WHAT!?!? The sub mv for DOL is filmed with Bernice?! Now this just make me so so mad! It would be totally logical and perfect if Charmaine is in it, but Bernice?! So no Charray duet and not even a Charray MV!?! What is going on with this world?

I just saw today's episode 41-43. Very touching episodes

[spoiler]I changed to hating Bing Yee to pitying her, especially the part where she was trying so hard not to cry when taking bridal pics with Pong. I must say her decision to leave is admirable, bot because she let Fung and Pong together but because she realized that she could not marry a man who do no love her.

I also like Ray's acting in episode 43, where he begged Fung to kill him. Haha... Pong must have become the most disappointing character, because he made two women sad. I wish they added a longer scene where he ran after Fung's taxi. A hug and they're back together?

Anyway, the saddest thing? Fung might not able to have children anymore, because of her miscarriage...[/spoiler]

i just finished watching ep43... and finally they are back together.. its a really touching ep i think.. the scene that i was talking about is also in that ep.. Raymond and Charmaine both did a great job.. now just have to wait till he proposes again and they get married!! yay!! and the canto version is out soon.. cant wait to rent it.. the feeling is going to be way better when we watch it in canto..

Thank you for giving us the site. Wow, that WAS a very powerful scene...but i agree with the rest of you. They got back together after ALL that misunderstanding and it's just one measly hug? Not even a short peck? LOL. Hey, i'm a greedy Charray fan! But both Ray and Charm had once again outdone themselves...the emotions and pain both of them expressed were so REAL. I was just like, WOW. It was so sweet when Pong was like, "I don't want to see you carry the baggages of revenge anymore. I'd rather you kill me and just get on with your life. I don't want to see you in so much pain." That really showed how much and how deeply Pong loves Fung. He'd rather Fung kill him than to see her suffer. Very very sweet. I think i fell in love with Charray all over again!! Wow, so Mainland is already up to like 40 episodes while HK is just going to start? So won't the ending be out while the rest of HK will still be watching the beginning? That sucks...they should've just broad casted it all at the same time. I swear Charray just HAVE to get awards at the ceremony this year after both of their SUPERB performances in DOL. They were both amazing and have reached another level in acting. CHARRAY FOREVER!!

Omigod, lol i'm back (see how bored i am in the summer? LOL!) and i just watched the part where Bing Yee slaps Sau Fung. OMIGOD. I think Charm did a really really great job...you could see how her expression totally clouds over when Bing Yee started talking about what a monster she was for killing her own baby. But the most TORTUROUS part has gotta be the part where Ray holds up Bing Yee's hands in his and was like "Bing Yee is my girlfriend now. If you ever try to hurt her again, you'll be dealing with ME." I wanted to slap Ray and be like "how could you say this?! This is the love of your life and can't you see how much she's suffering from all this revenge crap? She's the real victim here, not your innocent little girlfriend here!" It must've hurt Sau Fung incredibly to hear Pong say those nasty words. And then like two seconds after Bing Yee gets all macho and like "i'm not scared of you." Uh hello? Two seconds ago weren't you all soft and mushy and pitiful? So now all of a sudden you're macho woman, protecting your dear Pong?

LOL, i just had to release my frustration somehow. But yeah, gotta admit that was a really good scene. Great performances by Charm and Ray and even Myolie. DOL & Charray all the way!

I am so bummed that you guys are already seen through half of the DOL series. . . DOL will do really well, and we fans of Charray just have to email TVB to show support of Charray so that they will potentially receive future roles together. I heard it may be release on rental via DVD in the U.S. by next month but the actual date is unknown. Does anyone know of this information? I just want to see Charray scene, don't care for the rest of the movie or Myolie. I don't think Myolie and Raymond are a good fit as a couple. I do hope they end up together, and I know fans will be disappointed if they don't end up in the end. I've been watching the updates/teaser clips on sehsheh.com, which is awesome but I can't wait until it's release in Canto in the U.S.

I watched epi 43 too. And I re-watch, re-watch, re-watch for the 10th times ( I lost count, actually). It is sooooo touching. Ray and Charm's performances were just excellent. I just can't find a word good enough to describe them. The emotion is so intense and you can see the deep love between them....my poor heart aches so much when Ray and Charm cried so hard. Esp. Ray. I love how he kept saying I'm sorry, I'm Sorry to Charm and hug her so hard. And Ray's crying scenes are so powerful. I feel so sorry for them, but luckily they are back together.

As a Charray die-hard fan, of course all Charray scenes are too short for me. However, I think it is not too rushed or sudden for Charm to give up her revenge after one hug. I think her revenge this time was purely triggered by her jealousy that Bong has a new gf - Bing Yee. When Wei Ting hung first asked Charm to partner with him and take revenge on the Wah family, she hesitated. But after seeing Bing yee and Ray together, she quickly agreed. So, when she found out that Ray does care for her and still loves her, she just couldn't hate him any more. She just cannot hide her love for him and she couldn't bear to hurt someone who cares for her so much. When Ray said that he doesn't want to see her living in the burdens of hatred, making her so unhappy every day that he is willing to give up his life so that she will not be haunted by hatred any more. How could Charm not "melted" after knowing the love of her life still cares so much for her that he is willing to scarifice his life for her sake?

Really looking forward to the next episodes which will be Charray's sweet moments again!!!!! Too bad I have to go to an event tomorrow morning. Can't start watching till like 12 noon my time. Just can't wait loh.....

BTW, the Charmine parts only clips are back on shehsheh.com. The original author is too busy to continue to do it and luckily someone else has picked up the task. I saw ep. 43 last night and in parts I agree with Myhelen that maybe it wasn't too soon or too rushed for them to reconcile, but I'm not sure I entirely like the scene with Ray begging Charm to kill him. It might have to do with the Mando dub isn't so great, I'll wait to judge till I have seen the Canto version where I can understand what they are saying. Both where great acting the scene, but maybe it was the script? What I do however, love, love, LOVE is the last scene where Ray's chasing (again!) Charm in the taxi. The way Ray was hugging Charm closer and tighter and Charm was pressing herself closer into his arms - so realistic portrayed! Stunning performance, the emotions were definitely running high! Superb acting (or maybe just reality ;D) !

It was rumored that Michael was the one who gave her the 99 roses although they both denied it. LOL, i personally think Ray gave them 'cause it would be just TOO damn obvious to the press if he just showed up at Charm's party, thus to make up for it, he sent her the roses. Me and my twisted imagination .

And well, i'm not exactly a fan of Linda's but she is better than a lot of the other beauty pageant winners-turned-actresses/singers. And as you've already said yourself, they're only "rumored" and neither Ray nor her have actually said those were true. And i totally agree with you that Charray should just get together already. Honestly, they're too compatible not to be soulmates!

Proof:
1. At events/functions Ray and Charm are almost always sitting/standing next to eachother, laughing with one another, talking to eachother....etc.
2. When they were at that online chat...OMIGOD, that was just THE ultimate giveaway. Couples outfits, finishing eachother's sentences off, and the grand finale? THEY HAVE A SECRET HAND SIGNAL THAT ONLY THEY KNOW WHAT IT MEANS!! (if you haven't watched that chat, you've just GOT TO! It was like the sweetest, cutest thing in the world! And if you're not a die-hard Charray fan already, you will be!)
3. I just remembered something, at the chat, the interviewer was asking Ray if he had any feelings for Charm and instead of saying no, Ray was like "i'm not going to tell you." Hmmmmmm... =)
4. They're often spotted wearing similar outfits either in colour or style and i think there was this older pic of them wearing matching sunglasses.
5. They've already been in three series together: Yummy Yummy, Lethal Weapons of Love and Passion, and now Drive of Life!
6. In an interview Ray once said that he does not oppose to older woman-younger man relationships but the woman cannot be more than 4 years older than him (and Charm is exactly 4 years older than him.... )
7. They're just so damn compatible on-screen and off-screen!! (i LOVED that kiss in i think ep.30 where Charray were walking along that railing-less ridge and i've never seen Ray look so damn happy during a kiss (in a series). Honestly, watch if you don't believe me!)
8. In interviews and game shows (like 15/16). they're just so sweet and cute!

LOL i think there are about a million more "proof" about why Charray should just get together already. But i'm tired of typing... Charray rocks!!

But then I copied and paste the link onto Mozilla Firefox browser and the page load and I was able to download by clicking the download button. Maybe you should try that. If it still doesn't work, I'll see if I can reupload for you (I'm currently downloading a bunch of stuff at the moment and my speed isn't that great to begin with). By the way, do you notice that when mentioning events in DOL, you refer to Pong and Fung as Ray and Charm while all the others you refer to by their character's name? I really think (or chose to believe so) that those 99 roses were from Ray to Charm. Ray had to be in Australia for TVB promotion thing on Charm's birthday, so that's why he sent them roses. And he tried to hide his identiy so he chose the alias of "Michael Miu". Did you guys noticed in an interview at the airport when the cast was flying to Beijing or somthing. The three, Charray and Michael Miu, were interviewed about Charm rumors with Michael and Ray was sort of laughing (in a jealous way I think) and acting like it was the most ridiculous thing ever. They were mainly interviewing Charm and Michael, so Ray didn't have to be there but he stuck around anyway to guard (and eavedrop?) Charm. Then Micheal teased that Charray should be the one have rumores with each other and Charray were like laughing and inside thinking, heck yeah! I think Ray chose that alias of "Michael Miu" because of this incident. It's like an inside thing that only Charray know about (just like the secret hand signal). Now we all know hehehe

Speaking of hand signal thing. Does anyone remember when did Ray do that hand signal in the interview? Was it when the host ask Charm what her ideal man is like? I think so because I remember the host mistaking it was Ray poiting to himself lols So that hand signal has something to do with the love of Charm's life And Ray is related to that hehehe We should offer ideas of what we think the hand signal means. For lack of a better idea, I think Ray was indeed signalling to himself as Charm's perfect man

Their performances are so real that I think they are using true feelings in the series. So I used their own name loh. Heehee, Charray is the best! The hand signal, if i remember correctly is just Ray pointing his index finger and his thumb sticking up, like in the shape of a gun. It was just so cute when they did it in the interview and Ray and Charm just bursted out laughing!

I just saw ep 43 and was crying once again along with Charray. Their tears are so real and heartfelt I can't help but thinking Charray have cried in each other's arms before in real life. LOL, i couldn't find it at first either and then i looked again and there it was! I was pretty devasated when the original person stopped uploading them. No Charray for like 2 whole days! LOL! I just downloaded the new clips and watched them and wow. I love this series more and more....quite torturous for us Charray fans, i might add.

I really like Charmaine's character in DOL. Due to her background and how she was brought up, she always tried to be this strong, independent woman, yet she slowly learns that sometimes in life you do have to rely on others. Ep. 40-43 were so emotional and torturous for Sau Fung: she comes back and finds that the whole Wah family have moved on, including the man she loves, as if nothing has ever happened and that her existence had made no impact. Now imagine, Sau Fung who thought that she had taken the ultimate revenge on the Wah Family by canceling the wedding...but in turn, she was actually the REAL victim. She lost her husband and also her baby. Just ask any woman how you'd feel after a miscarriage. It's not something pretty, a feeling that's indescribable and a hurt that's so painful you can never truly recover from it. It's a time where a woman needs the most support from her family and loved ones. Yet, Sau Fung had to brave this all by herself, with the world misunderstanding and talking about what a 'monster' she is for killing her own baby. To add salt to the wound, she sees that Pong has moved on with Bing Yee. If you were Sau Fung, how would you feel? (i cried in that part where Bing Yee slapped Sau Fung. Pong didn't even try to stop her and he didn't even look the tiniest bit sad that his new gf just slapped the love of his life. Right then I wanted to slap Ray! And the part where Pong held up Bing Yee's hand and was like "Bing Yee is my girlfriend now, and if you ever tried to hurt her, you'll be dealing with me." I could only imagine how much that must've hurt Sau Fung. Charmaine did a really good job portraying the mixed feelings that Wing Sau Fung must've felt: the confusion, the pain, the jealousy, the anger... And ohmigod that part where Charm asked Ray if he really did love Bing Yee and he was like "Yes. You can't compare to her. She's a hundred thousand times better than you." You could just see how much those words hurt Sau Fung!

But now Charray will be back together! YAYYYYY! But i have a feeling that the Wah family won't forget what Sau Fung had done so easily...especially Pong's mother....poor Sau Fung....BTW, i hope i read the subtitles wrong, but did the doctor really say that the future chances of Sau Fung being pregnant is going to be really low?! Awww! I hope not! I wanna see Sau Fung + Pong get married and have like a bunch of kids!

[spoiler]From what the doctor said and how the storyline is heading, I think Sau Fung won't be able to have children anymore. I think Pong knew this too and he still accepted Fung because he love her. He love her so much that he is very angry and defensive when Wah family accused Fung of burning the factory. He even raised his voice at his mother (which is considered VERY unfilial in Chinese standards).

A lot pf people are disappointed with Pong because he wanted to give up his dream and immigrate to Canada with Fung (because Fung asked him, which she admit is selfish). But seeing how he defends her, I realize that Pong is 90% love, 10% ambition. Evidently since he can't live without women (Sau Fung --> Bing Yee --> Sau Fung )

Btw, Pong's mother was against them re-marrying and even boycotted the wedding ceremony in protest. [/spoiler]

Of course we welcome you here! I'm glad you change your mind about Charmaine. She really did a wonderful job portrayed the revengeful Sau Fung. I can really feel her pain when she has to go against Raymond who she really loves. I'm up to esp 43, but unfortunately I didn't understand most of the stuffs I'm watching so I'm gonna leave it to others to give you a full development of Pong & Fung story -P By the way, thank you bittersweet05 for giving me the link. I downloaded the clips and just finished watching them. I must say Ray did a superb job in those emotional scenes, he was so good it surprised me. Not that I think he wasn't good before, just that this time he really stepped up in his acting. To sum it up, great actings from both Raymond & Charmaine. Before DOL, I almost forgot how good Charmaine is at evil role, remember HSDS 2000? Anyway, I was so happy to see at the end of clip 43 Ray chased after Charm's taxi and hugged her, so sweet! It's so obvious that he still loves Charmaine deeply, the way he hugged her and how he cried in front of her, begging her to drop her revenge =( I do feel bad for Myolie though, but hey what's the point of marrying a man who doesn't love you. I think by withdrawing (did she?) from the love triangle, she did both herself and Raymond a huge favor. <Thanks sehseh for giving the spoilers! Welcome xx_alicee to the Charray thread. I am glad that you like the chemistry between Ray and Charm. I think their story in DOL is very touching. It's very complicated and very painful for them, but finally it is a happy ending. Let me try to summarize it here. Pls. note I may be a little biased as I speak from a die hard Charray fans' point of view. LOL

[spoiler]Ray and Charm got married in Las Vegas and then they came back to prepare for the wedding banquet. At this point, Charm found out that Gigi Wong has indirectly caused her mom's death while Daimen has dumped her mother and caused her to marry someone she doesn't love and thus was in pain for her whole life. Charm loves her mother too much that she has to seek revenge on the Wah family despite that means hurting the man she loves and giving up her own happiness. She waited till the wedding day and announced her intentions at the banquet. She is already pregnant with Ray's child and she used this to insult Daimen and Gigi. While she has decided to raise the child on her own, she had a miscarriage and was devastated. She then turned ruthless (I think it was out of despair and self punishment) and told Ray that she has deliberately aborted the child and will divorce him.

Ray is totally depressed and hide away from his family. Myolie has always been by his side and supports him. Finally, Ray is back with his family. Everyone is saying to Ray to accept Bing Yee and move on. Ray was touched by Bing Yee and decided to accpet her. But then, Charm came back and Wei Ting Hung has asked her to partner with him to revenge on the Wah family. Charm was hesitant but when she saw Ray and Bing Yee together, she is very jealous and decided to accept Wei's offer. She has done a few things to hinder Ray's car company from producing the new model. Actually Ray still has feelings for Charm so he tried to avoid falling for her again (because he thinks she has "killed" their child and thus coined as "ruthless woman" by everyone in his family)he asked Bing Yee to marry him. However, Ray's feelings for Charm is so deep that he cannot hold it back anymore. He dragged her to a back alley and gave her a broken bottle and ask her to kill him so as to end her hatred for the Wah family and thus will end her suffering. Charm was touched and decided to give up revenge because winning has no meaning for her when she has to hurt someone she cares so much.

Bing Yee overheard Charm's conversation with her doctor and learned that the miscarriage was an accident and it was a big blow to her. Becuase of that miscarriage, Charm may not be able to bear children any more. When she was debating whether she should tell Ray, she saw Ray and Charm hugged each other at the back alley. She realized that they both love each other and that Ray has never loved her. So she decided to retreat and left Ray a letter telling him the truth. Ray realized that he has incorrectly accused Charm so he ran to Charm and told him he was sorry and they were back together. Ray went to Beijing with Charm and at the park where he first proposed to Charm, he made his pledge again and Charm has accepted his proposal.

However, becasue of the past incidence, Charm and the Wah family doesn't get along very well. While Charm is trying very hard to learn to forget and accept, it was not easy. so Charm asked Ray to immigrate to Canada with her after they got married. Wah's family especially Gigi is still very biased against Charm and with the "help" of Joe Ma, who has set fire on the factory and setup Charm so as to force Ray and Charm to leave.

Ray stood behind Charm firmly and Charm was touched by him and decided to stay in HK/China so that he can complete his vision and dream of making and selling a 100% made-in-China car to the world.

At this time, Wei Ting Heng is dying of brain cancer and he has decided to leave his estates for Daimen's company and asked Charm to be the trustee of his will. He tried to get rid of Joe Ma before he died because he knew about his ambition and wicked deeds. However, he failed and he died. [/spoiler]

That is what it's up to epi 46. I am really touched by how understanding and supportive Ray is for Charm and how Charm has sacrificed and changed herself for Bong. I can tell that they really treasure each other as both know how much they have gone through to get back together. Ray and Charm's performance is just superb. The love between them is just everywhere on the screen.

I'm guessing it's rumor too about Raymond and Linda. I can't wait to watch DOL when it gets release in the U.S. but that's going to be a long wait for us. Is everyone in this forum from China/HK? I went to TVU player, and DOL is available on CCTV8 but I don't think I could download or watch the series in the U.S. since the time is 3 am and it didn't seem to work when I had made the attempt. CCTV8-US only worked for me but it's hopeless until it gets release in Canto.

You are correct about their matching outfit via chat interview. I saw the interview several times, and it was an interesting interview. Charm and Ray seems very comfortable w/ each other, and it such a HUGE coincidence that they dressed exactly alike, and I have noticed on other photo shoot that they are standing/sitting next to each other or dressing almost the same color. Not many couple could do that, my husband and I could barely dress same colors at any time unless I pick out the outfits for him and myself. I think initimate relationship are hidden well among the celebrities in TVB bc I think Ray had mentioned it was forbidden among each other (don't know why TVB would make such a rule bc in the past -- Felix Lau, Michael Mui, Tony Leung, Carina Lau, etc have dated their colleagues.). Charm and Ray have a strong on-screen chemistry than Linda/Tavia. Isn't TVB taking a poll who makes a cute couple (i thought i heard this through one of the forums?)?

Does anyone know how to register for the shehsheh fan club? I can't read chinese, and I had translated the website but can't log in due to secret code being hidden. (Help needed if you know how to so I could see some of the DOL clips). Is the entire show via online or just clips of Charray? I'm already feeling sad to hear about epi 43 and how Ray hurts her w/ those words bc of Bing Yee (Bing Yee provoked the conversation but bringing up the loss of her baby, and that's uncall for. Ray should of listen to the entire story rather than siding w/ Bing Yee.) I agree that Charm is the victim in the movie (well at least her character is).

I am wondering what's the feedback of TVB version of DOL in HK. Hope the ratings will be good. I hope Ray can get a TVB award this year because I think his acting is just wonderful in DOL. As for Charm, I certainly wish she could get an award again, but it is not a normal thing to happen in TVB history. Well, if she does get it, this means TVB loves her loh. I know it is kinda early to think of that, but hey, November is only 4 months away!

Do you mean register on shehsheh.com or register for the fanclub on shehsheh.com? If you are just registering for the website/forum, you should be able to see the "secret code" because it is all numbers. If you meant the added security question, you don't need to include that if you don't want to. If it is for the actual fanclub, I can't help lah since I haven't registered.

And if you meant the link to the Charmaine only clips is hidden, you just need to reply and the link will be shown.

But after watching some of the eps. (Mando) today, I have a serious hatred for Joe!! The way he set-up Charmaine, BOTH times! It's all his fault what happened to Damien. He is above and beyond the most hateful, pitiful and worthless character in my opinion. His uncle and Charmaine at least had some excuses for their revenges but Joe, come on, just because he has low self-esteem and is greedy, he's ruining the lives of many AND have absolutely ZERO qualms about hurting his loved one! I love this one! At first it looked like both Damien and Ray are kissing Charm on the cheeks...now that would be awkward...seems like Charm has "charmed" both father and son.

Wow, i just watched the opening MV for The Drive of Life, TVB's version and it's SOOOO cool! Honestly, the graphics and design and well just everything is better than CCTV's version. Go watch it on SehSeh's blog if you haven't already!

charlie+: lol, glad to hear i'm not the only one. At first i thought it was just my computer being stupid again but yeah, i have the same problem as you. I could only download ep.44 which was really short but for the rest of them my transfer rate was sooooo slow it would've taken me like 5 hours to download one clip. I just watched the Charray wedding scene, I was so touched and I cried. I am so happy for them. AFter so much pain and misunderstanding, they could finally be together. Just couldn't express how happy I am. I am happy to see that all the guests there Sheren, Daimen, Michael and Liu King San are very touched and truly happy for them. Forget those cunning and stubborn people lah. What is important is that 2 lovers can finally be united. Bravo!!

The opening themesong of TVB version is soooo coool!! Much much better than the CCTV version. After seeing this, I have much more confidence about the TVB version!!!!!

LOL, since i couldn't download the newest Charray clips, i went on youtube and watched Charray on that gameshow 15/16. Love how they're so compatible and it was so cute when Charm said her little phrase thingy at the beginning and Ray was so enthusiastic about it, saying "Ho!" like really loudly. So I'm not the only one having problem downloading from that site. I tried downloading but the rate are so slow like 3 kb and then it disconnected right in the middle. I agree that the TVB opening clip was way way cooler than the CCTV one! I love the part featuring Charm with her slender hand connecting to Ray by a smoke ribbon. That's so cool!

Good news, I tried to download the clips from shehsheh.com again and this time it worked. It was a bit slower than usual but the bit rate was a lot faster (mine was running at 88KB/sec, not bad at all)

I agree the TVB themevid is really cool, and it really shows how much time, money and effort TVB has put into the serie. I have no doubt anymore that DOL will get much better ratings than Heart Of Greed. In my opinion, HOG was actually a pretty crappy production, everything was rushed, and storylines were underdeveloped. The only redeeming factor was Ray but as you all know, he died - not to mention the fact that he was coupled with a lousy "actress" Linda Chung! When you watch his scenes with her and compare with his scenes with Charmaine there's a world of difference. It really matter if your opposing actor/actress can act or not, and if you have chemistry and that goes for on-screen romances as well as non-romantic relationships. Like Raymond has great chemistry with Jessica, Damien and Gigi make them a much more believable family!

Yeah, I watched HOG and saw nothing really special about that series. Nothing comparable to DOL! Linda Chung is nothing comparable to Charm. I think Charray have the most chemistry of all. I may be bias but it's true hehehe

watched the wedding scene last night.. decided to watch it live cos i couldnt help myself.. and it was sweet.. although only like a few ppl turned up but they were just so happy to finally be with each other.. it was really touching.. talk about the TVB opening theme.. its really cool.. i love it.. way better than the CCTV one.. it just has a different feel towards it.. i like Charmaine does some hand movement with a streak of light and passes it on to Raymond.. so great..

one other thing i love about Pong is that he is soo 100% supportive of Fung.. during the court case he trust her so much when pretty much everyone else doesnt... so awesome!!
