I really liked the themes sang by both Ivana and Kary. Love Exchange's song was nice to listen and Ivana's song was so sad and perfect for "Silver Mansion Golden Dust". <3

I don't think so...it's just revealing who's in "contention" for the top awards. It's still Gold-Silver-Bronze, so it's not sharing. Just gives more suspense if there's Top 5. But with Top 3, it's just a matter of the color of the award.

In terms of best theme song by a real singer (and TVB singers for that matter) was by Ivana and Kary. I thought Ivana's was really really perfect fit for SCOS..but I lean towards Kary's theme, because I like the melody better. And the lyrics for LE themesong are fitting.



Supposedly so..according to some netizens, the same thing happened with Fiona? She released XBF in 2003 and then her album and "Keanu Reeves Reply" in 2004. I think if it's true, it's a smart move by Universal, considering the number of female newcomers this year and how Keeva has no shot at JSG. So why not just wait till 2009, she'll either have a leg up or will be forgotten. But with her voice..it shouldn't be the latter.

I like Keeva's voice more than Eva's, but I think I like Eva more. Seems more "ying"..

Hacken will release in Dec and he's having trouble deciding his 2nd plug. He said that he really likes the ones that Justin & Khalil wrote and wanted to use those as the plugs, Justin even sang backup on his album. He should also plug Justin's song as well since their style are the furthest from his usual songs. Since they're not part of his company it makes the collaboration more special.

EASON'S TAKE IT EC CONCERT! Both features Keeva Mak (pure voice) and Eva Chan. I like Keeva's performance more...

So both Keeva and Eva is from Universal? Eva really reminds me of Jade, great singing but doesn't have much personality (as least she doesn't show it). Keeva sounds a lot like Kay, just that her pronunciation isn't as distinct as Kay.

Kay is in the hospital for surgery for a hole in her lung (I think that's what it is but something with her lung). It's the 4th time for her with this condition and it's gonna take her over a month to recover to be able to sing. Well, that might explain her subpar live performances and why she doesn't have enough air sometimes.

Denise's new album is titled "Ten Days in a Madhouse" (like the title!). Her MOOV live is going to be released on Nov 15.

Gigi will plug a new Cantonese song that she composed and wrote the lyrics too. She's hoping it will be big like 花火.

Regarding Denise, I feel she's a lot like Sammi as a vocalist. There aren't many people going around saying the two of them are great vocalist and/or their live is great, but they are extremely dependable vocalists and rarely are there people who say they aren't good vocalist, if there are any out there that say that. Meanwhile, they are both known for others things as singers.

I have recently discovered a new HK boy group called Square who is in the same company (someone please tell me the name of the company) as Elaine Kong (I think that's her name). Anyways, I want to learn more about this new boy group, but for some reason, I can't seem to find anything about them besides youtube videos. Can someone please post a detailed profile of them or give me links to sites with detailed profiles of them. Chinese sites are ok too although my reading abilities are very limited, so no forums that require membership please. Thanks in advance!

Regarding GEM, I also agree that she has a great voice and singing ability! Lots of potential!

Keeva's voice sort of reminds me of Stephanie Cheng. But for some reason, I like Keeva's voice much more live and on track. She did a great job performing Eason's "Crying in the Party".

Hmm, I think Keeva's voice resembles Kay's more than Stephanie's. Keeva's is higher than Stephanie's, and Steph's voice gives off this strength feeling (not that Keeva's singing is weak) but just that the feeling that comes off when hearing Keeva singing is different.

LOL, I'm actually listening to 無謂情歌 as I'm writing this post. One of the standouts from Steph's new album. Haha, you know, Ben should consider singing more (not bad looking either!)

Didn't think she could do Sherman's song, but she did well and she gets props for Sherman not totally covering her voice when they sing together. Their friendship is sweet!

About the Steph-Fiona fall out, I don't have the article. But it was something about Stephanie being more popular in HK this year, while Fiona was much busier promoting her mando album and practicing for her musical. To be honest, I don't think Steph has more popularity over her at the moment because Fiona is pretty popular in the mainland. Steph still hasn't released a mando-album yet.

Edit: Just wanted to comment on Miriam for a second. When she signed with EA/Amusic, didn't Peter Lam "promise/say" to Miriam that she'll get more chances for film where as GL didn't give her the freedom too. But apparently Peter gave a lot more chances to Sammi instead.

Sherman has a new album coming out?!!!! OMG I can't wait! Yup, Sherman and Elanne's friendship just seems so genuine and true, they always say that they are praying together or crying together. Their friendship is really sweet and supportive and amazing since they both have different image and style. Elanne singing the song gives a really different feeling from Sherman, like more innocent and forgiving. (It just seems rude that those people were saying goodbye when she was speaking )

As for Miriam, I too had the same thought. I was thinking why isn't Miriam filming more than she was when she was with Gold Label? But it could easily be the whole EA/A-Music "thing" that seems to be going on. Miriam did film "Hooked On You" which, acutally, I'm not sure if it was an independent thing or under Gold Label or EA because it was filmed between 2006-2007 (when Miriam's contract ended with Gold Label and started with EA). Miriam is currently filming (or going to film) a series in Mainland. Then again, it could easily be that Miriam is picking her scripts and she turned down offers or whatnot.

Triple thumbs up for William So releasing a new CANTONESE album!!! The first in 6 years. I seriously thought he would not release another full Cantonese album. I really hope Paco can help him get his year or two of glory, the same he got for Andy Hui & Edmond. Seriously, the whole bunch of them has had their success, including Ronald who's technically not part of the bunch, and it's time for William to get his.

Love William's album cover (even though it's not really original) and love the title even more! Stephanie really does have a horrible album cover. Hotcha's album title (Sexxy Funny Cool) total rip of "Dirty Sexy Money" (the TV series) and/or "Mad Sexy Cool" (Babyface)!!!

Keeva definitely sounds more like Kay than Stephanie. Kay has more of a 'thing' to her voice and Stephine has more power. Keeva definitely has more of a 'thing' to her voice.
For comparison sake: 最佳損友 Keeva & Kay, I don't think Stephanie did a version of it, but if she did please post.
The 'thing' Kay & Keeva has is that at certain high or low notes you feel their voices are going to crack, but it always holds up and it give the song this sort of rawness that's really rare.

Also, a big thumbs up for Keeva & Co. for plugging 吃不消 (a CY song) because there aren't too many artists/companies who plug CY's songs (he hasn't written much in the past several years to begin with). And those who have, have been successful (i.e. Faye & Eason) and I think it shows Universal's trust in Keeva.

As for Hacken's next plug, I think he should plug Louis Cheung's song. Everyone's plugging his songs, Hacken should too. Not to mention that Universal will have no problem with it since he's Kay's husband, which would serve as double promotion for Hacken and Kay.

And for Louis, I really like how his and Kay's careers are going. I'm sure Louis would rather have a more prominent singing career, but he's making money and a name for himself through his compositions. At the same time, Kay is getting her career going and in essence there's no "is the wife or the husband more popular?" and there's no "who's making the family income?" But I do think Louis should consider taking a side job as a MC for TVB or DJ for one of the radio stations because his brain adjusts so quickly and he'll just snap back things at you. Watch in on Super Trio and you'll see what I mean. Even Chin Ka Lok brought it up! (Yea, I'm using Super Trio as a gauge and it doesn't sound very intelligent, but hey, Super Trio showed why the Miss HK winners won and why the runner-ups didn't.)

I agree that Louis should be an MC cause I remember a 2005 event for the newcomers where they had a play thing where he acted as the mom. His expression was so funny definitely reminds you of the Super Trio hosts =P

I actually like Keeva's rendition of Eason's 最佳損友 because Keeva can actually sing a male key (not that Kay can't but she's weaker). It looks like Keeva is the next "Kay". If you guys saw the rendition of Kay singing Beyond's 海闊天空 & 大地. She can't really sing male songs while as Keeva's pretty good at male songs.

For at17, it's the 2nd ep of a series like Pong's ep series.

For Elanne, the barely above a whisper of her voice for some notes kills her singing (at least for me). She definately sounded A LOT better in 好好擁抱 (and like Clesias says, she gives the song a different feel). Judging from this week's JSG, Elanne has improved in singing, but obviously no where near Sherman Sherman was good with her live performance of 野百合!

As for Steph-Fiona, if we're talking about results this year in HK, I think it's pretty clear that Stephanie has outperformed Fiona. Steph had better charting results with her songs and I think her songs this year were more popular than Fiona's. With that being said, Fiona was not in HK promoting for like half a year, so it's understandable that her results aren't as good as Steph, who focused in HK this year. But in a more general terms (like outside of HK), it's obvious that Fiona has the upperhand. She has the Mandarin album and the series/movies, plus I think her duets with Khalil were pretty well received in the Mandarin market. Plus Fiona's in Warner, which can give her more international opportunities, while Steph's in a small company, Star Entertainment.

Speaking of which, Fiona's live has definately improved since she came back from Taiwan. 天國的微笑 live on this week's JSG:



I actually really like 天國的微笑 more and more with each listen. One thing I like about Fiona or Warner, whoever decides, is that while Fiona is considered more of an idol singer than a "sut lik" singer, while she of courses plugs K songs, the majority of her songs are "different." And it was risque for Warner to decide to plug 劍龍在草地散步 as her first Cantonese plug after her Taiwan hiatus. Then to follow, I thought for sure they would plug a K song, but while 天國的微笑 is a slow song, I don't think it can be classified as K song.

As for Miriam & filming movies, to be honest, I feel that if Miriam wants a to do a certain movie, she'll get it. She has the box office clout and EA is one of the few companies still doing movie. If she didn't film this year, it's because it's her choice, most likely she didn't find a script that she liked yet. EA does appear to give her a lot of freedom in what she's doing. It also seems clear that Miriam is focusing on her music this year. I can't quite remember whether "Hooked on You" was filmed after she signed with EA or not, but I remember that by that time, it was clear that she was going to sign with EA.

Sammi only has 1 movie yet to be released, the one with Eason. I don't think she has filmed anything since..

Thanks for the clips guys..am I in the minority if I liked Keeva's version of 最佳損友 more than Kay's? I didn't prefer Keeva's version until it got to the chorus when I felt that Keeva's version was more comfortable and a better listen to me.

As for Louis, yeah, he's really funny & quick. I think he would make a great JSG host actually.

not sure if anyone saw the 2008 Korean MKMF Music Awards show, but Khalil won for Best Asian Artist and he performed "Ai Ai Ai". I'm not sure if he was performing in Korea or China, but the Korean artists saw him performing - either on a screen or live.

He sounded great. This is great exposure for him.

I just checked Yesasia and found out that Janice's long-anticipated 4th Studio Album, entitled Serving You, is finally releasing!!! The expected release date is November 27th, 2008 (instead of the rumoured date - November 21st), and there will be 14-tracks in total!

- The discussions going on at the HK forums is that 903 appears to be supporting Myolie and there is a chance she'll crack the top 3 for female newcomer come awards time. Which is weird considering she belongs to TVB. (If in fact she does win, that'll show TVB!!!)

Yea every performance was lip-sync except for the trio part! =/ That rap was definitely the best part. Seriously don't get why they have to lip-sync especially when the dance moves aren't even that hard? They should seriously ban lip-singing in general it's like they're trying to lie to the viewers. If you aren't singing live just dance to the song, don't have a mic and pretend you're singing live! Besides the anniversary I hated how Raymond and Myolie lip-sync to Khalil and Fiona's video 復刻回憶 when the dance was a slow dance that wasn't even hard. Bad part is Khalil was on the same show singing love song =/ I wonder how he felt about that.

Some news:

- Paco denied offering Leo 30 million to renew. Said that he is confident Leo will re-sign. According to Paco, Leo wants to develop in the movie industry and Paco thinks that GL is good in that area. (Is Paco serious about being active in the movie industry?? If Leo wanted to do movies, EA & EEG are wayy better options)
- Paco has not confirmed attendance to Metro Awards. Rumors of a GL absence again. Paco said that it depends if his artists get awards. (again..Paco? It's Metro..everyone gets awards. And not a good thing to say aloud - makes you guys look a bit petty. Miriam sat for 903 & JSG despite getting only 1 award).

to Khalil for getting recognition from Korean music awards! It's been a while since HK singers have gotten recognition outside of HK.

As for Gem's 好好擁抱, great cover. Gem & Sherman really do sound like each other, but for the song, I think it's too embedded in me that 好好擁抱 is Sherman's.

So, Universal finally decided which composed song Hacken is going to plug? A bit surprised that they chose Khalil. I thought they were going to do Eason or Hins. Considering 903 usually bans Hacken, I guess it won't help Khalil's chances for Composer? Though 天國的微笑 is (finally) starting to get some significant airplays. And how about some applause for 千帆 finally charting on 903 last week!

As for Myolie, from airplays, looks like it will be Silver. No way she can catch Gem (I like Myolie but sorry she shouldn't catch Gem!). Though the others are all around the same # of airplays (Tina Chu, Keeva, Fiona Fung, Jamie Fong, Cherry Wong). If the rumors are true that Tina & Keeva are releasing next year, Myolie should have no problem being Silver.

It is surprising that 903 is supporting Myolie, I don't believe the other TVB newcomers got that support (Ron & not even Ray). But if anything, TVB is probably the happiest over this news. Because quite frankly, Myolie "needs" the 903 support more than any of the other TVB singers. On HK boards, she is the most hated TVB actress. But TVB decided to gamble and give her 4 series next year and an award at Anniversary..so clearly they are 100% behind her. They need Myolie to get a quick turnaround on buzz and what better than to switch the focus onto music and try to gain back some goodwill that way?

I remember earlier conversations about whether Myolie would get a newcomer award at JSG. Back then, I thought so and I still think so now. Why would they pass up a chance to award one of their own when even 903 is supporting her? Looks to me now, JSG female newcomers (no order): Linda, Myolie, Eva (I'm guessing Joyce doesn't count..because not released an album yet).

Speaking of newcomers, I think it's a bit sad that EA is not really helping out Cherry Wong but having their loaded lineup of singers help promote her much. While they are helping out Bosco with Ivana.

They should have cut the dance, the dance was kind of stupid and not necessary for the song. If anything else 復刻回憶 is a big "feel" song.

I disagree. If Myo was to get silver at 903, there will be no "turnaround" but more like she'll just get bashed for it (even if it's fair and she deserves it). HK Linda fans are gonna pounce at her at the forums.

4 series. So what? It's quality over quantity. Look at the roles Myo's been getting, or will be getting. They're the same old roles. Even Chau Heung, which had potential to be different, TVB is able to twist the character and storyline and make it just like all the other roles Myo has been getting!

And when Myo won the award at the Anniversary, look at the reaction from the so-called netizens. Even when the award was decided by actual judges (which they named loud and clear), they still think she doesn't deserve it.

Turnaround? Pfft, you gotta be joking me.

By the way, I think Myo is releasing her EP on Nov 30th, not 28th??? Hmm... gotta double check.

Somehow I got the feeling that 903 is going to be behind Myolie also. Argghh I totally hate biased fans because I really think that Myolie's debut album will be better than Linda's album and that she deserves the award at any other awards ceremony than JSG. Besides they should know better than expect a TVB artiste to get an award at 903 considering Ray didn't get one there? But biased fans will always stay biased fans...

Albert Chau seems to be really good.

Based on singing alone, Myolie's debut will definately be better than Linda's. The fact that her record company decided to plug not a typical K ballad but 單身旅行 is reason enough. Though I think I might be disappointed because most of the songs from the EP are songs that have appeared before in series. Regardless, looking forward to it.



I said TVB was hoping for a turnaround, whether that happens is up in the air. But I can say that it's not entirely impossible.

First off, 903 is the "voice" of the youth generation in HK. If 903 is giving it decent airplays, it is possible there will be a turnaround because it is the youth bashing her on the HK boards. Secondly, the general response on the boards IS good for the song. Many have said that they were surprised by her being able to handle the song and that it was good. Some have said that Myolie should focus on singing instead of acting. Many were able to differentiate her singing and from their so called "dislike" of her. They do admit she's a good singer. There might have been a minor discussion on if Charmaine Fong would have handled the song better but even those say that Myolie did a good job on the song. So a turnaround is not out of question.

Also, I really don't see the majority of Linda fans bashing Myolie, though obviously there will be biased fans of all artists. They should know that Linda has no chance at 903. If Myolie wins at 903, the bashing probably will come from fans of the other newcomers, Colleen, Rannes (who really does deserve to place), Fiona Fung, Eva Chan - since all 3 have more singing "cred" to them.

In the eyes of TVB, 4 series is clear sign they are promoting Myolie. Though I don't think it's a smart strategy from TVB to try to counter it by featuring her in so many new series. One would think that they would hide her away for a while to try to lessen the dislike towards her. Btw, rumor has it that Neway Star requested Myolie to dress in the suit at Anniversary.

Is Paco like stupid for saying such a dumb thing to the press about Metro? Everytime he says that he has confidence of keeping his artistes in GL, it fails. So, why even bother to say it?

As for Hacken's 今夕是何年, I like it. Khalil sure has talent, and I am glad that he's getting recognized for it! 今夕是何年 is a song that needs you to repeat it a couple of times to get use to it. But it's a great composition overall.

And for Myolie, no comment 'cause I dislike 單身旅行. I feel like her interpretation of the song is very stiff, I would rather have a slow song picked for her. 單身旅行 might be better if Charmaine Fong had sung it.
Myolie's a strong singer, no doubt but I hope she gets Bronze/Silver from 903. Gold has/needs to be GEM's!!

EDIT: Does anybody know what stations are distributing the awards for the 四台聯頒音樂大獎2008? TVB will be distributing album of the year, and RTHK (like always) will distribute the Media Award. But what about the other 2 stations & the awards?

Wong Cho Lam's debut is also releasing soon (expected release 11/27)...is there a chance he'll get anything at the awards since he was pretty favored this year by tvb? he'll probably be the one that tvb will especially create some outrageous award for.

I don't think there's any announced date for the release of "Jacky Cheung World Tour" but I heard they were still working on putting it together, so I have a feeling that it will be delayed till next year, but then again, now until Dec. 31 is still a long time.

The Myolie-903-TVB thing is a little tricky IMO. Sure, TVB would want another station to help promote Myolie, but would TVB be willing to allow another station to tell them that they promoted the wrong person (i.e. Linda)? I think it's pretty obvious that TVB intends on giving something bigger to Linda come year end and, in essence, 903 (by not giving anything to Linda) is telling TVB & HK listeners (903 is the most popular radio station in HK so it matters) that TVB is promoting based on their own politics and not because of talent. BUT then again, TVB awards are all based on popularity and 903 awards aren't.

I think it's a bit tricky not whether TVB will allow 903 to award Myolie (because 903 will award Myolie even if she doesn't show up), but whether TVB will allow Myolie to attend. If TVB allows Myolie to attend then I think we'll know how that TVB is accepting the promotion from another station.

I'm glad William So is back. He's the same old William So, just that he updated his songs so they fit the industry now. Very versatile, very good sign for Paco! Love 婚誡. BTW, since there are a lot of Khalil fans here, "So I Say" (the song) is written by Khalil, penned by Wyman.

I had this feeling that tvb is going to give Joey the best female singer award again cause currently she is doing a variety show for them. hope Miriam will get the female singer award.

I think Leo might get his first TVB male singer award this year cause he is doing a variety show for them but not sure about Eason Chan.

You can't say that TVB is probably going to give it to Joey just because she's doing a variety show for them. Otherwise I can say that they're probably going to give it Miriam because she hosted Mr. HK for them.

Same with Leo and Eason. Eason hasn't been as active this year but he filmed "The Last Paradise" for TVB as well. Clearly you have not done enough research to support your award predictions. Though your predictions may be right, you have used the wrong/weak reasons to back it up.

^ Actually, your research is a little off. "The Last Paradise" worked into the awards "calcuations" for Eason last year (2007) because it was filmed in Nov/Dec 07.

Just to tack onto daydreamgirl's predictions, if Ray isn't going to win "gold song" at TVB (which I still think he will), then Kay is the likely winner because she too filmed a show for TVB. But she is one up on everyone else who is filming a variety show because she filmed the travel show with Stephen Chan.

I think things will work out for TVB if Andy Lau decides not to show up. Joey/Leo for "favorites", Miriam/Hacken for "asia's favorites" (based on status), Denise a top 10 song only (which seems to be the only thing she's getting year after year anyway), Eason gets "mandarin - gold", and all the top-tiered are covered. Then there's all these scattered awards to keep companies happy, like Joey could get "commercial - gold" & "mandarin - silver" to "repay" what was supposed to be 2 female awards, Vincy & Ray will get "duet - gold", William a newcomer award and EEG will be happy. And depending on how things work out for Hins, TVB might need to please Universal and give Kay the "gold song", but if both Hins & Kay can get a top 10 (which is very likely) then TVB might opt to give Ray the "gold song."

Oh, and Leo is hosting HK's version of "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader"...totally adorable.

Oh yeah, I don't know if anyone noticed but all the TVB males have signed to big record companies and the females to small companies. Why is that?

^ That is odd with the females signing to small companies and the guys signing onto the big ones. But one possibility is that there are more young female singers than males, so the big companies who are overflown with females might want to sign more guys.

I definately think Ray will get a gold song at JSG. Not really any hit song this year, so it's more "acceptable" to reward him, plus anyone else feel that the chances for him winning Gold Song is higher because he lost "Best Actor" at Anniversary??? Now that I think of it, there might be a scary possibility of Gold Song Gold Also, I think it looks sure that Kay will get a Gold Song..

Well Miriam didn't win when she hosted Minutes to Fame. If Joey wins this year, she breaks Anita Mui's record. I don't think anything is sacred for TVB probably except for Liza Wang..so the record is definately open. It's gonna be an interesting competition as the days wind down to the award. Personally I still think for some weird reason that EA signed Bosco to help Miriam.

If we go by company for EA (not taking into consideration the female singer awards), it should be Miriam/Denise gold songs, Bosco - newcomer award, at17/Fama - group awards - feel like one of them will get Gold with Twins out of the picture this year. For EEG, Wong Cho Lam will also likely get something.

Goodness, I really hope Leo wins at JSG. He's been long overdue for that award.

Anyone remember..did Paco ever say he was confident in re-signing Miriam the last time?? Or was it always definitely looked like Miriam would go to A-Music??

Just to clarify: when I say "gold song" I mean "gold song gold" and when I say "top 10" I mean one of the top 10 gold songs. My apologizes for any confusion.

I guess Myolie has announced that she will be attending all 4 music award ceremonies, so I guess TVB is accepting any and all sorts of promotion for her from the other stations.

As for the Paco-Metro thing, tell me he didn't seriously mean that Gold Label would have to win the most awards for them to attend because I seriously don't see that happening.

So I heard 今夕是何年 (the live version), and I know this is a Khalil song and all, but I seriously don't see why so many people are saying that the song is different for Hacken. The melody might be a little more updated for Hacken's style, but Hacken totally turned it into a signature Hacken song. Again, the same singing style and he adds his signature vibrato at the end of almost every line. Instead of conforming to the song, he once again made the song conform to his style. Sorry, but that's a no-go for me.

Eunix is plugging 人釘人 now, which is absolutely weird. But apparently she is in the recording studio recording her next album, so I guess they're starting the pre-release promo now.

As for EA signing Bosco, I think EA just wants to be apart of the TVB game. Since all the other major labels have someone connected to TVB, they need to get with the program also.

I think 903 just wants more controversy because they are obviously pushing Eason's 後台 and is making him a contender for one the male awards, possibly even gold. I have no idea why 903 is bothering with Eason, anyone care to enlighten me? However, I think it is (and should be) Leo's year and charting wise up to the 47th week, Leo should be leading all males for the gold.

Also, I believe Kay is leading for the "album of the year" at 903 but Miriam is her contender (unlike our earlier prediction of Joey).

No one mentioned Wong Joe Nam's plug 豬豬BB UN咕咕, which has been plugged for weeks.

Sorry for bringing up William So again, but I'm so happy for the positive response to William's new album. The response is limited, and understandably so since he didn't leave winning anything major and new listeners wouldn't know much of him, but even in the limited response I'm glad it's positive. There's a lot of saying that the album is high quality and one of the better overall albums this year, which I am extremely glad about and maybe Paco will consider promoting him. I can't say if the album is high quality or not because this William So is the same William So I've known since.

I like the cover of Janice's upcoming album, the traveling theme with the drawings and a matching album title. Definitely a more mature look and the most creative album cover for Janice. Love the umbrella "hanging" on her bag.

Just to backtrack a bit and answer some of the questions...if you haven't found the answers yet:




903 will give out the "song award" and Metro will give out the "outstanding performance" (or "improvement" whichever term you prefer) award.

Now backtracking a year or two:
You know, timing plays an important role in the industry and I think the only time Andy Hui has had luck with good timing was in 2001 (i.e. the JSG Male Singer Award). I say this because if Andy Hui held onto 大愛 and released it this year it would've been an automatic hit because it's written by Khalil. So timing was definitely not on his side, but at least 903 recognized it.

Back to now:
I like Myolie's first plug, I think she did a good job with it -- at least the recorded version (I'm not big on her live versions). The recorded version was strong where it had to be and it was relaxed where it had to be. So definitely props to the arranger & lyricist. Especially the lyricist for putting the "relaxing" lyrics where the music dictates.

Well it's Hacken, he has to like make every song of his into this 'classic' style..I mean "Victory"...The Hacken-ness never gets lost in his songs.

Btw has anyone listened to the recently released subsong for Gem from Bowie & Gigi? I am impressed with 赵增熹. All 3 songs (themes & the 2 subsongs) are good and extremely hard to sing. And I just love Shirley Kwan's theme now, it's so fitting and Shirley does a great job.
