Hi hi! *waves*
I'd like to know any good Chinese artists who are in the C-POP (Chinese Pop) category, please~!!
I only know the Chinese singers Joey Yung, Edison Chen, Jay Chou (haven't listen to his music yet), Jacky Cheung (Haven't listen to his music yet either)and Miriam Yeung (is this a wrong spelling of her name?)~ XP
I really want to listen to Chinese music! It's sooo COOL!!! XD
(I'm listening to "Kai Da" by Miriam Yeung!!! YAAAAAAY! This song always boost up my energy! ~X3 )
So, any recommendations on which C-POP Chinese artists I should listen to?
THANK YOU!!!!!!!

I recommend LeeHom Wang. He's got to be one of or arguably the most muscially talented musician in the Asian music industry.

Jolin Tsai - she's like the only cpop artist I'd actually spend money on and one of the very few artists whose album has a majority of good/catchy songs.
Elva Hsiao's also pretty good but she's sort of a hit and miss. Stephanie Sun, Fish Leong, JJ Lin, and Tank are good if you like ballady/mid-tempo songs.

Jolin Tsai is the only cpop artist I know and listen to all the time. Her album J-Game is fantastic. Not a single bad song. But I would also like to know some other good cpop bands/singers.

Chinese or Taiwanese? Since this is in the China Entertainment I think we should be talking about stars from MAINLAND CHINA right?
Well, I don't really know many singers from China, but I thought Hua Er Yue Tuan's songs are quite nice, despite that they had been reported for copying quite a number of times...

Yeah, posting in this forum you seem to be referring to Mainland Chinese artist, but seeing what you're looking for I'm assuming you just want to know some more Chinese songs in general.
If you're looking for hip hop/R&B, I highly recommend Leehom Wang, Jay Chou, David Tao. All three of them are extremely talented in their music. They compose, produce (don't know about Jay Chou though), and write their own songs and lyrics. They're brilliant. (And if you're looking for a cute guy check out Leehom Wang, HAHA)
In ballads, mid-tempo songs, there are JJ Lin, Jolin Tsai, Stefanie Sun, Elva Hsiao, TANK, Fahrenheit (boy group), S.H.E (girl group) and a lot more, haha.

You must get some Angela Zhang. Or at least die trying. And avoid Janice's Do U Know. It's awful.
But yeah, I'm interested more in artists from the mainland. Any recommendations?

Well, here are my recommendations, but it includes Chinese and Taiwanese, since the language they sing in is still the same:
-LEEHOM WANG (you HAVE to check him out he is A-MAZING)
-Jay Chou (not the most talented, but writes good songs and is probably most popular artist in China/Taiwan right now)
-Jolin Tsai (kind of like the "Britney Spears" of c-pop, except not crazy =P)
-Nicholas Tse (more rock style if you prefer that)
-S.H.E (cute group of 3 girls, mainly pop songs)
-Tank (mainly r&b and ballads, but he's a really good singer and songwriter, very talented)
-Fahrenheit (a boyband that got put together, all members had a certain amount of fame before being in the band, but all of them are very good-looking!)
-JJ Lin Jun Jie (mainly r&b, some pop too, he's the shizz at singing)
There are probably a lot more, just don't come to mind right now. ^^

Wrong section~~..
U wont find much stuff in the chinese section. Cause 'China entertainment' refers to china mainland and all those artists listed above are taiwanese, or cantonese (?). So u'd better visit the Taiwanese section. Its full of cool artistes. I recommend:
Males
Show Luo- very talented, singer, actor, comedian, host, dancer.....
Jay Chou- good with music related things
Wilber Pan- Hip Hop.. i think. and R&B. But theres rap in those songs.. =D
TANK- ahh, good with lyrics and music and singing....
Danson- on my avator.. very good, so cool
fahrenheit - strong supporter
Females
S.H.E - a female band that has been together for a long while but staying strong
Rainie- i think her songs are quite nice
ChazChaz

Faye Wong, my favourite singer right now. She composes a lot of her songs and generally has a different style per album, at least her recent releases do. I think she's quit the music industry but she released quite a few good albums.

Yeah , seriously try LEEHOM WANG and JAY CHOU . Dunno abt David Tao though,....not really my style . Hm..R & B try Leehom's Unbelievable. But for more unique style try Heroes of Earth and Shangri- La . Relaxing : Change Me . Jay ,,, I enjoy Qi Li Xiang , Fantasy , Ye Hui Mei . Fish Leong is good and the best thing is Leehom composed Si Lu !!!!!! But , tell ya the truth , Wings of Love is her best album as all the songs are great !!!!! JJ Lin's Westside is quite good , I have to admit . And do try TANK , he's great .
No off. but Fahrenheit is only so-so in terms of singing . Their tunes are okay , for teenagerish kinda age IMO . Kinda too young for me but I still listen to them ^ ^ . Hmm.......groups u can try S.H.E. and F.I.R. duno lerzz.....not exactly their fan . Hm......Mayday is good too
Jolin is o-kay lar ....

F.I.R is quite good as a group. Also try Nan Quan Ma Ma. Both are them are Taiwanese groups, Hong Kong don't really have good music groups.
Sherman Chung, Eunix Lee, Kay Tse are Hong Kong singers who are good and are more of the alternative singer.

What do you mean by alternative singer?
I grew up listening to alternative music (No Doubt, Garbage, Greenday, Third Eye Blind, Blink 182, etc) but the Kay Tse songs I can find on You Tube don't fit that style so I think you mean something else.
I found out about F.I.R recently and I really like their style - a little bit of rock influence.
I also like Ping Pung but I think they disbanded and Kary Ng still does some rock-ish songs, but I liked what she did with Ping Pung better. Canto-rock is uncommon which is why I was excited when I found out about Ping Pung.
Are there any more Chinese rock groups that could be recommended?

TANK is really great, from rock to ballad, always over the top. Anson Hu's voice is the most touching in his ballads. William So rocks too.

Oh yeah. Lee Sheng Jie is extremely underrated. His voice slightly reminds me of Jacky Cheung, both powerful and captivating.
