Who sings better in Twins'? Gillian or Charlene?

I choose Charlene, she can hit high notes very well!

I think Charlene sings better too. Gillian has sort of the same voice as any other female artists but Charlene is different.

I don't think they have much songs that require them to hit a high note. Most of the songs are very standard notes...

I reckon Gillian have a more unique voice because most of the singers in HK have very deep voices and most of the time it's not because of vocals or whatnot.

I reckon charlene sings better because when she sing her emotion always appeal towards the song and she has a unique voice compare to other artists. but is sad that charlene hardly have any duet in which she can mix her voice with a guy voice. Charlene and Nic's voice mix really well. charlene can really hit the high beats and i love how she add emotion into her solo parts in twins songs.

Gillian and Charlene are both great in singing and acting.

I think Gillian's voice is better because her voice is softer, smoother, and a undescribable, unique feeling on me when she sings, it makes me wants to hear more. Char's voice is stronger, but a little weird to me.... *no offense* =]

I agree with bluehearts, it isn't often they have high notes in their songs. Judging their voices only, I actually think Gillian's key is higher and more stable in live performances. Charlene may sing better in CDs but whenever she sings live it sounds as if she is talking more than singing.

uhhm. gillian has an airy voice, which is kind of cool.

but in 2004, charlene's voice was like, more 'deep' & has more emotion? =D but still, i think gillian's voice is better IMO because most HK & asian people go for the 'soft -voiced' cause they think that it's 'lady-like'..

Anyways, even thought i'm a massive Gillian fan, i still have to admit I prefer Charlene's voice more. It's very smooth and her voice is very nice. I do like Gill's voice too though. It's unique and smooth

as for voice only:
i like gillian's voice in canto n charlene's voice in mando.
as for who sings better:
the sing equally well in canto, but charlene sings better in mando.

^ Charlene does sing better in Mandarin considering that her accent is better than Gillian's. I also think Charlene is a better singer in Cantonese as well because her pronunciation is more clear and correct.

Overall, I find Charlene the better singer.

is really sweet and it is extremely nice to listen too...i love it when she strech her voice

CHARLENE'S SOLO is much more emotional compare to twins verison which is the reason
why i like charlene's solo more than the twins version!

...Lately Gillian has done some pretty good live performances. Lately, I do think, Gil has been the more consistent live performer.

That being said, I do prefer Charlene's voice. And when she does sing well live, I find her voice much more impressive to me than when Gil sings well live. I just like Char's voice better I guess. Gillian's voice is really cute though Very feminine.

DOES Charlene have better pronunciation? I don't know Cantonese so... but I have always found it much easier to sing Char's lines of songs because I can pick up with words more easily. I struggle, sometimes, with Gillian's lines because I can't hear the words as distinctly. But I find that weird because when Sa talks she seems to slur her words more that Gillian O.o

I always thought Charlene sung better.. more emotional..compared to Gillian. Gillian's voice only sounded nice to me because it was sweet and gentle. But both are crap singers anyways. xD

They're both as bad as each other I think - most of the people you see on talent shows have better singing abilities than they do.

for me, i think gillian sings better!!
No offence to char fans but i felt gillian has a unique voice and its sounds really nice especially in sad song as its very expressive.
Charlene's voice is also nice but i felt that its nothing special.

What i said in the first post was that,
Charlene can hit higher notes when there is higher notes.
But later in the months, i think Charlene
can sing Mandarin better than Gillian and
Gillian can sing Cantonese well too.
I like Twins, but sometimes i have different
opinions about both singers. =]

charlene can sing better hands down! i love twins as a whole, but its inevitable the fact that charlene is much more talented than gillian. gillian's got a soft nice voice, but when she sings live, she can't hit the right notes and charlene can do that. :]

hmmm...am not really a fan of twins' singing.
i've listened to some of their songs, watched some of their MVs and live performances
but yeah, i;ve said it already.
i think there are more people who prefer charlene's voice.

I have only watched a few lives of twins, mainly from shows. And I have to say Charlene, she is less off tune...

Charlene's recent performances have been really consistent. She really hits her notes and is less off tune. Gillian performed her solo mandarin song well, but other than that her other performances haven't been that good.

I don't really think either one of them can sing to save their lives, but I have to say that Charlene's a bit better in terms of staying in tune and she can hit some of the notes correctly, whereas Gillian tends to stray off the tunes >_<.

about singing..i really cant comment..i do heard their singing but i really dun understand chinese and i never heard their singing live..so i cant comment..but acting..i prefer charlene..

Well actually, I found Charlene's more bearable and when she was singing with Raymond it was slightly more in sync...but yes, it was awful. Still Charlene is slightly more in tune in the performances I've seen.

Gillian sounded so out of breathe, Charlene sounded in tune and on time! Definate improvement from Sa, so I think Ah Sa sings much better then Gill now.

I can't even tell their voices apart at all. o__o

I prefer Gillian's voice more despite that I don't listen to alot of Twins songs. I heard Charlene's version of Tong Hua and I really didn't like it. And I like Gillians' duet with Kenny more too.

I like Charlene's voice because she really improved and it is strong.

When they first came out, it was pretty obvious that Gillian sang better than Charlene. But after a couple of years, Charlene really improved and now she sings better than Gillian and her songs show more emotion. Good job CHARLENE

i like both singing...but i am a BIG gillian fan, but i'll try not to be biased.

i thikn they both can sing pretty good. charlene has a deeper voice and gillian has a higher voice.

yea gillian obviously sang better than charlene at the beginning of their careers. her voice was smoother and had more emotion. charlene's voice is rough...it's better now because she changed the way she sings. but i think gillian lost confidence after all the criticism about Twins' singing. she seems nervous singing live now. i think it's part psychological and part physical. they are overworked and barely get any rest.

than i guess charlene is pretty strong than >.<
