What's the most disappointed TVB series you ever seen? For me it was Guts of Man, I waited months for that series and when I finally watch it, it was horrible. Sammuel Chan, Ron Ng and Mandy Cho disappointed me, especially Mandy Cho, no offense to her fans but she was horrible in this series. She got the looks but I'm not sure about the talents. I'm so glad she had improve though.

hmm...for me is probably to grow wif love...like the characters r alright, but the storyline is kinda weird...all because of some flower painting thing, myolie thinks that whoever put a handprint is her soul mate or wateva...its kinda weird if u get me...and andy choosing over claire...hmm...and the most weird bit was wen andy lost his memory and myolie is tricking him and stuff...like i dunno wat im saying but its just weird...but i do feel sorry for myolie...gaining so much weight to film in a series like that and she didnt even get any awards lol

Dance of passion I think its called, I got so bored with it I stopped downloading after three episodes. It was boring and confusing!

Revolving Doors of Vengeance is a series that I was quite dissapointed with, I thought it was going to be this highly dramatic series with a fresh plot but it turned out to be lackluster.

I was disappointed with glittering days. I enjoyed the beginning very much. Then towards the end, it just went downhill.

For me it was Always Ready. This series was very disappointing for me. It was so boring and nothing interesting. It didn't focus on anything such as comedy or drama. Didn't even finish watching it.

it was to grow with love, so much expectations but..the series completly sucked..oh and same with dance of passion..

I think that the only tvb series that I couldn't bear to watch was Guts of Man. The acting in it was so horrible. I kept on hoping that the episode would end when watching the first 5 minutes. I saw a couple of episodes, and after a while, I decided not to watch it. I also think that the Gentle Crackdown wasn't that great.

To Grow with Love I heard wasn't that great. They said Myolie makes fat girls feels weird and depressed. I didn't even finish Always Ready..fell asleep in the first few episodes..Always Ready is basically about them saving people over and over again..not very interesting. The only thing they really focused on is Charmaine Sheh losing her memory and regaining it and Linda Chung afraid to be alone. Nothing very interesting.

dance of passion. it got so boring. there was nothign interesting happening. i got up to chapter 15 and stopped.

i also found grow with love disappointing esp. after knowing all the hype that had surrounded this series. Although the first have was alright, i found the second half really badly done and it ruined the series for me.

I also found Dance of Passion quite disappointing - but i guess it was because it was far to complicated for me.

Definitely TGWL! It's the worst one TVB had done so far! Poor storyline, wrong casts, bad character sketches........!

Class of Distinction with Leon Lai, that one got me in the guts, ultra disappointing and boring.

I think guts of man is not so good after all.....its like a remake of twins of dragon. But this time....a much boring version

It wasn't as good as I expected plus i thought that kenix character was suppose to be evil but its not as evil as i thought which was very disappointing.

even though it's not done....it sucks..no offense but at the beginning it was ok...but then it statrs talking about how charmaine want to find roger and roger had to be a begger so boring...

To Grow With Love.. it was disappointing cuz it was so heavily promoted and yet it fell flat.. boring plot, uninteresting characters, bad acting.

Like many people had said: TGWL. All the big hype and weight gains for a below-average series with ridiculous plot, exaggerated acting etc...

The most disappointed TVB Series for me is Dicey Business because first of all i thought this series was supposed to be good because of the gambling and all but in the beginning it was really awful, with the veteran actors and actresses, this series is still not good because of the plot!

definitely to grow with love. i thought it wouldnt be that bad since everyone was so xcited to see myolie fat. i had a feeling that it wasnt gonna be that good since it was so over promoted. the plot was like retarded. didnt really make sense. its like a baby shw or something. she definitely doesnt deserve an award for that series. the series wasnt done during the awards but thank god tvb didnt give her the award. the series didnt really get any awards. i hopeher next series will be better.

i would have to say dicey business even thoug i m not done watching the whole serie.

i saw the trailers and they looked so intresting

the first couple of episodes were so funny with jessica as a gambler,but after that,the serie became a drama and no more funny parts

The ending for Ten Brothers was kinda stupid. I felt like the ending just took away the whole story.

The series just keep dragging on in the last few episodes. The storyline was pointlesss, the cast was weird.

i find most of the series disappointing. dicey business: kinda hilarious at the beginning, but in the later part, it gradually became like other series, boring hell. TGWL: The storyline was kinda crappy, even my mom was like, "Eww... story doesn't make sense." She wanted to stopped watching after a few epis.. but she watched too fast... lol.. no more shows for her. so she rented back the TGWL series to kill time. really disappointing. cast's ok. but the plot sux. it's sad that myolie had to waste time and effort to act in this meaningless and senseless series. Glittering days: beginning part was ok.. until the later part, it gets crappy and lengthy.

I felt disappointed with Glittering Days...the storyline doesn't have any meaning. The story starts out alright but then everything focuses on singing and the hatred directed towards poor Roger.

i was really disappoined with dance of passion. Like before it tvb had all those trailers and stuff and i was like sooo excited about it because it had like the best cast and the best producers/directors. But i watched like the first 10 episodes and i was bored already...then i gave up watching it!

All disappointments this year, no series got me hooked, same ol' boring plots and dull characters.

It's not just casting newbie actors/actresses that can't act anymore, BUT it's the really really bad writing! Look what they did to 'To Grow with Love', great potential ruined by such a horrible script.

For me it is Dance of passion. It has a cast of TVB who is who but the story is so boring.

Newbie??!! Ok did you actually watch it? Ok Jessica, Bobby and Michael they all had skills man, bet you must have missed it but whatever. And Tavia and Bosco were still being promoted so I dont blame them if they aren't at the best yet but I actually liked their acting in this, not bad. Plus some people say it doesn't have much gambling parts, but if you ppl really understood what's it talking about it is actually explaining the conflicts and people inside the casino. For people who are saying that DB was disappointing well that's pretty sad of you in my opinion.

I think the worst series in 2006 would be Dance of Passion and Revolving Doors of Vengence omg that was hell!, I found both of these series kind of boring.

For me I would name the ones in 2006... I mean like before, the series were great (well at least 85% of them were...) The series in 2006 and beyond was becoming disappointing and boring...

Like the most stupidest/boring/disappointing one would go to Into Thin Air.... I mean after YEARS, how can they find a shoe that was over 20 years? It was so stupid... I stopped in the middle part where they went to the grave and prayed... It showed a charcter who had died in series... What i mean is that it had a picture of another character that had died in the serie, and the picture was on the grave saying another name with another role (I forgot what role that person was and who she/he was...)

Another one is TGWL... Myolie had gained so much weight just for that serie... And that serie was horrible... The ending was so bad... The guy shouldn't had married Myolie. He should've married Claire... Bad scripts...

To Grow with Love was a bit disappointing, after the sacrifice that Myolie Wu had to go through, in terms of gaining weight. There wasn't anything really interesting in the plot.

TGWL was disappointing for me too. is was way overhyped, the storyline was so bad and myolie's character seemed so childish. it was such a crap series.

yes i agree... yes some of the script is not bad at the beginning but then when it reached a certain part the series become draggy and boring...

tvb should try tp create every single episode is not boring but full of excitement and the ending is not being too soon.

some series the ending is too rush like u know this bad person is going to die. During the whole series is so hard to get him to jail but then in the last episode he so easily being caught and sentence to jail.

My family watches TVB dramas a lot on tv so I occasionally drop by to watch stuff. So far, almost every TVB series has disappointed me. Most endings really suck. Plus, almost every drama I take interest in turns out crappy after a couple of episodes. Super super disappointing. Eg. To grow with love, Glittering Days (aka. In any case, I thought Revolving doors of vengeance and Dance of passion (Or w/e you call it) had good endings though. It's better than the lame same-old same-old endings at least..

That's not from TVB and speaking of effort, I don't think any TVB series can even compare to that series. That remake is one of the best Jing Yong remakes. The sceneries and fight scenes are almost movie quality.


Anyways back on topic. I would say guts of man is one of the most disappointing series I've watched. The whole series seemed so cheap and poorly produced, cast wasn't that great, storyline was weird, sceneries and costumes looked crap.

Everything from this year and the previous year. TVB just isn't the same anymore as it was in the late 90's, which was when I was at the peak of my fandom. Ah, the days of Jessica, Kenix, Maggie Cheung, Ada, Esther, etc. I grew up watching TVB with my family...but now we don't even do that anymore because the series these days are a waste of time. >.<

Dance of passion since i was looking forward in watching with a large cast especially ada choi except bowie. Watch the first two episode and man did it bored me and the colors was just a turn off for continue to watch it.

Most disappointing series? Hmm... whenever I think of disappointing series, I think about Lofty Waters Verdant Bow and Dance of Passion. LWVB because I watched so many commercial clips and trailers, loved the cast, loved the storyline, and anticipated watching the series. Then I watched it, and it was a big disappointment... it was a waste of the actors, the nice costumes, etc... it had a potentially decent storyline (although it reminded me of HSDS when the scenes came into play) but everything was put together in a very non-interesting way. I anticipated DOP and had great expectations for it because I absolutely loved War and Beauty... and then I found out they added Ada Choi into the series and I was even more overwhelmed... but then the series was just a bit boring when I actually watched it. WAB was full of action and great characters, but DOP was missing that spark WAB had despite it's well-rounded characters... so yup. Those two
