i can't believe she's in EEG ..I think she can do so much better lol, if you watch the clips below..you can see her voice isn't made to sing these pop songs..well to me anyways. She should sing more songs that are R&B like 高手�招 (even though that is a remake hehe).

thanks for starting this topic. I still remember when she was in the contest with vincy. I think she won but Vincy got promoted. Well I really liked her at that time, I thought that she would be like another Janice but stupid EEG had to make her do fast songs and come out sexy, who not just let the girl sing. It's not like theres no one in the company thats already selling sexy, theres Yumiko. Well I think she would do really good singing some inspirational songs.GO SHERMEN!! =]

EEG's 2 Newcomers: Sherman Chung & Ken Chung

EEG have held a press conference for their two new contracted singers, Sherman Chung and Ken Hung. Their colleagues, Joey Yung and Twins were also at the event to support the two newcomers. In the eyes of Joey, Gillian Chung and Charlene Choi, Ken is a very shy person, who also blushes a lot. Joey then gave Ken medication and explained that it is because Ken gets sick on long plane trips. On the other hand, Twins gave Sherman a bikini which is suppose to remind her that there are 3 important things she must do in the industry: sing well, dance well and be modest.

Yeah, her looks reminds me a bit of Jill or Janice as rhey're Twins, lol. But I think it's just because of her nose ring and her sharp chin. Like the picture in the first post.
I think she's an alright singer. Pretty good for a newcomer and quite a few of HK singers cant really sing but she sounds quite good. And she actually sing good live. I think EEG needs to prmote her more because I havent seen much of her. She has quite a sexy look too.

I actually love her slow songs because her low voice causes the slow song to be more emotional. I can already see her turning into something like Joey Yung, able to handle both fast and slow songs.

I like her skin tone ! She's very pretty ... does anyone know the link to her blog ??? & is she really with Steven ???

i actually don't see the resemblence between her and the vidal twins, but i do think that she is pretty...and her deep voice is a very nice compliment to her ballads...compared to vincy, i think that sherman's vocals aren't as good, which is probably the reason why EEG decided to promote vincy before sherman, but i like her style and her song 堡壘 has been stuck in my head for days

Mani Fok Making Sherman Chung a Star; Not Because of Gillian Chung

Yesterday Sherman Chung held an autograph session in Tai Po. EEG executive Mani Fok was there to give her support.

Mani jokingly said that she usually reminds Sherman that she needs to diet and slim down a bit and to keep a smile on her face. Mani told Sherman that she will have a chance to become the second queen under her management if she worked hard. So that is why they are investing a lot of resource onto Sherman. The reporter asked if those resources were taken away from Gillian. Mani said: “Gillian is doing well. After her studies, she will go onto a new stage in life. I feel it is time for her to have a more mature image. She can’t stop and stay at a young girl stage. I saw her performance and I am confident in her. (“Will she be working overseas?”) There is a possibility for that. Currently there are some western films interested in her.” The reporter asked if Gillian will replace Isabella Leong? Mani said: “It doesn’t count. The two have the same potential.” The reporter hounded Mani on other questions related to Isabella but Mani expressed that she won’t respond to it. The matter is in the lawyer’s hands now.

Sherman’s mom personally came to the autograph session to seek her signature. This surprised Sherman and is immediately gave her mom a hug.

Jason Chan Jokes that Yumiko Cheng is Old

Yumiko Cheng, Ken Hung, Jason Chan, Sherman Chung, Pakho Chau and Chelsea Tong attended the premiere for their movie “Love Is Everywhere”( 愛情萬歲 ) last night. Yumiko was arranged to talk first about her experiences in filming this movie. This led Jason Chan to joke that she was the oldest so had to talk first. The reporter asked Yumiko whether she mind’s him teasing her? She replied “I’m used to it. He is a funny guy and likes to make a fun atmosphere. We are actually good friends. While filming I got to know him well. I am a nice person therefore will not tease him of being short”.

Ken Hung expressed that he not only had a kissing scene with Yumiko in the movie but also had to wash her feet. He complimented that she had a pair of soft and beautiful shaped feet, no bad odours just a fresh soapy smell. Yumiko immediately laughed that she didn’t wash her feet especially for filming as she has a bath everyday.

Sherman Chung fell over and hides her sexiness
The reporter asked Sherman whether she asked her rumoured boyfriend Steven Cheung (SunBoyz) personally to attend and support her. She immediately felt akward and explained that it was company arrangements. Also that he came to support everyone.
Asked if she would ask Steven for feedback afterwards? She replied that she will ask all the experienced actors for feedback of her performance.
The reporter then focused on her outfit as to why she was covered up? “Originally I was going to show part of my legs but earlier I fell over in the street and injured my foot. That is why I am wearing stockings.

Isabella Leung has launched an attack at EEG; What other Artistes say?

Isabella Leung has officially announced an complaint accusing the company for asking her to sign an unfair and harsh contract while she was under age. Also stated how she was forced to do some things outside her contract that were extremely unreasonable. Earlier this month, Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG) had officially filed a lawsuit against Isabella Leung. Ordering to terminate all her work related to the entertainment circle until her contract with EEG expires.

Isabella spoke for the first time yesterday officially announcing a complaint and attacking EEG. She complained of the law suit and her contract details. The details including EEG claiming 40-50% commission from her earnings. Also how her management had forced her to do some unreasonable things outside her work contract. She claimed that she felt she was being used and this had caused her to lose trust in her management company.

Artists being asked about the Case

Niki Chow : Stated that she has never done anything outside her contract. She claimed that if you feel something is unreasonable you can instantly say “No”.Before she signed her contract papers she had her lawyer beside her. She fully understands the terms and conditions of the agreement.

Gigi Leung: “Have not received or done any work outside of my contract. When I first got into the industry I did not have a lawyer with me while signing the papers. But I was very fortunate as my first record company “Fuk Lung” had always been supportive and never asked me to do anything outside my work contract. However I didn’t mind going to social events with colleagues”.

Paul Wong: “Everyone who says they are under some forced pressure has a different opinion about the situation they are in. “ When Paul first got in the industry he didn’t want to apply any make up but was forced to. He didn’t want to change into 7 different outfit’s for a photo shoot but would still go ahead as he no choice.

Fiona Sit: Fiona does not want to comment on Isabella’s case. But she has never had to do anything unrelated or outside of her work contract. Her Record company has not interfered with her dating. As long as it did not affect her work. However, she is very comfortable with her management as her Uncle manages her work.

Kenny Kwan: “The incident is being dealt with by the company. Isabella has not discussed this matter with me personally therefore I have no reason to comment. (Do you agree with Isabella about the company earning too much commission? ) “That question is different for every individual. I think it’s fair as I originally had nothing. EEG had invested a lot of money on me. “ (Would you say Isabella is a traitor?) Kenny states he hopes things will be resolved soon. Asked whether he has to do things outside his contract? “The company job arrangements are fair and reasonable. I have not had to do anything outside my work contract or anything unrelated”.

Ken Hung: Hopes that this incident will end soon and that everyone can continue with their normal lives. As a friend he will wish her the best but will not make any comments. “If I have a problem I will try to resolve the matters calmly by discussing over it. “ Ken proclaims he thinks the contract is fair because the Company had invested a lot on him and made him a star. Also while signing the contracts it was written in black and white and everything was fully clear.

Sherman Chung: She stated that before she signed the papers of her contract a company colleague explained the terms and conditions of the agreement very clearly. Her lawyer had also seen the contract and considered it to be very fair and reasonable. She also hopes this incident will be over soon and be peacefully resolved.

I think it's great that she released a second album so fast! And she's really the rare one who can handle fast songs. Will be expecting more variety of songs from her.

Finally gotten the chance to listen to Sherman's new album and it was better than her first one. The songs chosen are really good, especially loved 我的青春幽灵. I found that it was a pretty hard song to sing but she did really well!

themissingpiece: Yup, I agree with you that the friendship between them are so lovable! It's nice to see that the newcomers being such good friends even though they are from different companies! Seems like it is only last year newcomers that we see such things, reminiscient of Capitol Artiste.

Sherman Chung went boating with her fans yesterday to celebrate her birthday beforehand.Her own sister was also present at the party,fans noted that Sherman's sister resembled her very much.

Sherman Chung received a birthday cake that weighs 4 pounds and a pair of pink swinsuit from her warm-hearted fans,apart from these birthday gifts,her enthusiastic fans donated HKD$6,200 to Oxfam Hong Kong in the name of her international fan club.Sherman was very touched and became teary when she interacted with her fans.

During the time for playing,Sherman changed into an orange coloured bikini and hot pants for water games.When she played the "bananna boat" with her fans,she lost her footing and fell into the water because of surges of the tides.

Sherman Chung will turn 24 at June 20th.

clesias: no prob LOL yea she's probably a very minor character...i think the girl to the farthest right in the pic that i posted is going to be nic's love interest (could be wrong though...still can't find any more info on this film >_< ), so unless sherman's a cop or something, she's most likely going to be reduced to being nic's family member...but i really can't imagine sherman actually being a part of any of the action sequences...and haha those ManYu scenes were awfully cute, but if Sherman wants to make it in the HK industry, she's gonna have to branch out

Three Sherman Chung's appear at an radio event

Sherman Chung attended a radio event with her younger sister Chung Shu Kei yesterday. In addition the event organisers arranged for a Sherman lookalike to appear as well. Therefore it seemed there were 3 Sherman's at the event making the atmosphere very funny. Sherman revealed that she had previously seen someone on the internet who looked exactly like herself, even more alike than her younger sister. When she showed the pictures to her work colleagues they said it was very freaky.

Due to Sherman and her sister resembling each other, they often have alot of confusions. Sherman says "My younger sister will complain sometimes. When she is eating out or shopping many people will approach her and ask if she is Sherman Chung. She feel's helpless in those situations. She has currently finished her studies and would like to find a part-time job. But she is quite worried because we resemble each other too much and she feel's awkward."

Sherman Chung and Lorretta Chow soaked in hot spring together

Sherman Chung, Lorretta Chow, Cilla Kung and Angel Chang were in Kansai yesterday promoting the new TVB programme "Tour Kansai". They were visiting the sushi factory and the "hot spring". The 4 of them has split into 2 groups. Sherman and Lorretta went to Osaka and Zhejiang for 12 days . They were enjoying the "hot spring" Sherman told reporter she met Lorretta before therefore she was not embarrassed. They have been to the public bath too. It was an experience and they were very happy.

Sherman revealed that the most memorable time was when the weather was really cold. She and Lorreta were soaking in the hot spring as well as reading the newspaper. It was so relaxing. She swore that she wouldn't have that experience in Hong Kong. Normally Japanese don't put on their swimming costume when they soak in hot spring. Sherman said when she was in a car, she saw a Japanese man sitting on the steps naked. He didn't even have a towel round him. He was not worried about people looking at him either. Reporter asked Sherman if she had seen all of it, Sherman laughed "I was in the car , but I could see it very clearly." Asked if she went "crazy shopping" in Japan? Sherman said " This is the first time I went to Japan. I was very careful to what I buy. I only buy things that I really want. Therefore I only spent 4 figure sum for clothes and some suveniour. Reporter asked Lorretta if they had compared their figure with each other she replied " We don't look at each other's body when we bathe. As a matter of fact, we all have good figure, there is nothing to compare."

Sherman and Zac Kao demonstrating pulling noodles.

Yesterday, Sherman, Deep Ng and Zac Kao appeared at Times Square for an Occupational Safety & Health event. During the event Sherman demonstrated the correct way in holding plates and serving. While Deep and Zac pretended to be customers and created trouble. Afterwards they went into the kitchen to demonstrate hand pulling noodles, cutting vegetables and frying noodles. But Sherman yelled out "Wah, it's really tiring."

Sherman Chung exposed that before she entered the industry she had worked as a restaurant waitress. Although customers often yelled at her in order to save her rice bowl she would just keep the anger inside, clinging on to "The Customer is always Right" attitude. Every day she would smile at the customers. She is willing to do anything for 2 meals. Sherman stated that having experienced being a waitress herself she would normally be very polite and forgiving to the restaurant staff.

Sherman Chung celebrated Chinese New Year with fans

Sherman Chung was attending a Chinese New Year celebration event at a shopping mall. Apart from singing, she played games with the audience too. Her fans have given her pot of peach flower, some gold coins and a gold Ox and they were also wishing her to earn a lot of money in this coming year as well as finding a boyfriend.

Sherman will be off work during the first 3 days of the Chinese New Year. She will be staying at home with the family. Sherman loves spending Chinese New Year at home. When she was abroad studying, there was no Chinese New Year atmosphere. She would be eating taro cake and radish cake with her friends. But at home, there was a tradition that her mom would give her a lucky red packet to put under her pillow every year on the New Year's Eve. Since last year, her mom had stopped that tradition. This was because now she is working, she should be giving them the lucky red packet instead. Sherman knew what to do this time. She is going to give her parents 2000 HKD each. She said it's the thought that count. Reporter asked if she has plan to go on holiday during the New Year period, Sherman replied "I had thought about it but I am going to America in February to attend a dancing class for a month, therefore I intend to spend money there. Joey Yung and Sherman Chung received warm hospitality from fans

Joey Yung and Sherman Chung were in Guangxi Beihai City having a mobile friendly concert with the fans. This is their first time to Baihai, the fans were already waiting for them at the airport. They were arranged to hold that event next to the swimming pool at a beach hotel facing the sea. They expressed their disappointment as they didn't bring their swimming costume. The reporter told them they can swim in all 4 seasons in Baihai, so next time they come, they must bring their swimming costume. The fans were very patience when they were lining up to get in. During the concert, the fans showed their hospitality by singing Joey's songs. When Joey was playing games with them, one fan hugged Joey and didn't want to let go. She asked Joey and Sherman to visit Baihai more often because she has been waiting to be near her idol for a long time. When Joey finished talking to the reporters, the fans had a group picture taken with Joey and Sherman.

The next day Joey and Sherman went to the second concert in Zhanjiang. The fans complained to Joey that she hasn't been there for 4 years, and they all missed her very much. After the show, some fans surrounded Joey's car, needing the security guards to disperse them. Joey said "The fans are so warm, I saw some of them attended both events to support me. I am very happy but I am also worried about them, I hope they didn't get tripped over."
