myhelen, I'm as mad as you are on how TVB is treating DOL, with hardly any promotions or celebrations (not like that HOG series, I hate that that mediocre series got more exposure and favored by TVB ) and now they overlook the great acting of the DOL female cast. But what are you going to do, it's beyond our control. I guess now we can focus on hoping Charm win something for her role in GD and Ray win something for DOL.

So the lighting ceremony was today huh? Any news popping up or any more pictures or videos of Charray? I hope there are some of Charray together.

oh man i'm so sad tomorrow is DOL end! ahh ive been living 3 months with DOL.. everyday i look forward to watching a new episode =] , now theres gonna be nothing to look forward to. I felt like charray was part of my life ... sigh

I randomly stummbled upon wikipedia of DOL, and was looking through ratings.... overall they actually don't look as bad as I thought! lol at least the Peaking points were all in the 30s! so i would say ratings are average. =)

Okay everyone, I am so upset about the nomination list that I have emailed TVB again for that matter. I know they probably won't read it, but I just feel compelled to voice out my opinion. Basically I told them that I understand that the new rule this year is that every artiste get only one nomination for each category. But I am really disappointed that none of the female cast of DOL were nominated because I believe Sheren and Charmaine's performances in DOL are much better than the "See Lai" series and GD respectively. Especially for Charmaine, GD was aired last year, so people have forgotten about this series already. Right now, everyone is crazy for Sau Fung, and TVB has made her enter the awards with an old series - the reason behind is way too obvious. TVB just doesn't want Charmaine to win, so they are clearing the way for the "old twins" from HOG. TVB is trying to manipulate the results and it is totally unfair.

Anyways, aren't we glad that we still have the Astro Awards to look forward to for a Charray win?? And THe Emmy awards results should be revealed in Nov. as well.

And I am sad that DOL is over too!!! I have been living with DOL and Charray for the past 4 months and it is like missing a piece of me....But, luckily I live in Canada, and DOL will air here at our Station next week, so I will have another 3 months of Charray!!!!

It is totally absurd! It's quite obvious that TVB doesn't want Charmaine to win. I feel for you MyHelen. I was just upset as much as you were when I heard the news. Evidently, TVB knows if Charmaine was nominate for her role in DOL, she will win over the cast in HOG. This news left me speechless. I'm going to email to TVB as well. I just can't believe not ONE female from DOL was nominated!

I understand that anyhow Charm's chance of winning this year is highly unlikely simply because TVB won't give it to her 2 times in a row. But they don't have to be so OBVIOUS! You know what I mean? Everyone who has seen DOL should agree that Charm's performance is just superb. The character is much deeper and sophisticated than her GD role. If you talk about "new roles" or "breakthrough" - I think Sau Fung is even more unique and different from Charm's previous roles. I just couldn't find a single good reason to explain why GD is considered the better performance for Charm. One think I can be sure is that TVB definitely wants to make sure that Charm won't win this year and Sau Fung is definitely a "threat" to The "big and small wife " in HOG.

As for Ray, I certainly hope that he will win an award. Best actor chance is quite slim as there are more senior actors nominated plus the ratings of DOL is not that high. I think he has a good chance to win the Favourite character but personally I don't like Alfred in HOG. I just don't like his character there and the pairing sucks. And the pairing has affected the overall impression Alfred has given me. Nevertheless, I definitely hope Ray will win (alright, on condition that Linda won't win the favourite female character. Otherwise, I will ban watching TVB except for Charm and Charray series of course!)

Again, thank goodness we still have the Astro awards! Range, you have to save up your pocket money and vote for Charray, ok?

I'm really disappointed that Charmaine is not nominated for Drive of Life's Sau Fung. Honestly Glittering Days is so .. outdated. It's the only nominated series from 2006. It's obvious that TVB doesn't want Charmaine to win the award, and that means no CharRay this year for Best Actress and Best Actor. Although I really hope that Raymond is going to win Best Actor, because that means Charmaine is going to present the award to him ^^.

Honestly, IMO Charmaine was absolutely AMAZING in DOL; her scenes were breath-taking, memorable, heart-wrenching...FLAWLESS. And not only her, why isn't any other DOL actresses nominated?! I agree with what people are saying; it's so clear that TVB is trying to clear the path for Susanna and Lee See Kei along with the whole HOG hype. It's so unfair; i mean i'm sure Charm was great in Glittering Days too (i haven't watched it, but i'm confident in Charm's acting) but it aired so long ago, (like at the end of last year or something? In my opinion, DOL was truly a stellar production. The characters were developed EXTREMELY well, the plot was interesting, the editing/filming was fantastic, the cast had SUPERB chemistry [ESPECIALLY Charay!]...but more importantly, the characters have touched HEARTS. That's not a simple thing to do and definitely not on tv. DOL is truly one of THE best productions ever done by TVB. Sau Fung & Zhen Pong have entered my life as if they were real people and they will always be "real" to me. They've created a legendary love that will be retained in our memories and hearts: PongFung Love shall live on.

Very touching yet sad at the same time. One of the only flaws i found on DOL is the fact that Sau Fung might never be able to have kids...such a shame. Both Zhen Pong and Sau Fung were such great people and IMO, two people that have endured so much and yet still managed to be madly in love with one another deserves to have children. PongFung will live on my heart [along with lots of little Charrays! ]

By the way, I watched High School Musical 2 recently. Vanessa Anne Hudgens and Zac Efron had awesome chemistry and I was quite awed. Then when I surfed the net I found out that the reason they were so compatible was because they are a real life couple!

So relating that to Charray, I think that chemistry comes the best when the artists are really together =). I mean, there are sometimes those really unbelievable sizzling love that you couldn't possibly imagine could be acted out right?

Awww....that's so sweet, Ray did say he supports Charm in his blog. Actually he has already said that at an earlier interview when he was in China doing promotions for Luk Fook Jewellery. As for Best Actor - his favourite just changes every time. during the Luk fook promotion he said he supports Daimen. Then at the lighting ceremony, he said he likes "Bao Bao" in HOG. Then in his blog he said Moses is the Best Actor in his opinion. But one thing never change - Ray supports his Charmie! Yes, Range and Bittersweet I seriously think that he is speaking from the bottom of his heart, yes I seriously think that there is something between them!!!!

BTW, someone at Kuangaitvb.com posted an article in Ming Pao Magazine saying that the love between Sau Fung and Zhen Pong cannot touch anyone and they are responsible for the ratings not able to climb up in the middle part of the series. This is nonsense. All of us have noticed that there is an increasing number of Fung Pong supporters every day. And we are all touched by their love for each other.

I'm really glad that there are more and more charray fanfics that it's up lately this just show us how likeable they are together! Well I don't know how the author will know if someone have vote twice but I think the author hope that ppl will be honest for the poll, I remember from another fanfic where it had a voting too and the author figure it out that someone have voted more then once so I think they now somehow if someone have vote twice or not.

well if u are 100% sure then I don't need to re-watch that clip I trust u U are not the only one that are disapointed in the nomination list and how TVB treat charm. I mean her performance was great in DOL but she didn't get nominated for that character instead she get nominated for GD I mean she was good in there too but TDOL was totaly another level of charms acting skills I really think that TVB should put her character from TDOL in the nomination list anyway nothing we can do about it but I'm really upset that TVB have made this decision.

I totaly agree with u I think charray have come to another level in acting after TDOL they are soo great together I really hope that TVB will pair them up again to do have grat chemistry. I can't agree with u better, I can't think of other actress/actor that could have pull off the Fong Pong better then what charray have. well that is a good question I don't know what kind of taste ppl in HK have but I think the serie that are more related to "si laih" will get better ratings, but at least we all know that the ratings for TDOL in mainland was awesome and they even have TDOL for round two so i think it's a great thing for charray and TVB will understand that this couple is a great pairing and I think they will pair them up again ^^

ahhh I just watched that scoop interview with Charray. The first thing I noticed was how casual and easy the word "lam pang yau" and "lau cong" and "Lam Fung" flow out of Charm's mouth, like it's a normal when she refers to Raymond like that So sweet!
Then the second thing was Ray saying "Tai Bao". So he supported Ha Yu instead of Moses? Isn't Moses role "siu Bao" and Ha Yu the father is "Tai Bao"? I"m confuse.

So I thought up of a reason why Charm said she support Moses then Raymond. Charm said she supported Moses to not make it obvious about her feeling for Raymond even though she really support the love of her life heehee
Then after Ray heard words about it he got jealous and pout to Charmaine "Why don't you support me lah? I'm your boyfriend, husband, Lam Fung!!!"
Then Charm conforted him "aww hubby ah, I just said it on the news so that our loving relationship won't be to obvious to the reporters and spread rumors. Of course I will support my boyfriend, husband Lam Fung!" Then she kisses him on the cheek.
Then Ray pout some more but look like he's puckering his lips in kissing mode "Only on the cheek? How about I plant one on your luscious lips there, wifey." They kiss.
Then Charm said "If it make you feel better then I will tell the reporters I support Lam Fung."
Then Ray reply "I admit it make me feel so great when you mention my name and support me lah. But you have to say exactly like you said earlier, "lam pang yau, lau cong, Lam Fung!" Like that, without giggling okay dear?"
Charm said with a smile "okay dearest boyfriend, husband!"
Then they kiss some more

Yeahh i just love how Charm said it so smoothly and quickly. And if i remember correctly, this was the first time i heard Charm call Ray "husband" and it wasn't even scripted! Haha i could just hear those two call each other "hubby" and "wifey" all day! LOL! As for PongFung Love NOT being able to touch hearts? Those people need to wake up and smell their own butts! For their information, Charray IS one of the many reasons why people even chose to watch DOL (me included)! And Charray's fanbase is evergrowing, with faithful fans from all over the globe! You can find traces of Charray fans on youtube, spctv, Pong and Fung blogs on TVB, Ray and Charm's official blogs, their websites, and of course, HERE! Dear TVB,

Firstly, i'd like to applaud you for making the fabulous decision of pairing up my favourite actor and actress in The Drive of Life: Raymond Lam and Charmaine Sheh. In my opinion, both Raymond and Charmaine are one of the best, if not the best, actors and actresses in TVB as their progress and acting skills have improved astoundingly. They've both brought alive the characters of Wah Zhen Pong and Wing Sau Fung, touching the hearts of the audience. I know for a fact that many fans only watched The Drive of Life because of this fantastic pairing and many who weren't fans before became fans after watching The Drive. Their chemistry is truly unbeatable and convincingly real, slipping into OUR lives and making the audience FEEL for the characters. And that's not an easy thing to do.

Secondly, i found the character blogs on The Drive of Life's site very effective and one of the best ideas TVB has yet to come up with. It really filled in the gaps that the show itself has left and allowed the audience to really "get into their heads" and really get to know the characters. For me personally, it's as if Pong and Fung were real people...my friends. I can speak for myself when i say they've successfully touched hearts because i know...they touched MY heart. They made a TV show go from something you watch because you're bored to something SO much more, an experience, a feeling, a reality.

However, i am very VERY displeased with one thing: Charmaine not being nominated for her role as Wing Sau Fung in The Drive of Life. WHY? Wing Sau Fung is an extremely complex and deep character, constantly battling inner emotional turmoils and fighting between the verge of good and evil, revenge and love. And i think that Charmaine has done an AMAZING, SUPERB, FANTASTIC, A+ job developing and portraying this character. So i ask, WHY ISN'T SHE NOMINATED? I find the answer fairly clear yet very ridiculous: TVB is trying to clear the path for the Heart of Greed actresses, Lee See Kei and Susanna Kwan. It's evident that Charmaine's stellar acting in The Drive will cause fierce competition between the two veterans and TVB favouring the "Heart of Greed faze" doesn't want that and guarantees it will only be a monopoly Heart of Greed competition by not having Charmaine nominated for Wing Sau Fung. Sorry, but i just find that utterly unfair, unjust, and absolutely RIDICULOUS.

I can safely say that many MANY fans out there are as displeased as i am with this decision and hope that TVB will reconsider.

TVB held a lighting ceremony on Thursday, where the nominees for next months TVB 40th Anniversary Award Ceremony were announced. This has sparked great interest amongst many people and so, an online forum has already set up polls for netizens to vote for who they think will win this years television crowns.

In the Best Male Actor poll, Drive of Life actor, Raymond Lam is currently leading the way with Moses Chan following closely behind. As for the Best Female Actress, what has been predicted of Susanna Kwan vs. Lee Sze Kei has been replaced with Lee Sze Kei vs. Liza Wang. Meanwhile, last years television king and queen have failed to make it into the top three, with Kevin Cheng not having much votes and Charmaine Sheh trying to keep up at forth place.

It is evident that the main focus of this years awards is the television queen crown. During the group photo at the lighting ceremony, all leading female actresses stood in the first line, with big sisters, Liza Wang and Dodo Cheng standing right in the center. Next to them were Heart of Greeds, Susanna Kwan and Lee Sze Kei, showing that their positions in the company are extremely high. As for last years winner, Charmaine Sheh, stood besides Susanna Kwan, so it is evident that the hot favourites for this years crown are Lee Sze Kei and Susanna Kwan.

Raymond Lam is currently leading the way, in the polls, at first place, followed closely by Heart of Greeds Moses Chan. But the popularity of HOG cannot be forgotten, so there is a high chance of Moses winning from behind. Last years winner, Kevin Cheng's performance in the disliked series, Devils Disciples has earned him a nomination but unfortunately no support as he stands with no votes. As for the lead actor of next Mondays premiering drama, Men Dont Cry, Dayo Wong, he is doing well at the polls, showing that he is quite popular.

When asked if he believed that he has a good chance in winning an award this year, Moses replied, The answer is quite positive. But I have many opponents such as Ha Yu, Damian Lau, Michael Miu and Joe Ma. They are all strong contenders.

Well, I am not surprised. Seeing that she got nominated for her role in Glittering Days. She had many better performances in other serials and TVB is trying to make sure that she doesn't win again. I mean c'mon. It's 2007's Anniversary and lookie what year GD is from???

All we can hope for is Ray winning as Pong =). I bet Charmaine would feel happy for him too and wouldn't be too disappointed because she did win double awards last year! And I think she knows that she is such a big threat to the two oldies, and therefore the unfair nomination.

Oh well, let things turn out as it well and pray for more Charray!

I was a bit disappointed with the last ep of DoL. Charray were only in a tiny bit of it. That scene where Pong comes out of jail seemed strange. I mean you'd think he'd hug her straight away & say sorry for blaming her, yet he waits until she apologises & then he says it's not her fault & he realises she's also the victim.

Am very disappointed that Char didn't get nominated for her role in DoL. GD is sooo old. I mean if so many of the males in DoL got nominated, how come none of the females did. TVB gets me frustrated.

I just hope Raymond wins best make actor so that Cha gets to give him the award.

now that DOL is finished and their is no more Charray i really really miss them!! the only thing there is to do is to rewatch DOL or LWOLAP... seriously so far for the past few years there hasnt been much couples who can pull off such a great chemistry and partnership... and Charray has done such a great job... especially in DOL... they are just so convincing as a couple and so comfortable with each other.. both Charmaine and Raymond have truly brought out the acting in the opposite person..

i also hope Raymond wins best actor (though i think his chances will be small cos of Moses... but i like Moses too) and if he wins Charmaine will hand the award to him!! yay!! but i have a feeling Raymond will win fav character for Alfred in HOG... i dont think Charmaine will hand the award to him in this category though...

As TVB's anniversary is drawing closer, various awards had heated up the discussion in the discussion area, where Heart of Greed is leading The Drive of Life for "Best Series". As for the main focus "Best Leading Actor and Actress" and "My Favourite Male Character" also gained many netizen's votes expressing their opinions, as Moses Chan's "Dak Dak Dei" is leading in the "Best Leading Actor" with Raymond Lam and Bobby Au-Yeung in second and third place.
As for the "Best Leading Actress" which is also greatly popular, "Dai Kai" Lee Sze Kei is in a great lead in front of second and third place Liza Wand and Jessica Hsuan, instead, the popular "Sai Kai" Susanna Kwan in only in fifth place with only the 1/6 the amount of Dai Kai's" votes. As for "My Favourite Male Character", Raymond Lam's "Ching Leung (Alfred)" is more popular than Moses Chan's "Dak Dak Dei", thus gaining his pride back.

Love Charray, they are so cute and sweet looking together. Love them in "Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion" and love them even more in "The Drive of Life."
