I am here to discuss that which is better dbsk or suju ? I want to get peoples opinions since my cousins have been arguing which is better i say dbsk because they're good and they sing and you know the rest but i dont like suju cause of they're amout of people!!

for me it doesn't really matter their both good in their own way but i gotta say super junior have 13 members and their GREAT!!!

DBSKall the way I'm afraid! They're just so damn hot and good at singing!! I quite like SUJU, but i prefer DBSK. =)~!!

I think SM went too far in trying to create a "super" band. I think it's better to get a smaller amount of members who can do a lot instead of 13 members where only some of them are really good. Some of them aren't even that good looking XP
Although DBSK has it's downfalls too I think DBSK is a much better band.

I like both. DBSK is more focused on singing and dancing, so they are better in those areas. SuJu focuses on a variety of activities and even includes hosting, acting etc.

well in my opinion i perfer DBSK cause first of all less members...easier to remember each and everyone's name...and their special points...and where they sing in the song...but in super junior..honestly i only noe like 2 members siwon and kibum ....i have no clue who sings which part in their songs....also...DBSK has less members soo it seems more brotherly like cause they can do all thier activities together...but in super junior they have mini groups in that one big group...it just seems as if they're not really one "group" i don't even think some ppl in their group really interact with each other

um...in terms of look, both group got good-looking guys...
but in terms of talent, DBSK wins without doubt

i've known suju since they debuted, nd i still couldnt recognize all 13 of them...i think they all would be better off if they cut the number down a little bit...so that all of them could have a equal share of attention instead of some almost becoming backup dancers.

having 13 members might be special to their dedicated fans, but for ppl who are not familiar with them, only two or three would stand out and the rest would simply be overshadowed by that few shining ones. isnt it kinda unfair for the unnoticed ones who always have stand in the back in such a huge group? i dont believe the fans can even say that they love all 13 of them equally and give them same amount of attention. honestly, i cant even do that with 5 = =|||
i do think suju is very talented, its just that having so many ppl in the group would hinder some of the individual development

It's true that having 13 is a disadvantage for Super Junior. People think it's too overwhelming to keep track of, lol. But really, there is a reason why Super Junior is so popular right now. After getting to know each member, 13 will be NOTHING. If you actually cared about knowing the group more you will get to know all 13 of them pretty fast, and you will soon be killing yourself because these 13 boys are so cute and addicting.

So in other words, I prefer Super Junior over DBSK. I do agree that DBSK is more talented in the music category, but really, that's it for me. DBSK is no match to Super Junior in terms of acting and hosting. Super Junior has variety. They don't just sing, they also act, host, model, dance... all the other good stuff. And for acting, they really can act. When they sing, they can really do it. When they host, they are very good at it. When they dance, they can be called professional.

Don't get me wrong, I love DBSK. They are such cute boys and are very, VERY talented. But I dunno... they don't give me the same feeling as what Super Junior has.

And on another note - I prefer Suju's music. Before Super Junior I was a big fan of DBSK, but really, besides their first album being the best album, their second and third album were disappointing. Well, I guess the second one wasn't that bad. But the third one was... For Suju, I enjoyed both of their albums.

Suju's music usually revolves around dance tracks, while DBSK is more to ballads. Both are equally good to me, though I always feel that SM rarely promotes Suju? Well, I guess it's because DBSK debuts earlier and so they're more well-known, plus they know Japanese, so they have the advantage of entering the Japanese market. I don't think many of the Suju members can speak in Japanese, so they may only concentrate in the Korean market.

I don't think 13 is a troubled number. If you watch their dance performances, you will be surprised that 13 people can dance together so well, when time is a limited factor. So, personally, I feel that it's very enjoyable to watch their performances. They never even need any dancers!

suju is promoted alot actually.. they are everywhere.. radio shows. tv host etc.
they can't speak japanese but they can chinese (hangeng.siwon)
and isn't suju going to releases a chinese single/album later on??

I actually think SM promotes Super Junior very much. It's just in the past year they were more focused on their own activities so the group wasn't very active. I don't know. And besides Hankyung, some other members have brief knowledge of the Chinese language (such as Siwon) so Super Junior will debut in China soon.


It was rumored before that they will release their own single after the release of the Chinese version of their "U" single, but now it's confirmed that Super Junior will strike the Chinese market next year... so they will release a Chinese single.

Thank you for telling me. I am still a noob when it comes to Suju, so I may not pay much attention to them yet. I guess SM promotes them more in radio and TV shows eh? They're not like DBSK, who release n albums/singles within a few years.

Hopefully their debut in China will be good, with a little help from HanKyung and Shi Won they may make a good impression!

Oh, I just read some posts and I think I get hold of what is happening with the 'debuting in China' thingo. Well, it wasn't happening the way I thought it was... Looks like Suju is focusing on China while DBSK is on Japan eh?

I am a fan of DBSK first..but then i got to know suju...
hahaha....DBSK is great coz they can really sing good...and dance..not to say that suju cant sing or dance..they all can..
but singing wise..i think DBSK is slightly better...but now with suju 2nd album...haha...makes me love them more and more...
i think both group are unique, special in their own way..has their own 'feel' that makes us love them more...

DBSK has been arnd longer that SUJU, so they're more of an all rounder.
since there're only 5 of them, its easier to focus on each member.
from their debut up till today, they've accomplised a lot! and still going on strong!
each performance has nvr fail to mesmerise me with their strong vocals

SUJU, being a larger member band, i find it hard to focus on everyone.
out of 13, i can only identify 5 of them.
but seeing this large group together, makes u want to join in the fun.
with their combination of talents, u can't help but sway to their music.

I love DBSK and Super Junior, I love them both and I'm a fan of those two groups, I think both of them are great and both groups are very hardworking, but I feel like Super Junior can't compare to DBSK. It's not that they're not good, but DBSK, they've gone a really long way from where they've started. Sure they started before Super Junior and they only have 5 members so it's easy to know every single one of them, but I really do think that... they're amazing. I love DBSK, all of them are so talented and hardworking. Their voices are great, their dances are great and WOAH their performances are so badass and when they sing ballads live, their vocals are so good especially when they sang Love in the Ice live, it was amazing. They can speak Japanese too aside from the Korean language, so that's definitely a plus point. And I also heard that they're making it big in Japan, so that's really good.

So I've to got to say DBSK because they're simply amazing, and well-rounded. <3

They're both good. It's kinda hard to compare cos DBSK only has 5 members and SuJu has like more than double that lol DBSK is like.. my ultimate love lol They're all amazing at singing and dancing & I <3 them too much for words to express haha xP SuJu's members.. well.. In my opinion, how many lines do the members get in ballads has got anything to do with whether the song will turn out good or bad. If you listened to some of Suju's ballads, they're remarkably good, even though some members didn't get a solo line. So I, Miwo... these are very good examples. I think, excluding Shin Dong (because I have not heard him sing before), all the other 12 members are decent singers, if they really put in the effort.

Don't Don is a disappointment? Well, to me, except for a few of the members' images, the song turns out to be rather good.

Although I am a DBSK fan, I won't say all the DBSK dance tracks are good.

Every band has their weaknesses and strong points. i personally enjoy listening to dbsk more than suju. i love their ballads and acapellas. whenever dbsk releases dance songs it is always impressive. talent wise dbsk is on a much higher level. suju has more dance songs because it is easier to distribute the parts among members.it would sound bad if suju rotates alot during ballads that's why when they have ballad songs there are stronger singers that stand out. i definitely dont think that suju is better at dancing than dbsk. whenever dbsk releases dance songs they go all out hardcore ( rising sun, o, triangle, etc).

dbsk is definitely more talented. but suju has more energy in terms of people. suju does all around stuff so i would like better if sm just made them a boy group instead of boy music band. because they shouldn't be "qualified" as musicians. they're not that good, especially when they don't focus on the music, and instead on other stuff (acting, mc). anyway, just a thought.

DBSK because they're much more talented in every field. Suju just acts and goes on gameshows more because they've got nothing to do, while DBSK is always busy, traveling, shooting MVs, recording. DBSK also writes mostof their lyrics [exceptions are a few covers] while most of SuJu's songs are either covers or written by someone else. Also, DBSK, imo, acts better, no offense to Suju fans since I really do like both. And I think DBSK has a better personality, they're also more professional.

Suju has got nothing to do? Not really. If you checked their schedules (I don't think you would, since you don't seem to like them) they could be as full as DBSK's at times. Suju has 13 members, so it's really difficult to arrange activities for all the members. So far, a few of them had hosted, acted, formed subgroups, appeared in variety shows. Other than that they do almost the same things as DBSK, filming for MVs, CFs, travelling...

Which Suju songs are cover songs?

DBSK is more professional since they debuted earlier. Plus, it is more in the musical business since they focus a lot on that.

I meant group activities, like mvs and song recording. I couldn't believe Knockout was a cover, since it's one of their main songs. So is another favourite, Happiness, and Believe. And I wouldn't go as far to check each person's schedule, I don't do that for any group. And I do like Suju, but I prefer DBSK, although if Suju were to disband, I'd be heartbroken... But judging by the time they're debuted, DBSK has done a lot more, ratio wise.

And it IS my opinion, my own views based on what I know of them both, so I'd appreciate it if you didn't go around trying to change everyone's views to match your own. Thanks.

No, I don't try to change anyone's views, don't worry. It's just that some points you gave confused me a bit. You didn't really mention group activities so I thought you were talking about individual ones. Since Suju has so many members, and each of them has his own schedule, it is rather hard to insert slots so the whole group can come out together.

for me, i prefer SuJu, but THSK is also better, but SuJu is the best for me... I mean they are hotter and they are funnier than THSK...and i think, SuJu is more successful...although i think they are just the same.. I don't like to compare the two boy bands because they're all friends in real life and for me nothing is better between the two as long they have good music they are better.. and both are good because they already made a song together so i don't like to comapre them...they are what they are..and that's it.. SUJU and DBSK are both known as singers. Suju are good singers, but some are just ok, same goes for DBSK, but I prefer DBSK just because they're more eye-catching as in talent-eye-catching for the topic of "singers". I'm not saying that Suju isn't talented, but if they're singers, they should pay more attention to 'singing'.

I'd choose DBSK many times over cuz first of all Junsu's in it... secondly I love all their ballad songs esp. Midulyo, dance songs like O Jung Ban Hap and Rising Sun... although i like Suju, mostly because of Heechul, I'm not very fond of their new image and Don't Don-- no offense, just find it... unnerving somehow... anyway DBSK tops

DBSK acts better than Suju? You're kidding. I don't think DBSK can act at all, sorry to say. They're not horrible, but they can't seem to act well on a character that's beyond their own character. I think Yunho's the only one who seems to give a flowing performance on a character that's beyond his own. The others are stiff. I find Suju the better actors because they do have more experience. Heechul, Shiwon, and Kibum are regular drama actors and they've also appeared in several films. Not all of Suju can act well, but I find the majority of them GREAT actors, especially Hankyung, Shiwon, Ryeowook, and Kibum.

Super Junior does write their own lyrics. Most of the songs in their second album are written by them.

Oh, Super Junior has plenty to do. Acting, MCing, DJing, choreographing... plenty.

DBSK has done a lot more because they don't have acting or hosting activities interfering with their musical career.

I'm not trying to be pitting against you, although it does look like I am lol and I think I sound very biased when it comes to SJ v. DBSK. But ultimately, it always comes to personal preference. Trying to find evidence to prove which band is "better" will take forever. Actually I find neither groups to be better than the other.

DBSK has either "OMFG THIS IS SUCH AN AMAZING SONG" songs or "THIS SUCKS" songs lol. Therefore I prefer Suju's music... I'm pretty neutral to their their music. I don't really like their R&B tracks all that much though.. DBSK is better in that.

I would choose DBSK!! They're so good!!! at the second times i watch their clip i can recognize each member easily. For Suju, it’s such a hard job!!! ^^

suju has more range because each member is either 'the singer' of the group, mc, actor, etc. not all suju members are that good of a singer. dbks has fewer members and with 8 less members, you can't expect the 5 of them to do what all 13 members of suju can cover. dbsk was debuted as an acepella dancing group focusing mainly on singing plus they said once on a show that they are 'not' actors, but an musical group. i prefer dbsk because everytime they show much improvements and give you good quality ballads, acapella, dancing. they prove to you that they are trying to be the best that there is to offer.they are the real deal. i find suju okay too, but i can't take them seriously, their too funny together. i prefer dbsk's acting to suju though.so dbsk for me.

tvxq is definitely more talented. i think the only good marketing about suju is that there are many people for fans to love, and they're all active even if they're corny sometimes. anyway, the most talented, or at least most meant for entertainment in suju is heechul because he can be funny and people seem to love him lol. the rest are either overshadowed, or just pretty. kibum is an actor, so he's not as active while working compared to a singer and concerts (that's just my idea..). anyway, i think donghae should be more famous than h eis. he's cute, and good at singing. he should def. get more publicity. he would have the best chance making it big.

I love SuJu because of HanKyung but I have to say DBSK when choosing between the groups. Super Junior make me confused sometimes when they are so many that share like two-three sentences in every song. I can't "get to know" their personality when they're singing, before another one takes over.

You like SuJu and DBSK for different reasons.

DBSK was created as a singing/dancing/a cappella group; SuJu was created as more of an entertainment group (so they do EVERYTHING). Plus, with an extra 8 members, SuJu is going to be able to cover a lot more ground than DBSK is (simply with just sheer numbers). SM was very smart in creating a super-band with 13 members. With 13 members, the fans and crowds are bound to like at least ONE of them... Even people who are fans of SuJu have their favorites, ne?

DBSK, I feel, is more balanced. Vocally, it makes sense for them to have high tenors (Jaejoong and Changmin), baritones (all five of them sing baritone), and the bass (Yunho and Micky, although sometimes Junsu sings bass too). All of them get special parts during their songs, and in harmonizations, five members is the perfect amount to pull off a decent harmonization (even though Changmin's voice is so powerful that sometimes it overpowers the rest... but he's getting better and his control has been a lot better lately. Junsu is loud too, but he has always had exceptional control of his voice =D). It is very very hard for all the members of SuJu to get attention that they deserve. Moreso because you have some SERIOUS camerawhores in their group (Eeteuk is the master of finding the camera, Heechul, Kangin, etc) and then you have the quieter ones (Sungmin, Donghae, Yesung, Kibum, etc). Especially since there's 13 of them, you can't hear them sing all their parts, and even if there WAS harmonization... it's too hard to tell with all of them. Yehsung and Kyuhyun are such beautiful singers that they do not belong in a group of 13 where their voices can't stand out at all!!! It's not fair to them. Conversely, they have good singers too (like Donghae, Leeteuk, Sungmin, etc) who aren't vocally as strong as Yesung or Kyuhyun (their voices aren't very loud nor are they belters like Kyuhyun) so their voices are actually overshadowed by the rest of the group even though they are quite good singers (they can hold a note, are in tune, and ... considering they're in a band as big as SuJu, I'm quite surprised at how good they ARE).

SuJu almost feels like they do singing as a "pet project," because they're ALWAYS doing so many other things. ALL of them have the potential to go on and become hosts (except maybe Kyuhyun) of variety shows or radio shows (in fact, most of them ARE hosts, by now).. and they just do singing because it's part of what an "idol" does... and they're all just a group of idols, really.

It's a tough call because I love both groups, but I can't help but feel that 13 is just too overwhelming of a number even though SuJu is a bunch of cute and entertaining guys...!
