it's good enough to know that people on the internet are generally receving it well. And SingKwai romance. I think even if people don't like them as a couple, they definitely watch out for them. They make for good entertainment.



I agree! Hope he continues to support them like this. He's got a good eye (and it's not just for the pairings either).

Lets all hope that Tommy Leung will make produce another series with our Rayolie in it as a pairing in these few years! Tommy Leung truely know how to give Myolie good roles to act in and of course how can we forget his most important role as our Rayolie match maker!

I'm kind of glad that after Eternal Happiness, I didn't really pay attention to TVB until early this year (when I remembered Rayolie out of the blue), I don't think I have the patience to wait for just a little bit of news/clips/pictures.

I really hope Tommy Leung would cast Rayolie in one of his upcoming series. And this time, instead of having one of them crushing the other one, why not make them both love each other already? This way, we can have more Rayolie scenes. lol Really wish Tai Chi could win something.

siaoliao: Hi, hi. I love reading your analysis of SingJwai in Tai Chi. Anyway, to answer your question, I usually busy myself with another pairing or just rewatch them over and over again. lol. But like you, ever since Eternal Happiness and Survivor's Law, I've forgotten about my love for them until The Drive of Life rolled around last year. lol. And then, I remember how much I love them.

However, when Rayolie is absent on screen, I would enjoy Boscolie, Samolie, Ronolie and other -olie pairs. lol

Maybe because unrequited love is more interesting when a couple is together already. XD Hmm..maybe if they have a close-friends-become-lovers thing then we could have the best of all worlds. I wish Tai Chi could win something too! But the chances are slim.

LOL, how did we end up surviving from 2003-2006 without any Rayolie series?

All I remember was religiously reading Rayolie fanfics to fill up time... I still remember Kiki sis's "Don't Worry I'm Here For You" (?) as my first Rayolie fanfic that I read at winglin. I think the only way Rayolie fans congregated together was via Rayolie fanfics' comments pages, LOL.

It was not until early 2006 when Rayolie Hideout started was there a place for Rayolie fans to get together and discuss the couple. Even then, it took a while for it to be "established", and luckily Rayolie started filming Tai Chi at that time, so we had updates.

After Tai Chi ends, I guess we'll have to go back to rewatching/re-reading past Rayolie series/news/fanfics. I have a feeling it'd be another 3 years till Rayolie films a series together again, considering TVB never really intended to promote them as a couple.

Yeeb, I think when Tai Chi end, Ill re-watch:
1) SL 1, can watch it 100 times but not get bored of it
2) TDOL [ep. 39-44] but maybe I'll watch the whole serie!
3) maybe Golden Faith, long time no watch it...

like Hkangel said maybe they'll film a serie together after 3 years, 2011 ? but I hope sooner maybe 2009-2010 ? So everyone ! LET'S WAIT !! I think I got back to Rayolie in the beginning of 2006 when I realize that Raymond is the best on and offscreen guy for Myolie LOL. Luckily at that time, TVBSquare.com opened their forum and the Rayolie thread started. Then there was tai chi which brought more Rayolie moments.

If you want to read some good Rayolie fanfic then you got to read Kylie sis. Too bad she is busy lately so she didn't update her current Rayolie fanfics.

Oh cool. So interesting learning the history of the Rayolie thread at tvbsquare and everything. Okie, haven't been to winglin for a long while, but the fics you recommend sound good. And I love reading fics! I was actually wondering if Rayolie fics existed since they are such an unfavoured pair. But now I know it ain't the case.

If I get utterly starved I might start writing my own, but so far I'm a one-shot fic sort of person. I really look up to people who can write multi-chapter fics.

I only started liking when Rayolie when pictures of them in TDOL started rolling in cause they look so sweet and cute together. Yeah reading fanfics are a good way to keep off Rayolie-starvation. I seriously doubt Rayolie will pair up again since they have been paired up three times and most couples don't even go beyond two but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Some of these fics are absolutely amazing...

Elmo recently finished a short Rayolie Christmas one ( http://winglin.net/fanfic/elmo/ ), and it was absolutely beautifully written. I remember reading during Christmas time and the atmosphere was just perfect.

Of course, Kiki sis wrote a lot of really nice Rayolie ones too... her Don't Worry I'm Here For you ( http://www.winglin.net/fanfic/purple_star ) was the fic that made me realise there are actually Rayolie fans out there, LOL. Kiki also collaborated with Serendipity sis and wrote Rayolie Love, which was like a real life account of Rayolie's offscreen moments - it is soooooo sweet, coz they made it into a "Be My Guest" episode with Stephen Chan and Rayolie as the two guests. And oh gosh, Kylie sis's fanfics have always been fabulous.
