Diary entries written by a certain L님 about Super Junior during the filming of 인체탐험대 Explore the Human Body
(During the Paju shooting, I asked Sungmin, who was playing around instead of eating, to take pictures to upload on Christmas, and this is Kibum's picture that was taken on my camera.)Difficult.
Until the swim episode taping,
this was the word that I would have used to describe Kibum.
Kibum is difficult...
even to a much older staff member.
He talks little, expresses little,
but he does not participate little.
If he had been bored the whole time
I would have complained, 'He must not care.'
but because Kibum did his best with what he was given
I think that made him more difficult.
It was hard to capture him with my camera.
He looked uncomfortable if he saw my lens,
so from some point,
I started to take pictures while he was playing around and didn't notice me...
One day, I got frustrated and thought 'Why should I have to do this!'
and followed him around the whole day,
but truthfully, it is really hard to find a good shot from that kind of atmosphere.
Of course, if the model is great, then it looks good
but you can't ignore the uncomfortable expression on his face.
It became a fight of spirits of some sort.
On the ending party night, everyone was surprised
that Kibum stayed for the second party.
To the PDs, he spoke quietly about his life
his dreams, the program...
To quote one of the writers,
'See. I told you Kibum was the right one'
He was an impressive person, a deep person,
and a very truthful person.
Sitting and listening next to him, I tossed him a remark.
"I know you don't like taking pictures,
I'm sorry. It was on my mind..."
Saying he couldn't lie, truthfully he hates taking pictures
Kibum asked me how I knew.
I told him I could tell from the pictures and apologized again.
Taking pictures even when I saw the uncomfortable expression
made me sorry, and it was a truthful apology.
"It's your job...so of course I understand."
It really is 'of course'.
I was doing my job, he was doing his.
I could have yelled at him, 'Help me out!'
but I was sorry, and with his understanding
I felt much better.
It's good to have this kind of light ending.
The day of the last shooting the following week,
I found the same awkward expressions through my lens
but this time, I smiled.
I like Kibum,
who doesn't have false words or expressions or tricks.
