Kevin's Character: Kevin plays an IT executive in the series. Due to the nature of his job, which also influences the way he lives his life, everything is fast-paced. As a result, he doesn’t know how to relax or enjoy life until he meets Lai’s father, played by veteran actor Paul Chun Pui. In a character trait most of us can relate to, Kevin is also Western-educated and doesn’t know Mandarin. But because the company he works for is taken over by a Chinese company and my boss is Mandarin-speaking, he have to take lessons from Paul Chun. Kevin definitely seems different with the glasses...but he still looks very handsome.
I hope his character will be fun to watch.. it will be interesting to watch his pairing with Gigi..

Based on episode 1, Kevin's character is very likable so far! Yes, he is funny when bickering with his sister! He also says, "hurry hurry" all the time!

He looks unbelievably young in glasses. Like how Sammo Hung defies gravity, Kevin seems to defy age.

I have one question, is kevin's real mandarin as bad as it sounds in the series? I watched him in the Taiwanese drama "legendary twins" with Alec Su and Jimmy Lin, his mandarin was alright, or was his voice dubbed in that show?

kevin looks so hot in this series, he has such an adorable personality too. Love him in those glasses, if he's supposed to be a nerd in this series, then he is one HOT nerd haha

Kevin's character in Hard Fate was kind of playful too, but it is just that he turned more serious as the series progressed.

Kevin's Mandarin in real life is not bad at all, plus he has lived in Taiwan for a couple of years. In interviews, Kevin even said he had trouble making his Mandarin sound horrible and had to put alot of thought into it. I just laugh whenever his character, Ryan, tries to speak Mandarin.

kevin is actually quite cute in this series! he's alot much more playful! and he always makes fun of mandarin by calling it "pu tong gua"! and boy! he doesnt age huh?!! still looking good!!

Kevin looks so good with the glasses! Haha, it does remind me a lot like Hard Fate though. But he was a bit mean to Gigi in the first episode, felt kind of bad for her.

kevin is so hot!!! i love the glasses effect... it makes him look more cute.... i like his role in here... very nice and caring... jsut that hez a workaholic... thatz the bad part.... but it funny hearing him try to learn mandarin... in the first 2 episode it was funny hearing him speak broken mandarin... just couldn't stop laughing hehe... can't wait till him n gigi gets together in the movie...

i think the glasses are there to make him look older to match gigi. jason has the same glasses too i think it's to make them both look older.

think black plastic frame glasses give a bookworm style while the frameless one in Brink of Law give a rich upperclass look/style (this is just my opinion)...Life art is more about art, calligraphy which are inner personalities and not materialistic therefore most of the props are give a more natural down to earth feelings

I like Kevin in any series, he plays his character so well, and he can really act. I like this role as an IT specialist, he's always press for time. I love it when he tries to speak Mandaring blend with cantonese, so hilarious. Kevin's seems like he loss weight, he seems more skinny.

I dont really like Kevin's acting that much but his personality is quite amazing. For some reason i think he needs more experiance in acting in order to be better...

kevin is so much better in modern series than ancient ones. devil's disciples was pretty bad. I've never really had a problem with kevin cheng modern series, most of them have been relatively enjoyable. His IT character in this series is super nice, but a little naive at times, but at least he's honest, loves his family and friends, and true to his word. Too bad guys like this only exist on TV or they're married.

Yes, Kevin was not at his best in Devil's Disciples. But surely you have to agree he looks very good in the brown frames.

i prefer kevin in modern series than in ancient ones.. think his performance in Devi;'s Disciple lost out to Bosco's, but anyway, i like him with glasses. and he's more funny in this series. i like his personality as Ryan.

I do like him but his glasses I'm really not sure about. I think his character ok but when he shouted at gigi because of his mum I didn't like, but then if I was in his shoes I probably would have done the same so its understandable.

I think Kevin's character is so hot in this series. He is a leader but at the same time is a tech geek. He treats his mom so nice! He is the good guy with attitude. That is soo hot.

I agree that Kevin looks a little different with glasses, but he still looks very handsome though. His job in this series pretty suits him in my opinion. I actually enjoyed his character in this series.
