I agree with you i also think shes a great actress, ive just finished watch war and beauty and i think that series is great,

i saw her in person, in colidale wen she was here with ma duk chong, she's a really nice person too!

i agree with you to she is a great actress and she can act i mean she can act evil, good, it doesnt what role she has she can act it out!! i also find that she also has great crying skills unlike some other actress or actors! But she can do it in a moment of seconds! Love her and i will support her forever!!

lol, no, not really. She's decent--not OMG she's so great! Her looks are okay too, not exceptionally beautiful or anything.

right now i guess shes an OK actress, but i think she's a long way away from being one of the best...

i think she's a good actress but not one of my favs. she has improved alot since she first started out and i think she has worked hard. she has a sweet face but not particularly pretty to me.

well, she has improved over the years. i remember her not being a good actress at all. but she did an excellent job in angels of mission, war and beauty, perish in the name of love, and several others.

Charmaine's defiantely a wonderful actress. I love her acting skills especially her crying skill...and i think she has a pair of talkin eyes! lol..By looking into her eyes u'll know whether she is sad, happy depressed etc....and that's definately one of the highest stages in acting...not only that..Charmaine also has the sweetest face on earth!

i TOTALLY agree with you! i love charmaine ive been watching her since time off and that was like her first series she aired she was pretty tensed but i thought she had potential and now she got best actress award ;] hehe she's getting better and better!

lols not really. Please don't get offended of what I say. But I find Charmine sometimes really annoying in series, like she over reacts sometimes. And She's not absolutely gorgeous like Gigi Lai, shes okay pretty.

when you 1st see her, it will be like, whao! she is pretty! very! but the more you see her, the more ordinary she becomes... her face is sweet, tts for sure!

i agree with Peggy! that gigi is prettier as her beauty is classic meaning lots of perople agree she is pretty.

anw, i wunt comment on the acting! i accept bad acting readily, very readily unless it looks very horrible. like extremely over acting! but i think she has rather good acting skills, been acting for 9 years? but not exceptional.

I didn't comment before cos it was in the idol's section. If the topic was 'did Charmaine deserve best actress?' or 'is Charmaine the best actress?' my answer would be a blunt NO

i think she acts pretty good... I do enjoy watching most of her shows, especially in Maiden's Vows... she could portray so many different characteristics so well and efficiently...

uhh....yeahh...Great actress? Not really...Pretty? not really....a lot of actresses can top her like Ada Choi, Tavia Yeung, Linda Chung, Joyce Tang...and many more...but Charmaine's okay i guess...

No, she is not a great actress and her acting is only mediocre. I have yet to see improvements well probably because of TVB giving her the same demure roles over and over.

i think her best movie is Phoenix Quartet because she acted soo good in all four parts!

charmaine is okay...she's not like really good. you know, the kind that just acts but you wouldn't think she's superb or anything. and i think she's been in some many dramas that we're kinda used to seeing her now.

Yeah .. she is just ok ok ... not those extremely good 1 ... .. pretty ..??? ok ok but same thing .. not extremely pretty but she kind of grow old quite fast ... if u look at her few yrs back and now ... u can look at other actress and they look more or less the same compare to few yrs back but not Charmaine

None. I wouldn't classify her in that category. GREAT to me is too good for her. I would put her in the GOOD actress but not GREAT. I mean the only character that she portrayed well is in War and Beauty but the rest she did not even put an effort.

In Maiden Vow in the 3rd generation she could not keep that tone of voice that she had to match that year and she kind of changed her voice to her regular one. Even Maggie Cheung in Old Time Buddy could keep her soft voice for like 20 episodes and she couldn't even keep it for like 6 epsiodes? Very disappointed.

In Dance of Passion she had a lot of crying scene. She did a good job at the start but afterward her tears start to dry up and she couldn't cry no more like she did at the start cause it was to dry.
She puts a lot of effort at the start but goes down at the end of the series.

Bashing sounds a little harsh though. Should just let it come out naturally. Eventually, people will hate her even if we don't say anything to influence them. ;D Anyway, well, if TVB decides to give her the award again, I wouldn't want to know what would the outcome be. Probably an outroar from the audience or something even more dramatic? XD Let's wait and see.

i missed last year's anniversary show! but i will sure watch it this year! i just freaking dont want her to win! i wonder how 'black' will her face be when she's not the winner!!!!! or maybe she will probably be hiding in the toilet?! lol. since she was SO SO SO CONFIDENT that she will be winning. xD

I won't be watching it though xD I don't want to bother since if Charmaine's performing I'll probably be puking. If she doesn't win I'll be mad happy lmao. She's probably gonna just say "(Someone) had a better chance of winning besides me since she filmed a good series."

I use to like her too but she's getting me really pissed off and she's extremely annoying me especially her attitude and personality? I mean.. VOTING FOR HERSELF??? Never knew she'd go this far with none of her series getting high ratings nor her roles are being liked.

I thought she would vote for some veterans from HOG or maybe another series, but guessed..not. Or maybe she doesn't even switch on the TV at home and watch. Or maybe she just follow her own series... and therefore THINKS that she's done GREAT. Well, just from here, you can see that she's very desperate for the award. >_>

^Yes! The so-called "black" face. If her acting is really that good, she could have hidden that "black" face without us noticing...but apparently no. Usually if somebody (a friend) wins something, even if you didn't win anything you would be happy, not for yourself, but for your friend right? I don't see this in Charmaine. in simple terms... bad sportsmanship. A bad example for kids.

Her crying scenes were quite different in Drive Of Life she was pulling her hair like mad and tears were falling off like mad but then.. she over did it. Looks mad fake now. I said this before.. she always copies other actresses. She copied Gigi Lai, seriously, the way she cries is the SAME AS GIGI!

See.. I told you she's copying Gigi. She copies so many actresses. TVB is using an actress that can't act and just copies off other actresses when she can't do any better than them. God.. she looks mad mad mad mad mad ugly!

TVB should just stop promoting her; what did she ever give them? or her series are bomb; without the heavy co-star, i dun think people will watch her. NExt year she will be in most of 08 and 09 series; can we call them or email them to stop putting Charmaine on-screen? Or shld we sign petition to tell them that not a lot of people like Charmaine so stop putting her on screen already. Is she famous in China? becuz i know War of Beauty is famous becuz Gigi and Sheren in it not becuz of her; after that show people in China love Gigi and she more popular over there.

I didn't really care about her before, when she first started out.
But after the totally rigged awards last yr, i hated her so much. seriously, getting an award over ada choi and sheren? plz.....
and she is so into competition, seriously in the calendar shoot, its obvious jessica's gonna have a better status than her. she didnt even have to dream about being in the centre of the photo. not gonna happen. how could she even think that she's the #1 sister, jessica's not gone yet.

if tvb was fair, ada, sheren, yoyo, etc would be above her in everything right now. shes just lucky that shes good a sucking up. come on, trying to be lead actress of FH2?, i totally support yoyo in that series.

and she needs to calm down. being in almost every series doesn't mean that she'll get status and recognition. all she'll get is "rating poison" status, and crazy wrinkles. she's aged so much. gigi lai looks way younger than her.

o remember how she thought DOL was going to beat HOG in ratings, and she was so confident in it. in her face, DOL got poor ratings!!!!

i feel sorry for jessica too. at first charmaine wasn't in dol, and jessica was the lead actress being paired with gallen lo, but then gallen was unable to film for some reason, and then charmaine got added in right before eveything started. if jess was the main character, dol wouldve been a success. or better yet, if charmaine wasnt in dol at all, dol wouldve been great

I know this is a Hater's Thread, but you guys don't need to be to "overreacting." Like seriously, I don't hate Charmaine and I don't like her...I only like her with Raymond. But, I did feel that it wasn't fair how she got both "My Favorite Female Character" and "Best Leading Actress". If she was to get an award she should have received MFFC instead and Ada Choi and Sheren both deserved Best Actress. But I don't like how everyone;s like overreacting and thinking she's that evil. And most of these things are rumours, how would you guys know, if you guys trust the media then that would be even worse, you know the media these days. So don't go jumping to conclusions unless you post proof

Isn't it clear that Charmaine voted for herself???? How can the media make that up?!?!?!?! And sorry for being overreacting but I love being overreacting. Most of them are rumors but some are not. I don't believe the media but I do believe the ones about her voting for herself. The media can't make it up. And I saw her interviews.. she pisses me off. That's all I know.

It's true that we can't trust the media entirely. But hey! We don't say things without proof XD Since the media tends to exaggerate or probably twist the stories around, it's therefore hard to believe the newspaper or the magazine. However, an interview on-screen tells alot.. and also, during last year's anniversary.. even if the media didn't mention anything about it... i would have figured anyway.

i know my limits. Besides, I don't have so much free time to actually waste time to demoralise her.

OMG I CANT' BELIEVE THIS IS PART ii!! And im very pleased to see that there are LOTS of ppl there out there in this world that really dislike charmaine sheh in so many ways. In 2002-2003 i actually like her as an actress but then i got so sick of seeing her years after. I really want to say that she sucks in acting. She's getting all the titles "best actress awards" all over china. I hate how tvb is like turning charmaine into a goddess for their company!! whats so good about her???!! Seriously, this b*t*h is just pure lucky... she won third place in MHK and became popular in such short time over her years working for tvb! While other actresses like Halina Tam, Anne Heung who got like first place in MHK are like given minor roles for tvb and are never promoted by their company.
Plus, she's getting uglier each time i see her. She AGES REALLY FAST! gigi lai is like older than charmaine and gigi has a the ability to keep her looks stay young.

Charmaine gets uglier day by day. She's so ugly that every single time I see her I feel sick. Seeing her on screen makes me more sick. She gets the awards for a role that isn't outstanding. It'll make TVB look stupid if they give her the award again this year.

I agree 100% that we should all sign a petition to TVB protesting: NO MORE CHARMAINE SHEH...P-L-E-A-S-E! To elevate the intensity, I think we should get some haters from Canada, Us, Malaysia, or anywhere in the world to write a letter or even argumentative essay on "The most hated actress of TVB: Charmaine Sheh"...send it to some "representative haters" in HK and mail TVB under anonymous all the letters.
I hate Charmaine Sheh so much that I don't even want to watch TV anymore...as long as she's on the screen. What's the point of wasting your time on watching something you're enraged with? Especially that now Drive of Life is on, I want to watch it for everyone else besides her, but because she's there I have such a hard time enjoying the show.
She's not pretty nor can she act. Rather than saying she's a good actress like some people out there do, let's say that she is rather good at IMITATING the techniques and styles of acting. Plus, the roles she play are recycled over and over again. Her roles - consisting of only ones in the "Little Miss Nice" - are all she plays, because she ain't have skills. However, SHE CAN'T EVEN PUT UP A GOOD SHOW WITH THESE PLAIN SIMPLE ROLES! With no co-stars in the shows she's in, none of those shows would have any viewers. No originality, no talent, no striking features. She cannot cry, cannot smile in the most natural way either. The thing I have against her is that her personality totally sucks. She is just a jealous brat who is arrogant and whips up nonsense feuds between people. I don't know whether she flirts with practicaly every guy she comes across or not, but the fact that she starts these "wars" between herself and other actresses will fuel her downfall. VOTING FOR HERSELF? How much conceited can she get?

I'm sorry if I'm being a bit harsh, but this is not what you classify as "overreacting". I think the reactions and opinions represented by people in this thread rooted from the actions of Charmaine herself, not from the unreliable gossips from the media. If Charmaine really isn't "evil", her bad reputation could not have survived over time, because if she DID have talents and an outer and inner beauty, they will erase the negative opinions people have against her. BUT NO, all these "I HATE CHARMAINE" ideas are based on and supported by facts, and people can SEE that she is undeserving of her status in TVB.

Oh.. and one more thing that I forgot to mention. If you say we are over-reacting then what about Charmaine's bunch of over-zealous fans? I went to a site that has all of TVB-related news and the first thing I noticed on the tag-board was all of Charmaine fans hailing harsh comments at the poor webmistress when what she did was merely wrote an article based on her OWN opinions about Charmaine and the moment the fans saw a negative statement made by the writer (she claimed she's not a hater) they started throwing all sorts of insults at her and tried so hard to defend Charmaine with their might. NOW that's what I called "over-reacting". It's just a small little thing... if they didn't react that badly, I wouldn't even have noticed it.

the article was true. but it was written by? as in the user or media? i'm blur abt it. charmaine's standard is not enough to be compared to the last time TVB fa dans such as flora, jess, ada, kenix, maggie etc etc. but i somehow dont understand why ppl always love charmaine when i dont even find anything interesting in her. its very pathetic that she has more and more fans when she is not even qualified for a name of 'fa dan'. and another think i dont understand is why tvb loves to promote her. not like she's the prettiest or the best acting actress in tvb. i even find gigi and myolie acting better than charmaine's. and of course, gigi is so so so much prettier than charmaine if they're compared. its uncomparable. but i somehow dno why ppl loves charmaine so so much when i hate her so much like nobody's business.

Well, I've read the article and although I agree with the main content but I think it's a bit over-the-top. Using words 'without doubt' and even Ada can't act out 'Carmen Wah' is a bit too much. I think Charmaine in truth didn't do her character justice. She got an awesome plot and the hottest guy as her co-star yet in the finale the centre of attention is on Jessica. Arguably it is because Jessica's character is centre to all the tension because she's stuck in between the bad guy (her husband) and her family (the good eyes). That's not to say Charmaine didn't have a chance to shine because the plot reveals how it was her fault her Damien was in the 'accident'. It just lacked something which I can't figure out.

comparing with Jessica and Charmine is a bad move. first of all.

these are only my opinions so no one has to agree with it, but then i do ask those who are neutral or like charmine to at least give respect since this is in no way a war...its a "critics hang out"

1. Jessica can talk and not sound annoying.
2. Jessica has been in the buisiness longer then Charmine from what i know.
3. Jessica can loose an award and still stay humble.

i don't think Charmine haters are "over reacting" i too think that Charmine is sitting too high on her "high horse"

when she started out, i gave her a chance, but damned, i didn't know that she would end up in DOL with RAYMOND...totally ruined it for me.
