Simon Yam & Eason Chan's Daughters Perform on Same Stage

Yesterday night Eason Chan's daughter, Constance Chan, and Simon Yam's daughter, Yam Ching, along with 10 other children danced on the same stage. Looking at their performance, Constance Chan is rather quite, while Yam Ching wanted to run off stage when she saw her father. Originally, Eason promised to make an appearance on stage but being plagued with a heavy cold he did not attend the performance. Wife Hilary Tsui and a friend attended the performance to watch Constance perform.

After the performance Hilary states that Eason is disappointed that he could not watch his daugther perform live, but he will watch the school's recorded version. She also said that their daughter's performance was ok. Simon Yam on the other hand gave his daughter a full 100 points, while his wife who is the primary caregiver to their daughter gave her a 120 points. Simon says that his daughter and all the other performing children are all only about 2 years old and they did very well, and at the very least did not have stage fright. Simon also states that his wife, who was away from Hong Kong working, did not get to watch their daughter perform live so she will wait for the next opportunity at the end of the month. As father's day is getting closer, Simon says that his daughter gave him a card that she drew herself.

Simon Yam confirmed at the premier of "The Way We Are"<< 天水圍的日與夜 >> that he was invited to Tony and Carina's wedding. The invitation was a bit late and it was conflicting with his his filming a mainland film and will not be able to attend there wedding.

Simon Yam said, "He was very honored to work with director Anne Hu in the mainland. He doesn't want to disclose to much about the film. He will let his manager disclose this as the appropriate time." When asked what he will send a pair of newlyweds, He said he will be sending over a video camera.

Simon Yam never been to Bhutan. But what he have hear of Bhutan it's a great place for democracy, and the place is clean. The locals in the area are self sufficient, and it is a heavenly place.

Dating for over 10 years, Edmond Leung and Karen Lam tied the knot a night ago. Although the couple did not have "the wedding of the century" and although the bride did not wear the most luxurious jewelry they, however, did have friendship as countless industry stars showed up at their wedding making it a "star-studded wedding."

To give his wife the best wedding possible, Edmond invited Dicky Cheung and Eric Tsang to be the MCs of the night. Edmond's "brothers" William So, Andy Hui and Eason Chan performed for the couple as William performed Love, Andy performed 唯獨你是不可取替 and Eason performed 明年今日. Edmond, who earlier said he wouldn't perform during the night, ended up performing 太太 太太. Edmond thanked William So for helping him with his tuxedo, Denise Ho's father for his help and Paco Wong for the 8 crates of wine.

Sandra Ng and Simon Yam star in new 60's backround movie "歲月神偷". Yesterday they filmed scenes of old buildings in Central's Wing Lee Street. Director Alex Law stated that there were no problems in hiring the location and the filming was extremely successful. He said "In the 60's people in Hong Kong were very poor. However they had fighting power and a sense of direction. Nowadays there is too much negative energy around. Only by using the lense can we re-establish the old working spirit of Hong Kong and so that it can live on forever. It can also be used as collective memories."

Gained weight for the movie but not Pregnant

Sandra and Simon will play a married couple. Simon is a shoemaker and has 2 children. Earlier a shoemaker master taught him the process in making shoes. As for rumors claiming Sandra is pregnant again. She said "I have gained weight but I am not pregnant. In this movie I play someone in her 40's and has 2 children. That's why I deliberately gained 2, 3 Kg's in weight. I don't mind being pregnant and if it happens again I would be very happy."

Sandra's son in the movie will have an incurable disease and she will often cry. Her mood will be extremely low. As well as Liza, Simon Yam also bumped into Michael Jackson during his visit at the Shaw Studios. Simon said "In 1987 I was shooting TVB series "The Book And Sword". I was quite shocked to see him. He was very curious about the Chinese costumes. During the time I was wearing a Chinese Emperor costume and he appeared to very interested in it. He touched the material and touhed my bald head. I also took pictures with him and got his autograph. I enlarged the photo and have kept it in the warehouse. Michael is very nice and didn't have an superstar attitude. He is one of my favorite singers. I often listen to his songs with my wife. Originally we bought tickets to watch his concert in England but now we haven't got that chance. It has made me realize people need to cherish and value the people around them".
