Since Sunny Chan is back to TVB, will there be a Detective Inv. Files V? Is it in the works?

i HIGHLY doubt they will make a DIFV..but i really wished they did because DIFIV was a total bummer

Oh NO! Why would they not consider a part V? Wasn't part IV a cult hit? I LOVED this movie and want the storyline to go on...How can they end the movie with both couple separated? That's just terrible.

Well first off its a series not movie.. but I'm sure thats what you meant. Second if they do make a 5th one I hope to god that it'll be with the cast of the first 3 series.

So is it just me or was part IV a big hit? I thought they would definitely do a part V at the time but Sunny Chan left for ATV. I want to see a part V but only with the part IV cast (Sunny, Charmaine, Louis, & Jessica)!!! Can someone please confirm whether or not a part V "might" be in the works?

i think there's still a chance for a part 5 but tvb just wants to make other types of series first.. i hope there's a part 5 because i just love DIF .. it's such a good series but i didn't like the ending of part 4

Me too...... i didn't like part IV as much as the first three parts....the stories weren't as exciting and non-predictable. if they did make a part V i don't think it would be as good as the others since they won't have much to say except drag on from the previous part IV
anyone agree? i think they should start a new storyline with new characters and stories....

well i really hope dat there would be a difV, though the chances are small...
but if they are really going to flim it, i'm sure that it's gonna be hot amongst viewers

The first three Detective Files were ok, actually, the first one was ok but the rest were not entertaining at all. This is due to the fact that i am really tired of watching characters in tvb lose memory then regain memory, and some psycho twin comes out.

anywayz, make detective files 5 but if you can't make it well tvb, do not make it at all...

I didn't like the ending to part 4 i am still mad abou that. Oh well the world still goes in circle. I do hope they make part 5, so they can redem themselves for the poor ending on part 4.

I would really love to watch a part 5 to this series. I love this series so much that I watched it over so many times. One thing that stuck to me in watching part 4 was the ending. Till now I still don't get the ending of whether Louis Koo was really smiling or upset when he saw Miss Mo talking with Sunny at the bar. I don't know, to me it seems like it was a frown to me when he saw Sunny talking to Jessica but that is just my opinion only. I really really hope there is a part 5 to this series and I think they should make one to make up for some of the not so good series.

hopefully there is gonna be a part 5 i really enjoyed watching IV i loved the theme song to it. And there was sooo many stars in it. At first i thought Ellen Yeow was anne hueng sister. Wow they look soo similar ahahaha lol

Yeah, I just hate the fourth installment of this series. I hope TVB will make part 5 with Michael Tao (since he had return) with Kenix (although i dislike her, I just think DIF will be so different without Kenix)

after watching DIFIV a few years ago, i had hoped there would be a DIFV
i know that many ppl, including me had wished the ending to be different but that ending really left a deep impression so the series waz a success anywayz
well, sadly i don't think TVB will make DIFV but i still hope they would

I do hope there is a part 5. I really like all of the DIF (1-4). For part 5, I don't mind the same cast from DIF4. Maybe not Charmaine character but definitely with Louis, Sunny and Jessica! Maybe add Ada Choi in it!

I hope TVB will consider filming part 5 since Sunny's back. As for Louis, maybe he will spare time to guest star in the new series with an additional of male lead which will chase after Jessica??? hahahaha

Jessica and Louis did a great job in part 4. I'll hope they will make a better job if they did part 5. And it was so sad that they couldn't be togheter....

man, i wished they would make dif v but looking at how louis is focusing on movies and jessica signing the one drama/year contract, i guess hopes of that is really slim.

Definately not...Has anyone seen SUMMER HEAT? The same producers as DIF series, and if that's all they have to give, I doubt a 5th installment is necessary.

I loved this series....Part 1 to 3 was awsome!! Part 4 was good too but it wasn't with the people in 1-3, just didn't have the same feel. I hope there would be a 5th with the original crew, even though I like Louise Koo...I still prefer the original cast. I highly doubt that they will make a 5th part though. They should start a good DIF type series with cool crimes with a similar feel as DIF!!

now that michael tao is back wif tvb...i would like to see him and leung wing guen and kenix together again for the original detective investigation files series...=D

i didnt hear about Detective Investigation 5.....
BUt that would be soooo cool! i loved the last 4 series (especially 4 because louis and sam was in it!) thet are such a cute couple. If there is part 5..they can count on ME watching it! hehehe..

I didn't think Dif 4 was a bad series. But, after the rolling credits there is an extra scene where Louis runs into Jessica @the bar and later Sunny comes in to talk to Jessica while Louis is on the phone with Anne. I like to think that this is where it will pick up from. A new series starting with Sunny and Jessica as a couple. Hehe...

I hated the ending for DIF IV. What was that? Stupid. I was seriosuly looking for DIF V but then I doubt it. Louis Koo is concentrating on movies. I don't think the cast is going to come together again. SIgh*** disappointed

It would be so awesome if they do come out with a DIF V. It wouldn't even matter if the have the same cast or anything. And what every happened to that CSI type show that they used to have? They could definitly continue with both of those serise

i hope there will be...the way they ended things....you thot there would be one real soon...but 4th one didnt have as good of a ratings as the first 3

I was crazy about this series...but I didnt watch part 4 as it wasn't the original cast. I would prefer the original cast...they are more real and their acting skills are more superb

That sounds like a good idea...I will definitely watch this. Especially Louis and Michael. Haven't seen them in one series before, think they'll be great working together. But the thing is that this series will cost a lot to be produce, because I know that Louis gets paid a lot (like #1 salary...not sure if it's the same now). So I don't think TVB will actually put all of them together in one series? Then again I could be wrong.

They sounds like a great cast, but they also got to get some hot ass girl to attract the audience.

it's possible,in healing hands 3 they have like 20 celebrities in it ,like louis koo,roger kwok,gigi,lawrence hg,bowie,flora....

wow, that would be great. i loved michael tao in the dif series, him and louis koo would be awesome, but doesn't louis koo rarely do series anymore? but that would definitely be great to watch.

I loved DIF series .. but I think they shouldn't make more parts to it.... espeically when sequels ... or part 3... 4... etc.. never seem to be as good as original...

i think they should just make DIF V and quit from there.

that seems to be a very good idea, TVB should use people from DIF 1-4 to act in it and maybe add some new people too
then after the series comes out see how many people watch it before they decide to make more

I was hoping that they would eventually come out with DIF V after seeing the first 4. I think it would be great to bring back the cast from DIF IV and add new ones. I felt like DIF IV left a lot of things unfinished for some of the characters and DIF V could finish to top it off.

No offence to Michael But personally i prefer the cast for DIF IV if we have a part five i would much rather have the same cast from part four.

i think if there was the cast from dif1-3 and dif 4 it wouldn't be that good cause there would be too many parts for the story to cover.. like it'll be quite impossible for the story to cover each character's story within the series... so i personally prefer just havin the cast from dif 4 if there was gonna be dif 5

i dont think they should make dif 5 it doesnt make sense if the old cast from dif 1 to 3 join up with dif 4 the storyline will be so mess up. Then ppl going to start complaining about how dumb it was to make it. so i rather they just end it like that, there no point.

DIF has changed cast completely in 4, so i don't know what will happen with 5

If they are gonna do a part V continuing from part 3, they would probably need Joey Leung back. But is he still with TVB because I have not seen him for ages.
