I think they are all ugly for being Miss Chinese International. i've noticed that the beauty pageant is getting more ugly people every year...what happened to all the pretty ppl out there? good thing that they aren't showing off their beauty though...bc sometimes when I think of a beauty pageant, I just think that they just think that they are the prettiest girl and just want to show it off and win something for their beauty....at least be pretty!

i really don't know what is wrong with you guys...but i think this years contestant were better than last year. serena wang is pretty...aimee chen is pretty....the 2nd contestant are pretty too, including toronto......it'll be funny...if sooner u guys turn into this years winner fans

hmm yeah, this year is not the greatest... but sometimes it depends on the photo and make up as well~ but at least they had the courage to participate in the competition. They are confident about how they look, and now thats another type of beauty

I like Miss HK, she is very sweat and Miss Bangkok is beautiful , looks like Amelia Vega (Miss Universe 2003)

They are all ugly for the most part. It's been like this for the past several years. All the pretty looking girls like those in tvb came from like 10 years ago and can't find any like them now.

i think sierra from new york and susanna(vancouver) might win miss international 2007. they're both very smart and elegant.

I think you all are just judging the girls by the looks of their internet pictures. If so, I do agree with some of you that they are not as good looking as u think.

But see if you have a chance to meet them in person, you will change your mind that they are ugly. In fact, they are pretty good and nicer to look in person.

I have seen Ms Sydney, Singapore, Thailand, New York, HK, etc in person....hey...i ms hk and thailand just look pretty average.

Ms New York is super tall for sure....

So just enjoy the beauty show and stop complaining on how ugly or whatever...

agree that most of them are ugly (standard seems to have dropped) but there's some that i find pretty. that one from bangkok and sydney's not so bad. but ^true, we shouldn't just judged them by the outside, but also by the inside. however, it's hard for us because majority tends judge by the looks first, then the inside of a person.

It's quite dissapointing to read your disparaging comments. Judging by your names and how most of you write your e-mails (ie. poor grammer, impropper spelling), I'm guessing that the majority of you are of Asian descent. (Gosh, I hope you FOBS writing those comments know what 'Disparaging' means!)

Where is your support and pride for the girls who represent your race???

Are you that insecure with YOURSELF that you have to publicly put down others who have worked so hard and given up so much for this pageant? It takes alot of gumption (For the FOBS: Gumption means Courage) to put yourself out there and compete. These girls don't just compete on looks and height (which I'm assuming most of you don't have much of). They also compete in areas of intellect, talent, grace and confidence. I'd like to see YOU get up in front of hundreds of thousands of people and answer questions on live television!

I have to disagree with you that all of the contestants are ugly. For example, Yvonne was on the cover of Maxim Singapore AND Hong Kong. Unless I'm mistaken, Maxim doesn't usually showcase 'Ugly' girls in their magazine.

Wow, most of you are just downright mean. Contrary to what most of you think, I actually think this year has a pretty decent batch of girls! In fact, I believe its going to be a pretty tough competition. If you disagree, then I urge you to read other forums as that's what everyone else outside of this forum thinks. While "notafob" was a little harsh with his/her comments, there are good points made in those comments. Some of the comments notafob quoted sound like they were spoken out of envy and bitterness. Might I remind you guys that the girls competing in MCI were title winners in their respective cities, so evidently they all possess qualities that stood out from their competitors. I'm talking about qualities beyond exterior beauty! Anyway, that's just my two cents.

Miss Rotterdam reminds me of Annie Chang, San Francisco's rep in 2005.

Personally, I think Johannesburg is overrated. She's quite pretty but I don't think she would be receiving so much attention if it wasn't for her sister.

I'm hoping to see better looking photos of Vancouver as the ones thus far aren't that great.

Definately getting worse by the years..these girls looks pretty bland and not tastefully beautiful. I have not watch beauty pagent for ages because it not the same anymore as its less interesting now.

I totally agreed with you mizunderstood. They are getting uglier ><,which is dissapointing including some of the stuff they do. What happened to the good old time pretty girls.

However there are still some that are pretty, thank god.

hmm, miss KL doesn't look that suitable for HK tastes, she's dubbed extremely unlikely to win...

but from your photos, she's got a special kind of beauty. Is she tall? I think she'd make a very good model she's got very strong facial features to support her look. But I definately don't think she will win the pagent, I still think Aimee looks best.

Not everyone is photogenic. Geesh. These images are pretty poor in quality anyway. I'm sure they look much better than that. And of course, it's not just looks that count. There are such things as body proportion, personality, grace, intelligence, etc. I think Miss Calgary or whatever has elegance. I hope she'll be in Top 3. Of course I would root for Aimee since HK needs to get the crown again someday. Miss Malaysia isn't bad either.

I love the one from Taipei. She was the only one who seemed natural and not made up....really caught my attention...^-^Anyone know her name? I hope she wins or gets into the top three with Aimee.

OMG, Miss HK's muscles are scary. Admirable but scary. Well, firstly I disagree that's they're ugly because if one were to judge ugly by these contestants' appearances, then quite a portion of the world would indeed be classified 'ugly'. In any case, yes, they aren't as ideally 'beautiful' as audiences would hope, but that simply justifies the fact that winners are now supposed to be valued on criteria that emphasises intelligence as much as outer beauty. In any case, if I were to comment on the quality of contestants, it would be on the fact that they have amazing bodies. It's extremely difficult to achieve 34 24 34 these days.

Didn't think anyone else noticed it! I think she's just too thin. She would look better if she had a bit more meat on her arms but kept them toned.
