16 year-old, Toronto's Henry Lau, achieved great results for his level 10 violin exam at The Royal Conservatory of Music. He received a silver medal and the award ceremony will be held on the 27th.

Henry Lau is a 11th grader at A.Y. Jackson High. Henry's mother introduced yesterday that all three of her children is learning the violin. Henry is the second child and has started learning the violin since 6 years old.

He obtained a score of 95 for his violin exam in January. He also received a silver medal as an achievement for level 10.

Henry, who loves the violin, is also learning the piano. He has also passed level 10 for piano. He is currently learning dance due to his love for performing.

He has also performed at charities in the Chinese community.

Henry's mother explained that for Henry to achieve such a good score, talents, hobbies, and the teacher is very important. The teacher is especially important once you reach the high levels.

Ok so why is Gege in 11th grade? he is a whole year older than me but im in 12th grade. Even if he has to stay behind cuz his bday is late he would still be in 12th grade here in the north america did he drop out when he was casted or did he get held back? yea i read that blog post before. i think it is because henry is just too nervous and camera shy that's why he doesn't speak with confidence and in full sentences. when that happens, people may get the conception that he doesn't know how to speak chinese. he definitely can speak it you can tell just by hearing him introducing himself in interviews and there's no doubt that he's quite fluent at it. it's true that he's a taiwanese, but well he might not speak as well as a normal taiwanese does since he wasn't really exposed to much chinese in canada. andddd wook and henry oppas are getting me hooked onto their cuteness<3 they're my favourite couple now! nah he doesn't look like ki at all ki's so ugly! oopps. bias. sorry. but i'm sure my unnie is pretty(: i realised henry has many similarities as me. we both can speak english and mandarin and we both can play the violin and piano. i was shocked by henry's dancing skills! i didn't expect that much from him. he totally blew me away.

you're going crazy you keep changing your avie and it's all henry. that boy's got into you eh? yea i bet i'm too preoccupied with our little mochi here and it kind of slipped my mind who's ki and hae. nah i won't forget angel. never! well dialects are different. in taiwan, they have taiwanese which sounds more like hokkien. mandarin is a totally different thing, it's a language. they both sound very different. my dad's cantonese and my mum's hokkien so i understand both. but most taiwanese speak mandarin now. the way mochi speaks chinese there's no heavy accent to it and it kind of sounds like chinese they way we speak it here (singapore). yea henry was brought up in canada so i guess he's really used to skinships? well if it's common for your in the states then it's not so nice anymore. cause there isn't as much thrill. asians are more conservative so when i do get to hug henry i'll really feel the love cause it's not normal to do skinships here muahaha. get my ramblings? it's funny the way they boys call each other gege. in korea they definitely have to call hyungs but in chinese culture it just sounds weird. no one says gege on the variety shows in china.

i think its bcoz henry first was known as the violinist in don't don mv before he debuted in suju-m.
there are a lot of henry pics at soompi some pre-debut pics too and he still looks cute back then.
i sometimes still here a few anti people but only a few left unlike before people always chanting only13 unlike now when henry performs i hear a lot of people chanting henry's name it really makes me happy knowing that henry gege is gaining lots of fans now.
yah that what i also think the more the people show their hate on henry before the more people are more attracted to him and the more people are showing their support to our dear henry.

Well at the beginning everyone was spazzing over henry when they saw the don't don MV. but when they realised henry was going to join suju they fans started protesting. (not against henry, but i think against the addition of more members) after suju m debuted more people have come to see henry's talents so they're accepting him more which is good(:

that's true. jiaqian started this thread during the don't don period. yea i know they're lots of pictures on soompi but then soompi moves so fast it's really hard to catch up. are there more henry fans over there too? well there isn't chanting of "only 13" when henry plays the violin already i think the problem is sort of solved since henry said "i'm not trying to join suju" he's only joining suju-m. i guess that solves the whole problem. now there's so much crazy screeming going on during henry's solos.

little mochi oppa deserves them. he had to go through the ordeal of tolerating those anti cheers it must have been really difficult for him, at such a young age too. last year he's 18! so have you heard don't don and marry u? the rap part by henry at the beginning was so nice! but it was kind of spoilt at the back cause of hae's rapping his pronounciation was weird. so was the rhythm. oops sorry to hae's fans out there.
