Summary
Mike takes all the snacks off the shelves and into the shopping cart while Rainie puts them all back. She chides him for this and tells him to respect how she shops because it is a real skill to pick the right things in order to save money!
She takes notes on what they are buying and how much money they are using. Mike says that he will never look at it and Rainie then tells him that she may look like a young teen but she is an obasan (middle aged lady) at heart. She also says that she should participate in those Smart shopper contests because she will outdo all the obasans there~
Mike says that she must not have a boyfriend because there is no one in the world who will like her type of obasan personality. Rainie tells him that she doesn’t give a flying poop about what he thinks and that there might be a guy who thinks that the obasan-like personality is charming. Mike then says that in accordance to his memory, Rainie is just looking for a prince charming. Rainie tells him that it doesn’t matter who she likes & that Mike, the evil master, has nothing that is attractive. Mike then sees Yan Shu and tells Rainie to quickly pay for the items and leave. Rainie takes a look at what drastically changed Mike’s attitude in a matter of seconds and takes this time to blackmail him. She runs the shopping cart into the disabled Mike and demands that he washes his underpants by himself-- without the use of a washing machine; he needs to allow her to work at her other job during the day and finally, he needs to listen to whatever she says & whatever they buy is up to her too~ He asks whether or not she is overdoing it and she says, “oh well I can stay here for awhile then~~â€? He quickly accepts all of her demands and Rainie is off to make the purchases.
Mike wheels into Yan Shu and she asks if he is buying anything. He then tells her to go with him to take a look around the supermarket.
Rainie doesn’t have enough money to pay for all the items so she tells the cashier to take out some of the items. The cashier tells her that she rang the items up already and to re-ring the items would be a hassle since there is a long line of customers. Kingone comes along and tells the cashier to re-ring the items and she obeys.
She thanks Kingone at first by calling him “top manager� but changes it to “Guy #10.�
Kingone asks her what department she is from and if she has off today. Rainie replies by saying that she is not really an employee. She tells him that she was just substituting for someone the day of the fair. Kingone says… oh so that’s why our company doesn’t have any of your information. So… you have my phone number but I don’t have yours..~
It clicks in Rainie’s head that Kingone is asking for her number so she says, “I’ll write it for you!â€? and ends up dropping her groceries.
Outside, she rips out a piece of paper from her planner with her phone number on it and Kingone asks if she is in a rush to go anywhere. Rainie says no and he says that he will treat her to something to drink. Rainie agrees.
Rainie’s brother buys an expensive sweater and his friends are even like, your mom spent a whole day selling fruits – are you sure you want to buy it? Ignoring his friends, he tells the cashier to put it on his card.
The mom and her friend are talking about how Rainie’s brother is just wasting his life away in his stardom dream. Apparently the mother’s friend has some sort of issue with Kingone so when she saw him, she immediately felt uneasy and looked a bit sick.
Rainie’s mom chides her friend for coming to Taipei when her health is not so great. The friend says that her body is like that so getting some rest will make it up. Rainie’s mom asks if she wants to keep looking around and friend says no. Rainie’s mom is worried for her friend because she lives alone and tells her to be careful. They stop and see a cute purse and the friend tells Rainie’s mom to buy it for Rainie. Rainie mom says no because Rainie has a purse already that is in good condition so they walk on.
Yanshu and Mike are at a café discussing why Mike came to the supermarket and with a girl~ (One of the employees had told her that Mike came with a girl)
Mike asks if it was a supermarket or a reporting station or fruit peddlers’ gossip.
Yanshu questions if there was a girl and Mike says “no, no girl.�
Yanshu keeps talking about how funny Kingone looks with two broken arms and that it was lucky that Kingone was less severely injured and can take his cast off soon. Mike just stares at her. She asks if she has been on the topic for too long and he looks at his watch and says that she talked about it for 20 minutes. Mike asks if she is gonna talk about him (Mike) for 20 minutes. She says that he is joking around again. She then asks if his girlfriend comes to take care of him because he lives alone and is disabled. Mike tells her that he doesn’t have a girlfriend and that Yan Shu hasn’t come seen him either. She says that he must introduce her to him when he does get one because she wants to see what kind of girl is courageous enough to stay by his side. She also says that when she has the time, she will visit him.
Yanshu wheels Mike out of the café and he says that he would like to ride his motorcycle again. She tells him that she is actually relieved that he won’t be riding a motorcycle because she doesn’t like it when Mike puts himself in danger like that. He says that he thought Yan Shu would understand why he loves riding a motorcycle and she tells him that she DOESN'T understand and that everyone needs to feel secure. She receives a call that Kingone has arrived and she gets ready to leave Mike. Mike says that Kingone is the type that can give security and she says that for Mike to say something like that means that he has truly grown up. She leaves him by saying “now you can go find a girlfriend. Your brother is waiting for me…â€?
Outside the café, Kingone asks Rainie if he should help her with the groceries and she says that it is not necessary because it is really light. Rainie stops in her tracks and says that she does not want to go get a drink. Kingone asks if she’s mad because he was just kidding about the whole drinking thing. Rainie then whips out her obasan personality by saying that it makes no sense to get a drink when that same amount of money can buy some food that will satiate hunger~ She says that there is a foreign guy who said that if you stop drinking your $5 coffee a day.. 34 years later it might become a million dollars. She tries to calculate in her head and it doesn’t seem to work out so she calls it a fraud. Kingone then tells her that it was from the book “ Making Yourself a Millionaireâ€? and that the author uses their own method to build a financial plan. He asks her if she understands and she says yes.
She asks him if he is full and he asks her if she is hungry. She says.. yea.. I’m okay.. –stomach grumbles-
She laughs nervously and blurts out that she has been working all day long and has not had a bite to eat. Kingone suggests that they go get something to eat then~ (Keep in mind that Kingone has already eaten at the place he overheard Xiao Nan’s conversation with Rainie!)
Rainie is stuffing her face and telling Kingone to eat while he is watching her eat. He is wondering how to eat his food when he is already full. Rainie states that he is probably a person who eats very little or because he is top manager, he is not used to eating lower-class food. He says that it is not the case and that he likes to eat this kind of food. So he tries to eat a little.
Rainie eats and says “yummy!�
Kingone asks if it’s really that yummy and she says yes. She thinks in her head that it is especially yummy because she is eating with him. Rainie tells him that she believes that eating is the happiest moment and asks if Kingone agrees with her. She goes through that Top manager --> Guy #10 business again. Kingone replies: "If you know your limit in eating, it is pretty happy but if you over eat then it’s no good."
Rainie agrees and says that what he just said makes a lot of sense. She then says, “yes, that’s why I’ll eat mine and not steal yours!â€? Kingone takes this chance to give her his food and she says, “I was just kidding! I need to know my limit and not overeat. This is what top manager said so I will remember it!â€? Kingone says… “right.. know your limitâ€? as he fiddles with his food.
He asks if she has any nicknames and she says "yes" and asks which one he is referring to. He says, “so… you have a lot of nicknames.â€? She hears Mike’s nickname for her (in her mind) and she shudders. She then tells him some of the nicknames that Xiao Nan gives to her and surprises Kingone. Kingone says that her nicknames are complicated and hard to remember so he just asks for her name. She tells him that her name is "Tong Ja Di." She also explains how she got her nameâ€â€?it was because her mom prefers guys over girls~ He also tells her that it doesn’t make much sense to call him “top managerâ€? when she is not an employee so she is to keep calling him “Guy #10.â€?
Xiao Nan sees Kingone sitting at one of the tables (but does not see Rainie). She goes up to him and she apologizes and tells him to not stop Rainie from working as a substitute and praises Rainie using all the nicknames she has given her. Kingone is confused at what is going on and tells her to calm down.
Rainie says that Xiao Nan was not here to help but to ruin things so Xiao Nan helps her with her groceries. She says that Kingone is actually not a mean butthole who was trying to cut off Rainie from work but still the perfect prince. They discuss Rainie's situation with Mike and decide that they are not to tell Kingone about this Master/Angel thing. They then discuss the relationship between Kingone and Mike. Rainie leaves Xiao Nan with the groceries because she needs to find Mike and help him out because he is disabled.
The brother spots his sister and starts to run away, even though his friends asked him to introduce her to them. She then sees her brother and runs after him. The brother runs into Mike and causes him to be knocked out of the wheelchair.
She sees Mike and helps him back up but he pushes her help away. She says that it’s her responsibility to help him recover otherwise she was never going to get out of the Master/Angel thing~
During this process, Mike drops his cellphone and someone picks it up.
Kingone meets up with the supervisor after the meeting and tells her that the creativity of (Rainie + Xiao Nan’s) stand was very nice and that they did a great job. Yan Shu overhears this.
Mike asks Rainie if she knew the person who ran him over. Rainie says that she did not know him. Mike says that if she did know him then it wasn’t an accident but it was on purpose. Rainie then tells him that there are such thing as coincidences and accidents and to start putting his heart out to love more and he will see how not everything is done as an attempt to hurt him. He asks if she is confessing to him and she says that he talks too much rubbish and is an ugly duckling. They now go on their way home.
Mike refuses to take the train but since it’s inconvenient to take any other means of transportation, Rainie forces him to see how good it is to be riding the train because they have elevators especially for the disabled (like him). After Rainie helps an old lady into the elevator, Mike’s expression softens. When they get on the platform, Mike asks to borrow Rainie’s cellphone which she refuses to give him. He tells her that he has lost his and she throws a fit. Mike tells her to stop yelling because it is not the way a good citizen should behave. He then says that he never noticed how pretty she was when she doesn’t talk. Rainie gets all shy and turns around. Mike laughs to himself at how easy it was to get rid of her as he wheels himself into the train.
Mike’s friend (Bo Zhi) falls in love with Xiao Nan at first sight and does everything to please her. He asks her if he gets more points for being Mike’s friend and she tells him off. She also says that if she finds out that he does not protect Rainie when she is in need, she will not let him off easily.
Rainie goes home to her brother and yells at him for running away and for spending so much on clothing when he already has a lot. He says that he used his credit card so it didn’t matter. Rainie tells him that they already have a lot of money issues so to be making more purchases on the credit card will not help the situation. She says that the interest rates are so high that many people suicide because they cannot pay it. He says that she is over exaggerating and that when he gets a job, he will take care of it; when he becomes a big star, he will buy her whatever she wants. Rainie is not swayed by this and she says that whatever money he uses before he is a big star, it is under her responsibility.
Rainie’s mother comes home and yells at them for arguing so loud that you can hear from outside the house. Rainie sees her mom holding a bag from the department store so she can’t resist but question if any of them realizes how poor they are. The mom yells at her by asking if Rainie is blaming the mom for not living a good life and if it requires Rainie’s agreement to buy something. The mom sees that the brother made so many purchases and yells at him for lying to her (about the whole friend is going to sell her body thing). She then says that they’re both not wrong but she is in the wrong because it was her mistake for giving birth to the both of them as they remained silent (like a dead person.)
Rainie sucks up her mother’s yelling and tries to take the clothing away from her brother so she can return it. The mom says that he already bought it so it’s too embarrassing to keep on like this. The brother pipes in and asks why Rainie won’t support his dreams. Rainie at this point is extremely upset and yells, “then is there anyone who cares about MY dreams?! Mom, did it ever occur to you that I’m only a 20 years old girl?â€? The mom asks Rainie if she is now blaming and complaining about her for not caring about Rainie enough.
Rainie yells, “It’s because you didn’t even remember my 20th birthday! Would you even know what my dreams are?â€?
The mom then sarcastically says that of course she forgot the day when she went through all that pain to give birth to her. She then asks Rainie what her dreams are and Rainie says that she doesn’t even dare to have any dreams because every morning when she wakes up, she is thinking of ways to pay off all the debt they’ve accumulated. The mom responds by saying “okay, fine. I’ve held you back…â€? Rainie leaves by saying that she has to go to work and will not be coming home for dinner.
Outside the house, Rainie says that if I have dreams, then it’s for our family to be happy together.
The mom tells the brother to fix up the clothing and return it tomorrow. The brother then mumbles the same thing he always mumbles, it’s only a few articles of clothing that don’t cost much and when I become a big star, I’ll pay it all back.
Yan Shu is thinking back about the relationship between Kingone and Rainie. She meets up with him and asks him to go out grab some drinks because she deserves to be treated to something since she has worked super hard and even lost sleep over helping him out during the time he was in the hospital.
Rainie is busy washing cars and she gets a call from Xiao Nan that the supervisor had called her and said that they can continue being substitutes when needed for the company. Xiao Nan praises Kingone again for being a super good guy.
They go to a nightclub where they are drinking. Yan Shu gives him a new phone with a new phone number because of his request earlier when he thought that Rainie was playing a prank on him. She asks if he needs to be accompanied when he goes to the hospital tomorrow and he tells her that she’s better off asking Mike. Kingone gets a text message from Rainie that says “Thanks Guy #10 for today’s lunch and for all of today. He replies asking if he could exchange his thank you coupon for eating yummy things together again.
Rainie comes home and realizes that her mother went shopping at a department store to get her a gift. The next day, she apologizes to her mom for speaking to her in such way. The mom accepts the apology and together, they wheel the cart of fruits to their usual place.
Mike calls Rainie and demands that she gets to his house as fast as possible since her class is over. Rainie goes around to look for Mike’s cellphone and manages to get it back from the customer service center. Mike’s phone rings and someone by the name of “Secretâ€? is calling. Rainie contemplates whether she should pick it up or not but ends up picking it up. This "who are you? what are you doing with Mike's phone" begins. Yan Shu asks who Rainie is but Rainie says that it is not important and then the cellphone battery dies. Yan Shu on the other hand is wondering if Rainie is Mike’s girlfriend.
Rainie gets to Mike’s house was ready to give him his cellphone but sees the house a mess. Mike tells her that it was on purpose and that she should hurry up and clean it. Rainie cleans everything up in a jiffy and Mike comments on this. Rainie says that he must be a person who says something but doesn’t keep his word. Mike responds by saying that he is a person who keeps his word so Rainie takes the underpants out of the laundry basket and tosses it to him. They are now both doing laundry together-- Mike washing the underpants and Rainie stepping on the clothing with her feet. She asks Mike what is up with his expression and that later on, he will find out that doing something will bring him much happiness rather than doing nothing. She borrows his arm to wring out the clothing.
Yan Shu seems to be disoriented during work so Kingone asks her if she is too tired from all the work lately. Kingone leaves to go to the hospital and puts Yan Shu responsible for Mike.
Rainie asks Mike to get the seeds of yams she bought the other day so she can plant them. She tells him that when she makes him the yams after they have grown, he will know how yummy they are. Mike says that she is unbelievable. Not only is she an obasan but an obasan who grows things. She tells him that she chooses to do things because it is her personality. She tells him to get it the seeds for her because he should repay those who have helped them before. [I help you, you help me] She also says that she also has mint leaves in her bag that can be used to make tea later on.
Mike finds his cellphone in her bag and begins to start thinking things.
Rainie is making rolls and pretends to eat one while Mike immediately tells her she is not allowed to and that she needs to listen to him because he is the master. He picks up a roll and says that he wants to throw up at how bad it looks. Rainie responds by saying that it is her most confident dish.
Mike starts hinting at her greediness and Rainie has no idea what he is talking about. He tells her that he is giving her a chance to fess up about the cellphone. Since Rainie was planning to give it back to him in the first place, she didn’t know that Mike thought otherwise.
Bo Zhi comes in telling Mike that Yan Shu was coming so they throw Rainie out the window! Mike asks her what brings her here and if his father had anything to do with it. She tells him that she has found time to visit him and here she was. She looks around and comments on how neat the place was since she thought it was going to be a mess. She tells him that she was going to call him to remind him that there was an appointment for checkup at the hospital but his girlfriend picked up and hung up on her. Mike says that he has no girlfriend.
Rainie who is peeping in through the window realizes that “Secret� was Yan Shu.
Yan Shu comments on how Mike is now hiding things from her. Mike tells her that the person who picked up the phone was a little thief. She is now relieved and says that okay, "Mike and Yan Shu forever have no secrets from each other." Mike disagrees with her and says that all people have secrets. And if she wants to know his secret.. it is that he likes … (Yan Shu cuts him off and says “me.â€?) She then asks, “is it me?â€? Mike says, yes, it is you. And reaches his hand out.
Yan Shu then says “you think I would fall for that trick, king of pranks?â€? Mike drops his hand and looks at her in question. She then says that she should not have asked Mike to tell her his secrets since all people have secrets. She thinks that Mike had used “I like youâ€? as a cover-up for his secrets. Little does she know that Mike was for real. She says that she will just laugh it off. Yan Shu continues to argue with Mike about his so-called girlfriend. And if that was Mike’s confession to her, it was totally not cool. Because the more he says it, the more it’s not true (She refers to the wolf story where when you keep saying there’s a wolf coming when there really isn’t, no one will believe when it IS really coming) She then tells him that after his joke, he should go to the hospital for the checkup.
Bo Zhi checks up on Rainie and apologizes to her. (He’s sucha sweetie!!) He tells her that because Mike is moody today, she should just go home if she has finished everything for the day.
She tries to cheer Mike up but Mike just shuts her down each time. Mike tells her that he’s giving her one more chance to fess up and Rainie is still clueless as to what he is talking about so she tries to leave. Mike shakes everything out of her bag and gets his cellphone out. He then tells her to pick up all her stuff and go. Rainie is hurt by his accusation and tells him about how she went through a lot of trouble to find his cellphone and repeats all the names he had called her earlier and adds “pigâ€? to it. She tells him that he is very very very bad and that if he keeps it up, Yan Shu will never accept his confession. She leaves with all her stuff.
Bo Zhi comes back with a first aid kit and asks where Rainie is because she is injured. Mike puts the leftover rolls in the fridge and says that Rainie will probably never come back again. Bo Zhi says he knows why Rainie isn't coming back~ it's because Mike is afraid of Yan Shu misunderstanding her! Mike tells him to shut up. Bo Zhi then “analyzes� how Rainie is just so ordinary and cannot compare to Yan Shu. For Yan Shu to misunderstand Rainie is just absurd. He also reminds Mike about the appointment to the hospital.
Rainie is wiping at her wound when she receives an urgent phone call.
The doctor wonders why Kingone’s father is working him so hard because he is still injured and should be getting more rest. They carry on with this conversation.
Mike watches Rainie run to the hospital with her injury from Bo Zhi’s car. He actually repeats what Rainie has said to him before (when i say something 3x, it that I really mean it) to Bo Zhi.
Rainie goes up to the nurse in a very franctic state and starts asking if her uncle has done anything wrong or stole something. She begs her not to call the police and she will make sure it gets returned to them. The nurse tells her to calm down and that the reason she had called her here was because her uncle left the hospital 2 days ago without notice and needs to pay the hospital fees, which sum up to 24,048 dollars.
Bo Zhi wheels Mike to the doctor and leaves him because he has a stomachache. Mike sees Rainie and quickly hides himself. She starts calling people to ask for money for the hospital fees since she does not have enough money on her ATM card. But no one can help her. Xiao Nan gets into a fight with her boyfriend because he thought she had badmouthed him to Rainie when she called asking for money. She tries to explain to him and he just completely ignores her.
Rainie runs to her mom’s business and asks her mom for money and her mother says that they should not care about people like uncle. Rainie says that she can’t just leave uncle like this because he has helped them out a lot in the past.
Rainie runs back to the hospital in hopes that they will allow her a few more days to come up with the money but Mike has already paid the fees. (Aww~~~) She is surprised that she has been blessed with such luck that she thinks it's unreal... so she bites her finger. Mike from afar laughs at her silliness.
Rainie thanks god that she had lucked out and meets Kingone in front of the hospital. She thought that he was the one who had paid the fees and tries thanking him for it. He tells her that it really wasn’t him who did it and to think about the people around her who were likely to do something like this. She says that if the person never tells her, she will never know but she does know that whoever did it knows how thankful and touched she is because of it.
She is thinking in her mind of how much she hates the feeling of being helped in this way.
Kingone notices her injury and tells her to wait for him. Rainie says that if it’s not Kingone, then she really doesn’t know who it can be.
The doctor tells Mike that he cannot take the cast off of his right leg because Mike has not been taking care of it. Flashbacks of Rainie kicking his leg run through his mind. Mike =
Rainie is scratching her ear because it is very itchy. Kingone says that someone must be thinking about her and Rainie says that she hopes no one is yelling at her. (old wives tale of ear itch = someone yelling / someone thinking of you)
Bo Zhi says that while Mike is still at the hospital, he should go for a body check since Mike seems to be having some problems. Bo Zhi points to Mike’s brain as if to say that Mike is having mental issues.
Kingone helps Rainie disinfect her wound and says that she totally forgot her own injury while she was pondering about who was the one who helped her. She takes the band-aid from him and puts it on herself. Kingone says that he noticed how scared she is to indulge in someone else’s help. She feels that she must think that she is able to do everything herself so that living is easier and not as tiring. He asks, "but isn't doing everything by oneself is even more tiring?"
She tells him that expectations of something that won’t happen is even more tiring.
She runs forward and Kingone follows. She says in her mind that by running forward with Guy #10, she completely forgets all her injuries. She falls down and says that it’s not because she is tired but because she is injured. Kingone guesses that she is probably hungry and Rainie agrees. They plan to eat at a small eatery but Rainie gets a phone call from her uncle in which she leaves immediately after.
A bunch of loan sharks are outside Rainie’s home demanding money and asking where the uncle is. Rainie’s mom and brother come back at this time and Rainie's mom tells them that she doesn't not know or care where the scum is. They don't believe her so they beat them with their bats. The brother pulls his mother and they begin running away.

the story seems to be more and more exciting. the episode next week will have a kissing between R&M, it'll be very funny 
i thought this episode is more about K&R but then it's also has lots of scenes between R&M, those are so funny. i think that the rating will get higher and higher because the story is more and more exciting now. the behind the scenes are funny 
especially when R has to hold the balloon, she looks so nervous and M goes to her and like "encourage" her 
...but frm the preview i guess that hua da's frd just misunderstood them..sort of imagination 
...hope me wrong.....anyway just cant wait 4 the next ep 
!!! overall..this episode was pretty good, a few up and downs and some significant scenes im guessing will be played again later?? i thought how HD paid for JD's uncle's hospital fees was really sweet..
how he smiled when he saw her smiled. hehe 
and i love it!!! hope to see more soon...hehehe...and how i love the behind the scenes...just notice that mike seems to be touchy towards rainie...just love it...
