well for me...it was in between...the bad bit wwas stephen decided to suicide =[ it was so sad...i thought he would be fully recovered at the end....he did such a big sacrifice...also ron ng got killed...he died like so innocent!!! arrghh...and like so many good ppls died in this series...kenneth...ha yue...good bit was that umm...stephens, rons dad was killed MUAHAHAH he deserved that actually...then mai suet went mental...shirley disabled...so its fair lol good series

not really liking the ending, guess Tvb wants to do something different with their ending but all these character getting killed and become vegetable/crazy are not working for me. I was rooting for a somewhat happy ending. Come on why do "ah long" or ron ng has to die. I was hoping for the parents to go to jail, ah long recover and became the CEO with ron ng as the president but oh well, guess theres no 2nd happy ending.

i think it was quite unbelievable for tong zheen loong to kill ron, his own son..seems quite far fetched...

Can't believe he really killed his son Ron you think at the end he will feel guilty but he doesn't even care abt his unborn grandson still wants to kill kate. In thise series they shouldn't make ron die I believe. Overall its a good series though.

i liked it... it was realistic, people die in the world where there are evil people... but just didn't like that ron had to die and left a pregnant kate... sigh... i liked that shirley got karma... but that part was a little unrealistic... it would have been more entertaining if she survived and got all the money... lolz.. .but i guess it would teach people the lesson of karma...

The ending was bad. Ron shouldn't of died lol. Too bad I think this ended too soon. I could of seen it going for a few more episodes and further out. It ended to sooN!! Boo to the ending.

I wasn't like the ending either since there is not much happy ending since the father should not kill the son. they should extended the few epsoides like they can talk about the son and then the baby got born......etc.

I'm kinda inbetween.. I liked the ending for Ngoh Wah, Shirley and Michelle but definately not Ron and Stephen..
I kinda pitied Michelle because she lost her son that she loved so much.. the scene where she was crying was really well done.. she's a great actor.
A countless number of GOOD people died in this series.. sigh.. I felt so bad for Kate because both her loved ones died.. first Kenneth then Ron .
And they never really showed much about Vin.. I thought there'd be more about him after he went to Taiwan but it seems like they forgot about him
Overall, I loved this series though

I chose inbetween cuz like everyone here I didn't want Ron to die. Maybe if his father silence him and lock him somewhere then it's fine. But to kill his own son is just too much. It's like contradicting his self conscience.

i guess besides for ron and steven dieing.. i really liked the ending.. everyone got wat they deserved and there was closure in the ending.. it didnt leave anything hanging or that u would need to figure the ending for urself.. great series too!!

The Brink of Law is a really good serie... I haven't been so exciting before watching an episode for a long time..! Well done!

i like the ending other than ron dying. i thought it was really sad for kate and it was kind of surprising that his father killed him and ah long, it was such a big sacrifice. the evil characters deserve for what they did. so many people died, all the tung family died except for michelle. i enjoyed the series very much. the beginning was a bit boring but it gets more and more exciting and interesting. i esp. enjoyed michelle's parts and steven's.

i kinda figure Ron will die. the last couple of eps. kinda foreshadows it becuase he keep talking to Kate and saying how they will do this and that when he is done with his business. the fact that tvb stresses on that shows that something will happen. i was kinda upset. i didn't want him to die. but than again, if he didn't die, than it will be a regular lame tvb ending. so i'm not going to complain.

Shirley, i'm shock about what happen to her. overall, i didn't really find her to be 'that' evil. 'cept for the way she treated Ron + Kate. but eh, not a fan of kate, so i didn't really care, lol. but the fact that she is paralyzed too is funny. yup, karma, lol.

i didn't like that Michelle turn crazy. i wish she is concious of the fact that she was in jail and regretting.

Steven + Bernice. at least they kept one happy couple. i thought they were cute throughout the series. so i'm glad they were able to be together at the end. =]

overall... good ending, good series. not another lame tvb ending, so no complaints.

I didn't like the ending too much, ROn shouldn't have died, ah long shouldn't have died and the father shouldn't have died, he should have been punished in jail. Shirley should've been punished as well not stay in a coma. It was weird that the father was shot so many times, that was just overdone.

i didnt like it too much too, how many shots were fired to his rons real dad, a few to the chest and then a few to the back and then does a swirl then lands on the couch

out of the many disappointing endings for tvb dramas..i actually found this one not bad...because this one actually has an ending, where the bad people got what they deserve...i especially like the part where steven did the thumbs up to his dad...even though he left early in the drama...we still remember who steven was trying so hard for!

I thought that the last sentence at the very end of the series sorta killed it though. Steven was talking to Bernice and then he makes a comment about how everyone around us should lend a hand in making the world the better place.

This endiing was very surprising for me too, I was shock that Ron died, that was reall sad. Then Stephen's suicide, I knew it was coming, the best was Shirley how she's handicap for the rest of her life. That was the best!

I didn't the ending at all. I appreciated that all the "bad guys" in the end got their just desserts, but then they cut to Bernice and Steven all lovey dovey together. They did awful things too and they shouldn't be so happy after everything that happened.

i thought the ending was good. all the bad guys got what they deserved. the only thing was that ron had to die. i was hoping they wouldn't saved him in time but nope. tvb doesn't believe in happy happy ending.

The ending is a bit of a mixed bag. The typical bad guys loose and good guys win
is predictable. However, Leo (Ron Ng) death is a bit unexpected as I can't imagine
his blood father would kill him simply because he knows too much of his secrets.

Also, the time when Leo became uncontactable, the police should have acted
more promptly in raiding Tong's residence knowing that one of their undercover's
life may be in danger. I can't believe they have to wait for that many days and only
by accident that they ran into the guy whose dog was run over by Michelle's
hitman. That's just unbelievable for undercover operation.

I thought the ending was kind of not well thought out actually and the fall of Ngor Wah
and Michelle came a bit too easy in the very last episode.

Also, Shirely's misfortune of becoming parallelized herself is also kind of typical
justified ending for bad guys play by TVB. It doesn't always have to be ended that
way, but I guess that's just TVB's modus operandi!

The ending was ok. I like the last few lines when Bernice said "we should all offer a hand to help society become a better place." It sounds like she is giving a lesson to the viewers about breaking the laws is not acceptable. It pretty much reflect the title. The evil ended up in a bad position. I just don't think innocent people should die. If Ron would live and Stephen would recover from his disability, then it would be a better ending rather than killing them off.

I kind of felt sorry for Michelle. She completely lost everything, especially the people she loved and care about. One of her son died, the other one ran away, Shirley never liked her, she was going to divorce her husband, the downfall of the illegal buisness, and she lost connection with others. As a result, she went mentally insane. I thought she was going to committ suicide.

I was thinking that if the police arrest both Michelle and her husbad, then Shirley would take all the money and leave. I never knew she would be shot, and become paralyzed.

i was in between.. i didnt expect stephen to die! my jaw dropped when he dropped into the swimming pool, n it was very touching when michelle jumped in to the pool, hugged him n cried. i really liked how she cried lol she looks pretty even when she was crying lol! esp when she was reading the letter stephen typed for his parents. waah..! it was so touching.. but the ending was ok.. i did expect ron to die lol but definitely not stephen x( i was glad when shirley was disabled wahahaha. she's really bI*chy in there.. well cant blame her for that since her father had a tragic death and she wanted to take revenge..
overall, it's ok.. i kind of like it.. everyone deserved the way they ended up, well almost all.. (:

I voted for in between. Can't always have every series end with a happy ending! That would be too predictable... some endings that you didn't think would happen sometimes is refreshing.

I would have liked the ending way more if Ron didn't die in this series. He was so innocent. I also thought Stephen shouldn't have died either. He was so innocent too. The ending would have been much better as I have said in other topics that Bernice and Steven should have a wedding scene together.
