Personally i m a big fan of them both.....its true that both albums were dissapointments, But i liked DT's album more, cause i liked most of the songs in the album and my favorites were (can't get u out of my mind, too beautiful, finally, the moment....But instead Jay's album was pretty boring, most of the songs were rapping..obivously he isn't so good at it...his voice just doesn't get any special when he raps...But i did like "Qian Lin Zi Wai". Anyway gotta say Jay chow screwed this album and lost to David Tao.
So make up your mind who's album was better??
ps....plzz dont try to critism these albums if u haven't heard them

I'm gonna be really biased here since I didn't listen to 'Still Fantasy' yet but Jay's music never really quite impressed me in anyway.. [the one that r good IMO were either wrote by other ppl or a duet] his voice really killed the song for me. + his music rather repetitive.
so it's DT's "Tai Mei Li" for me all the way~!! It may sound dull to some but I like the whole arrangement of the album because I can sit listening through without skipping any tracks. his voice r really smooth & full~ I felt even better when he sings live & listening to his album makes me anticipate more to his concert because I can definately imagine those songs LIVE~!! & it's sure gonna be a wonderful experience
my fav: Wang Bu Liao, Finally, Forever, Walk On, Olia etc.

I like "Still Fantasy." I like most of his songs. His songs are sort of repetitive because he said that he did it on purpose. I think it explains why it is called "Still" Fantasy. For David Tao, I think his music is kind of boring. No offense!

i've recently just listened to the Jay Chow's cd and i must admit jay doesn't disappoint. Still Fantasy has the same style of songs that made jay popular and i like it. Some of the songs are good. David Tao's cd, too beautiful, is good as well and i personally like it a little more because the style is a little different than what david puts out. So i picked David's Too Beautiful over Jay's Still Fantasy.

well, i vote for still fantasy.. at first, i brought it.. i think it will be the old style of jay again.. but it really surprise me alot.. with the different songs.. he even try bossa nova in one of the song.. this make a big difference.. when i listen to david tao, i think he did not do so good compared to the last album.. i like his last album alot.. but this, some sort of disappointment.. sorry to offence those who vote david tao..

I prefer 'Still Fantasy' from Jay.
I like sum of his songz from that album...
It's pretty nice, like 'Beyond a Thousand Miles"...
But that other guy's voice is a bit old-fashioned...
And I like Jay's style better~ =]

Jay's new album was quite dissapointing, his previous album was very good, having all 11 songs sound great. However, there are only 3 appealing songs in this new album.
David has always performed well with his albums. His style is very unique and can be seen through all the songs in this album. For that, I recommend Too Beautiful

Haven't heard all of David's songs on Too Beautiful yet, but Jay's album was average - some songs were good, some weren't so appealing.

Jay Chou is wasting time creating musics which suppose to be cool.
His voice is infact very common which lots of people or non singer can mimic or sing better than him. Jays attitude is unreasonably proud.
Some people like Jays song because they only listen to the appearance of the song which never go deeper into it and understand the character of the singer.
I have to admit Jay is a good pop singer but compare to David which puts in his sincerity, heart and soul into music making.. David is an Artistic Musician.
Davids song often tells a story in hidden. You need an effort to understand and appreciate.
Back to Davids 2nd and 3rd album was release, Critics often critisize that previous album was better but after years has past, some of the Familiar songs in peoples mind are still come from the 2nd and 3rd album, example 'Moon Rep. Whose Heart?', 'Small Town Girl', 'Normal Friends', Finding Myself', 'Tian Tian', 'My Anata' and 'Melody'.
Jay is a Pop Singer, David is an Artistic Musician. I prefer DT.
People remember things which have QUALITY, when years goes by...
10 years later from now, people will not remember Jay.( Because he is not handsome enough anymore..) But people will remember Davids song which puts is sincerity when singing.

i think STILL FANTASY is better... i like every song in it and Jay's songs would never got boring. Too beautiful somehow got boring as i listen to more of it. i only like that song with Jolin.

The reason a lot of people find David's music boring is because he try not to write music just for ktv. His songs are complex with more range than most Chinese popsongs. His songs take a longer time to get popular but they last longer. Some critics describe his music like wine, the longer the better it sounds.
Jay's songs rely on catchy hooks to get people singing along. His love ballads are usually very simple with an easy range so people can sing in ktv. His music has been described as canned like soda, easy to pop and drink.
So it will depend on what kind of taste you have. If sophisticated, you most likely like Beautiful more, if trendy than you will go for Still Fantasy.

I like David Tao's album more. I think Jay's new album isn't as good as his last one. I'm actually not that into Jay's music. Tao is actually one of my favorite singers.

Definitely Still Fantasy!! I love this album so much that I listen to it at least once a day. Okay, maybe I'm a bit bias because I'm a big fan of Jay Chou. But I think most of you must agree that Still Fantasy is a great album.

i'd have to say Still Fantasy is the first Jay album where i can listen to the WHOLE album
usually there is way too much rap and i dont like the tracks
the thing is though, most of the tracks are rather pop-ish
but the track listing was well done
while Too Beautiful,
i may not like ALL of the songs on it
i like nearly all of them
but the songs that i do like,
i really really like them
and there is a lot more variation within the album
and as mentioned before,
the lyrics by David are much more original
and the music arrangement is much more dramatic
so while it is a close call,
i will go Too Beautiful

I haven't heard Jay's Still Fantasy, but most of the time I hate rap, and I like some of his slow songs. I've listened to Too Beautiful and David's songs are really good. So it's quite a hard choice to make.

'Too Beautiful' is Better than David's Previous Album. It is more mature in style and expression.
I am hoping for david's further improvments.
Davids past album express a youth chacracter struggling in his relationship with girl friends, media, enviroment...
But this album show that he has grown from the previous stage to more mature.
David Tao! You are much better than Jay Chow. Hope you can be firm in oyur believed too. Praise the Lord.

DT in the House~!!! definately DT for me XD
Actually I met Jay before DT coz I used to like Jordan Chan music & the song he collaborate with Jay was really nice so I dl a couple of Jay songs but it didn't really impress me much.. later on I got his CD from a friend, but his music put me to sleep.. always makes me curious as to why many ppl like his mumbling voice altho his music kinda catchy

I only like a couple of his ballad songs tho.
DT on the other hand caught me with his 'My Anata' MV.. mixing Japanese lyric + Chinese lyrics [the guys real creative & the MV was so funny~!!] I have to get his 'Black Tangerine' CD XD he actually pull me into Mandarin pop since I usually only listen to Japanese & Eng music back then... now he make me prefer Mando-pop as well

he still amaze me with his gorgeous vocal & well arrange music.
!duh! -.-'

I really like David Tao's songs, I'm pretty sure all the people like his songs. Both male and female, old & young. He has very unique songs and a wonderful voice.2 mie,he's like the father of Chinese RnB' music.Frankly speaking, how can Jay Chou ever be compared 2 David?

It's nt meant 2 hurt e feelings 4 Jay's fans out there! Eh,but pls... face the fact lah ,David has such powerful vocals & stage versatility dat Jay Chou doesn't even posess.
It may be quite thrue dat David can't rap as well as Jay, i oso noe dat Jay's looks r betta',but smetmes,i really dunnoe wats so gd 'bout him bsides all tis???His MUMBLING voice?Well, who knows?NT ME cans liao!

David Tao. He seems to know quite a lot about making music, and his voice isn't the best but he knows how to utilise it. His original songs (as opposed to his remakes of old songs) are so easy for me to related to and that really helps me in my darkest hours. I listen to him everyday and I never get tired of his songs, so the fact that he releases an album every 2-3 years doesn't bother me much. I also like that he's not very mainstream and he doesn't care much about how people look at him. He just cares about what they think of his music and how it affects them. As for his remakes, which people tend to criticise, I like that he always remakes them with his own styles rather than just simply singing them as they are and putting them in his albums.
I used to be a big Jay fan though. But his style got old for me, no offense. His singing has gotten a lot better though, and I see that he's gotten more confident. I might start listening to him again.
