TVB's new game show 味分高下 is hosted by Taiwanese singer/game show host Harlem Yu and singer/actor/MC Patrick Tang Kin Wan.

The show features stars using their senses (smell, touch, taste, etc.) to guess flavors of certain food products.

Episodes 1 & 2: Cheung Dat Ming, Charlene Choi, Hacken Lee, Bernice Liu
Episodes 3 & 4: Bobby AuYueng, Yoyo Mung, Eric Suen, Suki Chui

First of all, yaaayyyyy for Harlem. People have said Patrick's been lucky to have worked with both Dodo Cheng & Liza Wang in past TVB dramas, because most people don't get to work with either of them, let alone both. Now Patrick can add another name to his resume -- Harlem Yu -- hopefully Patrick can get some insights on singing and performing from Harlem.

The show can be a bit odd because its in both Mandarin & Cantonese, but its managable.

As for the first episode, Bernice totally impressed me with that 2nd game where they had to sing and taste flavors of sauces. She sang in Mandarin and knew where she was every step of the song and she knew all the flavors. That was impressive, especially seeing how Cheung Dat Ming suffered before her (though, to give Dat Ming some credit he was never a singer).

But the whole Moses-Bernice joking thing was funny! Patrick makes on fine game show host because he knows when to chime in, especially when he tried to "fool" Bernice into thinking those 2 Chinese characters were "Chan Ho."

What is up with the English title "Foodie 2 Shoes"??? Its the title I got from tvb.com. What kind of translation is that? They should've just asked Harlem to name the show in English.

What's the format for this show? Do they invite guess onto the show? Is it funny like Super Trio?

I watched this show and its really funny.

They have 4 guests go on each time and pairs compete against each other. They have games where they have to guess which one is food through smelling, hearing, seeing other people's reactions from eating it, etc. They have the same cast for 2 episodes and then they change it. Much better than King of Games, IMO, but Super Trio is still better. =]

I agree with 60699, Bernice was amazing in her singing/ tasting segment. She really impressed me. As for the "Chan Ho" trick, I was hoping she would respond by saying" No thats not it. I know because I know Moses's name by heart." =P

Episode 3 has Eric, Suki, Bobby, and Yoyo. Bobby is hilarious. I recommend people watch this. =]

i watched this and i like it! i think harlem is good and patrick is not bad. especially when he always brings in the rumours between bernice and moses up to bernice! im also very impressed with bernice when she had to sing and taste the sauce! cos she did a great job singing the mandarin song!

the third episode with bobby and yoyo is really hilarious!

If you don't want to watch this show, give episodes 3&4 a chance, and believe me you'll want more. Or should I say you'll want more Bobby. Bobby is hilarious from the moment the camera was on him. He started to sing Harlem's song & dance Halrem's dance -- hilarious!

its on youtube..i think..i watched this show one time..bernice was awsome n she was so kute....her singin was pretty guddddd

yup yup...I saw the whole episode of Bernice in the game frm Youtube...it was so funny and Hacken was also very funny in the first drinking part game..

bernice definitely impressed me wif her singing skills..she sang the chinese song very well and accurate pronounciation though there's still abit of accent in there and she tried to sing at her best thru the whole song even if the taste was unbearable...and it surprised me how she can tolerate the taste of wasabi and still smile...

And it's a funny yet a bit disgusting at the part where Hacken had to taste the "braised socks"!
There's one bad thing abt the show was tht the winner of the game is only to be determined at the last part of the game and even if u had won a huge amount of money in the first part, u may lost everything in the end...though this kind of rule can add suspense to the game too but I don quite like it...

On the whole, it was the hosts and the guests tht made the whole show fun to watch, so applauses to them! Cheers!

Episode 3, Michael Tse is hilarious. I thought it would get boring after Bobby (episode 3 & 4) because episode 1 & 2 wasn't that funny. But Michael Tse definitely brought the funny on! It was hilarious when he started dancing & when he danced for the 2nd and 3rd time Harlem & Patrick started to be his background dancers.

just saw the first ep..! I think the show could be funnier (it wasn't immediately funny like "Beautiful Cooking" or like Miriam/Sammy). Patrick and Harlem aren't that experienced with hosting, so I'll give it some time. But there were some funny parts!

OMG Bernice is adorable! She was singing in Mandarin and still was able to keep up while guessing flavours correctly and keep a straight face. Did anyone else think it was hilarious when Bernice yells "OPEN" repeatedly to Hacken?

it's not really that funny, but i changed my mind after watching episodes 3 and 4, because of Bobby and Eric. i think i'll continue watching, but Harlem got to try harder at speaking Cantonese.

I didn't really like Harlem and all the Mandarin stuff, however I've watched episodes 1-5 and found it quite entertaining so far.

it will be better if its in all cantonese , neway some parts of it is still funneh

anyone else love watching Shirley Yeung on game shows? She's always soo into every game, it's hilarious! It was so funny watching her devising her method of catching the 2 balls..

Actually I think so far my favorite eps were the ones with Ella, Angela, Wong Hei, and Carlo. They were hilarious guests..loved the part especially with the teams eating a flip flop and underwear!! Ella is always such a fun guest!

This show is funny only for ep 3 and 4. Where Bobby used soda to distract Eric so he would miss. So far only ep 3 and 4 worth watching also ep 11 and 12.

watched the first episode of this show and i dont think i like it. well, i really really dont like it. i dont think it's funny too. probably because charlene choi's in it, i dont know..but all i know is it's not funny, in my opinion. also, all those miss hk contestants acted so 'cheap'.

this sounds like a good show already. So far, I'm surprised and impressed by the guest appearances. I'm not too fond of the name for this show though, it's a little odd.....

I love how they added patrick and harlem. Harlem is so naturally comical in whatever he does and patrick is just weird and crazy x).


But what i loved is epi11 and epi 12 with 'dun goh' and nancy sit!!! omg that was so bloody funny. Especially when they were both told to sing and taste the food. Omg so funny.

These past few eps were so boring. Nothing of surprise or funny about it anymore. Just saw ep 17, it was an another boring ep.

uhm, i dont understand the first part of ep 1. when harlem asked 'how much better are we compared to you', then i dont understand the part after that.

I watched some of the episodes and it's silly funny most of the time. I think the best part is when the contestants have to guess what food is real and what is fake.

Finished watching ep 20, it is so funny. Chin Ka Lo really funny in this ep. He is a monster when come to eating watermelon. At first i though Edmond would win but Chin ka Lo its just better.

Yeah, I didn't understand this joke too. Can someone please explain? How come when Harlem tried to say it , Hacken stopped him and was like "you can't say that!"?

Aww I loved Bobby and Eric in episode three b/c Eric was so cute and Bobby's incredibly funny! Bernice was also quite good in ep.1, and Steven and fala were my favourite pair <3!!

This show is great. My fave episodes are with Bobby, Michael and Chin Ka Lok. It was halarious when Michael jumps up and starts dancing after he eats both foods.

Episode 13 + 14: Cutie Mui + Timmy Hung, Louise Yuen + Toby Leung <----- THAT WAS THE BEST FOODIE SHOW I HAVE SEEN ! The last when they was eating apple. The whole episode was good , i recommend this!

Saw today's ep. these people are monster when stuffing grape into their mouth. the last record was 16 but this time is 18, at first it was 17 then that Ng guy stuff 18.

some of the "food angels" are past miss hk 2007 contestants.. i cant believe they would be so desperate to be in showbiz... some are university grads.. lol. they look so gross, slutty, and most of all cheap. that jus makes the show miss hk a stepping stone to enterin show biz.

episode 13+14 and 19+20 is my favourite...

in episode 13 and 14, when Louise Yuen poked the chopstick in toby's throat was funny, also when they were eating the apple, toby's apple got stuck in her mouth, that was hilarious, cutie mui was dying of laughter and Louise Yuen has such a big mouth... cant believe that he ate the apple that way lol~

episode 19 and 20 was also funny, chin ka lok was hilarious, and of course.. charmaine is in it

this show is sooo awesome. I love the strategy tell nasty from not nasty game. I love each contestants reactions. I thought the best eps were 1.Cutie Miu and Toby and 2.Sharon Chan and Kathy Chow. Those were the funniest and happiest eps I believe. I also really love the chemistry of hosts Harlem and Patrick. Just an awesome awesome show. I think this may top Beautiful Cooking and Super Trio as my favorite tvb variety show.

man, those "food angels" are quite annoying. They are absolutely useless in the shows. And their recent change of outfit is just ugly... who's the designer anyway?

Many of the food games are former "Super Trio Show"-games btw. I remember lawrence ng and ada choi doing the "which food is the right one" and ada had to eat something really spicy.
