hrmz...i remeber watchin this a very LONG time ago....but i never finish watchin this series...because i remeber it was really LONG!!! Hehehe...at the end did Dayo fall in Love with that old chick that he alwways have fights with? ...i think remeber a sence...about the croachoes....BUt his series really vcracked me up~

yeah, i loved this series! it was hilarious...but then i got sick of it after watching it for the seventh time.

lol, i agree that the cockroach parts were great...espcially in the beginning when Dayo was looking for Siu Kerng under the bed and then Dodo saw the cockroach flying at his head...and then she took the vase or whatever and smashed his head with it. lmao. and when Dodo saw the cockroach on the floor and refused to go to work. and also when she got hit on by the lesbian! hahahaha.

i really wanna rewatch this series...but my store doesnt have it anymore..gosh ...i miss it...its such a funny series...dodo and dayo made a great team....

war of genders is quite funny, if this is the one where the dudes pet roach has a name. i believe a live play was made for this also, but it was no where as good as the series. After this series came out, everyone around me started referring to roaches as the name of the roach in the series.

O yea, I remember this series, it was really funny. I'm not really a big fan of the cast, but I guess they worked well together. The number of things that happen within the office is mad. A series that shows the gender's weak and strong points, and even when it is a weak point, they try their best to cover it up in whatever way they can in order to superseed the opposite gender. Marsha Yuen improved her chinese quite a lot, but haven't seen her onscreen for a long time since.

Yah, especially with his pet, siu keung (the crocroach). made me remember the one of part in the movie "tong pak fu" acted by stephen chau where he also have a crocroach with the same name.

Dodo is one of the best actresses and I think Dayo and her make a really good team (even though she is a lot older than he is).....hehe

everyone said this series was so funny but at times i just sat there with a blank face....maybe i should rewatch the whole thing again cause i never get to see the funny parts i guess but this series is so long

Haven't seen this series in a couple of years, but i do agree, its funny. HOwever, the ending was quite obvious that dodo and dayo would become a couple. I haven't seen dodo in a series recently though. ANe of u noe a series she's in?

I think this the only one as i can remember. it seems that she is more active in the movie industry. maybe i am wrong, as it seems she should have been started acting in tvb series before going to the movie industry as she is a miss hk also.

this show was hilarious! dayo is like the total opposite of doo doo and they get paired together...i think that makes a funny and great match..haha hope they will have war of the genders 2!

I watched every single episode of this series and some even twice - Virtues of Harmony isn't bad, but I think it really pales in comparison to War of the Genders. Although there is an age difference between Doodoo and Dayo, their 'comedic-ness' matched, so I didn't think it was too awkward. - too bad this series was only 100 chapters!!

the show is very funny... was previously wondering how the name Siu Keung came about before watching this show. Now everytime, i hear this name, i will start to laugh..hehehe.

War of Genders is definitely one of TVB most funniest ever series...OMG...Dayo Wang and Dodo Cheng did a fantastic job...Everytime they argue, I will sure laugh non-stop...War Of Gender rockzz...

This is such a funny TVB series as well! It's almost similar with Virtues of Harmony! I love when Dayo and Dodo fought along! HAHA, I just love series with quarelling and fighting each other!

Doyo Wong is a comedy actor that TVB have been found out lately ... they should figure out him before 1993 ...

But he make more money than play movie anyway ... A director producer ... have good job ...

War of Genders is a sitcom ala Vitues of Harmony, released in 2000 with 100 episodes of 20 minutes. The main cast include Dayo Wong, Dodo Cheng, Patrick Tang, Kingdom Yuen, Joyce Chen, Marsha Yuen etc.

I think that WoG is one of the best comedy TVB ever produced. The chemistry between both leads is just amazing. But you really need to understand Cantonese fluently to fully enjoy the bickerings and the jokes.

I also saw the play version as well. The most funny part is when Alex Pao (Lee Kwok Lun) says: "I'm merging my law firm with CK's and now it will be called 'PK' law firm." Haha!

Yah, dayo wong really perform well here which greatly explicits his potential acting in comedy series.

War of Genders was pretty funny. I want a War of Genders 2, hopefully as good as the first. Dayo's Siu Kerng made me laugh because of Dayo's actions and protection over siu kerng.

thsi is surely a funni series....but....it does have it's moments which are just utter stupidity. But a very entertaining show...made me laugh so mani times.

This was and is my favourite Hong Kong drama! It's among the most funny things I've seen and I loved both Dodo and Dayo. Especially Dayo actually, since he's one of the funniest comedians in his own dorky and "cheap" but hilarious way. The chemistry between them is actually good, which i find isn't as easy to find in TV-dramas as it may seem (now that I've watched a few).

Although I have never seen the ending but only the first 60 episodes ("only" lol) I can undoubtly say this is one of the funniest TV-shows out there!

at 1st it was highly anticipated in my tvb list but after watching a few episodes i kinda loose interest in it.
it was not very hilarious cos most of the episodes ideas r about the same & i don't like to c dodo cheng auntie style acting. her hands movement kinda disgusting (if u noticed it) & i found it she is fond to do it in other dramas or interview too.

it doesn't surprise me because it's a very good and funny serie! i think dat dodo and her partner have made a lot of effort to play in this serie because it's not very easy in this situation!

This series was long and funny. Dayo and Carol looked cute together. They both won an award. I hope to see them more in the upcoming series. It was funny when Carol stepped on a roach and Dayo went crazy. Carol is afraid of insects. Dayo said the roach is a friend of him and will not hurt Carol. She still freaks out.

i agree! it was pain to watch her, her expressions were so unnatural and the fact that her character was not likable wasn't much of a help either. the only highlight of the series was Dayo and Michael. =D

the uncatchable was better because Ada was an excellent supporting actress, not to mention the fact that Dayo was the main lead. but then, w/o War of Genders, i wouldn't have discovered the extremely talented Dayo until "uncatchable". lol
