In ep 17, Cecilia finds out she got this disease in her... who's it from? Benjamin or Angela? I don't even know if they slept with any of them...

Ìf you watched the episode 16 i believe, it's Angela who did something with the towel which made Bill had the disease

yea, i think Angela was the one who did something weird, but not necessarily sleeping with Derek...hmm...how did she do it? And I mean, if you want revenge...this is taking it a little too far no?

yea, i think angela's the source (not that she slept with Derek), TVB added a shower scene for Derek. that has got to mean something.
Maybe it was a mistake on the doctor's part?
If not, I definitely think Angela is behind, not that Bill slept with her but maybe the towel like d0ggiel0ver said.
its the towel, I read that in a magazine but is it really aids? if it is, kinda hard to believe it transferred from him just using that towel...

It isn't clear WHAT kind of disease it is. The doctor said that it COULD be because of sex, but on the other hand, it could be from something else. Maybe it's hepatitus or something.
And a towel isn't the best transmitter actually...
A toiletseat would work better then.
It wasn't AIDS though. it's "lam"-disease, whatever that is.

maybe its crabs or something similar. cause crabs can be transfered throw toilet seats, right? so why not towels?

淋病 means Gonorrhea in english...
im up to episode 17 and it seems like tvb is making it seem like Derek Kwok got the disease from the towel BUT...Gonorrhea is a sexually transmitted disease...Gonorrhea cannot be transmitted from a towel...

and TVB plots don't usually make perfect sense. so they can make believe that the STD can be passed on thru a towel? o.o

After when Angela told Hilary and Bill the truth, they still forgave her and told her to forget about it since nothing can break them up anymore!

no, that kind of STD can't be passed through a towel. And especially not a dry one. If it's completely soaking wet with her fluids, then it might be possible. But I don't think he'd use that to dry himself up then, no matter how drunk he is

maybe Angela did something to the towel, don't know. makes me think twice if i wanna use towels from hotels though.

It came from Angela. I remember a line where she told Derek and Cecilia that she slept with someone during a one-night stand and received a STD. While she was taking a shower, she used the towel to wipe off all the fluid and then gave it to Derek to use. Thats how he got the disease. It does not make sense because gonorrhea is passed through sexual intercourse.

yah i thought that STD being transferred through a towel isn't really believable. since these kind of dieseases arent so easily transferred through touch or w/e.

Thats what I thought it was so strange cos always thought th eonly way you can catch STD is when you have sexual intercorse or if you have a cut and carrier touches your cut then you will get never thought rubbing a towel would make you catch it.

I tried to google some facts and here's what I found.
Excerpts from
http://cchs.ua.edu/hc/std.cfmQUOTE
Trichomoniasis
Trichomoniasis or trich is a vaginal infection caused by a parasite that is not normally present. It is most likely transmitted sexually and by skin to skin contact, but can also be passed on through moist objects including towels, washcloths, bathing suits and sexual objects.
Excepts from
http://www.aidshotline.org/crm/asp/refer/faq_stds.aspQUOTE
Can I get STDs from a towel or a toilet seat?
Most STDs, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, and genital warts, are spread only through direct sexual contact with an infected person. Crabs (pubic lice) or scabies, which are often sexually transmitted, can be passed through contact with infested items like clothes, sheets, or towels.
Excerpt from
http://www.moondragon.org/obgyn/disorders/...richomonal.htmlQUOTE
In rare cases, it may be possible to get trich by coming in contact with an object (such as a wet towel) that a person who has trich has just used. The Trichomonas organism cannot live on objects for long, so trich is not usually spread this way.
Excerpt from
http://www.medicinenet.com/script/main/art...rticlekey=54509QUOTE
Member: Exactly how quickly will the herpes simplex virus die once it leaves the vagina?
Warren: It depends on where the virus goes.
If it goes to another person, it may not die, but instead cause infections in that person.
If it goes to a bar of soap, it will die immediately, because soap takes away the lipid layer that surrounds the virus and keeps it alive.
If it goes to a towel, it may die more slowly, but it needs to be warm and wet to continue to live.
So we don't worry about things like toilet seats, but we do urge people to use their own towels for drying genitalia.
So, some STD can be transmitted through wet towel and some can't.

but the common factor is that the towel must be wet and warm. It might be warm in the shower, but not wet. Will you dry yourself up with a wet towel?

So Derek has the disease too?
They forgave Fala and said "nothing can separate us anymore" but if they have AIDS or STD they'd eventually die..

I thought it was mean of Angela to spread the disease to Bill. Even though she wanted revenge, she could have done something else, but spreading a disease to someone, that is so mean.
