who do u think can lead a series from the new generation ?
so far i think raymond lam is the only one , ron ng have potential to be but needed a breakthrough role and leila tong has potential too but needed to be given a chance and a good role.

The older generation hasnt really pass the baton yet to the new generation,especially the 90s fadan.Not many of the newer generation have the onscreen charisma that they have.

oh and by the way how old are the 90s fadan now ? i believe they are nearing 40 ?

Most likely Raymond. He is already leading the new series "Drive Of Lfe". Kevin maybe except he needs more challenging roles.

Tavia have the potential and she has the popularity, she just need more promotion from TVB.

Raymond. Not because I like her, but isn't he the 1st one who win Most Improved . He is the 1st one who have leading roles among the young generation, too. So I agree with Myolie, he is the 1st leading of young generation now.
I myself think that Kevin is ... a little too old to be "young", and I like his villian role than his "romantic" good role now. He has look of an villian.
Bosco needs to change his roles... I fed up with "good, silly, funny guy" image of him. Hope HOG can give something better ( but Gilbert reminds me of Oscar in Golden Faith).
Ron needs to improve his acting more and more.
Kenneth now have the 1st time to be leading. Hope he can do something good with Survivor Law 2.

Actress:
Myolie: She can act. But she isn't that beautiful. Sometimes she looks very pretty, but most of the time, she looks cute only. BTW, her status is good in TVB. So she can be the leading of young generation.
Tavia: She can act too. Don't know why TVB don't like to promote her?
Leila: She is cute and have a naive face. But she didn't sign contract with TVB, so...
Bernice : She is sexiiii and can act. But TVB seems like her to focus singing than acting.
Linda: TVB crazie promote her now... But gosh, she only has look and need to work hard with her acting.
Yoyo: She can act, but she is as Tavia, don't be liked by TVB.

i think nancy wu can also be part of the next generation...

she has good acting skills just hasnt had the chance to show it! she needs a chance!

Actually a majority listed have already lead a serie or two, except for Leila, Kenneth, Nancy, and someone named a Jessica Siu, whom I have no recollection of.

I think Raymond, Ron, Tavia, Myolie, Bernice, Kenneth, Bosco, Sammul, Leila, Nancy, etc. have quite a lot of charisma and potential when they first appeared onscreen, and well now, a majority have improved vastly. It just mainly depends on whether TVB gives them the opportunity to do lead or not.

As for older generation passing the baton, I don't know if that's really the case. Each generation has a different style of portrayal, but each generation does leave to let a new generation take over.

I'm sort of hoping that Leila and Sammul could be, but they never seem to get breakthrough roles (and even when they do, TVB just overlook them), though they're not in a contract with TVB =( so it'll be really hard for them to ever got promoted.

Same with Tavia, but that's because TVB doen't promote her but they promote Linda instead (err, wth).

I'm pretty sure Raymond, Kevin (even though he's like a decade older than everyone), Bosco, Kenneth, Ron, Sammul (hopefully) etc. will become the new generation if they're not already now.

The girls would be Myolie, Bernice, Tavia (hopefully), Leila (hopefully), and Linda (oh dear god x_x).

And to the Raymond getting the most improved award first, well, didn't he join the industry earlier than everyone apart from Tavia who joined at the same time?

No. Bosco, Ron, Myolie, Sharon joined before him. Myolie n Ron were in the acting class one year later than Raymond because Ron was in the dance class and Myolie was 2nd Miss HK. Sharon started as a model in 15 years old ( she was born in 1979 too). Bosco started as a host first, then change to an actor. Tavia was in the same class with Raymond ( classmate ). Matt Yeung was in this class too ( but hardly see him these days, I liked this guy very much). Leila is the 1st one who joined into the industry because she is a baby-actress. Sammul Chan was a DJ before become an actor, you can see his cameo with Raymond in an old TVB series. When Kevin joined into the industry, most of the actors now was in elementary school.

The 1st one who win the Most improved award in young generation was Myolie Wu ( with Yan Yan in Golden Faith - 2002) with Moses ( Most improved award - male) . So I think the award will back this year, but it's Best actors award. That means maybe next year the award will belong to Raymond and Tavia ( because they won the Best Improved actors award together in 2003).

definitely raymond, he can be a convincing lead, same with bosco and probably ron. as for the girls, i'd say leila, but tvb needs to give her the opportunity to lead, my next choice would be bernice. myolie and tavia are ok, but they aren't that interesting to watch, but that's my opinion.

But Raymond and Tavia are the ones that got meaty roles in acting first since they're from acting class. Myolie got meaty roles fast too since she's from Miss HK. Ron and Bosco got into acting later since Ron is from dancing class and Bosco is a CheckTVCity host(something like K-100). LOL I agree that this year most probably the Best Actor/Actresses will fall into Myolie and Moses hhaha.

As for kevin, i know a lot of ppl think hes average, but his emotions are so real and convincing to me. i think he just needs some other roles than playing mister nice guy.

Leila doesnt get the chances she actually deserves, she is a great actress but not given many chances . shes always second lead or something geesh.

Tavia proved she can handle every role she gets. but like leila, she didnt actually get the lead roles or any big oppurtunities.

Myolie can handle lead roles, as seen in TGWL , eventhough the storyline sucked its not her fault and shes a good actress.

TVB gives the chances to other ppl who cant even handle a lead role yet

of the new generation, i only see talents in Raymond, Leila, Myolie, Tavia, and Bosco where some still need to improve their acting. Other than that, people like Linda, Shirley, Ron doesnt have talents or good acting at all...the artists in the 80s-90s are sooo much better.

Bernice is pretty, sexy & talented...she can practically do almost everything!!! Besides tat she's really hardworking & down-to-earth...she really hav the most potential...

bosco- even though i dun like him as an actor..i actually do think he can act..most of his roles are different and very versatile..pretty good actor..and i think he has the potentila to make it big

raymond- it seems as though he's getting less of a bigger role nowadays..or is itme? there doesnt seem to be usch exposure of him..but i still see that fans everywhere will always support this actor.

nancy- even though she is extremely underrated..and barely noticed by tvb producers..i really feel like she can have a chance to make it big. or is it more like i really want her to make it big? b/c i think she can really act.her expressions can change any moment..and that's very good for an actress..i hope she can make it big!

Yea its disgusting seeing Lychee (Female 90s actor) act in that Art TV series as a young 20 year old. ~It just doesn't work!!!~ You're 40!! not 20~!! At least Kevin acts himself even though he is in his 30s. We need more young people taking on young roles.

it's getting really annoying seeing the same people (main cast, supporting) over and over and over again. And so it's hard to imagine the current line up of new gen actors taking over. I'm already sick of them, and would probably stop watching TVB again until 10 years from now, probably.

female: Leila, Sharon, Tavia, Myolie and may be Bernice

Raymond & Bosco are on the top of my list. Especially Raymond, we've seen him as a baddie, we've seen him as a good boy, and he always successfully delivers great perfomances. Bosco is a potential actor, I think he's the one who improved the fastest. but TVB gotta give him more different roles other than this goofy-silly image (which he portrays very excellent!). His role in Dicey Business is really a breakthrough and I'm looking forward to seeing him as a hot-headed & may-be-a-baddie character in HOG. And Sammul's good too, he just need to work a bit more on his acting on some particular type of roles. Despite not being a contracted artist, this guy still has a lot of screentimes and able to satisfy most of the viewers with his acting skills.

About the girls, Myolie knows how to act, and she's being heavily promoted too, so there's not much for me to talk about. I just find it totally unfair for Tavia, she can art & act very well to be exact. the most important thing is that Tavia's TVB contracted too, but why do they choose Linda Chung & Kate Tsui, the two who obviously dont have the word 'act' in their dictionary, to promote over her? Sharon is also pretty good (I love her acting in Devil's Disciples), but when even a good actress like Tavia's neglected, she just got no chance to shine. And Bernice, I can't say her acting's good yet, but I can see this girl's trying hard to improve herself in each & every series she's in. Hopefully she'll be able to lead a series soon. + oil Bernice!!!

Last one, Leila. what do I say, I've been her fan ages ago, just trying to be objective. Her acting has improved greatly at a steady & rising pace over the years. Not saying she's the perfect one out there, but she sure knows how to get into her characters and make each of them 'alive'. But she's not contracted so, haha, the sun will rise on the west if tvb ever give her a leading role

The new generations... I can say are not running a talent image but more of a fans image... The more fans the more you'll see them in series HAHAHA

If you guys ask for the next generation, there are many I think like Raymond Lam, Bosco Wong, Ron Ng, Kenneth Ma, Kevin Cheng, Tavia Yeung, Myolie Wu, Nancy Wu, Sharon Chan, Bernice Liu etc. And Sammul Chan and Leila Tong would be cool too, but they didn't sign a contract, so well.

But leading roles, I would say for now, the next generation should be

- Raymond Lam: He has a lot of leading roles already. He has potential and isn't he the first one of the young actors whi got the improving award. He looks goo, sings good and TVB is promonting him, too. So afterall I think Raymond has a bright future in front of him. And an important factor ishe has played good and evil roles, so many chanllenges.

- Bosco Wong: He has great acting skills, this guy really got potential. He's cute and can sing. And he is also heavily promtoted by TVB. He should also have a bright fututre as an actor. If I'm honest I would say he acts better than Raymond, but then again Raymond has the beter roles.

- Tavia Yeung: This girl definitely has great acting skills, great potential. She is really pretty, her singing is okay. She had portrayed a lot of different characters and I think all of them had convince me, from a weak woman, a tough woman to a superficial woman. She shoild have a great future if TVB finally realize that she got potential and gives her more chances.

- Myolie Wu: She has great potential, too. She acts good and has a really cute voice, so that means she sing good, too. She looks pretty though most of the time more like cute, but that's why she looks lovely. She is promoted by TVB, so there should be nothing between her and a successful carreer. I think both her and Tavia are the same good in acting.

As for the others I listed before they need improvement, especially Ron, I mean he gets heavily promoted, but then again his acting isn't that great, but well, it's okay.

As for others like Nancy Wu, I think she has potential, everyone saw that in TOB, but then again it seems like TVB doesn't give her any chances at all, I think the role Wan Wan from TOB was the biggest role she ever had, right?

Theres definitely a lot of new faces in TBV. Unfortunately, not of them can surpass or take the places of the veterans. I kinda want to see some new faces though

actors like bosco and raymond have already been in series as leads. (twin of brothers, devil's disciple).. i also think that kevin would be able to handle it, but he's not really considered new generation.

as for the attresses, i'm not sure if charmaine would be considered new generation, as she has been acting for quite a while, but she can definitely handle it. i heard a lot of you guys mention myolie as a great acttress, but i don't think she has improved dramatically from her last few series. however, it wouldnt bother me to see her take on lead roles more. she is very likable. As for Leila... i dont think she is as charming as charmaine, myolie, nancy wu, or even tavia. i dont think she can take on lead roles.

Linda chung has been in the lead for many series, and she seems to always play the same character...

i think ron needs to work on his acting skills, unless it is just his personality to be stiff and serious all the time.

I think Tavia has the most potential to lead. Her most outstanding role I believe had to be her ancient roles such and Twins of Brother and Land of Wealth. Not many actresses can pull off ancient roles off. To do so you must have so acting talent in store. Her recent modern acting is just as impressive, with such little screen time she still manage to charm the audience. I think she has the potential to handle the leading role. I hope tvb give her the chance soon!

For Female : Tavia, Bernice, Leila, They are awesome TVB should give them leading roles . Hopefully not Linda and Myolie (heheheh they 're overpromoting now, see them everywhere )
For Male : Raymond, Bosco, Kenneth

Kenneth Ma ,Raymond Lam ,Bosco Wong for guy ,Kennth MA is a talent actor he coulds move into movies line as well if given chance like Ekin Cheng and Louis koo in the 1990an . Kevin Cheng is good but he is older than Louis Koo .

Linda Chung is really good..
Raymond Lam in Heart of greed is good as well..it's evidenced that his acting really getting more matured..

Raymond Lam can definately hold a lead role. His acting is spectacular! He can play all roles! Smart, funny, serious, dumb, snobby, rich, evil, out of their mind, good side, ya know? And he can portray all of them, in a VERY convincing way. He can also do crying scenes, and his eyes are full of emotion. He's good looking, and has a cute smile. He definately is the #1 best actor out there. To me anyways . He can sing too, and thats a bonus!

Bosco and Kevin aren't bad either, but Kevin plays the same roles and Bosco, well he's actually quite good. Ron is a no for me, because he has way to many love and good side roles.

For girls.. I like Tavia, Myolie, Bernice,and Charmaine too. Those four are amazing.

I find that i like Bernice the most though, because she can portray many roles such as cops, lovey dovey wife, a 'sister' in a kungfu clan sorta thing. Shes pretty, but can be cute.

Charmaine. Her crying skills are amazing, her actings good. But her roles have to much love in them. She has never played and evil role, but she CAN play kung fu sister, a queen, a poor person, or just a normal person. She's pretty,and when she smiles its pretty cute too.

Tavia has got some nice skills, her crying scenes are done well, when she wants to look pitiful she can, but like in yummy Yummy, her character was a cute kiddish person. The only thing thats stopping her, is that TVB isn't giving her alot of series. She has a cute face, but she can be beautiful too.

Myolie, well she only look cute, instead of pretty, like the other two. She does have potential though, like in TGWL she gave up her weight for a series. Her actings pretty good, but she isn't in many series, and she has a lot of the same roles.. Like she has a couple of Lawyer roles, and many of her roles are a bit lovey ish.

well the people that are leading in the industry is bosco and raymond and ron while on the female side is leila, tavia, myolie, and nancy

for me it's definitely leila tong. she has so much potential and i love her in every single role she does, even when she played a spoiled brat in Aqua Heroes and Life Made Simple but she doesnt any chances. she's always second lead, and i dont think she'll be the main lead anytime soon since she doesnt have a contract with tvb.

also sammul chan and kenneth ma. they're not perfect, but they've been improving and they're pretty decent. i think they can act better than some of the overpromoted actors and actresses. but then sammul doesnt have a contract with tvb either, so i doubt he's going to be a lead in one of those series anytime soon.

other than myolie, bernice, kenneth ma, and ramond lam, i don't really like any of the newcomers, lol! actually, that girl.. i don't know her name but i think her character was called Chloe in Revolving Doors of vengence? yah, she was so good at being evil, lol

Male: Raymond Lam- after watching him in golden faith as Oscar, he kinda impressed everyone, so i believe he can be leading .

Bosco- i may be biased, but i really do think that he has lots of potential, and he's not in the wrong career. he's really good actor with versatility. & he deserves to be promoted.
Raymond- he's been acting for quite a while, and he's already proven to be a strong leading actor. i think that he's gonna be TVB's big brother in the future.

Females:

Myolie- she's an actress that can act amazingly in any role, and the girl sure can cry!
Tavia- TVB didn't promote her as much in the past few years, but she's getting more promotion now, and she really deserves it! she was a really underated actress, but i'm glad she's gaining lots of attention. she has really shown improvement over the years.

if only Leila was a TVB contracted artiste, she would get more promotion. and she's a really amazing actress.

Pretty much anyone who is leading now. Its kinda sad, I don't get the same feel for the series as I do with the Older Generation. Even though some of them are close in age. Not the same skills.

Yeah, most of the new generation actors/actresses do not have the same acting trainings as the older generation of actors/actresses. Now a days, most of them have no acting lessons and just being thrown into a role so no wonder they suck. I don't think TVB is willing to spend the money on the training side anymore(becoming even cheaper). Raymond Lam & Bosco Wong both have some potential but somehow still kinda lacking something. As for Myolie & Tavia, I think they are good actresses but again need more opportunities to brush up on their acting skills.

for males, i think Bosco Wong. and females, Myolie Wu. they've both been getting better and better over the years

I don't recall that most of the older generation has any training. There are only a handful of older/younger actors that received TVB training .

for me i think leila tong since she acted at such a young age and i'm hoping to see more of leila, and bosco, ^^

Male: Raymond: Out of all the younger generation he is one of the younger ones. He had won many awards, been a many grand production, first to have leadig role, have a awesome voice ,good at acting , have many fans, and he is highly promoted.

female: linda chung:
she had been hightly promoted these days and eventhough she had only entered the industry for a short period of time, she had already een in alot of series.

Only if Leila is given more chances... she has the kind of look that nobody can dislike (my personaly opinion, haha), and she definitely has the potential in acting skill. Her lack of chance of being the first lead give people an impression that she can't be one... That's not fair.

Raymond is doing really good. He might be the next king of TVB. He's probably the best in terms of acting among the young generation. Kenneth's progressing well also. I think Sammul's look kind of limits his range of roles, but I hope he can break through.

By the way, I personally don't think Linda Chung is a good actress...
