Im wondering when he's releasing a new album, cos I completely miss his voice.

Where is he??? No news of him at all how sad.. we need to fill this thread with pics and news and stuff. Seems empty. Just like a group of fans wondering around waiting...... for his appearance or at least his voice in ANYTHING!!!

Hey, I know it's been kind of quiet lately, but I was hoping we could keep this thread lively. So to get a discussion going, has anybody else noticed how Will sometimes blurts out Japanese phrases? On three different accounts, I've heard him say "Gambatte!" "Kawaii deshou?" and "Nani kore?!"
I read somewhere that he used to have a Japanese girlfriend. Could that be the reason for his random Japanese? Cause I find it really cute! >_<

He is not called handsome bcoz of his looks, there is a story behind why he has "shuai" attached to his name "pan shuai", something related to his childhood.

Wilber Pan (Traditional Chinese: 潘瑋柏; Simplified Chinese: 潘玮柏; Pinyin: Pān Wěibò, born 6 August 1980), also known as Will Pan, is a popular American-born Taiwanese singer, rapper and drama actor, who started his career as a host of Channel V programs. I stumbled upon his Bu De Bu Ai the other day and it sounded familiar. Was it in a drama? That's the only place I can think of hearing it.

Well, it is a remake of a Korean song called "Please Tell Me Why" by Freestyle. Maybe that's where you heard it?

I just remembered; I heard it because I watched a video of the two chinese boys (who did the backstreet boys impersonation) do a video to bu de bu ai. Although, I've heard a lot about Wilber Pan ripping off the song (or was it video idea...) from a korean or japanese song. How much of that is true?

I may be sounding a bit defensive of Will here, but he didn't "rip off" the song. He legally remade it into Mandarin, giving full credits to the original writers.

Gosh Artists 'rip' songs off others all the time. But i dun think thats the most appropriate term since i believe they give credit or modify them a bit to create their OWN version.
But i really dun think Will "rip" his songs off others, could be only this song. But even if he does, he still sounds good ^^

Everytime Wilber Pan is to release an album, he is always forced to lose weight. His weight lost this time is a great achievement for him. He revealed his waist and said that this is the "most exposed" picture he has taken ever since his debut.

Wilber has to battle with "losing weight" everytime he is about to release an album. Like female celebrities, he forces himself to lose weight. In order to achieve his ideal body weight, Wilber began his crazy diet plan. He is not allowed to eat anything after 5pm everyday. He even increased his exercising time and played intense basketball for a month.

Wilber is finally able to return to his true colors of "Handsome Pan" at 67kg. He has a lot of confidence towards his body right now. He even generously showed off his waist. Since his new album is called "Play It Cool", Wilber revealed his waistline for the cover of his preorder edition. His stylist also wrote the words "Wan Ku" (玩酷) on his waist. The mischievous stylist purposely wrote "丸酷" instead, causing Wilber to scream due to the itchiness.

Preordering for the new album will start on the 5th. The preorder edition will include his new song "King of New Hip Hop" (國王的新嘻哈), the unplugged and the first recording of that song, and also the title song "Play it Cool" (玩酷), which has been exposed by the media recently. He hopes that these three songs will gain the support of the fans, which will hopefully help fulfill his dream of being first place on the album sales chart.

I just saw the MV for Wan Ku! It's so freaking awesome and cool and hot, and I'm going into a major fangirl mode right now! I love the choreography! Will's dancing has improved so much! The special FX were awesome! Just an awesome MV! One of his best!

Also, when he used to VJ, he had Jolin on as guest, and they acted out this scene in English and then translate what they said into Mandarain. He will be paired up with Taiwan's "Princess of Cute," Rainie Yang ChengLin. Wilber hasn't participated in a drama since Spicy Teacher; for the past several years, his focus has been on his career and performance in Mainland China. Although he has spent the great majority of his career as a singer, the drama offers have still been steady in coming. After completing Wish To See You Again, producer Angie Chai has finally set aside F3: the lead of her new drama will be Wilber. Wilber is very happy about the opportunity to return to Taiwan to film this year; last year, he successfully dropped more than 10 kg. He now relies on daily jogging and curbed eating habits to maintain his physique.
* Translator's Note: The name of the drama can be, I guess, translated as "The Bad Campus Belle." However, the 笑花 xiao hua used in the title is a pun... 校花 xiao hua is "Campus Belle"/"the prettiest girl in school." However, instead of 校 xiao (school), they have used 笑 xiao (funny). Thanks for posting the news, tammiest! I'm interested to see how Wilber's acting turns out; I've actually never seen him in a series before. He's a cutie, and I do like his voice, so I'll be pretty impressed if he can act, too. It'll be kind of fun to see him in a new pairing with Rainie, too. Jiayou, Wilber! I wonder if the role will have him speaking English at all (since his English is awesome).

^^ Hmm, actually, I've heard on several variety shows and read in several newspapers that Wilber is really, really popular in the Mainland... more so than in Taiwan and definitely way more so than at AF To be honest, I don't really know what he does there... I guess he just travels to different provinces and does promos? Like autograph sessions and autograph concerts. It's kind of hard to find news on him... I've noticed that Entertainment News these day are wayyy more focused on entertainers' rumors... so, if somebody's got none, they're way less likely to appear in the papers.
(Wilber's had lots of love rumors in the past, but... none all that recently, I think.)

But yeah, I haven't posted in Wilber's thread yet, but... I've gotten to like him a lot over the past couple of months I have to say that, although I've bought two of his CD's, his music isn't always my favorite (although I really, really liked his latest album)... but that reveals my personal tastes more than anything else... u should listen to his music. They're not all rap. I prefer the non-rap ones. His voice is really good. From his new album, i like the song '路太弯[lu tai wan]' Theres no rap in there. But overall i think his new album has less rap songs than his previous ones and its pretty good.

i actually have a story about will to share......
its an old one.....
two years ago, my family went on vacation in china and SHE was having their concert there. One of their guest star that day was Will and he actually stayed in the hotel room next to ours. The funniest part is when he was coming back after the concert, he nearly went into our room since our door was also opened but my sis actually slammed the door at him because she saw a whole group of ppl nearly walking towards our room and she though they were black triad. LOL
after that whenever i see Will on TV or newspaper i will make my sis look at it so that she can recognize him.

OMGoodness, I am sooo very jealous of you!! Hahah... too bad your sister slammed the door on him!! Although... I guess I wouldn't really know what to say to him. I'd probably act like an idiot... or forget all the Chinese I know. Luckily, he understands English perfectly well

I think it's sort of a mixed bag for me.

I actually like his rap songs... although, of course, not all of them. I think he's pretty good at rapping. I know I was super-impressed by the speed of his rapping in 反轉地球 [Fan Zhuan Di Qiu] [Reverse the Spin of the Earth].

And then, I like his non-rap songs, too... although, again, not all of them. I guess it means that he's pretty versatile? I really love his recent album. I think my favorite track on that is actually 無法抗拒 [Wu Fa Kang Ju] [I Just Can't Resist]. It's really upbeat and fun. And I think the "oh's" in the song are really cute, haha.

I finally got around to uploading the MUST-WATCH 100% Entertainment Wilber Pan episode. My goodness, for anybody who likes Wilber's adorable smirk and mischievous personality (I know that means Ginying for sure )... seriously, this episode is awesome. He basically visits a girls' high school and sits in on a few classes. Sooo funny. And sooo cute!! I can't decide which segment is my favorite... maybe the last one? When he does calisthenics with the students.
