in each couple, there's like a powerful voice that complements very well with the softer one.... like ray's deep voice matches with linda's higher pitched voice, myolie's confident voice matches with bosco's more meek voice, and bernice's lower and stronger toned voice matches mo's

but instead of complementing, personally, I think 2 capable voices together can do much more....

TVB recently has arranged their management artists Linda Chung, Kate Tsui, Myolie Wu, Bosco Wong, Ron Ng etc to sign contracts with various music companies. Linda with Star Entertainment (星娛樂), Myolie with Neway, Kate and Ron with 恆藝亞洲. They have planned Linda Chung to enter the music industry with a new female idol image.

TVB executive manager Virginia Lok revealed that they are still under negotiation. In terms of whether or not her artists will be stolen away, she expressed that she only wants to help artists to further develop their various skills and market. When Virginia was asked if TVB artists are in an advantage to win music awards, she believes that everything only depends on their capability.

Stars Entertainment's (星娛樂) executive officer revealed that they are planning to have Linda Chung to give a 玉女 image since there isn't much out there in the market. He also praises Linda Chung's singing skills and her diligence. He wants to further develop her.

Neway's Sales Director admitted that they have signed music contract with Myolie Wu and that they are preparing to help Myolie produce a single in the next half year, "Out of all female artists, she's one of the better ones in singing. She has potential to sing a wide range of music." In terms of whether management artists tend to have higher tendency to win musical awards, he stressed, "That really depends on the artists' capability and competence, both Myolie and Virginia are planning to open a variety of market." The Director of 恆藝亞洲 revealed that everything was still in the progress of negotiation, they will go public as soon as everything is finalized.

I still think Myolie needs to polish her singing though... esp. in terms of singing live. She's got one of the most beautiful voices, but she needs to learn how to control that voice first. Practice is probably the key, but she'll need some time off so she can focus on singing. I hope TVB will let her do that, but that means less Myolie series for 2009.

Ray is successful because he's consistent when singing live. I want Myo to be the same.

Myo's still a bit inconsistent when she sings live, so I guess we can't just point out Linda here. Actually, most TVB artistes can't really sing live (personal opinion only) except for those who actually WERE singers.

Basically JSG awards are rigged so I'm not surprised that either Myolie or Linda will get the award but if nobody booed her when she gets it, it's probably a sign that she deserves it. Other than that, this year newcomer females aren't really good (so far). Even without her album, I can say that her singing in "Fortunately" is better than them.

It's funny how Myolie has duetted with most of her male co-stars EXCEPT Raymond, but Ray has collaborated with her 5 times already. We've had Ronolie, Boscolie, Andolie, Vinolie and even Gallolie coming up if the rumours are correct about When Dogs Love Cats themesong.

Might have even more stronger female newcomers, we may never know. Also Joyce Cheng might be debuting this year, singing TSOL's themesong and GOL's subthemesong. So I'm predicting that TVB will be in dilemma over who to give the Best Female Newcomer Gold...haha...*sending psychic waves to TVB* MYOLIE!

Yeah, TC seems to be so underpromoted. The irritating about Nat is that he's not close to Boscolie so whenever he teases them (albeit showing his support for them), it will look like he is just teasing them to 'go with the flow' since everyone is teasing them. Really? They are like...the most recent Rayolie-ness! I was really disappointed with TDOL cos they didn't get good ending. But I thought Ray's character doesn't deserve Myolie falling for him. I was REALLY looking forward to Tai Chi but yeah I felt so sorry for Ray's character here (without revealing too much plot) and I do agree that well, maybe this series filmed a while ago but was warehoused, but Myolie's acting exaggerated a bit too much. Should watch Tai Chi for Ray, his crying skills uped a notch.

I watched it too long ago to remember the Rayolie episodes. Yeah I agree it's too much effort to watch 60eps for Rayolie when there's mainly Charray. Try Tai Chi first maybe...at least that's all Rayolie.

I don't know but it seems that it is something to be laughed about. I wonder did they say anything about it in interviews?

LOL, you gals are absolutely right - in TDOL, you'll feel sorry for Bing Yee, while in Tai Chi, you'll feel sorry for Hiu Sing. It's a role reversal (Rayolie fans have a feeling it's all planned out by Tommy Leung and especially casted Myo to be Bing Yee so Ray can have his "revenge" after Tai Chi, LOL, since TDOL was filmed AFTER Tai Chi even though it ended up airing before it).

Rayolie's story in Tai Chi is really bittersweet and tragic - you really gotta have the mental strength to see Hiu Sing crying over Ji Kwai for about 19 eps. before you get to see some Rayolie sweetness. TDOL is much more light-hearted, but then you feel sorry for Bing Yee for most of the show >_<

And yes, Rayolie did complain about how much they had to cry in Tai Chi in one of their on-the-set interviews. I think I posted the transcript somewhere in this thread, LOL... Ray also teased Myo about how silly she was to fall for Mo Ma (Vincent Zhao) rather than him, hehehe...

As for more Rayolie collaborations in the future - I think our only hope (well my hope) would be for Rayolie to attend some music functions together this year - that's only if Myo really releases a single this year. I don't think Rayolie will have any series together in the near future... it's usually a 3 year gap before they play a couple again

Yeah, Rayolie has two bittersweet storyline out of the four times they worked together (EH, SL, TDOL and TC) and TC have enough bittersweetness to fill like two series? oh talking about music collabs, I reckon they might sound good in a duet because Myo has a deep voice to match Ray's....I personally think Ray's voice doesn't compliment too much with high pitched onces like Vincy and Linda. I think his voice is too....'rich'? I dunno how to describe it but if the other voice isn't 'full' enough it doesn't really 'match' in my opinion. Think voices with a fuller female voice would be like Bernice, Myo and despite Tavia can't sing (due to technique) but if you say just voice, yeah like these match Ray more. So yeah...it's a possibility hopefully.

Bernice has a powerful voice but the songs she was given are pretty much in the safe, low range so we don't know for sure. I may be biased because I'm still wowed by Myo's performance in "Fortunately". I can't exactly imagine how a Rayolie duet will go but I think it will be nice because Myo can reach the high notes (Ray can go amazingly high). One rich voice plus a 'shrill' one will surely go nicely.

Haha, actually I'm still waiting for a series where Rayolie actually likes each other earlier on in the series... it's either Myo liking Ray (EH/TDOL), or Ray liking Myo (SL, TMOTC), or neutral (GF). Tai Chi is the most bittersweet, and SL is the most light-hearted. It depends on what kind of series you like.

As for a Rayolie duet - I can't guarantee that it'll turn out good since I've never heard them sing together before, but at least give them a chance, TVB! Rayolie might have a function together in Macau (?) on the 11th June, so hoping for chances...

Hmm...I never thought Myolie has a high pitched voice...from watching stuff like Lady in Red, she has a deeper voice but yes indeed more 'powerful' and her vocal is stronger than say Linda and Vincy. Not to say Vincy isn't good because she is...just in terms of matching with Ray's voice it's not so good in my opinion.

Without even watching the show, I felt so sweet that Bing was willing to go through the difficulties with Pong and rebuild the car factory. *sigh* They were so close to getting married but Pong just have to see Fung. It just shows that TC was so underpromoted cause TDOL have lot's photos out even though Rayolie ended up together in TC.

I think someone once mentioned that Vincent's voice is quite like Raymond's, so if you listen to Vinolie's duet you could get a good idea of how a Rayolie duet would sound like. Personally I think Vincent's voice is a bit higher, but yea, it's a nice gauge.

Yah, Vincent's voice is pretty similar to Fung but I think Fung's voice is deeper. The Vinolie duet is quite good, so I think the Rayolie duet may satisfy our ears.

Golden Faith really has more rayolie moments than I first imagined. Really. So far I've only capped one episode, and they were only on for the last 10 minutes or so.
