Reasons to support argument

Just wondering how many viewers out there would have liked Raymond to survive the accident or be killed off as planned?

Being a Ray-shipper my response might be a little biased - I would want him to be alive and have a happy ending with Linda. Although he made the biggest mistake by cheating on Linda but he repented and changed heaps and became a much better person.

There is more than enough thrilling scenes or tragic deaths to sustain the intensity of the series. I don't think having Ray survived the accident would totally kill the drama.

I cried buckets when he died. Through his diaries, we can all see how much he loved Linda and how guilt-stricken he was so it was really hard for me to digest his abrupt death. Perhaps the writers were trying to stress the fact that running a red light is unacceptable since it endangers other road users but having watched Ray died once in TOB, his death in HOG made me numb once again.

It would be so wonderful to see Raymond ended up with Linda!......Instead of having Raymond giving Linda & Moses a blessing through the Rainbow Rain! (Think many of you didn't understand this part unless you read through the diaries in Raymond's blog.....sort of "fairy tale feel" about it!)

Ray's death would surely bring a good ending for Moses who was always there for Linda. And I think he deserved to end up with Linda. Such a nice & perfect guy in the series!

I may sound a bit contradicting.......but after so long I've already got over the feeling that Ray was dead in the series! May be his death would make this series more momorable in a way!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and I'm totally with you! As much as I hate for Ray to die but his death really carved a good ending for Moses and Linda. Moses was really a sweet guy, always watching out for Linda unconditionally. Even Ray saw that quality in Moses after he had broken up with Linda. I guess I was hoping for a perfect ending in that Cherry would return from Canada to be with Moses and Linda would be with Ray if he had survived the accident...it's just my wishful thinking but I do agree that Moses deserves to be with Linda after all he had sacrificed

I thought the "rainbow" rain was cool...it was the only way Ray could communicate with Linda. Her happiness was all Ray prayed for so he would have given his blessings nonetheless.

Agree with you that the Rainbow Rain was really cool!!! Hope we can see it like Raymond, Moses & Linda in HOG! Guess it must be a wonderful experience in life!

I don't think need to kill Raymond Lam's character but since this role created is to boost Linda, there is nothing to do. I think what's wrong if they dunwan SJS together with ALfed they can arranged him with yoyo but they don't want to do that because with alfred' death they want to show Linda's crying skill is very good and her acting is very good. Yoyo Mung more pity after alfred dead she went to other country and there is no ending like ALfred and SMM finished boosting Linda's popluarity and just give them a lousy ending. This is completely crap and just want to boost Linda.

I don't think it was necessary to kill Raymond's character in the end. I was so mad when I found out he was going to die. Just as when he see that Linda is going to forgive him anf after seeing how much Raymond has done for Linda, he dies. It would have been much better if Linda had ended up with Raymond in the end.

Alfred's dead really made me SAD for a long long time. His dead is so memorable!!

ray's death was really well-done...it showed how much he still loved linda and gave the audience a great reason to forgive him and to see his character in a diff way [usually a two-timing character would not win over the audience as easily as ray]...the sacrifice was tragic yet meaningful...and yes, i loved the connection between ray-linda-moses at the end with the rainbow rain...like what linda said after she won the court case: ray and moses are the two most important guys in her life =D

Um...isn't the rainbow rain Moses' idea? He made up that "lost" diary page and talked about rainbow rain, saying that if Raymond had known he was going to die he'd have written that to Linda. Moses was recounting his childhood experience but pretending to be Raymond. Was I wrong in this assumption? I'm pretty sure that was the understanding they were trying to convey.

Well...If Raymond didnt die..i think Linda would be with him but since it's a moses and Linda pairing, i think he had to die..but i personally think he shouldnt die.
It was very sad and he had to die in a horrible way and he doesnt know that inda forgave him.
Poor Alfred...

I didn't like it when they killed him off.. so sad..
