tidtod I am just simply comparing those who are over-rate and those who aren't. It is not okay to provide an example of my arguement. Just because this thread is about Hebe, does not mean I can't use a comparsion. Any do you see people agreeing with me? Yes? ^ ^;

First of all, tell me what is ur definition of overrated? Overrated actually means someone with no talent at all but he or she has been pushed up to the top to be one of the biggest star. Is Hebe one of those? Of coz not. Hebe is very talented in alot of ways. In singing, musical instruments, her cool personalities, wackiness when off-screen, her politeness and ability to write songs.

In singing, her voice stands out the most by having the more versatile vocal range. She can go low and high. What's no good about that? That's a true talent. If you ask me, I would say that Hebe's voice can really shines well out there if she's been compared to the other talented singer. She can go for solo as well. Nothing wrong with that but we wouldn't want it to be that way because we all hope that S.H.E remain intact forever.

Acting, she had proved herself in Bull Fighting isn't it? She has the cool personality and vows that she could only cry once a year. But because of the drama that need her to cry every now and then, she did it, didn't she? Her crying scenes really improved. It's a big improvement for Hebe to be able to cry so freely in front of everyone. And what do you call that? That's an acting talent. Actually Hebe did get alot of dramas and also movie but she rejected them all because she wants to focus more on her singing. She even rejected to be in a movie with Tony Leung. Selina and Ella said that many of the producers were asking for Hebe to act in their traditional drama because of her looks. She has the most versatile looks in S.H.E Selina would always stick to her princess look while Ella would go for her tomboyish look. One more thing to note, that's not a talent but it's a natural beauty. =) U can't hate her because she's beautiful.

Hebe's personalities. She seldom speaks and is very quiet in S.H.E But, hey where does the rumour comes from? Hebe and Jay...? Gosh..as if they were true. See, the attraction is that, the mysterious aura surrounding Hebe has captured the media and they wanted to write juicy news about her...and also what is it about Hebe being a lesbian? If getting close with a girl friend is called lesbian, are we all lesbian then? Then whats up with our best-friend-so-called-girl-friend? It's not Hebe's fault if the media and the paparazzi trying their best to dig out juicy news from Hebe. One more thing to note...you can't blame Hebe because she's attractive. It's the media that you should blame.

Last but not least, I definitely do not agree with Hebe being overrated. Hebe's full of talents and it's not wise to call her overrated. She deserves her popularity and fame because she worked hard for it...24/7...never give up!!!

And in the end what did she get? Jealousy from those who dislike her. It's common in this world to get jealous for the things that u can have. (no offense but that's the world nowadays)

Hebe has the largest fans base? I believe that Ella has the largest fans base followed by Hebe and then Selina. Though, the fans base differ in different countries. But of coz, S.H.E should not be judged by their solo fans base because as a group, all 3 shine brightly and have their own good qualities. Without any one of them, there wont be S.H.E. Neither member in S.H.E are overrated. It's a never-gonna-to-happen-scenario. =) Cheers.

If I did offense someone, I deeply apologise but it's my opinion so Im just being honest here with my feelings.

i'm a huge S.H.E fan and i especially adore Ella but just like most people in this thread, i also DO NOT find Hebe overrated. everyone in SHE are definitely talented be it singing, dancing or acting, but they do have their own fortes though. as for hebe, i think she sings really well and out of the 3, she has the wider range of voice and could play more instruments.

as for the fan base, well, it depends on how you look at it. just like what others said, Selina appeals to mostly girls and Ella has a hold of the guys while hebe covers both the male and female fans so technically speaking she has more. but i guess we all need more info on the demographics before judging who has the larger fan base.

as for the looks, the girls of SHE has different appeals of their own. their all beautiful in their own ways. selina is the 'princessy' type; ella is the pretty 'tomboyish' type; while hebe is the naturally pretty one.

her singing will never be overrated.. among SHE her voice is the best. just listen to her lai bu ji, the lyrics and singing was really good! hebe's vocals was the best! watch bai wan da ge xing if you need any solo hebe singing performance to ensure that hebe is not overrated.

frankly speaking among SHE i like hebe best. not that i hate ella nor selina but hebe's dancing and singing and talent shines in SHE when backed up by her 2 other girlfriends/teammates/bandmates.

I'm a HUGE and i mean HUGe fan of SHE, my favourite i have to mention is Ella but i haven't failed to recognise the good sides of the other two members. Other than their music and really cute friendship, i also love them because over all they're actually pretty equal, in terms of talent and even fans i say. They each have a side worthy of admiring.

About Hebe, she is really talented and i loved Bull Fighting soooooo much!
As to why she may have more fans...personally i think of all the members, she's the most easilty relatable. Because those who keep up with SHE would know that the relationship they share with their fans is similar to one between friends so just like how when we make friends we usually lean towards those who are not too outspoken [like ella] and rather we rather talk to someone more...normal or quite. that's hebe. Her personality is really very normal and average, i guess in a way that makes her more approachable and real in a sense.

hebe overrated? i think she is not overrated at all. if she is popular i think it's because she deserves it. hebe has the best voice in S.H.E, though my favourite voice has to be selina's. hebe's voice is versatile, she can hit low notes & high notes with ease and has a voice that everyone likes. as far as her acting goes.. i don't think hebe is a bad actress at all. her tears actually manage to move me so i give her props though she's not as experienced in the field of acting as her bandmate ella is. dancing.. hmmm.. hebe's a good dancer. she has shown improvement through the years. i'm not a fan of her dancing but hebe makes up for that by singing extremely well so i can't really complain.

lookswise, i think hebe is SUPER cute. hebe is all about cuteness to me and her quiet personality adds an aura of mysterious sexiness to her. personally i think selina is the prettier one. personality wise hebe is okay. she's quiet, polite & doesn't engage in constant bubbly bantering like ella or selina. one thing i like about hebe's personality is how she's level-headed. she ponders before she speaks which is a good thing cos the media just loves to twist your words around.

having said that i must add that i love S.H.E as a group cos without any one of them, the band wouldn't be as successful as it is now.

PS : i get that some hebe fans want to prove their point that hebe is prettier than selina but i'm sure there are other ways of voicing your thoughts other than critisising selina's looks. a simple 'hebe's looks appeal to me more' would suffice than saying that selina's face is wide, selina is plain etc etc.. beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i find it demeaning to your idol if you glorify him/her by putting down his/her bandmates.

Hebe is actually my fav out of all the SHE members. I am kinda indifferent about them so my opinion shouldn't be too biase. I find Hebe to be the quitest one out of the three and her "calmness" kinda holds Selina and Ella together. She is not the the most out going person yet she can still shine on stage. . . . SO I wouldn't say she is overrated.

Hebe is not my favourite in SHE; rather, Selina is. But even so, I don't think Hebe is overrated. She has a beautiful voice, and she has a sort of "leadership" thing coming off her that makes me think she's the mature one out of the three. Selina reminds me of the little girl that needs taking care of, and Ella's the tomboy. I don't think Hebe's that pretty, but that doesn't mean she's overrated either. Personally, I think SHE would not be complete without any of the three girls.

i think she is kind of underated by the media cos ive read so many news about them and non praise their(s.h.e) voices. Not like news about other stars like Yoga lin etc where the media go on praising as though it is really that good. For S.H.E 's wonderful voices, ive got family members thinking that they are like those pretty vases acting cute and cant sing!

I think Hebe is very pretty and cute. I really love her voice talent, especially on Shuo Ni Ai Wo. She can reach high notes and I think she really improved on her singing and acting. But she doesn't talk a lot...

I'm not a fan of S.H.E honestly, but I have listen to their song and YES! I do love some of them. I don't think Hebe is overrated. If you compared her with other members in the group, I think the overrated should be Ella. You know, just throwing that out there, no offense to her fans. Blehh. hmmm....actually i dont think hebe is overated....i dont tends to listen to SHE nowadays....but back to the days when i do listen to them....Hebe seems to be the most quiet one.....she seldom open her mouth to speak unnecessarily....unlike the other two who chatters nonstop......i wouldnt know about her composing skills as i once listen to a piece that she compose but i only founds it so so.....vocals wise she seems strong in and her acting are pretty ok for me.....

Anyway back to the topic I dont think Hebe is overrated and I dont think any member of SHE is overrated because if they are then they wont be in this business for this long or as successful.

i lovee hebe's voice. but i can see your point about her voice being annoying, well anyone's voice can become annoying lol.

The only song I ever heard her sing was the one she sang with Fahrenheit & I thought her voice was okay. Not memorable or amazing. So do I think she has talent? Not really because everyone can sing like that with a little practice.

It is true that I have never heard her sing live & I do have to admit Fahrenheit's live singing isn't all that wonderful but that doesn't mean they can't sing. They just can't seem to keep in sync with each other but everyone of them has their own singing abilities. & I don't know how Hebe's live singing is but all I'm saying that you don't have to be born with real talent to sing like that. It's not that hard to carry a decent tune.

I've been in choir for 4 years now & every one of us who comes out of that class learns how to sing a real classic with great voice control. Some people (like me) go into the class with no singing abilities at all & yet we manged to lead our choir in many competitions & to become one of the best choirs in the east coast.

yes ,many people can carry a decent tune, however the quality of the voice is also very important, whether the voice is uncommonly good or very pleasing to the ears. I have to clarify that hebe's fans arent praising her just because she can sing in tune in CD or Live but because of her wide vocal ranges, how she can pull up a note etc and rich vocals you don't find easily , in fact some well-known musicians even said that hebe will be a powerful force in the music industry, and someone also said she is the most decent idol singer. Ive heard FRH sing individually and they really cant carry their tune. Once, one of them can't even carry a high note and thus try to laugh it off. I do believe this is a basic for a "singer". FRH cant sing live well and i really am not impressed by their singings in the CD also. Yes FRH can sing in their way, the way which a majority of people can..

anw if you are interested in listening hebe sing live, you can try her performance in "one million stars" (bai wang da ge xing).. or her concert solo...or the song "super star" live which is a clear evidence of how hebe can pull up her notes.

I went to see them sing "Super Star" live & I have to say Hebe seemed like she scream during the high notes rather than sing it. Needless to say, it wasn't memorable. What I consider good singing is someone who can sing from their diaphragm & have a powerful voice. & these are what Hebe lacks. What she is doing is just opening her mouth and bleating out the the lyrics. I don't consider that real singing.

I guess it's because I've actually taken vocal classes & know what "real" singing can sound like. But that's just my opinion.

I find that most of the idols today have the same bland voice & it just doesn't lure me in. I think Ella's voice is nice because it's unique. & I find that Hebe & Selina sound too much alike so their voices aren't that great to me.

But i want to add in that music teachers who had been judges in singing competition like "xin guang da dao" examples TaoZhe, YuanWeiRen..producers had openly said that S.H.E have talents in singing and Hebe have a powerful voice. Selina's voice is weakest in s.h.e thus she is the least popular in the group.

Hebe is definitely not overrated. Hebe has a great voice but sometimes, during their concerts, after along performance, Hebe can run out of fuel and sing without emotions but besides that, her voice is very lovely. She can do high and low notes very well.

Please note that I said that Fahrenheit has their own singing abilities. But that is way off topic here. It's impossible to compare Fahrenheit to Hebe.

& I'm not saying that Hebe doesn't have her own singing abilities. I just find that her singing isn't the best. You mentioned H has more fans. Well, I can associate that in terms of popularity between the three. You can't really say of who's the most popular out of the three. Others may have known S.H.E because of Ella's Hana Kimi [like I do], because of Hebe's Bull Fighting, because they live in Taiwan, because they have heard much about them, and so many others. Probably, you can just say that because you can see in most comments here in the net that their fav out of the three is Hebe 'cause she's like this and like that. But that's their OPINION, so it's theirs and we have to leave it to them. But that doesn't mean she's the most popular out of S.H.E. As for saying that H is the most beautiful and has the best voice thingy, we can't really get the greatest fact/answer to that in order to satisfy all of us but rather, it will remain as opinions coming the fans. H is beautiful in her own way but not the most beautiful 'cause beauty is immeasurable. H has a beautiful voice but not the best 'cause the three of them have different ranges in singing. But the three are great actually. For those who know H very well, they also surely know E and S as well, for those who know S surely know E and H as well, same thing with E it's because they're just in one band. Maybe it's more accurate to say that S.H.E is the most popular out of all the bands rather than saying that out of the three ___ is the most popular and has more fans because that will always stay undetermined.
