I'm just wondering if there is anyone out there that doesn't like Show... I mean how can ppl not like him... u don't have to love him but i don't think anyone out there would hate him... he's too talented in so many ways... i personally can't find a reason not to like him...

I started this thread because I was kind of hurt by what my friend said... she said that there are ppl out there that HATES Show.. it's something i can't accept... and i'm really hurt by it...
we got to this topic because i was talking to her about how i really don't like 5566... don't get it wrong here 5566 fans... i'm just personally against 5566... sorry if i offended any 5566 fans...

this thread is kinda begging for people to bash Show Luo. (but i hope it doesn't happen though) Everyone has the freedom to like or dislike anyone. I'm pretty sure there are people that don't like him, or i KNOW there are people that don't like him. but hey. that's their loss..;b hahaha

i personally am TRULY amazed by him. he puts in a massive amount of to make himself a better celebrity/entertainer. and he never ceases to surprise his audience. for someone that's been in the entertainment business for 13 years, and still have his popularity stay fairly high, is pretty amazing. I mean, sure, there were times where he wasn't as "popular" or what not, but it's hard for an artist to make as big of a comeback as he did.

i don't think people should HATE him...or hate ANY celebrity, for that matter...they all deserve a chance because they've worked their way to become who they are. . . you can dislike his dancing, his singing, his acting, his hosting, or his humor... but one thing you can't is overlook the hard work he has put in into becoming one of the few younger all-around versatile entertainers of Taiwan.

i cant find a reason for not liking SHOW. he is simply so talented. hecan sing, dance, act, host and his sense of humours is just so good. all his actions nv fails to make me laugh.

furthermore, all these years he has been putting so much effort in improving himself, and im very impressed. in the past when he was in the band, not much ple know him, some even criticised him. but now with all the efforts he put in he has make his fame.
im sure for one thing that over these years he has grown more handsome

He is good looking, very nice to his fans, very sweet actually =D he can sing, he can dance, he can compose, he can act, he can tell the world most lamest joke in the best way "gia gia" haha!!, he is the king of imitations, he can host damn well, he is very tight lipped about things which are secretive and about his friends personal lives, he knows how to make concerts damn good...

now to find so many qualities in one single person is damn hard... yet Show makes it easy... over the last 12/13 years he is an extremely hard worker, his self taught piano allowed him to compose and scare da shits outta me when he perfromed a damn nice piece at his concert... his voice is beautiful... he can sing quick and slow songs and be a totally different person due to the song.... I don't hate him too! But I am not a big fan of his, because I don't listen to his songs and don't watch his dramas... I've only watched Entertainment 100% occassionally and his hosting is damn funny!!! Yeah sometimes he tries to give a hard time on the guests, but that's what makes him cute... I would prefer seeing hosts like him than hosts who stand by a side and speak hardly 10 lines in a whole show... Xiao Gui and him seriously make a good team... oh no, shall I say Show and ANYBODY could make a good team... hehe... I see he is good friends with almost every artists he knows, except for that bit of 5566 issue...

I agree with all of you, I like Show because he is just amazing; he sings, acts, dance, hosts, and god knows what other great talents we have yet to see from him. He is very hard-working, and very focused with everything he does, if he's not good at something, he will set his mind to improving. He has already showcased many of his great talents through his works over these years, and many of us have seen his talents, and his abilities and determination to learn even more than he is already capable of. It is this reason that he has so many fans and admires; he is clearly multi-talented, he has the passion and determination to do even more, and with such a lovable personality that is able to bring laughter and joy to people, this is why he has stayed in this very tough industry for so long, it's artists like him whom have the potential to stay on much longer in this very demanding industry.

However, Linda is right about how every artist has his/her fans and dislikers...though to us, we may think that Show is brilliant, truly amazing, and there's really NOTHING to dislike about him. But believe it or not, there are bound to be people out there who disagree with us because they see and feel differently to us. We may not know the exact reason why they dislike Show, and even if we do, we may think they're lousy and irrelevant reasons, but the point is that they do dislike him, maybe even it's for no reason at all. Or maybe it's because there's a particular aspect of him which they don't like...I have a friend who doesn't like Show because she thinks he's a bad singer, and I know someone else who doesn't like him because his style is always similar to other singers...so there's all different possible reasons, it just depends on every individual's opinions.

Sorry I'm a bit behind with some Show gossip. What's between Show and 5566?

Anyway...I find Show to be a very appealing person. He's someone that you find VERY hard not to like. Show is such a dork which makes him soooooo cute! I love watching him on 100% Entertainment cause he just cracks me up. Really a very funny guy. I admit, I'm a new found fan of Show's. In the past, I've heard some of his songs and watched him of 100% Entertainment and I just liked him a bit. But after listening to Speshow and especially after watching Corner*With Love, I absolutely ADORE this guy. Show did such a good job in this drama that I rewatched CWL for a second time. It was really disappointing when the Rainie Show came to Sydney and not Melbourne in March. I would've love to see Show in concert!

I dont know too much about him (he's been in the entertainment circle for 13years?!?) but his acting was pretty good in Corner with love and i've have seen him on some tv shows and he's really funny as well . So yeah hes a really likeable person

I dislike Show. Or at least, I don't like him.

It's mainly because of first impressions... 13 years ago, when he was in this four-person group (I forget their name, but they basically did impressions of the Four Heavenly Kings of Hong Kong) and later on when he was in Romeo... he was so "chou pi" and really into his own looks. I watched a lot of episodes of Zhang Fei's old entertainment show, Long Xiong Hu Di, and every time Show appeared, he just gave off the impression of being really arrogant and into himself, and he'd always try to hog camera/air time. For example, whenever the host would ask questions of the group (even to a different member), Show would cut in and finish the answer or just answer for the other member. Whenever the host asked which member was the most talented (they always ask this... and group members are really just supposed to either say good things about each person or laugh it off), he'd ALWAYS say himself. Also, at that time in Taiwan, there were four "little" heavenly kings... Takeshi Kaneshiro, Jimmy Lin ZhiYing, Alec Su YouPeng, and Nicky Wu QiLong... he looked a bit like Jimmy Lin (I liked all of the four, but Jimmy was my favorite at the time), so I actually started out thinking I would LIKE Show when I first saw him... but he just didn't seem to treat any of the group members well (later in Romeo, too)... and he was seriously a huge camera hog. And he'd constantly talk about himself and how talented and handsome he was.

Now, his attitude has probably improved since then, mainly because it took him a LOT of years in the entertainment industry before he really achieved fame/recognition... probably a good six or seven years... it can make a person change. Although I said I dislike Show, I don't hate him to the point of, say, boycotting any of his shows. I think he's quite funny... a decent host, but sometimes 100% Entertainment can get a bit boring for me. (To clarify, though, I think most Taiwanese variety shows are boring now... compared to the ones from a decade ago... so it's not necessarily his fault.) I don't think he's that great of a singer, and his style of music doesn't fit my tastes, but I wouldn't say he's untalented... he's clearly a good dancer and performer, and he does have some songs that I DO like. I still don't like seeing him mugging in magazines because, most of the time, he seems to be acting kind of cutesy, making sort of eerily male versions of Rainie Yang's faces... maybe as a leftover from the days when I was REALLY annoyed by him, I just don't find him attractive. I don't mean to say that I don't understand how other people can find him attractive; clearly, when I FIRST saw him those many years ago, I thought he was good-looking... but it was kind of spoiled for me.

People MAY ask me to give him another chance... I do think I have, and his music style just doesn't fit mine. I don't think I'll ever LIKE Show (because of my very deep first impression, because of the way he takes out his anger/resentment toward 5566's manager-- who used to be Show's manager many years ago, FYI-- on 5566, whom I LOVE... the most infamous story is that he and Tony Sun XieZhi exchanged numbers once, and, when XieZhi called him, it was a fake number), because I just don't like his style of music, because I STILL think he's narcissistic-- although less so than years ago, etc.), but I think I'm pretty open to watching his shows and listening to his music. I'm fine with his having fans and fame; he's worked hard to get there, and it's true that, especially compared with those celebrities around the same age as he... he's definitely got a special spot in the entertainment business. There are very few celebrities who can still imitate other celebrities well (one aspect of Taiwanese entertainment that I miss horribly), and I think he's a pretty comedic actor, based on the parts of Hi! Working Girl that I've seen. He seems to constantly be trying to better himself, which I do applaud... but he's just not for me.

I can't say I hate him....but I think his singing's pretty crap. He has no musical talents watsoever except for his dancing. I saw him sing live once, and he was SO bad. He ran out of breathe after a few lines, even though the song he sang didn't require that much singing. He was basically singing things like "yo" "yea" "uh-huh" and even with that he sang so out of breathe and off-tune that he just gave up halfway and danced through the entire song.

So yea I think he should just stick to hosting cuz he's clearly NOT a good singer.

coz i haven't seem Show run out of breath dat easily... might be hilarious to watch actually. because he does use the recorded version for certain bits but all i know most are actually live singing... you can hear him breathing hard at times...

and at the concert he was definately singing live... so if you have the clip of him running out of breath it would realli appreciated ^^ (posting it on his official forum to annoy him and make him come and read my thread is my main idea hehe!!! yes i am evil.... =D)

i agree, i do admit that he is not a 'great' singer, but he is still improving! n i have seen him sing live b4 n he's actually quite good sometimes, he sings his songs with feeling! though sometimes he does sing off tune, n goes out of breath quickly, but he is improving, he is better now than he was in the past that's 4 sure! his voice is soft, that's just how his voice is...some singers naturally have softer vocals, while others have much stronger vocals...2 some ppl, they may think Show's voice is 2 "weak", but in my opinion, i think he's voice is still good; it's soft n melodic, he can still sing different types of music, n sometimes he is quite good when he sings live, but only with slow songs...usually he would lip synch if he has 2 sing n dance at the same time. there r also times when Show becomes emotional while he sings live, n that of course would impact on his performance.
but NO doubt he is awesome at everything else he does! he is gr8 at dancing, acting, hosting, n he has a gr8 sense of humor!

well there is no perfect person in the world... he's too talented in too many areas... therefore i guess his singing lacks a lil i guess... but it's good enough for me...

well at least when he goes out of breath... we konw he is singing live... what would u prefer sing live and go out of breath.. or lipsync and have a perfect performance...

out of breath for him is just too normal.. he is always dancing when he is singing... have ney of us tried to dance and sing... oh man i can barely breathe after wat a minute or so... but he rarely does... i have seen his concert and he is so damn fit that he doesn't run out of breath... some songs he has the backup vocals for certain parts of the song... just check out on youtube for the posts...

but if there is a clip of him srsly going outta breathe, i wanna see.. coz i have never seen dat side of Show... but then it so totally depends on the song.. if he is hot dancing to jin wu men then meh... but if it is slow... then i doubt it coz his slow songs are always beautifully done... anyways I don't hate show or anything but he really doesn't stand out as a performer for me.. my judgement might be a little inaccurate since I've only seen one of his stage performance (which is this year's new year performance) and his serie corner with love. and they both dont really impress me. He failed to communicate this character's emotion to me and his acting appears a little bit too forced. and his new year performance was okay, his singing don't really arose anything in me either.

I agree that he isn't a very good singer. He went out of tune when singing Ai Zhuan Jiao. And he can't sing and dance at the same time. But oh well, no one is perfect right? I rather watch him dance and go out of tune then to watch him dance and lip sing. Even if he does lip sing, he admits it! LOL. Brave dude :D

yes he admits he was lip singing.. and he usually apologises as well.. coz he knows ppl wanna hear the live.......but so far ever since his speshow album got released... almost all of his performances are live... and i must admit he is getting realli good at jin wu men dancing and singing...no out of breaths as well...

Yep, i think he did improve on his acting. And yes yes, he did sort of went out of tune at the high notes. I haven't been to his live concert before or listen to him live (except that Ai Zhuan Jiao thing, it was during a countdown party?) so i dont really think i can judge his live fairly. Haha. But i still love this guy!

i love show! i think he's really talented! great actor, dancer and host! although his singing still needs some improvement, but hey, we're only human, no one is perfect! we can't expect ourselves to be great at everything we do! but show's great in a way that he always focuses on improving each and every time. and i really respect and appreciate him for being honest...there are alot of artists out there who act 'fake' and always trying to deny their flaws and think that they're better than they actually are. but Show is not afraid to admit all his weak points, if he is not good at doing something, he is not afraid to admit it and would even apologize just for not being good! you rarely come across stars like him!

You feel EXACTLY the same way about Show as I do. For different reasons though because I don't necessarily have your background or experience in Taiwanese entertainment.

For starter's, I don't like people criticising me for not getting to give the artist a chance or not spending all my time watching every drama he's ever been in and then making a decision. For the record, I HAVE listened to SpeShow but have NOT watched/heard Show sing live; I have NOT watched any of his dramas; I have only watched him interact with guests on 100% Entertainment (which I'm quite fond of) and in other brief news clips from OTHER shows...

With that said...

Yes, I do not intensely dislike Show, but there is something about him that I do NOT find appealing. I don't know if it's because of his direct nature or my soft spot for Xiao Gui but I always find Show to be funny but in the kind of funny that borderlines rude... and I find that very very dissuading. I don't know if it's because of his public personality and image where he has to push that very direct and blunt personality... but I certainly don't like it. I do enjoy his chemistry and interaction with Xiao Gui on 100% Entertainment though...

But I certainly do not like Show. His singing leaves something to be desired -- although I do find several of his songs catchy -- they are nothing I would put on repeat. He's a funny guy, but he's a funny guy who's jokes and acts get real old real quick and start to feel mean after awhile rather than just joking around. I don't know if it's just the way he presents himself -- with that vaguely cocky air around him -- or because of his public persona. Sometimes (just sometimes) I'll look at him and he'll have that smirk on his face that'll be all like "Yeah, I'm the best and you know it" and that's quite unappealing to me. Somehow, I'm reassured that he's not like that and it's just part of his public image... but that doesn't make me feel anymore comfortable about the fact, y'know?

I don't really find him very cute at all... and I don't think I've been either exposed to him enough or he is just simply not convincingly "dorky" enough as other people said. I dunno. I just don't find him very real and down-to-earth... although many many people would probably argue with me otherwise. I dunno... I find Show to be a very very VERY funny guy and I do appreciate and enjoy that... but nope, not a fan at all.

Meh, I don't think Show is particularly rude or mean to the guests on his show... but then again, maybe I'm used to hosts like Stephen Colbert from the U.S. BUT I must disagree on one point... he's feuding with Sun DeRong. Quite frankly, he has every reason to. It seems that everybody keeps ignoring the fact that Sun DeRong is Show's old manager, and they have some beef stretching back many years. Therefore, Show does not respect him, and Sun DeRong, after all, does not respect anyone.

What I dislike is that it's clear Show does not respect the artists under Sun DeRong, either... after all, how is purposely giving Tony Sun XieZhi a fake phone number respectful? I am fairly certain XieZhi did nothing to him to warrant that; if XieZhi had not wanted to talk to/hang out with/get to know Show, he would never have called the number and discovered it was a fake in the first place, right? The only J-Star I've ever heard him say anything remotely nice about is Wang RenFu, and that was when the news was leaked the RenFu's girlfriend was pregnant.

I was not aware of those rumors about Show giving Tony a fake number...but like mentioned, if they are "enemies", then I wouldn't be surprised...though I admit that giving someone a fake number isn't very respectful, but it just depends on the circumstances and what sort of connection these people have. It would not be as serious if these people are not on good terms with each other. I don't think there's any rumors of tensions between Show and any of the other J-stars apart from Zax and Tony, but I think he has patched things up with Zax now, I'm not sure about Tony though. After all, in my previous post, I mentioned that, even though I personally don't like Show, I don't think he's a particularly rude or mean person. My impression is that, if not well-loved by EVERYONE, he's certainly respected... and I actually haven't heard of a lot of artists disliking him or anything... he definitely seems to have a good circle of friends.

I could see Show and Zax getting into a fight... simply because Zax is, himself, one of those more controversial, "cross-the-line" people; it'd be fairly easy for the two of them to offend each other. I also think they're "okay" with each other now... but Tony is a different story. I just don't think Tony ever did anything to Show; he's NOT that type of person. He's always very responsible and polite; as the leader of 5566, he is always trying to patch things up... for example, when Sun Zhong put down F4 three years ago and praised 5566, Tony was the one who immediately spoke up and talked about how much he admired the guys of F4 (and their talents)... Anyway, that's why I think Show just did that to Tony because of Sun Zhong... which is why I'm like about the phone number thing. I'm fairly certain the fake phone number incident DID happen; they always tease Tony about it on WQYL... he just shrugs it off.

I really couldn't say if Show has ever done/said anything about any other J-Stars. What I do know is that J-Stars NEVER go on 100% Entertainment... but that's probably more due to Sun Zhong (as in, Sun Zhong probably doesn't want them to go on) than to Show.

Aside: You guys seem to know a lot about Show... do you know if Show hates Sun Zhong because he liked the OTHER member of Romeo? Or was Show the favored member of Romeo? I heard Jacky Wu ZongXian (Xian ge) talking about how Romeo (Show's former group) broke up because of their manager playing favorites, but he didn't go into any specifics. It was interesting because it came up while he was interviewing 183Club... and then, right afterward, it came out that Sun Zhong heavily favors Tony and Zax in Jungiery (This was an old interview... so it was before Ming Dao's popularity shot up)

I'm not sure what really driven this wedge between S and the j-stars in the first place, but I did read somewhere a long time ago about S disliking SDR because of his past, I think SDR might've had a bad past, but the J-stars defended their boss...so that MIGHT have started the whole feud...but I'm not sure, maybe there's other reasons I don't know. I heard that SDR used to be a criminal, but I don't know about the credibility of that...whatever he was in the past, he was probably a bad person in one way or another, and he still is so Show has every right to dislike and despise him.
Maybe Show gave Tony the fake number when he was still on bad terms with Zax, he might have resolved his differences with Tony by now...but they are still keeping their distance from each other because of SDR; I think if the j-stars were able to go on 100% Ent, then they probably would, but it's because of SDR's disapproval that's preventing them from going on each other's shows.

i DO like show a lot...he's very funny and his impersonations crack me up...

but i do have to say he can come across quite rude sometimes..especially hosting on ylbfb...and the way he sorta embarasses celeb guests..

like i said b4, that's only just 4 "xiao guo" to make the show more interesting n fun.

he can be a bit annoying some times but its just an attempt to make the show funny and most of the times he is really funny and in corner of love hes so funny!LOLS!

yeh i understand most of it is for entertainment and it does make the show THAT much more interesting and funny to watch.
(even i watch ylbfb when there isnt a guest i like on it just to watch for him)

but sometimes there is a limit to how far u can go...and occasionally its awkward to see how uncomfortable the guest is...

i think it's not only Show himself who exaggerates, the show's producers love 2 make the show more interesting, they love to make their guests awkward or nervous, it makes the show more interesting.
Some ppl may think that Show may seem somewhat "rude" to the guests sometimes, but really, i think it's the show's producers who want him 2 act that way just 2 keep the ratings steady...i mean, Show's not as exaggerated on other shows as he is on 100% Ent.

well, if he didn't exaggerate, do you think that the show would be nice? like i remember reading someone's post here on how he seems 'arrogant'(like praising himself and all..) and i don't think so. well, you wouldn't like to interview artistes who gives you monosyllabic answers right? I would fall asleep even watching, not to mention the person interviewing. just that maybe the hosts did not know him that well and perhaps show expected some reactions from them but didn't, so in the end, he became 'arrogant' to many people.

well, i THINK so.

He uses the "arrogance" to keep communication and interation with the interviewer. And no one likes Sun De Rong, he just criticises ppl, rude and plain mean.. even ppl outside his management or control.

welll even if he did give a fake phone number or seomthing... it's all past... everyone of us has done something wrong.. he prb regrets it now... i just know he's kind of mean in a friendly way to xiao zhong like when they have dai fen bi jiao hong.... hahaah... when he was like 四大天王 they were under Sun De Rong.. notice the number... ahhaha... he changed management because like SDR wasn't paying him properly... and they went to court and later thing were settled outside of court... SDR prb dislike Show because he prb had to compensate him outside of court inorder not to officially go into court and fight... not exactly sure though..

that SDR is a horrible manager...for heaven's sake. the way he treats artistes that aren't under his management....>.< eww.

by the way, show has nothing to be hated about. except maybe some people had seen him for the first time on 100% ent., as he loves to act arrogant and exaggerate in there. but that actually made people laugh. well, he is not arrogant for one thing i know.

uhh... why exactly do u hate him? Like... do u just dislike his looks? what does he do specifically that u hate so much? show off? I think it's like his job... cause he's like a comedian. I personally like him. He's cute =)

I think there's already a thread asking for his haters. I don't hate him though. I am a mild fan, but I do enjoy his hosting and acting. I mean, he really makes a good host, and I see some similiarity between him and Jacky Wu. Both are quite rude at times, but I don't really have a problem with that. I'm pretty much used to his style of hosting and it would be weird if he doesn't make a joke out of the guests.
