OMG THIS GUY IS SOOO HOT!! I start liking him after watching sweet 18!! he was so good! I hope he could get more leading role.

only seen him act in sweet 18, after that I been hook.

I haven't seen lover in paris, and dont have any plan of watching that since I don't like the story line.

I hear his doing a movie with Han Ji Hye, that I definitely been waiting for!

I think the movie title is My Blood Type B Boyfriend, currently shooting that movie and will showing next year February 2005.

Since the Lover in Paris series, Lee Dong Gun's popularity shoot up, and many movie offer been presented to him, the one he pick was this movie with HJH.

There's a part where he look so cute in Lovers in Paris when he was wearing a white suite and he was holding a handphone..arghhh....he look sooooo cute!!

12/13/04 – On 12/12, Lee Dong Gun and Kim Ha Neul filmed the kiss scene of the drama “Glass Painting” in snow for about 6 hours at Namsan Botanic Garden of Seoul. They NGed 9 times before the PD Lee Chang Soon OKed the scene.

wooo...was swooned over his clean-cut & cute disposition is Sweet 18!!

last noticed him in some ad show with won bin (correct me if i am wrong) and of because in Friends! (haha..notice they r shows wif won bin.. )

will try to watch other dramas he acted in..especially Lovers in Paris since i read some great reviews bt it..bt m nt farmiliar with any other dramas he acted (eg: the glass show?)

With “Romance in Paris” and the following SBS drama series “Yuriwha” airing every Wednesday and Thursday, Lee Dong-geon, 24, is now one of the most popular stars in Korea. He will make his actual big screen debut in a romantic comedy “My Boyfriend`s Blood Type B,” which is directed by Choi Seok-won and scheduled to open on February 4 (cameo appearance in “Family” of 2002). Young-bin, the role he plays in the movie, is blood type B and is calculating enough to take back the roses he gave as a present and resell them. He shows eccentric moves to win the heart of “Hami,” a timid girl of blood type A played by Han Ji-hye.

I met Lee Dong-geon at a café in Gangnam, southern part of Seoul. He said, “I am actually blood type A, who is hurt easily by the small mistake of the one I love.” Unexpectedly, he was straightforward.


-Although you are known to have suffered a lot after making your debut as a singer in 1998, people tend to think that you succeeded overnight probably because of your “affluent” looks.


“A long period as a no-name entertainer and sudden success would have been easier to me. Frequent ups and downs wore me out. My popularity dropped suddenly after some spotlight was given to me when I debuted as a singer, and I treaded downhill after some attention with my appearance in a sitcom ‘Three Friends,’ which was when I was about to quit my career as a singer. This is the third time going uphill in my career. I just feel that there is nothing to fear this time.”


-You are right. Frequent ups and downs are annoying. It is as if you are stripped of something that you were given before.


Lee Dong-geon is strained from the “killer” schedule, which allows him no more than one to two hours of sleep, busily working with the near-complete movie and the drama “Yuriwha” shootings at the same time. He said, “I am concerned that my eyes may seem blank because of weight loss, dark circles (the dark area underneath the eyes), and larger pupils.”


-Wasn’t your acting skill obscured by your good looks?


“I have heard this before. I recall somebody telling me, ‘Your face overshadowed your music and acting.’ However, these are all excuses. It is nonsense. My appearance should have been a multiple plus if I really was good at singing and acting. People tend to say those words when your talents are uncertain but your looks are good. I could have evoked something that Yang Dong-geon, Lee Na-young, and Kong Hyo-jin in ‘Ruler of Your Own World (MBC drama of 2002)’ could not have, had I acted as well as them. However, I fell far short of them.”


-Among all the cast, you seem to be the most “beautiful” character both in “Romance in Paris” and “Yuriwha.”


“I am flattered by that word ‘beautiful’ as opposed to ‘pretty’ or ‘handsome.’ It may be because of my role in the drama series. I was always the one to be hurt the most and the one to love the most at the same time.”


-Perhaps because of your “pretty face,” you seem to make good couples with easygoing and outgoing female roles.


“I am not good at socializing, so it gets difficult when the one to play my opposite is also timid. I have big insecurity about my looks. I was told so many times since childhood that I look like a girl. I have changed a little bit these days, though. I grew a beard, use my fist instead of palm when cupping my chin in my hands, and so on to look like a ‘man,’ paying attention to the smallest poses.”


Lee Dong-geon cited Choi Min-soo, Lee Jeong-jin, and Cho Han-seon as the best looking actors, adding, “It’s the masculine looks that counts.”


―What would you say about your female partners in the shows?


“I really can’t say much about Miss Kim Ha-neul (the Glass Painting). Hmm… She seems very professional and profound…. Miss Kim Jeung-eun (SBS “Lovers in Paris”) is comfortable to be around. She is very considerate. Miss Han Ji-hye (KBS2 Nangrang (Ebullient) 18) makes people happy just being with her. She would offer a bright smile no matter how tired she is, and that single smile embraces everyone else.”


―A little more charisma seems to be in order in your acting or appearance….


“Actors are like sword fighters with different weapons. People consider a sword that will slash the other in half with one sharp and fierce stroke, but it’s all an idée fixe. I just have a different form of a sword, very minute but delicate. I do not have a set of piercing eyes to overwhelm the opponent. My eyes are droopy, and they are gentle. But my eyes have the sorrow and pain that can make the audience silently wet their eyes.”


―You ultimately chose acting over singing.


“With the exception of the recent couple years when I gained much attention, I was neither a singer nor an actor. Some generously gave me the title of ‘all-round entertainer,’ but trying out anything and everything does not make someone an ‘all-round player.’ I tried everything there was, but what was left was ‘Lee Dong-geon’ with now an elaborate title to follow. I clenched my jaws and decided to ‘become the actor.’ Started out with the idea of ‘being the number 1.’ When I was singing, I did everything to avoid having to act because I feared it will hurt my career in recording, but, in the end, it was the sitcom ‘Three Friends’ that let people know of my name. Acting was something that came back to me even more persistently as I refused time and time again. I dreamt of singing, but acting might just be my destiny.”


―You are enjoying one of the greatest popularity. What troubles you?


“I lost so much over the last two years. All I have left are my characters in the feature productions. All this guy named ‘Lee Dong-geon’ did until 25 since he was 23 was filming in studios. There is something missing in a corner of my heart that is suffocating and driving me crazy. Having a shot of soju in covered wagons and giving a bouquet of roses to a lover. I miss those little blessings. I would like to have them back.”


―Are you involved in any relationship?


“(with a bit of hesitance) No. When I do find someone, I don’t want to be envisaged as someone who’s done a bad thing, like other celebrities. I will face the world with dignity and love with all my heart. I will enjoy my life. I want to confine my public activities to one production of a movie, and I want to move away from my acting career for a bit. I want to get back my lost ‘25-year-old’ self.”

I love watching Lovers in Paris not only because of Ki Joo or Tae Young...but also because Soo-hyug is really very good in his acting stint! Gosh! He's so touching there ha! this is a new series, it's currently being shown in Korea every Wed & Thu night.
the last episode aired on Thu 13 Jan is episode 12. Total of 20 episodes.
this series seem like tailor made for LDG and he even sang the theme song.

i've fallen, and fallen hard, for this one heck of a man not only because of his perfect features and impeccable sense of style (i mean he can make anything you put on him look good) but also by the depth of his personality. Everytime I see him on TV, i fall for him over and over again... gosh, i've never felt this way and i've never been this obsessive over a TV personality. i never thought i'd see the day when i'll drool over a picture and kiss the computer. tv, and cellphone screens. I can't believe that i can feel so much for the character he play si much that even before he cries, and sometimes even whe he doesn't cry at all, i'm overcome with tears. those expresive eyes are really what hits me so hard, they can pierce into your most innermost being and make you feel his own emotions. I never believed that there could be a man so perfect until i saw him. how i wish i could go to korea one day and meet him upclose.. hay.. how i wish..

Lee DongGun and Han Jihye appeared on SBS Kim Yongman & Shin DongYub's Jilgyul ChatGi and revealed their feelings toward each other.

On the question of "While i was acting, i felt feelings for the other person." Both Lee DongGun and Han Jihye revealed the truth...

Lee DongGun first got feelings for Han Jihye on the set of KBS "NaRang 18Sae." While Han JiHye was filming the scene where she was waiting for Lee DongGun, Han Jihye was freezing in the cold because she wearing light clothes. When Lee Dong Gun saw her freezing in the cold, he thought to himself "I want to keep this girl warm." With this feeling, he had acted out a hugging scene.

Han JiHye had felt feelings for Lee DongGun while filming the movie "My Boyfriend is B-Type." While she and Lee DongGun was filming a kiss scene on a merry Go-round, she had felt feelings for him.

One producer said "They have been trying to get out of scandals that surrounded them starting last year but it is surprising how they were really honest. It seems like their relationship is like a couple."

'나는 애정 연기를 하면서 사적인 감정을 느낀 적이 있다'는 주제에 대해 이동건과 한지혜가 차례대로 입을 열었다.

이 동건이 한지혜에게 처음으로 사적인 감정을 느낀 것은 지난해 KBS 2TV <낭랑 18세>를 촬영하던 중이었다. 극중 한지혜가 이동건을 기다리는 신을 찍던 중 이동건은 얇은 옷을 입고 추위에 떨고 있는 한지혜를 본 순간 '이 여자를 진심으로 따뜻하게 해줘야 겠다'는 생각이 들어 리얼한 포옹 연기를 펼쳤다고 밝혔다.

Lee Dong-geon to Suspend His Acting for the Year

Lee Dong-geon, who is currently starring in the movie “Boyfriend of Type B,” said he will not star in movies and dramas for the rest of this year.

The announcement is meaningful because it comes at a time when Lee is at the height of his popularity. But Lee believes he needs to take a break now in order to come back as a more mature actor. “I feel groggy because I have starred in so many dramas this year, like ‘Let’s Go, San-doo’ and 'Little Bride.’ I definitely need to recharge myself,” said Lee.

so sad.... wah, I feel like crying! if he's going to be off the movie and tv scene for a while, i'm gonna miss him so much. but i believe that he has his reasons for deciding to rest for a while. i believe that after all he has done these past few years, his vacation is well-deserved. i kjust hope he would not be gone for too long because there's just so many of us who would be anticipating his return. Right girls?

As regards the news about him and Han Ji Hye, well, though I feel a bit jealous (hehe, as if I had any right to be, although I consider him mine in my imaginations, hehe), I can say that I'm happy for them because they look so cute together. I wonder how old HJH really is. Would anyone here know? Anyway, I hope they are and will be happy together. Han Ji Hye sure is one lucky girl to have the guy hundreds, maybe even thousands of girls (including me) can only dream of... hay (that's a sigh, hehe)...

By the way, I just finished watching Sweet 18 last week, it took me two days to finish all the episodes. Although I lost a substabtial amount of sleep, I dont have any regrets at all because i definitely love it! As a matter of fact, I am currently watching it over again. I just can't get enough of Lee Dong Gun. I can't forget the scene where he sang a song (I think the title's The Pioneer) at a friend's engagement party to save JungSook from embarassment. He has such a good voice. The song kept playing over and over in my head. well that's just one of the many scenes I definitely, trully love! I LOVE LEE DONG GUN!

They just finished airing Lovers in Paris here in the Philippines (anyway, I have my own copy of the series). However, the network still airs the replays of the series on Saturdays and Sundays, so we still haven't said our last good-bye to the series. I hope the cast of LIP may someday pay our country a visit. Incidentally, the network obtaining the rights to this series was able to conduct an interview with ParkShinYang and KimJeungEun, it was a bit disappointing that they did not have LDG with them (maybe he was busy with film and TV shootings).

I just ordered my copy of Let's Go to School, SangDoo! and I can't wait for its delivery. Would anyone know when Yurihwa would air its final episode in Korea? Please let me know so that I could order my copy as soon as possible. Thanks so much! Also, when is MBiTB going to hit the cinemas? please do inform me. I'm trying o learn Korean right now so that I can better appreciate his shows, films, interviews, songs, everything about him. I just hope I can learn soon!

Guys, please do keep posting updates about our LOVE, Lee Dong Gun. I can't wait to hear new stuff about him!
