I'm torn b/w Shin and Yul b/c they are both great...I dont know, maybe I need to watch more episodes to make my decisions

omg! me too! i have that same problem! but right now i'm kinda leaning towards shin just because i know they'll end up together in the end (it's kinda obvious) and also because i CAN'T stand yul's mom, grrr... she's such a biznatch! but i do feel sorry for yul cause he can't get the girl he wants AND his mom's a wacko.

i like both... omg.... but yul is such a cutie!!! pity him.... i wish i could clone another chaegyung and so, both will be happy... hehehee...

i think it should have been the other way around, i mean the one who plays the character of shin should have been the one who plays yul... just bcoz i think his much cuter thatn the other... hehe...

i like yool better than shin... if it is base on looks.. and i noe that in this series he's really kind but he has to avenge his father.. and his mother keeps on reminding him that!!! i dont like his mother shes so mean... i wonder y??? because i've only seen upto episode 8... huhuhu i noe im way behind u guyz!! thatz y i dunno y is his mother like dat!!

DEFINATELY YUL! He understands Chae Gyung than Shin..I hate Shin when he kissed with Hyorin in the airport...I'M A YUL CAMPER, althought I knew that Yul & Shin can never be together *sigh*

this is like starting a war here. but to me i would choose shin, dont know y. for look wise he lose to yul but he is just irrisitable not to like. yul dont have the that effect on me.

Yul has a sexier voice, but I really don't like the fact that he never goes for the girl with his actions. He's too passive. Also Shin is really not that bad once he gives up on Hyo rin and he's so cute with the crown princess!!!

I used to like Yul more frm the start but after watching a few eps , I've really grown to like Shin more , but Yul looks really gd when he dyed his hair back to dark color ~~

i like shin better than yul........ yul seems obsesses with chae gyung.........always trying to break her n shin up even though he knows that she likes shin.......if he like her, he should just try to help her instead of making things hard for her..........

i liked yul in the beginning, but as i watched more episodes, i noticed that his character becomes so vengeful and a little dark. maybe he did like CG in the beginning, but now it seems that his main goal is to get her...like she is a possession not a person. I dont know, that's just how he comes across now. I didn't know he could be so mean, ignoring her like that. but Shin on the other hand, is really growing on me. I think he's still confused about HR b/c she kept throwing herself to him. see she gives girls bad names! anywayz, now it seems that Shin really does like CG, or at least starting to develop feelings for her. I'm still only on episodes 8, but yea...I still hope that Yul end up with someone nice. He deserves it for all the hardships that he had to endure since his father's death. I agree with "xoluvya", Yul's mother is ~CRAZY@@! I'm surprised Yul turned out to be such a decent person with a mother like that

I haven't watched the whole series, but I know that Shin is suppose to end up with the girl. I wish it was Yul. Yul looks better with her. But i really hate his mom. at first i was hating on Shin's mom, then Yul's mom turned out to be the scary, crazy one!

Shin got that 'mysterious' and cold look to him which isn't bad at all. I wish he could smile more in GOONG, and when he does hehehe it's soooo cutee.

yul seems more sweet on the surface but then shin actually cares alot about chaegyung but then he does not show it as obvious. he is more rational and does not always support chaegyung's action bcos he grew up in the palace and so he knows the way things are run better than yul, as a result he seems more cold. yul is more self-centred and even though his love for chaegyung is really touching but then he should learn how to let go and let the two lovers be together

YUL!! after waching the last eps i really felt pity for yul..he was so sweet and all that...he likes CG so much although he knows that CG liks shin.seeing yul all sad cause of CG makes me want to cry..

i like yul over shin..be it the looks or the personality in the show..but i still like shin with CG....and yul can be with me..lol.

Shin for sure. He and Chae Kyung are perfect for one another! Yul is a nice guy (although he kind of got on my nerves towards the end), but he has to accept that CK will never be with him. I still haven't watched the last episode of this yet, lol. I'm kind of in denial that it's actually ending. Yay for season two!

i like yul in the beginning too but after a few episodes, i switch to shin probably because shin started to show more emotion and i didn't like yul being evil but in a way i do feel sorry for yul because no matter what he do, he can never have cg love

I think it's because I love the cold guys (who actually care deeply on the inside) like in ISwak I loved Zhi Shu over Ah Jin although both were good. Same with Goong, Yul and Shin are good, but I prefer Shin!

i just finished watching this series...so good! i think i have finally came to the conclusion that CG is better off with Shin. Although he seems cold and distant...deep down he does love her...as you all will see. He just isn't the type of person to express his feelings so freely...after all that was the kind of environment he grew up in. he cant even call his mother "mom" let alone express that he loves his wife. so it is understandable. however, i think as time passes, he learned to deal with his emotions better because CG was able to show him what it is like to love and care for someone other than himself. Although I do like Yul...my final vote is for SHIN!

Goong rocks! Can't wait for season 2...better be good...the cliffhanger is killing me

just finished goong.... n it was fantastic... i am a YUL camper from the start till the end... just love guys who are sweet, nice n self sacrificial... he really love CG loads.... shin is quite nice too but not quite my type cause sometimes he is really too harsh to CG.... anyway yul all the way... hope tt season 2 will show more of yul parts ... haha

If we're comparing Joo Ji-hoon ("Shin") vs. Kim Jung-hoon ("Yul"), I still choose Joo Ji-hoon. In my opinion, I do not think that Kim Jung-hoon can act. Throughout Goong, he has one expression: SADNESS. There seems to be something that weighs down his happiness. When he is happy, he doesn't seem happy. The way he portrays his character makes me hate Yul. I do not even pity him (Yul). He seems to be the weak and fragile guy who MUST have someone to make him happy. I, personally, do not believe that (more) happiness in one's life must be obtained by "needing" a girl/boyfriend. I am not the type of person who believes in "I cannot live without you."

At first i liked Yul... but later on the series i started to like Shin more... he is so cute with CG.. also because Yul's character got a bit obsessive and it was scary!

fell in love with yul at first sight. shin is better with the girl but totally LOVE yul better...even though from the beginning it was obvious that he cant have the girl.

in the first half of the show i was totally going for Yul and CG but after that i see how evil he became because of his deep love for CG, constantly telling her stuff about Shin that is not true to get her to give up on Shin, and also pressuring her into mentioning divorce in the interview...man that was it, i was piss at Yul for doing that...

Towards the end of the show i was going for Shin and CG, because everyone can see how much Shin loves CG and how much she means to him. he can't live without her, and can't even bear the thought of living in the lifeless palace without her...

But i think Yul is very cute and its so unfortunate that he is the victim of the love that he felt for CG, i would very much like him to be able to have a girl that he loves and loves him back...because he deserve a good girl...plus the only reason he turn bad was because he loves CG so much and he want to be with her so much.......thinking about it bring tear to my eyes...SOB

YUL pisses me off with his wussy character in the beginning, and makes me HATE him as the drama progressed with his despicable character, trying to steal his cousin's WIFE. IMMORAL, i say. who gives a damn if Yul loves CG?? SHE'S IN LOVE WITH HER HUSBAND AND HE'S IN LOVE WITH HER. Yet Yul continues to try and sabotage their relationship, always saying, "Shin's not right for you," "You'll never be happy," "Shin only likes Hyorin," "You don't fit Shin"...BLAH BLAH BLAH. Yul left Shin when the two were FIVE YRS OLD...and didn't meet up agains until 14 years later...WHAT GIVES YUL THE RIGHT TO SAY WHAT SHIN LIKES OR DOESN'T LIKE, WHAT FITS SHIN OR WHAT DOESN'T??? Yul may know CG, but definitely NOT Shin. I hate those types of people--judging others when you don't know crap. and acting as if he loves CG--hm, maybe he should try letting her be happy for once?? rather than telling her sh*t to confuse her (we all know she's densed). oh yea, Yul loves her SOO much, always there for her when she's sad just to tell her, "get a divorce" ...with the man she loves. OH MAN, so sexy. yea right.

***um, so yea. ..SORRY to the YUL-CAMPERS..but i hate that character...and this paragraph of mine--i'd say it's euphemistic. i'd love to get nasty, but i refrained.

ON THE BRIGHTER SIDE, i can LITERALLY ramble on and on [yet again i'll refrain] about how SHIN IS SOO SEXY...men that use ACTION rather than WORDS are top notch quality in my eyes. you see, i love men that don't tell me i'm beautiful, but stare at me in such a piercing way that i'll go weak in the knees. THAT'S HOTT. and that's SHIN. He doesn't have to say out loud, "I love CG," but we ALL know it...HIS ACTIONS DEFINITELY SPEAK LOUDER THAN HIS WORDS. He cares for her, but never boasts about it...he gets jealous, but that's just all the better. he stays quiet and when he wants her, he'll "pounce." LIKE A SILENT PREDATOR. i'd be his prey anyday. ;D
