I do know that Ki Bum is one of Hee Chul's friends along with U Know of DBSK. I heard that when U Know had that cyanoacrylic incident Hee Chul retaliated by making a statement in his cyworld and the antifans vowed to make him a target along with his friend Ki Bum.

Heechul saying that he and Kibum were closest in the group was from a translation of Heechul's 100 questions except the original Korean version of 100 questions didn't have anything like that in it so I'm not sure where the translator got that. It's true Heechul and Kibum are close, but Heechul is also very close to Donghae whom he always says is like a real brother to him and Hankyung who is one of his closest friends.
Kibum and Hankyung aren't the same age so in Korea, they wouldn't be considered "friends," but more hyung-dongaeng (older brother-kid brother) relationship. As to whom Kibum is closest, that would be Heechul. When Heechul was in the hospital due to his car accident last year, Kibum cried for hours while Heechul was in surgery (the reason why his eyes were so puffed up during SuJu's performance the next day) and for weeks he even slept in Heechul's room at the hospital every night. Heechul also mentioned on his radio show that a few years back when he was sick and couldn't get out of bed, Kibum took care of him, feeding him and even washing his hair for him. Kibum is also close to Donghae whom he used to share a room with and with Hankyung who is one of his current housemates. It's understandable that people that you live with become the ones you are closest to, but having shared such common experiences, all the group members are pretty close.
